  • Music video won't play- quicktime not supported by itunes?

just purchased music videos from itunes, but when i click on them to play, it says the version of quicktime isn't supported by itunes. i've tried to update quicktime but not sure ive done it right.

first thing i would do is disable syncing for all of your media that is causing an issue, sync the phone which will delete everything off of it, and then resync everything back.

  • Quicktime not supported by iTunes after ML upgrade

I have upgraded to ML 10.8.1 from Lion.
When I now receive new episodes of TV series as a part my season passes will they not run on Itunes or sync over to my iPad gen 3. I insted get a dialogue that says " This movie require Quicktime that is not supporterd by this version of iTunes."
If I instead download the HD version of the episode on my iPad and then sync it with iTunes will the file run !?!?
    I run iTunes 10.6.3 and QT 10.2.
    How do I solve this?
I want to continue to download on iTunes and then sync over to my devices, not vice versa.

  • QuickTime not supported by iTunes???

So when was QuickTime detached from iTunes and why?
    I'm running Yosemite 10.10.3
    iTunes v12.1.2.27
    QuickTime v10.4 (8336)
I wanted to play a music video and got this error message...
    WOW!

Do you just want an answer to the question, or is what you really want is help resolving the error message?   (Just so you know, none of us will know the whys and wherefore of Apple's actions, and even if we did, Apple has non-disclosure requirements covering pretty much everything, including, I suspect, what will be served for lunch in their cafeterias [and we don't even know if they have those because nobody is allowed to tell us ].)

  • QT not supported by iTunes?!?

I have several .mpg home videos that show up in iTunes 11.0.1 on my MBA (newest model, OS X 10.8.2) with the correct thumbnail pic. When I try to play them, I get an error message that says "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes"

  • QuickTime not supported on After Effects

    Hey everyone
I have spent some time trying to figure this out on my own and looked at a whole bunch of the threads and forums on here to help figure out my issue, but alas I can't. I know that people have expressed an issue with this before, but After Effects was working fine for me until a couple days ago and this was the first time I saw this message
    Before I begin.
I am working with Adobe CS5 Suite, so any and all other programs (premiere, media encoder) are saying that .mov (quicktime) files are not supported and they failed to import.
I am working on a windows 7 PC
    64-bit operating system
This is the warning that pops up when I first open After effects.
I didn't understand this warning because I have QuickTime and it works fine.
I still wanted to check to see if I was able to import the file.
Even still, I tried importing a different file and the same message popped up.
I know that these files work. I have played them through QuickTime and tested them and they are not damaged. and the 01.mov file has been imported into after effects and premiere before, which was why I wanted to test this file as well.
And here is a shot that shows taht the file is playing, and that in the upper left you see the quicktime icon.
I changed my administrator permission for quicktime, thinking I didn't have permission anymore for some reason. re-installed QuickTime (now having the most up-to-date version) and the same message keeps popping up.
My QuickTime component folder was empty when I went to look at it. I remember reading elsewhere that maybe I needed to remove the components and see which one was the issue, but there is nothing in there.
I am unaware if there are any third party plug ins that could be causing this issue?
I also wasn't able to figure out how to allow communication with After Effects and QuickTime through the firewall software that I have
Maybe that would be the issue? I don't even know if they are or aren't communicating between themselves already or not.
What confuses me is that bringing in a .mov file was never an issue before. and then these error messages started to happen.
Here is another error message I was getting when working with Media Encoder. I tried bringing in the same file as above to see if I couldn't convert it.
This was the error message that I received.
I guess I'm asking if anyone else is still having this issue with .mov files trtying to be imported into After Effects, Premiere, and Media Encoder. And if so, how did you fix your issues?
Thank you for any input that you guys may have to help me fix this.
    - Steve

    Hey Todd
Thank you for your input and help.
First, I do not have any issues anymore with my dynamic link and being able to export projects or convert file formats anymore. I do not know why I was unable to do so before, but i recently was able to connect and export 3 separate different projects since the post I added about a month ago. One of them being the project I am currently working on that I posted the QuickTime question about.
I also went to check for software updates under the Help drop down menu in After Effects and it said that all the software was up-to-date. (I have version 10.0.2 - maybe there is an update that my software isn't recognizing that I would need to install that could fix the issue?)
I can give more details that were listed in the "information I should provide.." link that you sent over.
I am running After Effects with the Creative Suite CS5.0 and the version of After Effects I have is 10.0.2
I also have an external Matrox Max for uploading some content onto my computer.
My desktop is a Windows 7 as previously stated.
    12 GB RAM
    64-bit operating system
    Intel Core i7 CPU Processor x980 @ 3.33GHz
And the QuickTime that i have is 7.75.80.95
Maybe If I can't get a new software update for AE (if my AE is not up to date), I could try installing an older version of QuickTime? Maybe that would solve the issue?
I just tried deleting that folder from "AppData>Roaming>Adobe>After Effects>10.0" rebooted after effects and the computer, and that didn't work.

  • This movie requires quicktime and this is not supported by itunes 11

I downloaded The daily Show with Jon Stewart and it will not play.
I've restarted; enabled 32 bit etc.
    No luck
    Help.
    Bill

Had the same problem; exported (copied) my purchased content out of iTunes, delete it, then copied it back in (add to library).  Worked for me, but what a lame excuse.  I even tried (after delete) to redownload from iCloud, same error -- requires QuickTime.  If Apple is watching these posts, then why is nothing being done?  We bought this material and should not have to export GBs of data only to import again, or worse, change a 64-bit program to run in 32-bit mode to make the purchased content work.

  • PC message - Quicktime not found - unintall iTunes - Advice please

I was trying to update iTunes & Quicktime software & it stalled. Now when I try to open iTunes I get this message...
Quicktime was not found. Quicktime is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes. Then reinstall iTunes.
    Questions:
    1. What is the recommended way to uninstall iTunes on a PC?
    2. Will I lose my music & apps?!!!
    3. To reinstall, when I plug my ipod back into the computer will it prompt me through the process? Any pitfalls to look out for?
    Thanks.

  • Download install error because it is not supported in iTunes

I just downloaded Flash Player update (Adobe) but when I go to install it an error pops up that it is not authorized? i.e. flash player no longer resides in iTunes though it is a FREE app.
I know this happened only because I did an OS (Mountain Lion) and Safari update which return my setting back to DEFAULT instead of my preference but I do not remember how to change to what I want. I need those directions again.
    Tks

    Hey Sparkgapper,
Is it possible that the operating system on your Mac is telling you that the Flash installer is from an unidentified developer? If that is the case, use the steps in this article to complete the installation -
