Quicktime downloaded but not showing up in applications
For some reason Quicktime Players disappeared from my OS so I downloaded it again but it is not showing up in applications. Have rebooted but no luck.
QuickTime Player 7 installs in the Applications/Utilities folder.

App Store Apps downloaded but not showing up in Applications folder
I purchased some apps from the App Store while logged into a Parental Controlled user account. The apps are not showing up in the limited Application folder in the doc. I logged out an logged back into the Admin folder and made sure the new apps were selected in the available parental controlled apps. Then I logged back into the restricted user account and the apps are not there. As well, the game center downloaded apps are not showing up. Not sure how that "game Center' is supposed to work. You would figure when you download an app it would be available right away, no?
When you have "Use Simple Finder" and "Limit Applications" selected, you do not have an Applications folder. The Apps Are Selected in the parental Control panel under "Apps" > Allowed Apps> App Store.
They should show up somewhere. I would assume in the Apps folder. -
Tom voice downloaded but not showing up in system voices
hello all, i recnetly restored my mac back to os x mountain lion from a backup, when i download the tom voice it gets installed but doesnt show up in the system voice box, how do i fix this?

Podcasts are downloading, but not showing up in Itunes Library !
Hi guys.... this is d3riving me up the wall !!!
I'm running Windows XP. I recently had some work done on my computer and had to restore Itunes. Initially, nothing worked, but now the only issue I have is with podcasts.
I select the episode I want for download and that works OK. Once the download is completed, the episode is nowhere to be found in Itunes. When I look in the 'podcast' folder in the itunes library in Windows, it is not listed.
I did a search and found these references...

Note 1) Fischer's Brick is the name of the episode of PE'S podcast
Note 2) 1,310,720 on line 2 and 1474 are the file sizes.
Note 3'E' I have set Itunes up on my 'E' drive rather than 'C' which I believe is normal. Don't know if that is relevant as 'Songs' Audiobooks seem to work ok with these settings.
If I select the second line and tell windows to open it in Itunes nothing happens. Actually, what happens is that ITUNES will start playing a song that I downloaded that day!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
'It's the iTunes library files which, along with the iTunes Music folder and some other files, are found in the iTunes folder that iTunes uses to know the contents of the Library.
It sounds like you may have only copied the iTunes Music folder to your new computer, not the entire iTunes folder. Can you confirm whether or not that is the case?
If that's what happened, repeat the process , making sure the whole iTunes folder goes along for the ride. -
Photoshop CS5 Materials- downloaded, but not showing in Repousse
When working in Repousse, the Material selection is small. If you go to 3D>Browse 3D Content Online, it takes you to a Photoshop.com page where you can download new materials. I downloaded the materials and installed into my CS5 Presets>Materials folder. When I reopen Photoshop CS5, not seeing new materials. Using the 64 bit version, I tried the Plugin folder also. They are .p3m files and one material extension file, see pict below. I am interested in the glass and metal materials.

Nevermind, found them. Its a small arrow on my LARGE wide screen monitor. Click arrow, can change materials!! -
Mail downloaded but not showing in Mail
On upgrading to Leopard Mail upgraded itself and though my mail was downloaded I cannot see it in Mail. I have looked in Library -> Mail but cannot see anything different to what was there before. I had a similar problem when I was new to my mini in '06 but cannot find the thread.

Question: I bought a 5 yr old Mac G5 OSx 10.4.11, 2 GHz intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB 667 MHz DDR1 SDRAM memory. It works fine but I can't get Thunderbird, Flash Player or Adobe reader to install -- it shows up on desktop as download but not App folder. Why?
The downloads are probably .dmg files (disk images). You would open the disk image (double-click it) to find the application or an installer. If it's the application itself, you then drag the application to your Applications folder to "install" it. If it's an installer, double-click the installer to run the installer that installs the application.
NOTE: If you iMac is Intel, it's not a PPC G5. -
Files show up in downloads but not in Finder
Files showing up in downloads but not in Finder I am running OS X 10.9.5 on my MacBook Pro. I am having a problem with Finder being able to display all the files in folders, if any. The files show up in downloads for instance but when I go to my downloads in Finder, the folders are empty.
The screenshot doesn't show the downloads…
It may also help to know what you are expecting to see in there - for example Application XXYY says I downloaded AABB, but I can't see AABB.
Certain apps have their own settings for where to store files - more info needed. -

It's not just Download Helper v4.8.3, it's also RealPlayer: the download display window shows .mp3 files downloading, but nothing shows in the folder when it is done downloading.
Also in the '''Properties''' window of Windows Explorer I '''no longer have the Details tab''', so I can't update my mp3 files with Artist, Album, Genre, etc. But the details tab does show up when I access it thru Windows Explorer.

In downloading my Events from iPhoto on my Mac to my Ipad Air, the Events arrive in Photos in the correct order but not showing the Key photo. At the same time, the Events arrive in iPhoto in a totally random order but with the Key phto showing. Why? of course and is there a way to shift the order in Iphoto and get a Key photo in Photos?

i tried to sort it out by dragging all the photos to Events on the Mac and then deleting them from iCloud - (left hand side of iPhoto under the section 'Shared'). the photos now show up in Events. I did force quit but the issue remains. The message reads ' photos are bing imported to the library. Please wait for import to complete.'
i can't empty iPhoto trash either. The message read "Delete error. Please wait for import to complete.'
WHen I was moving the photos to the Events I always had a message about duplicates - to the effect that the photos already existed, did I want to import them? I clicked on Yes, import all duplicates. But when it showed the images - duplicates side by side - one showed the photo and the other was blank.
I really don't know what to do! And I don't know how to handle my iOS devices. Is it to do with the large number of photos? Any help, advice appreciated. -

To use an Apple ID, in the iTunes/App store, requires a payment method be associated with your ID. That can be either a credit card, or if no credit card, you can redeem an iTunes gift card. So, do you have a payment method associated with your account?
