Quicktime not understanding:Optimum App for Laptop

I have tried numerous times to install the Optimum App for Laptop and it goes through the installation then says: Error 2048 Couldn't open the file OptimumappforlaptopWIN(7).zip because it is not a file that Quicktime understands.
I'm not a computer wiz, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Ok, so I called Cablevision/Optimum again and the technician I spoke to was very helpful. I allowed him to access my computer to find out exactly what was causing the opt. app to not work on my laptop. Turns out I had the wrong hardware installed on my computer and it wasn't allowing me to properly install the opt. app on my laptop. He installed: AVG secure search also and now I can watch tv on my laptop and the new search engine is much faster.
So, call them if you need help and enjoy the tv laptop watching!

Why is there not a "iBook" app for Macbook pros?

I just bought some books off of the iTunes store and I am rather frustrated that I can not open them in anyway on my Macbook Pro. Apple why have you not made a iBook app for Macbook Pros yet???

App Store will not Install compatible apps for older iOS versions.

Note to Apple, fix the App store so we can install a compatible version of an app for older iOS versions.
My iPad 1 maxed out at iOS 5.1.1. If I want to install a new app with this device ( one I have not ever installed), and the latest app says iOS 7 and above, ithe app store won't let me install an older compatible version, even if older versions used to be previously available .
I think Apple is trying to convince me to buy a Galaxy Tab for my next tablet. They are basically telling me to throw away my old iPad because it is no longer compatible with the newest iOS version 7 on the app store. You want that new app? If the latest version is only ios7 compatible, you're outta luck sukka.

We are fellow users here on these forums, you are not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple. Whether an older version of an app is available depends upon the developer.

Why not leave remote app for 4.2.1?

Hi there, with my family i own 3 ipod touches, 3 shuffles, and two iphones. I own two houses where i have set up a central computer to run itunes with airport expresses all over my houses to control speakers and music through the "remote" app. I am heavily invested in apple products and apps. My use of apple technology for our media enjoyment is truly great and never ceases to amaze guests. I LOVE "remote" and airport.
Since i have had to restore all my ipods for various reasons, i am now no longer able to download the remote app since apple only supports iOS 5 or later. They have instantly rendered my whole apple setup useless. This is extremely disapointing and they are basically telling me that my purchase of their hardware was a mistake and that they only care about people who purchase new things. Which is a great reason not to purchase new things from them.
What i don't understand is why they simply can't put a version of remote in the app store for iOS 4.2.1. You obviously have it, so why not just put it there?????
So little effort to leave 4.2.1 apps in the store. They could even create a special section based on iOS.
Now they are forcing me to consider alternative solutions, of which there are many. I simply would never have bothered to do this before since i was so satisfied with apple products. They are literally forcing me to look at alternatives and this is a failure on their part from a business and marketing perspective.
Now i will most likely go from an evangelizer of apple products to a hater. It is simply disrespectful how theyare treating people with old products...

Interesting. It really boggles me why they would do this. Seems it would be easy to seperate the app store into pre and post 4.3?
The devices i have work perfectly fine and do everything i need them to. I don't want to buy new devices. It is an awful stance to take and i find it very insulting. Is this not a big issue with users out there? Or is everyone just buying new stuff all the time?

Why can i not get WeightWatchers app for iPad in Ireland?

I am really annoyed.... Having recently treated myself to an iPad and rejoining Weight Watchers, I was psyched to see that an app existed to track points etc.!! Cant tell you my disappointment at not being able to get it - cant be got through iTunes Ireland! What's up with that? Anyone have a clue? FYi - have tried to set up a new account but Apple has cotton'd on & blocks it.....

I would guess that the maker of the app does not sel it in the itunes store for Ireland.
You can buy ONLY from the itunes store of your country of residence AND ONLY while inside the borders of that country.

I need drivers (not upgrades) and apps for Audigy 2 Plati

I have: Fresh install, WinXP SP2, SOYO Mobo (P4X400), Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum (driver: 5.2..443)
After installing the drivers from Creatives Website I thought I'd start installing the ap

However I have not been able to install any of them, no matter the sequence. I receive a "setup did not detect the required components." I have sound, I see the device and drivers in Device Manager.
Please tell me how to get around this "loud" stop error so I may complete the re-installation of my Audigy 2 Platinum card.

) make sure your sound card is snugly in the PCI slot and didn't pop out
2) using the dxdiag utility (Start>Run>dxdiag), use the DirectSound test to test if the sound you're getting is from a software buffer. If it is, you may need to physically reinstall your sound card.
3) make sure that the apps are for your sound card. MediaSource updates sometimes refuse to install if you do not use Creative's update detection utility to find the correct one for your card.

Optimum app not working in Mac OSX 10.8

I just downloaded the Optimum app which uses Sliverlight. It does not open or let me log in. Whenever i open the Optimum app for streaming live tv it just opens up on a blank screen. When I quit it I get this error message:

Ok so I called up Optimum and they told me that they will have the engineers look at the issue.
Yesterday, I got a call back from Optimum. Apparently, a number of Mac users were affected by the new update. They have fixed the issue and will be updating the app soon. Below is an updated version of the app that was emailed to me by Optimum (make sure to uninstall the previous version before installing this):

Nonetheless, you should still call up Optimum just to make sure in case your issue differs from the issue I had.

App store for iphone does not know my apps

I have a second iphone. When I log in with my user id in App Store in this second iphone I cannot see my apps already bought and if I search for one of them instead of having the availability to download theam again I need to pay again.
I know this is not the right behaviour because in my other ipad all the apps are available for download without paying again and there is even a functionality to find all apps in my user and not in my device. But in this ocassion it seems my ihpone do not see any app for my user.
Anyone know the problem?
PS I am using a common user id for the App Store

Just reboot the iphone and now it works.

Since I bought an official Italian 701 thinking that a native Belle phone would have been included in the enabled ones, I have to say the above statement is untrue, or misleading at least... Not to mention the lack of a support page for the 701 on Nokia Italy's web site, or the recently discussed issues about compatibility reinstalling Belle FP1 via NSU or Nokia Suite on the 701 itself. But these rants belong to other threads.

DDPB is a PC app that can be used to perform the side-loading process of the BAR file app to your BB10 device.
So, if someone somewhere (you must search the Internet) has created already a BAR file for this Cielo app you want (which you say already exists for Android and iOS), then you can download that BAR file to your PC, install DDPB to your PC, and then use DDPB to install the app (using the BAR file) to your BB10 device.
The process is called side loading. If a developer has not written their app for BB10, then you can still side load it if the above conditions are met (someone has created a BAR file already for the app).

Cielo app for accepting credit card payments.

Hi there, I don't even know if this is the right place, but if someone could help....
I'm form Brazil and a BB user for years, was looking for upgrading my 9900 to a Z10/Q10 phone.
My company will start accepting credit card payments using smartphones, but the bank says they only have apps for iOS and Android....Is there anyway an Android app could work on the Z10?

Bex apps for Iphone available?

Hi experts,
I wonder if anyone knows if there are any apps for Iphone available, that can be used för executing BEX queries or web templates. Please note that I am NOT interested in apps for SAP Business Objects, as we do not have this application.

It works, but there's limitations from what I've seen. Certain portal functions don't work well in general outside of internet explorer, and same goes for WAD objects. I haven't seen any acknowledgement of what does and doesn't work, but it's worth playing around with.
In our scenario, I can tell you that we can launch reports via an internal Google Site, pass credentials via single sign-on, and render web reports on the iphone. Drop down menus don't work properly, color condisitons don't show up (same in Firefox), but lots of things do function properly.

Apps for PS 6510 in the UK

Hello,
I've just got my new Photosmart 6510 and I've got virtually everything working.
However, it comes as a huge surprise that I see no Apps for 6510 in the UK on http://www.eprintcenter.com. I do see the printer as connected, as well as the last printed document, etc.
Is there really not a single App for 6510 in the UK, or am I doing something wrong? I assume the latter...

Hi,
I had the exact same problem! What forgot to do was enter the correct language and location (uk) in the settings at the printer. I then removed the printer from the eprint centre reset the web settings added the printed again in the eprint centre. ( enter the code that you print out and choose another email address for the printer ) only then could i see all the apps available! Brilliant.
This will fix your problem, any problems let me know and I will provide a step by step guide.
