Quicktime links in Safari only show text gibberish - help

Lately, whenever I click a link to a media file from iPhone Safari, I only get to see its inherent text gibberish or meta file text.
That goes for AudioBoos, or streaming videos, etc.
Why?
How can I cure this?

In the Safari Settings of the general iPhone settings, do you have your "Allow PlugIns" setting set to On?

i m having a problem in safari loading problem,i.e it is not loading properly for the last 5 days .only text is shown but no images. i.e. websites are not displaying in proper order.i have checked the display images option in safari preferences and also change the user agent via Develop option but all in vain.

Hi,
Empty your Safari cache either from the Safari menu bar or Command + Option E
See if that helps.

I deleted duplicate files with MacKeeper and now my firefox only shows text. I have reinstalled firefox, java, and checked all of my settings. Any ideas? Safari works fine.

I opened iCal back up, all the dates were blank, so i started to type events into a date.
As soon as I started to double click a date to type an event, magically all the events in all the months reappeared.
I'm still puzzled why it acted this way and if I did delete something that caused it to act this way.

F4 help on variable screen only shows text or key...not both

In some queries, the F4 help will only show text oy key but not both. For example, the F4 help on 0employee only gives a list of personnel numbers. The search in the dialog box only works for the pernrs and we can't search for names.This is happening in some infoset queries and queries that are on multi-providers.
Is this something to do with read mode? Settings in the multi/infoset?
Any help is appreciated.

I still have the same problem with NW7.0 SPS15. Does anyone have a solution for this? Changing the Provider specific properties in the InfoCube or MultiProvider did not help for the web variable dialog.

Broken QuickTime links in Safari

Safari 1.0.2 (ver85.8.1)
QuickTime links are broken in Safari....go to same page with IE or Netscape and works just fine. Odd! Anybody know how to fix this. I have 'Pacifist', but can't find Safari on my orginal OSX 10.2 install disk. Thought maybe i could reinstall and it might fix the problem. Strange that QT works with competitor's browser and not it's 'integrated' browser. So much for the 'It simply works' slogan....Oh well, advice would be appreciated. Thx dave

One problem is that you are using an early version of Safari and it wasn't mature like other browsers. The other is that you are using a "dated" Mac OS X when web designers are moving to more recent technology. You will see that Netscape and Microsoft have stopped developing their browsers for the Mac.

Safari only shows half of the internet pages

Safari on my iPhone5 only shows half of the webpages I go to. It's not even a propper half, like, it's slim or missing the bottum. No, it just shows one corner and the rest is black and gray. It's hard to discribe so I made 2 printscreens. This is how it looks like when the screen is vertical:

If you are having issues with your iPhone only displaying part of a web page, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

Safari only showing address bar?

Hi Guys.
Something happened to my Safari and now it only shows half of the address bar.
Any idea's how to get the web page viewer back would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Login to another account on your Mac. Try Safari there. If you see the same problem, that could mean there are problems with the startup disk.

PB G4 with 10.4.5 - Safari only shows some images and system won't update..

I really hope you can help me with some good ideas on how to fix this problem.
A PowerBook G4 running 10.4.5.
Suddely Safari stopped showing some of the images on webpages (only white instead). I deleted the Safari preferences, did a reset to default of Safari and even created a new user to test Safari - same result.
As the machine is running 10.4.5 I startede Software update to update to 10.4.6 as I was hoping this could take care of the strange problem. When trying to update the Software update gets halv way in the status bare and just hangs in the same spot.
I then downloaded the 10.4.6 combo updater from Apple.com. When I start the update program I get to the screen where I have to choose a disk to install onto - the only problem is that there are no disk icons !
I have tried doing a fsck -yf on the disk and I have also fixed the permissions - still I get the same result when trying to run the combo updater.
Please help - any good suggestions to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated !

Give this a try:
Boot from your Tiger DVD. After the installer loads select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your OS X volume from the list on the left, click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now shutdown the computer for a couple of minutes and then restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (3.0.3 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.1.1 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

Messages field only showing Text Messages

Hi
For no apparent reason my 'Messages' has started to show only 'Text Messages' (ie no emails). I tried the Help function which directed me to 'options', but I only get 'Genereal Text Message' options.

Do you want to hide those Text Messages from your Main Message Box or your Emails were not populating in your main message box ?
Have you tried a Battery pull restart by removing the battery while your device is Powered On ! Please try it .
Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.
If Problem Resolves mark the post(s) as " Solution ", so that other can make use of it.

Safari not showing text

Hello
safari has started rendering fonts wierdly
on certain pages the text comes out as little squares for each character with A's in them
Last thing i did was to install office 2010 30 day trial
I have switched off duplicate fonts because i have heard this can cause a problem and i have tried to change the default font and fixed width font in safari preferences.
I am stumped after that and i cannto read Miscorosfts help pages because the fonts are displaying wierdly on that page

so it looks like its a corrupt Microsoft font
to fix i tried to validate the fonts in font book, bt it only found minor issues
next i went to the system fonts folder inside there is a microsoft folder which i compressed to keep a back up
I then deleted the original and restarted Safari, all fixed!
Microsoft offce seems to still work fine as well, but i imagine with a reduced number of available font. I may reinstall it to see what happens in the future.

When i open the add ons page in firefox the pages do not display correctly the pages only show text and are in lists

when i click on the add ons tab the page does not show correctly. There are no graphics just text. It is difficult to view the page details. If you click on a link within the page the next page opens with exactly the same problem. All other tabs and pages open and display correctly

UIScroll not showing text, need help...

And if you navigate to the "Biographies" page, and select
"Affiliated Organizations" you'll notice there is a scroll bar but
no text... Why is this?
I've only done this a million times and never had this
problem. It's a dynamic text box, sized to fit the screen, the
UIScroll is attached and it automatically assigned it an instance
name. Can anyone help?

My bridge in Cs 6all of a sudden stopped showing thumbnails of my nef files . It will only show jpegs. HELP!

Safari links coming up in unreadable text

Can anyone help me, one of our machines shows the links in safari in a unreadable text that looks like machine language. Only the links are affected.
