Quicktime Pro export does not work

I am trying to export a streaming movie to a MP4 or other to play it on my Ipod touch. The particular movie is located on http://multimedia.slowfood.it/index.php?method=multimedia&action=zoom&id=37
I have experienced this with other movies too:
When saving it from my browser it saves 1 1KB link, which I can play in Quicktime pro.
However exporting it to MP4 results in a 4 MB file, which when played only shows the quicktime logo. Exporting it to one of the other formats does the same. I am new to this. Any ideas?

It's a streaming video. You can't save a streaming video. Streaming videos stay on the sever and aren't cached on your computer. Most videos that you see on the internet are progressive video's. A progressive video can be save to your computer.

You haven't identified the version so I can't tell if offering you contact options for Adobe Support will be of use to you. But they will likely be your only hope of getting resolution unless you just happen to be using the wrong number as the serial number.

QuickTime 7 Pro Key Does Not Work

Apple Store sent me a QT Pro "key" and link to on-line instructions. Nothing works. My System Preferences QuickTime dialog/panel does not have an OK button (or a Register button). It's a dead-end dialog. Email reply to my plea for help from Apple Support said I cannot use the QT 7 Pro key on a Mac with OS X 10.3.9 and QuickTime 7.0.3. Said to reinstall 7.0.1 (downgrading from 7.0.3), which I have done, to no avail. Next, I'm supposed to reinstall QuickTime 6.... MEANWHILE, on an Apple QuickTime Web page, it says that QuickTime 7 Pro REQUIRES QuickTime 7. The Apple Support email also suggested that I cannot use QT 7 Pro unless I have OS X Tiger. The email seems fat fetched, but the on-line info doesn't help either. What do I have to do to get QuickTime 7 Pro running? I've paid in full for the privilege. Thanks.

I appreciate your taking time to reply. Unfortunately, the circumstance you describe does not work on my system, and no one can tell me why or what to do to fix it. Before I went to the Apple online store to buy QuickTime Pro, I already had QT 7.0.3 on my Mac OS X, 10.3.9, system. I paid for QT 7 Pro and got the "key"/registration email from Apple. The email included a link to online installation instructions which do, in fact, tell me to click OK in the System Preferences QuickTime panel (though there is no OK button). I tried again, using your advice, and simply quit System Preferences. Still no QT Pro. When I do a find, Sherlock returns 71 items whose names contain "quicktime." Only one is an application, QuickTime Player v. 7.0.1, No QuickTime Pro. [FYI, though I had QT 7.0.3 on my Mac, the Apple support email told me to "reinstall" 7.0.1, which I did. They actually wanted me to reinstall/downgrade to QuickTime version 6, but I have not done that.] My reason for wanting QuickTime Pro to work is so I can convert AIFF audio files to MP3 audio files. Include in Export does not work in APEX 3.1

I have a report with many columns. On screen I only show several columns, but on export to CSV I want to include all columns.
However, when "Show on Report" is set to No, and I want to set "Include in Export" to Yes on the "Print Attributes" tab, it does not get updated.
It only gets updated when the "Show on Report" is set to Yes.
It also seems that the "Include in Export" on the "Report Attributes" tab is not in sync with the "Include in Export" on the "Print Attributes" tab the first time you access the "Print Attributes" tab.
Question: Does "Include in Export" only works for columns which has the "Show on Report" set to Yes? If Yes, how can I achieve the above mentioned?

After some investigations the following can be concluded:
On the Report Attributes tab, pick a column, and set "Show Column" to Yes, "Include in Export" to Yes, and no conditions.
I do not want this column to be printed, so on the Print Attributes tab, set the "Column Width" to 0.
When you run the report, you will notice that the column is not included in the export to CSV and not printed.
Setting the "Column Width" to a value greater than 0, the export to CSV works fine, but the column is also printed.

Thanks Patrick for your solution (:REQUEST LIKE 'FLOW_EXCEL_OUTPUT_%'), it works great. The column is now not show on screen but included in the export to CSV. However, you have to set the column width to a value greater than 0.
An enhancement request for 4.0 could be to also have a property "Include in Print", and that this property and "Include in Export" are not dependent on the "Show Column" value.

QuickTIme Pro Windows Key Not Working in OSX

Is this intentional and is there a way to get a key for both if you purchased or do you have to purchase twice?

For Qt 7 Pro key:
Sorry the Pro keys are not cross-platform. meaning you have to buy the Pro key for different OSs.
Except in OSX, the OSX Pro key in will work in either Panther, Tiger or Leopard. And the same with Windows different OSs.
A Window's key won't work in OSX and OSX won't work in Windows.

QuickTime 7.6 does not work

QT 7.5.5 would not even launch - 7.6 will launch but then crash at any attempt to open a QuickTime file. Some threads with people trying to help those with this same problem, recommend getting OS 10.5 - but I have to many authorizations to want to go through that.
Older versions of QuickTime still do work.
Anyone possibly have a simple solution?
Does Apple even read these threads, or are they just therapeutic?
I sent many reports (on crashes) to Apple on 7.5.5 - and now 7.6 still has the same problems.

I went to the Apple Store today at the Genius Bar and was told how to fix my Quicktime 7.6 problem. The head tech explained Quicktime is too deeply embedded in the OS to be able to repair and I would therefore need to back up my internal drive & do a clean install of my entire OS.
This kind of advice smells a lot like the bs type of advice I would get on how to fix my Windows machines from Microsoft.

In as much as we here are not the store the best thing to do is bring it back and have them give you a new one. You should be most certainly covered under warranty. (As long as your dog didn't eat it).

DM - "Export from Fact Table" works but "Export" does not work properly

I found it strange that Export cannot dump data to a flat file though I'm pretty sure my selection of dimension members contain data. The existing of data was further confirmed by running Export from Fact Table successfully, where I chose the same set of dimension members. Below are the log files.

I tried Export in another application and it worked properly. Maybe there is something wrong with the application but I don't know how I can fix this.

Hi Sorin,
In order to make sure the sum is not equal to 0, I ran the "Clear" package and full optimize the application. Afterwards, I deliberately sent only 1 record. I ran the "Export from Fact Table" and I have the following contents in my output flat file.

This confirms that the sum is not 0. Then, I ran "Export" package. Yet again, I encountered the same error.

Yoga tablet 2 pro microphone does not work with Skype or Google+ hangout

I have a new yoga tablet 2 pro, with most recent build and most recent version of skype for android.
When using skype or hangout, the other party cannot hear me (unless I speak directly into built-in microphone hole from a few inches away). The mike works fine with OK google, etc. Skype and hangout also work well with earphone and external mike combo.
I think there is a problem with apps accessing microphone gain....... is there a fix?

The Loupe Tool feature of Adobe Pro X does not work

When working properly the area within the blue box should be magnified. The magnification of the designated area should appear off to the side. This is not happening. The blue box is visible but no magnification.

Change language in Acrobat XI Pro - It does not work

I installed Acrobat XI Pro using the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) on Windows 7, English. I am on a Creative Cloud subscription, so i have no .exe file to install from.
Acrobat XI Pro defaults the Application Language to English when installing from AAM since Windows is an English version. I want Acrobat XI Pro in Swedish language.
If i go to Acrobat's Preferences > Language and change the Application Language from English to "Choose at application startup" i never get the dialog that should provide me with the option to change language when i re-launch Acrobat XI Pro. If i hold down Shift-Ctrl when launching Acrobat XI Pro i don't get that dialog either.
I see the same issue on three computers, two with Win 7 and one with Win 8. Both OS versions are English.
So, how do i change the Application Language from English to Swedish?

In case anyone else run into the same issue, here is the solution:
1. Add remove programs -> Select Acrobat
2. Then click on Change button present next to Uninstall option. Acrobat setup dialog will be launched.
3. Now select Modify option in Acrobat setup dialog
4. In the dropdown list select View Adobe PDF
5. Select the desired language support
6. Install the required language packs
When i did, i got the dialog that let me change the language next time i launched Acrobat XI.

It's working exactly as it's supposed to. If you save a PDF to a spreadsheet Acrobat expects the page to contain tabular data, as that is all Excel can work with. Your PDF has no tables, and a bunch of complex formulae and LTR typefaces which Excel simply doesn't support.

I have IE7 and QT Pro 7.5 running on XP SP3. When I try to open an mp3 from a website I get a blank browser window. I have made QT the default player for all files. I have downloaded DirectX 9 but still nothing. Any help would be great.
