Quicktime error -2045. I can't use compressor! someone can help me?
When I try to send any video with compressor, never starts. Always appear this message: Quicktime error -2045. I have looked on internet and didn't find anything about that. Someone can help me? what I'm doing wrong?

What version of Compressor? Are you sending fom FCP X or another version of Final Cut?
I don't know the implications of getting that particular error code.

FCP X and Compressor 4 will no longer generate a movie file when I submit it. I cannot get a movie to generate from FCP X either. Instead, I get an error after submitting that says Failed: QuickTime Error: -2045.
I have uninstall and reinstall FCP X, Compressor and Motion. Until Saturday I was able to generate movies without a problem.
Does anyone know what this error means and how I can correct?I found my answer for this. Not sure if it will help everyone, but I was getting Failed with a zero code and with -2045 code. I did the uninstall and reinstall of FCP X and Compressor to no avail. But I also was running FX Factory from Noise Industries. When I deleted it (have to use the Uninstall Button on their menu and not just drag it to trash bin) then my error went away. It seems that one of the filters it put in added an invalid plug in to Quicktime and that was causing the error.
The Apple help guy had me create a new user account and run the same routine there. Since I had no error on the new user, the logic was that it was a plug in issue for my main account. So once I uninstalled the FX Factory app and its plug ins, then I was back in business. I am going to try to reinstall FX Factory later to see if I can get my Phyx filters back, but at least I am transcoding movie files again. -
Hi everyone,
I am trying to render a Motion 5 sequence in Final Cut Pro X (10.0.6).
When I send the render to Compressor (4.0.5), it appears to render successfully with the CPU maxing out at 100% for a few minutes and disk activity occuring as it would use source files for rendering. My problem with this occurs a few more minutes into the render when my Share Monitor alerts me that "Quicktime Error -2045" has occured.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Andrew.I've never had this. Is this M5 sequence something you exported out of M5 and then imported into FCP? Could you export it as a movie out of FCP and then import that into Compressor?
Kind of a vague explanation form Editcodes: Indicates failure to write a file properly (which you knew). Suggested actions (again from Editcodes) change the disk you're writing to; disable 3rd party plug-ins.

My iCal has frozen when I tried to add a cut and paste to the calendar for notes on a meeting I'm attending. I have to force quit but the next time I open it is still frozen and everything I've tried doesn't erase the message so I can continue using. Can't use at all. Help!

Be sure you are checking the email account that you used to set up the Apple ID you used to create the iCloud account. Also, be sure to check your spam/junk folder as well as your inbox. The email you should receive looks like the image below. When you get it, click the Verify Now link.
If it still isn't there, try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right look for a link to resend the verification email. -
My old itunes id was an email that no longer can be used, therefore, I can not change the password for that account. Everything that I purchased under that id name will not play. How can I fix this?

Apple recommends you change your Apple ID to your current, working email address. This will not create another Apple ID, it will only change it to your working email address. See Changing the name you use for your Apple ID if you'd like more information.
Note: @mac.com and @me.com Apple IDs can not be renamed. If you no longer use the .mac or .me email address be sure to add your valid email address as an additional email address.

No it is not. iPhones, like all cell phones are not locked to countries. They are locked to carriers.

I wanted to update my software this morning and it has turned into a nightmare. I continue to receive the error 1604, which is related to a usb port. I followed all the steps listed in support and nothing has helped. I just plugged in my printer cable to the usb port and it works fine, yet I continue to receive this error and can't use my phone!
A printer does not require power, and does not transfer large amounts of data. So that is not a valid test. It's like saying "if I plug a nightlight into an outlet it works fine, so why do 2 hair dryers on at the same time trip a circuit breaker?"
Are you using a port directly on the computer, and not a hub? If it's not a laptop and it has ports on front and back are you using a back port, which can supply more power?

Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time.
Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select Safari, if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window.
Wait.
Application will quit.
If this does not help, press the power button for 7 or more seconds.
Computer will shut down.
Restart.
Hold the shift key down and launch Safari.

Both are available in D2KWUtil.PLL, usually included in Forms demos.

I tried to restore my I Phone today but now its not working. The screen is stuck with the plug in picture, and only allows me to make emergency calls. It says I have no service and I can't use my phone.

I was having syncing issues with my iPhone (an original) and ultimately took the step to restore the factory default settings in an attempt to start over from fresh...iTunes 'sees' the iPhone device and seems to go through all the requisite restore, load, verify steps, but I can't get the iPhone to load the main menu. I continue to get a window that shows a USB Cable pointing to iTunes...I have had 800 call support technicians and genius bar techs look at the problem without result.
