QuickTime: How to get hot unplugged device notification

Hi,
I am using QuickTime to write a simple video capture application (from USB devices, FireWire). I have written to capture the video using SequenceGrabber and it works fine. I need to notify the user when video device being captured it hot unplugged. I can not find a way where I can receive notification from device when video device is hot unplugged. I have searched everywhere but I could not found anything useful. It seems that IOKit can be used to bind to attached devices and receive notification but I want to receive notification from QuickTime(SequenceGrabber or VideoDigitizer) instead of directly hooking to hardware.
Please someone help me.

Thanks for your reply. I have already checked the QuickTime documentation but I did not find how to detect when a video device is unplugged while in use. I got how to detect audio device removal by adding property listener and waiting for kQTSGAudioPropertyID_DeviceAlive notification.
But I can not find any such method for video device. I searched everywhere on google but could not find anything.

How to get the last received notification timestamp when app in background

Hi All,
We are developing the app in windows phone Silverlight 8.1.
We need to show the last received notification time stamp even when the app is in background.
When the app in foreground, I can get the timestamp.
Since we cant write the background task for the Silverlight phone 8.1 app, I don't know how to get the time stamp of the last
notification(toast/livetile/badge) in the app for display.
Can anyone help on this.

Yes, continuous background execution is not supported but you can use background tasks.
(Continuous background execution in this context refers to the special run state permitted for GPS Navigation apps.)

My old Apple ID email add is deleted now how to get new on device??

You will need to do the following:
1.     Go to Manage your Apple ID, and sign in with your current ID. EDIT that ID back to the old email address. This is temporary. Do NOT verify the email address, do NOT change the password: Apple - My Apple ID
2.     Go to Settings>iCloud and Sign off of/Delete the iCloud account. When prompted, input your current password. Sign out of any other apps that are signed into the old ID: iTunes & App Store, FaceTime, Messages, Mail.
3.     Go back to Manage your Apple ID and sign in with the old ID/current password. EDIT the old ID back to your current ID. You may have to verify the email address again.
4.     Go back to your device and sign into iCloud, iTunes, FaceTime, Messages, Mail as needed.

So my icon for my text messages say that I have unread messages however when I go into check them there are no new ones. How do I get rid of it?

Have you tried to force close the Messages app. Double-tap the home button to bring up the task list. Swipe upwards on the thumbnail of the Messages app to close it. After that do the reset as I described. See if that will clear it. If not, then you will have to restore the device, first from a backup and if no change then restore as new. Restore as new will delete all content on your device.

How to get response of Workflow Notification Email from MS Outlook Express.

I have two questions:
1. Our business users had a requirement to approve or reject the Workflow Notification Emails form their Email account on MS Outlook Express. When they perform action from MS Outlook Express it sends email to wfmailer but no action perform in aplication. The notification inbox in application shows this notification as OPEN notification and the requested function also shows 'Waiting for Approval'.
2. I need to hide Request Information button/link from the email notification send through Workflow mailer to user. There are three actions button available in email notification Apprve, Reject and Request Information. I need to have only two button Approve and Reject. How to hide Request Information button.
If any one have idea regarding my questions please hlep.

How to get selected annoatation thru notification

Hi ,
I want to know that thru which notification, I can get selected annotations.
I tried to use AVDocDidSetSelection but this works when I select only one annoation .
And whenever I select more annotation using ctrl key then I don't get DidSetSelectionNotification .
Could you please let me know solution of this issue?

I found solution of the issue my self. I think I need to register AVDocDidAddedToSeletion notification for this.

How to get rid of the notifications center from the menu?

I unchecked all the "in notifications center" boxes so there is nothing in there. But the notifications center icon is still up there on the menu, over on the right side.
Is there a way to just get rid of it completely?

From the OS X Finder, hit Command+Shift+G and enter the path to /System/Library/CoreServices/
Locate “Notification Center.app” and click on the name to rename it to “Notification Center-disabled.app”, authenticate the change when prompted
Now launch Terminal, found in /Applications/Utilities/ and type the following command:
killall NotificationCenterQuit out of Terminal
Notifications will no longer be posted, alerts will be gone, and the menu bar icon is no longer visible. If you do attempt to get to Notification Center either through a keyboard shortcut or the sideways swipe, you’ll be presented with a blank side of the screen.

How to get playlist on device

I've made a playlist on iTunes, but it isn't showing up on my iPhone. I have Match and iCloud and they are set up at both ends. An old playlist is there, but not the new one. I even turned off iTunes match on the phone. At that point there were no playlists showing. Then they eventually came back -- without the new one.
I tried synching and that didn't work either.

I just bought Acrobat Pro 9 w/ volume licensing because Adobe said this would fix a problem we are having. Every morning we have users that login and get a box that says that do not have sufficient rights to update Adobe. I need this gone. Obviously I can't give them admin rights. We are running on 5 terminal servers running 2003 server. I just need a hack or something I don't really care.

It's not too difficult; just select your product, select what issue you're having, and select "Take in for service" or "Visit the Genius Bar." Most probably device token is the push channel url which is returned by MPNS when a request is made to it.
