Quicktime not playing correctly in html popup

Hi, I have been crazy trying to fix this problem and I didn't find the solution.
I have just updated my system to Firefox 3.5.3 anq QuickTime 7.6.4
My site loads popups with quicktime .mov files inside. The problem is the funcionality of the quicktime files inside them. The streaming is working bad and when it starts playing ALWAYS GET STUCKED AT STARTUP (in all quicktime files, in all popups), even if the streaming is complete you hit play and it stucks.
I tryied to delete all scritps in the popup, to erase all the swf files, and even to put the single mov file inside alone and it's the same. I also tried to re-export the files from several quicktime versions, all the same.
If I try the direct link to the quicktime or to the .html it works well, but not in the popups.
Here is the url where you can test it:
http://www.hippiehouse.tv/motion.html (hit in any of the view quicktime buttons or the view reel)
http://www.hippiehouse.tv/motion/reel/showreelpopup.html
You can check the code of this html, if you have something to say or to give me some js or code advice to solve this issue I will be really greatfully
Thanks

Your page code doesn't give instructions to any browser plug-in and uses the out of date "embed" tag:
embed src="hippiehouseshowreel09.mov" width="460" height="360" hspace="2" align="left"></embed
The same code is used at all of your other popup windows and Internet Explorer doesn't know what to do (so it does nothing).

  • Embedded Quicktime not playing correctly in InDesign PDF - please help!!

ok - I have an issue that I can't work out and I'm hoping someone can help - tried searching for an answer to no avail. I've just built my first interactive PDF portfolio in InDesign. I should point out that I'm a producer/editor, so my knowledge of InDesign & Acrobat is not extensive. The PDF includes some embedded Quicktime movies. The movies play normally on one of my monitors (Samsung 1680x1050), but will not play correctly on my other two monitors (2x Samsung 1280x1024) - the audio plays and the play controller appears to be working but the video area is just all white...HOWEVER...if I open the PDF and play just one of the videos on my 1680x1050 monitor first, then all videos play correctly on all monitors. Have tried opening the PDF on another desktop and the movies do not work (in the same manner as above)- also tried on my laptop and the movies play correctly. Please help if you can - I need to get this out to clients and I'm baffled!! Thank You!

Is it as easy as wmode: transparent after shoving the swf into a table??? does the transparent option make everything outside the table dissappear? thanks...

  • Video portion of Nightwish DVD not playing correctly on Quicktime. It is not a smooth playback. Can I correct this?

Video portion of Nightwish DVD not playing correctly on Quicktime.  It is not a smooth playback. A little jerky. Is there an easy slution to the problem?

I worded my question incorrectly. It isn't a DVD I'm having the problem with, it' s a Nightwish concert download form iTunes I am having the video portion of the video that plays not smoothy. Like it is moothing it short little segments, not a steady flow!

  • Why does Quicktime not play this mp4 correctly

I can create an mp4 file (recording) from Belkin's @TV app but that file will not play correctly in Quicktime (or RealPlayer or iMovie, etc.).  While the video playback seems fine, the audio plays a couple of seconds, at "chipmonk" speed, and then there is no sound out.  However, if I move the playhead to any random place in the recording I can then hear another couple of seconds of audio, as before ("chipmonk" speed), and then silence.  The VLC player will, however, play the file correctly.
So, seeing that the file itself was not bad, I decided to try Handbrake to re-encode the recording.  And, to my surprise, Handbrake was able to handle the file correctly and produce an mp4 file that Quicktime (and the others) can play.
I don't know enough about these mp4 files to grasp what is wrong with the original Belkin output.  The Quicktime inspector reports that the Format is
       H.264, 352 x 240
       AAC, 32000 Hz, Stereo (L R)
       FPS: 25.37
Any ideas?  (Is there additional data I can look at about this file?)
I'm running the current version of Mavericks and Quicktime 10.3.

Another user in the Belkin forum suggested that I look at the recording's header info, and pointed me to AtomicParsley, which I have now run (using some basic terminal commands).

I have the equivalent for the recording's Handbrake output.  I did a file compare but there were enough differences (and I'm not a technical person) so I could not spot which of the differences mattered.  For example, I thought that the fact that there is "none listed" for the sound handler looked like an obvious clue until I saw that same thing in the Handbrake output.

  • MOV files from Ipad not playing correctly in 2010 Windows PPT presentation

I inserted .mov files taken from Ipad 2 into a.ppt on my work PC. I saved these files to the folder containing all of the videos I am showing in the ppt-- the same folder where the .ppt is located as well.  Then I inserted them as I do all videos (I create ppts often for work) -- and  the clips that are horizontal play fine but the vertical ones do not play correctly- audio and video not in sync.  any remedies?  (using ppt 2010, converted files to wmv, didn't work either).   I should add that when I viewed these files on my PC (by just clicking the file) they play fine, but they are not rotated correctly.  This must have been my fault when I took the videos.  However, when I insert them they are rotated correctly but just don't play right - looks like a Japanese movie.    please help!

  • Online video clips do not play correctly on all browsers

I am unable to play video clips at the right speed without them stalling and stuttering. For example, a typical YouTube clip will not play correctly, so the video will stutter and the sound won't play in time with the video.
This is especially frustrating when wanting to play music video clips as the song will stutter. This happens regardless of browser - Firefox, Safari or Netscape.
I have a broadband Internet connection but wonder whether I need to adjust speed settings somewhere so sound and music play correctly.
I have no problems playing songs via iTunes or watching video clips using Quicktime, it's just the embedded video clips on YouTube etc that won't play correctly.
    Any advice much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rob

Flash video is very CPU intensive, open activity monitor and look at your CPU usage while trying to watch a YouTube video, no doubt it is at 100%.
Unfortunately there isn't much you can do about this - my 400 Mhz G3 can't handle flash video and by the look of some previous posts on the forum I'd be surprised if any can .

  • Videos not playing correctly

I've had my video iPod for a couple of weeks and generally, I love it. But I noticed that just today (this was NOT an issue before), the videos do not play correctly -- and it's not file-specific. Here's what happens:
The first few rows of pixels lag behind the rest of the video. it's always the same rows. It's especially noticeable while watching Lost with its faster sequences. Has anyone experienced this?

  • What is the "Download All" button at the bottom of my playlist and why when I select it songs begin downloading and take up my storage space? If I don't download them the songs will not play correctly....

I have activated iTunes match and iCloud, now when I go to my Music app and choose me 'best' playlist, I see a button at the bottom of the list that says download all.  If I choose this option every song in that playlist begins downloading (near 1,000), this is taking up memory on my phone instead of using the cloud.  If i DO NOT download all of the songs they do not play correctly (skipping certain songs, not playing all the way through, etc.)  What's this all about and what can I do about it?  Why are my songs not just playing through iCloud? I thought that was the point.....

To be honest, you shouldn't need a great 3G service for it to be able to keep up with a song, but if it's a very weak signal then it could be the problem.
Unless you have unlimited 3G then I would recommend using wi-fi anyway, as you could easily run into monthly limits otherwise.
Do you think that it works better with wi-fi than 3G, or just the same? If it is the same then I would have to question whether this is actually your problem.
As to whether you should download songs beforehand, I would say that as a temporary measure it probably makes sense if it's possible as it will download them anyway and that way you get to listen to the music properly. However it does mean that you have to start downloading before you start listening which may be annoying.
I'd be interested to hear whether the performance is better with wi-fi than 3g though. It could be that I'm barking up the wrong tree.

  • FLV videos not playing correctly in Captivate 6

I am running into an issue where my FLV video is not playing correctly when my Captivate project is exported out and saved to the web. The FLV video is about 20 mins long (~100 MB) and it is being streamed from Kaltura. The FLV video is inputted into the Captivate project as a multi-slide synchronized video across 27 slides. The slides themselves are imported from Powerpoint. The problem that we are running into is that the Captivate project and the FLV video play correctly when viewed with decent bandwidth, but they do not appear to play correctly for users with slower bandwidth. However, if a user views the videos independently of Captivate, they can view the videos correctly, even at slower bandwidth. I have tried hosting the Captivate files on several different webservers, including an LMS. But the issue continues and I'm searching for any type of answers that might help.
Thanks for reading and any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Nathan

    Nathan,
Your welcome, if that is the case, then can you try and insert the MultiSlide Video, you can insert the streaming video URL.
You can add the server to you computer as network Drive and then browser to that location, once you do that, the options to add the Video as Streaming can be chose and your Vidoe would remain insync with main playbar, users can play and pause content that way.
See if this can be implemented at your end.

  • Some of my songs on itunes are not playing correctly...

i moved all my music files to my external hardrive, and they were working just fine. but for the last month, some random songs are not playing correctly!! they sound like how a scratched cd sounds (skipping, etc..., and then it just stops and it skips to the next song). the songs were playing perfectly before, it was all of a sudden, and not all, just some of them.)Also, the same songs that are not playing can not be transfered to my ipod... (tear)
    PLEASE HELP!
    (I have itunes 6)

Well, several people have now replied to this post, but if you mean Apple, the answer is "no". This is a user support forum, and Apple do not provide product support through it.
If you want to report a problem with something you have purchased, open the iTunes Store and login to your account. On the home page at the very bottom of the screen, you will see a link that says "Purchase History". Click this, and click the "Report a Problem" button and follow the instructions.

Hi just wanted to let you know I solved most of my XP problems with my new IPOD. It won't recognise the IPOD or driver and froze and locked up and then the battery died. After hours of trying different things here is what I did. I completly closed computer down. Waited 15 minutes turned on and reloaded everything. I put the usb cable in but not hooked up to IPOD. I turned off Mcaffee (all of it). After my computer came on. I then went and closed everything I didn't need in the bottom toolbar. (taskbar). I then reloaded the software and waited. Took forever to reload and I don't know why but whatever it worked but I DID NOT HOOK UP THE IPOD LIKE IT SAID! I instead shut down the computer after loading the software and waited 5 minutes and turned it back on. I again waited and shut of mcaffee. It loaded everything fine this time and said new hard ware and drivers detected. I plugged my IPOD in and YES I WAS UP AND RUNNING (THIS IS AFTER 6 HOURS OF PLAYING WITH OTHER THINGS!) I am able to load and play, burn, watch movies, see pictures and everything your suppose too! The only thing I see different than the instructions is I left my usb cable plugged in and when it said to eject the disk I didn't. I also didn't plug in the IPOD (5th Gen) and then I shut down waited and then restarted the computer. I hope this helps others because I know the feeling of wanting to return something you paid dearly for and worked hard at saving money to buy one and it doesn't work. My only thing I dislike about apple is they didn't supply a ac adapter for the IPOD and the instructions say to plug it up when trying to charge battery. DUHHHHHH, ya can't do that if ya don't have one and stores are closed and won' open until Monday! But at least I am up and running. I just hate having to plug up IPOD to computer daily to charge the battery which only last a half a day1

  • HELP....AVCHD / MPEG files not playing correctly!

I have been trying to download video that was shot with the new Sony FS100 camera that I'm told are AVCHD or MPEG files to my older Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 timeline, but they are not playing correctly. When I reverse the field dominance, the image plays better but the sound is strange (I was able to speed the sound to 450% and it worked better, but then the balance of the sound from the clip is lost somewhere.).
Any suggestions to make these files play and work correctly? I tried converting them to AVI files but that showed up completely black on the timeline! Anything I've tried either affects the video or audio negatively!  I try either makes the image play or stutterThis was shot in regular SD format, NOT HD, so they should be able to play on  a standard timeline. Can anyone suggest anything to help please? Much appreciated!

Thanks for your reply, I ran it through Media Info. Here are the results:
    Container & general information:
    MPEG-PS: 290 Mib  4min22s
    1 Video stream: MPEG video
    1 Audio stream: AC-3
    First Video Stream:
8833 Kbps, 720*480 (4:3), at 29.970 fps, MPEG video (NTSC) (version 2) (Main@main) (Custom Matrix BVOP)
    First Audio Stream:
    256 Kpbs, 48.0 Khz, 16 bits, 2 channels, AC-3 (DVD-Video)
Please let me know where to go from here. Thanks so much!

To whom it may concern, This morning I purchased an album, on listening to it three of the tracks are not playing correctly. I read on an apple discussion board that I should delete them and re-download them. This did not work as I was asked to pay for them, and one of the tracks was an album only track.

  • The music is not played correctly on my iphone (on Laptop it's ok)

    Hi all
I loaded some songs from my laptop to the iphone4 (on the laptops the files are ok) but when I played on the iphone ....The music is not played correctly - I get some cuts and it's jumping from one song to another. A total reboot or update to the latest OS did not bring any change.
    Thanks

I too have this problem which seems to be replicated several times in discussion groups.  I've swictched off iTunes Match, backup up and restored my iPhone and nothing helps. I'll try other discussion threads but if anyone has a solution, PLEASE post!

  • Musik with Dialog not playing correctly

    Hi there.
Music with spoken texts is not played correctly on my T410i with Windows 8 pro installed.
For example, the soundtrack to Kill Bill1
Track 5: Queen of the Crime Council - dialogue excerpt from film
Track 6: "Ode To Oren Ishii" - The RZA
The problem occurs in all music players (iTunes, Windows Media Player, the Windows8 App "Music" also flash based player of Sky.fm have this problem (e.g. http://www.sky.fm/play/altrock) .
Hardware: Lenovo T410i with Nvidia / Intel graphic card combination.
    What I've done so far:
    * reinstalled Drivers (Conexant 20585 SmartAudio HD).
    * reinstalled Codec pack (Klite Codec Pack (32-bit and 64-bit)
    * turned off the advanced features (bass management, Virtual Surround, ...) in the options of the speakers
    * switched off the detection of communication activities.
    * Speaker Setting is "Stereo" (two Speakers)
I have no idea why this happens, as soon as there is a spoken text in the music, it starts sounding bad with echo, cracking noise and the spoken texts are very very silent.
I don’t know how to fix this.

I am having the same problem with my Jam Pack loops. I bought the jam packs a few years ago and have been using them fine with my iBook. I put them on an external drive (trying to keep the iMac HD empty) and dropped the folder on my loops browser. They've worked fine with my iBook for years. I just got a new iMac and, again, dropped the folder on my loops browser. They play fine in the browser, but when I drop them in the timeline I only hear a faint beat.
    Any suggestions?
