Quicktime/Leopard - GARBLED AUDIO (in/from Safari web videos)

OK, so here is the problem:
1. I am using (the new) Leopard, and all updates have been downloaded and installed successfully.
2. In Safari, when an (embedded) video is present, the video appears perfect. However, the audio is garbled, and unintelligible. This is true for EVERY video I've tried to view on a webpage.
3. I've saved a few videos as Quicktimes to my desktop, and opened directly with Quicktime. The same problem occurs, without fail - GARBLED AUDIO
4. The most recent "test" was a Quicktime using the AAC, H.264 Codec.
5. It seems as if I have installed all of the appropriate plug-ins, but can't be sure of this.
So it seems as if this might indeed be a Quicktime problem, and not a Safari problem, but thought I would post here in case others are having similar issues. I will make the same post in the Safari forum as well.
What is the solution?!?!?!??

I have loaded my Firefox bookmarks into Internet Explorer Favorited. I also uninstalled Safari.
I go to iTunes on my phone and see no wat to connect my iPhone to my laptop. I see Music, Shows, etc., the kind of stuff I would expect, but no clue as to how to proceed.
Would you please be so kind to fill me in on how to "That syncing is done via iTunes. Connect the device to iTunes, select it, then go to the Summary page and select to sync bookmarks."?

Can I block Mac Keeper pop-up adds from Safari web pages?

I have a 2008 MBP running Lion with Safari 5.1.1.1. On several web pages I open that contain adds, these stupid Mac Keeper adds continually appear. If possible, how can I block them from appearing?

You can access the settings from Safari / Preferences - Extensions after it's installed.
I haven't seen a MacKeeper pop up using either Glimmer Blocker or the Safari Adblock extension.

Cursor Disappears After I Return From VIewing Web Video In Full Screen Mode

After I view a video from a web site in full screen mode using Safari v6.0.1 or Firefox v15.0.1, I escape to normal screen mode. When I then try to move the cursor using the built-in trackpad, I am unable to see the cursor anywhere on the screen. I do, however, see some artifacts of the cursor's movement in the text contained in the window and in the text of the menu bar as the cursor passes them.
What can I do to eliminate this "inconvenience"?

Airplay only streaming audio portion from iTunes music videos

ip5, ipad2 & 3 all current f/w & Apple TV2 :
Just all working correctly a little over a month or so ago. Now, can only get audio portion from music videos when Itunes Match is turned ON. Downloading music videos to local device & turning off Match on said device allows for proper a/v playback. Other: going into itunes/purchases and clicking on any purchased video will properly play to ATV2. Videos played via safari, youtube, other apps, also play just fine.
I've rest all devices, including router, nothing. Also restored AV2 & ipad3 just to make sure that the most recent firmware update to all devices was not the cause; result still the same. Friend attempted to play a music video they had on their iphone4/ipad2 and they too couldn't play a purchased iTunes Music Video properly.
Airplay is turned on on all devices.
Do people think this is a bug in the backend of Match or other? any help would be great, thank you.

What you want to do is, unfortunately, not possible. If you want to listen to just the audio for those songs you'll have to buy the audio tracks.

Quicktime movie w/ audio track from iTunes cannot convert to mpeg4

Ok so i have a movie in Quicktime Pro 7 and i opened a track from iTunes and added it to my movie. Now, i cannot Export the movie into an Mpeg4. Why? This is really annoying and I've been trying to figure it out for a while. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

Quicktime 7.2 audio... still no video

I'm very tired of reading this discussion every few days in hopes of finding a fix that works. I've tried trashing the plug-in folder. I've tried reloading Flash and Quicktime so many times I'm exhausted. I've fiddled about endlessly. All I can do is wait for the progress bar to "fill" and then reload the page. I am posting this in hopes that others will also post their progress and hopefully our pals at Apple will fix this minor but annoying glitch. And, if anyone out there has a solution that worked and hasn't yet been posted by all means please reply. Thanks.

That particular plug-in is used by Dashboard Widgets (just fancy Web pages) and without it some of them will not work as intended.
Newer versions of Safari should sort things out and you can drag it back.
I don't think it is a QuickTime issue and it doesn't happen to all users. I moved that plug-in out two years ago because it interfered with the Safari Activity window (hiding page elements). Updates to QuickTime over the last two years have put it back but I don't have any problems with it installed.

IOS8: why is the airplay icon missing from embedded web video players?

Can someone explain to me why the airplay icon that used to reside in the lower right hand corner of videos played inside safari or youtube or amblify is now gone? The only way I can use airplay is to mirror my whole phone from the control center which is kind of annoying. not to mention instead of my photos screensaver passing through when using amblify with my stereo and philips Hue, my guests have to look at the control panel for amblify. This is extremely annoying, is this a glitch or is this how iOS8 is supposed to function? ?f I am reading an article on my phone and I come upon a video related to the article its a lot easier to press that button than to have to mirror the whole phone from the control center . . .

In iOS 8, the AirPlay icon () should still appear in the lower right hand corner of videos you play on your iPhone. This function is not currently working as expected on your device, and I know that causes frustration.
To troubleshoot the situation, I recommend the steps in this article:

Burn Audio Only from iTunes Purchased Videos

I was thinking about buying the Green Day video album, but would like to burn the audio to a CD for the car. Anyone know of a way to do this, other than Audio Hijack? I seems to me Apple should have built this into iTunes somewhere.

There is no other way than using an application like Hijack.

After removing my cookies and plugins from Safari no videos work.

This morning I removed all of my cookies and plugins for Safari 5.1.1. After that no videos will load, be it in youtube or BBC or anywhere, in, for example Firefox they work fine, What can I do about this?

Thanks, but I never consciously put any of them there. I suppose I can reinstall Flash, but where and how to find the others whatever they may be?
It's really screwy that Safari has only a remove all option instead of sepatarte ones for cookies and plugins. One by one removal not much of an option when you have nearly 3,000 cookies and plugins total.

Dragging url from Safari to Mail creates web shortcut attachment

I was accustomed to dragging the url from Safari's address bar into an open mail and getting a page title and url text inserted.
This was incredibly useful for sending links of pages to mailing lists in response to questions.
Now in Leopard, dragging the url from Safari's address bar to an open mail creates a web shortcut attachment.
I can see this might be useful , but in a plain text email to a mailing list it's completely useless as it gets stripped my the mailing list software.
now I have to copy and paste the url - a lot more effort and I don't get the page title anymore that way.
Please tell me there's a hidden preference setting that can let me have the old way back...
this tiny little thing is marring my otherwise happy upgrade to 10.5
I just checked this action in my virgin Tiger install on my Mac Mini and dragging from Safari to Mail, gets a plain text url, but no page title, so maybe I had some helper or other adding that little bit...
anyway, I want to drag urls to mail and get text not attachments - can anyone help me?

I'm used to doing command-L to select the address bar, so to do command-L, command-C, click in the mail message, and hit command-V doesn't seem like much work. But that's me. I also found that if I drag a URL from the address bar it does put the link in without a web shortcut. But if I wanted to send a link in an email, I'd just hit shift-command-i, which opens a new mail with the link in it.

I need to know how to erase from my IPad, web history, caches and cookies from safari web browser.

System app... Click on Safari from the left side bar... You will see the the buttons to erase cookies, cache and history. You can erase history from Safari... Bookmark icon... History... Clear History button.

Copying Tables from Safari to Numbers

I am attempting to copy simple tables from Safari (web sites) and paste them into iWork 08 Numbers. When I copy a table with multiple columns and rows, it pastes into Numbers as a single column. For example, if there are five (5) columns on the web site table, the values in the first row of this table are pasted into the first five (5) rows in numbers. The second row from the table follows in rows 6-10 on Numbers. And so on.
I moved to my PC and tried to copy the same web site table into MS Excel, and it pastes perfectly. So what is it with Numbers that I need to change to ensure the pasting matches the original table?

The problem is with Safari, not Numbers. Safari just doesn't "understand" tables in web pages & puts lots of spaces and/or returns instead of the needed tabs. I long since gave up & use Camino or FireFox for copying the tables to Numbers or any other program I want the data separated by tabs. There are some web sites, Discover Card is one, that appear to have tables but the data doesn't copy as such.
