Quicktime fails to launch with Error 46 in Windows 7

"Error 46: Could not load or find the QuickTime ActiveX control," in Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Tried uninstall - re-install as administrator without success. I have seen several postings indicating a permissions issue but install and run as administrator should avoid such issues. I also tried running in XP compatabilty mode with admin rights to no avail. I have yet to see any real solution. I have my Pro license but can't apply it till the appl;ication runs. Any suggestions for a real solution?

Hmmmm. So FairPlay, BonJour and iTunes didn't update, but QuickTime, AAS and AMDS did.
This has me wondering about security software interference. If that's afoot, we may be able to get past it by a "download, restart, disable, install" strategy.
First download and save a fresh copy of the iTunes64setup.exe (installer) file from Apple. (Don't run the install on line and don't start the install just yet.)

Now restart the PC. After the restart, do not open any applications. Disconnect from your network and/or the internet. Now disable all your security software (firewall, antivirus, antispyware).
Just in case, this time we'll start the install by right-clicking the iTunes64Setup.exe and selecting "Run as administrator".
Reenable all security software prior to reconnecting to the internet and/or your network.
... Any better luck with the install this time around?

3 Creative Cloud packages all fail on Launch with Error 16

Hi,
I am using creative cloud packager to create applications to deploy using SCCM, which I have successfully deployed in the past.
I created 3 new creative cloud packages this week, Edge Animate, After Affects and Premier Pro, for the 64bit platform.
The machines their to be deployed to are Windows 7 SP1 64bit, two machines I tested to were absolutely fine, all other machines tested to have deployed, but on launch all three apps behave the same way. A prompt suggesting I uninstall and reinstall the product. contact Adobe support if the problem reoccurs. Error: 16 (These machines are a mixture of freshly built and established desktops)
I have tried the steps to resolve similar issues for error 16 in this link http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/configuration-error-cs5.html
But they did not resolve the problem, I have recreated the packages and tweaked some settings but this consistently occurs regardless of what I do.
Any suggestions on what could be the issue or where to look for information to find the cause on the machines would be appreciated, there is not much regarding this scenario available from forums.

Error 16 is usually related to a permissions issue.

Quick Time (Audio Preferences) fails to launch with buffer overrun error

It all started a few weeks ago, after installing itunes7.0 for windows, and itunes began to annoy me (indeed drive me mad) with an error message :
"an unhandled win32 exception has occured in itunes.exe [3840]" at startup / closing immediately afterwards.
After numerous uninstall/reinstall/clean the registry/system restore attempts I managed to solve the issue-- BUT only for a few days..It failed again and so I went through the itunes support forums even found an entry
"iTunes 7 for Windows: iTunes fails to launch with an unknown error"
which suggests that my issue could be solved by :
"Open the QuickTime control panel and select the Audio tab.
In the Devices section de-select the Safe mode (waveOut only) option and click Apply."
But to my surprise, when i selected the Audio tab (and the Audio tab ONLY ) it presented me a "buffer overrun error" which indicated that the internal state of the program has been corrupt and it would be shutting down now..
It's such a nuisance..!!
Please, help, and your help will be deeply appreciated... !

let's try swapping out your existing QuickTime one more time. we'll take a few additional explicit precautions this time.
head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly now?

(1) Checked Setting, set to automatic update whenever, even changed to never update, rebooted the OS and changed back to automatic update and rebooted the OS.
(2) Stopped Windows Update Services, renamed SoftwareDistribution folder and started the window update services and rebooted.
(3) Ran MS FIXIT
(4) Ran System File checker Scan (sfc /scannow)
(5) Ran CHKDSK /F
(6) Installed "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" drivers from Lenovo site
(7) Ran Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB971033)
None of the above possible recommended solutions were able to fix the issue yet and now I am getting a message your Window is Not Genuine!

The Lenovo System Update installed the "Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver 8.9.2.1002" right before the Windows Upgrade got broken. So in the Device Manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, I choose Intel ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller, on the Driver Tab, I choose the option "Roll Back Driver" and after rolling back the driver and restarting the OS, now Windows Update is working like a Champ!

7.1.1 iTunes Fails to Launch (No Error Message, Pretty Weird)

After downloading iTunes 7.1.1, I installed iTunes. The installation went well and everything was installed. I had no problem with installation.
However, after installing, I tried opening iTunes. However it fails to launch and I don't receive an error message.
When I open the Windows Task Manager and check out the processes, the iTunes.exe appears for 10 seconds and then disappears.
The weird thing is, is that iTunes version 4.0 works perfectly. (I think it's 4.0. It's the one that has the green note. The current versions have the blue note.)
I can open it up and play my music.
I have a Dell Dimension 8200 (It's about 6 years old.) The operation system is Windows XP.
Can someone explain and tell me how to fix this problem, so I can open iTunes 7.1.1.

doublechecking one more thing that can help narrow in on possible culprits with these sorts of symptoms.
try launching your QuickTime. does it:
(a) launch perfectly fine?
(b) fail to launch with an error message? (if so, what does it say?)
(c) exhibit other peculiar behavior? (if so, could you describe it for us?)

LabVIEW 2009 launches with errors

Hi Folks,
LabVIEW 2009 launches with errors now everytime I open it. A window appears showing an error list with nothing in it, with a close and show dialog box (hangs with hour glass). Neither option is possible since the window self closes in about two minutes. It's a little frustrating since it adds to my loading time everytime I launch it.
Any suggestions other than unistall/install process?

The exact sme thing happend to me. But for me it was on the LV2010 version. Just suddenly it started to launch everytime I opened LV. After a re-installation of LV it was gone.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 800736FD, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)

OK, so i cannot enter into iTunes safe mode, whilst monitoring proccesses in the task manager I noticed that itunes will only stay open if i keep my fingers on shift and control-i dont know if that is worth mentioning- the proccess promptly ends after the release of the said keys, (I tried both the shift control keys on either side of the keyboard-same result) so i am stuck there.
P.S.
This version of iTunes had previously worked before, I uninstalled everything apple related after noticing how many processes (-id est-) /applications, were using up my memory.
afterwards I had need for iTunes, (i needed to wipe my iDevice) I reinstalled and this problem has arisen.

i m getting these two error when i import data using impdp.

perhaps you don't have table... (impdp created trigger before create table)
check about "NIIL.cc_bck_mgmt" table.
and then create it (trigger) manual ;)

EBS fails to launch with afpoload error

Hi,
All on a sudden our EBS refuses to launch, with the following error message. We are on 12.0.6 version, and haven't done any changes lately. As this is a production instance, we shall be raising an SR tomorrow when we get to work, but just thought of posting it here - just in case any of you have been there earlier. Any quick ideas will be highly appreciated.
APP-FND-01564 ORACLE error 942 in afpoload
Cause: afpoload failed due to ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.
The SQL statement being executed at the time of the error was: select NODE_ID from FND_NODES where SERVER_ID = :asid and was executed from the file &ERRFILE.

Have you tried to run AutoConfig on the database/application tier node and see if it helps.
Please check the application.log file for details about the error. If no errors found in the logs and the above did not help, then please obtain the FRD file and post the complete error message here.

Help!!! iTunes install error "Apple Mobile Device Service Failed To Start". Error 7 (Windows Error 193)

Help! Following a standard upgrade I got the error message "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows Error 193).
I am running Windows 7 and installing again brings the message "Apple Mobile Device Service failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services"
I have uninstalled everything Apple, deleted all related folders and run as administrator numerous times with no luck.
I had hoped that iTunes 12.1.2 would resolve the issue, unfortunately it failed to do so leaving me iTunes free which is driving me mad!
Can anyone advise what else I can do to resolve the error and bring back iTunes?

New install of Acrobat XI Pro launches with empty license window

I purchased Adobe Creative Cloud 2014 but when I download & install Acrobat XI Pro, it launches with an empty license window. Two live chat sessions with Adobe tech support (including total uninstall & re-install) have failed to resolve this issue. Anybody see this behavior?
