QuickTime Pro Registration Key problems.

So I paid my upgrade fee for QTPro, received the key (20chars), popped the code in the registration pane in 'prefs...', but underneath it says "Invaid Registration".
I copy/pasted the key in there from the email I got back, so I know I haven't mistyped.
Any ideas anyone??

This may not work in later versions of iTunes that import both sound and video.
In version 2, which is what I use, I just have to go to the Advance menu and choose "Convert to AIFF" and then navigate to the movie file. iMovie should be able to import the AIFF format but you may have to first go to the iTunes preferences and set the Importing section to AIFF. Afer the import you should be able to use "Show Song File" to open the directory in which it has been placed. Put a copy in a convenient place for import into iMovie.

Apple are very lazy in giving instructions and it came with OS X v10.6 and OS X v10.5, nothing for OS X v10.7 or OS X v10.8? I've OS X v10.8.2...I'm baffled. I don't need a mind game. I just want a job done.
The instructions found at URL http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3678 are up-to-date since they refer to QT 7 v7.6.6 which is compatible with all versions of the Mac OS X v10.6.3 and later—including Lion and Mountain Lion.

Apple keep purchase information for up to 18 months, it is then deleted after this time.
If you did not keep the registration details from the purchase email, you will need to purchase it again.

Quicktime pro registration key fails to work

I tried to reinstall quicktime. I tried to ask apple support for a new key, or to find the defect in the key they gave me. After 48 hours I'm still waiting for a reply. The only thing I received until now was a confirmation of my order from my local applestore. The only thing that appears, after I type in my key, is "invalid registration", right beside the "buy quicktime pro" button. Does anyone know how I can adjust this?

I've copied and pasted the name and number from the original electronic purchase page (I NEVER got an email from Apple confirming purchase) and I still get invalid registration. I'm an 18 year Mac user, video editor, graphic artist, music producer, college prof in TV Prod and photography, with extensive experience troubleshooting Mac problems. but I'm dead in the water on this one. Any more suggestions? I don't have a Mac email account set up. I'm going through Comcast, and when I try to set up Mac email, the Preferences choice in the Mac Mail program is alwasy ghosted, so I can't get past step one there. Any suggests there? How to enter QuickTime Pro registration key in Windows 7?

I purchased a registration key for QuickTime Pro, but I'm not sure where to enter it on my Windows 7 machine. I have found these directions:

But that's for another version of Windows (XP? Vista?). Windows 7 Control Panel doesn't look like that, and I'm not sure where I can access the QuickTime 7 Control Panel to enter the registration key. Any advice?

It is possible to report issues like that directly to Apple. (The challenge with that, though, is first finding the feedback forms ...)

Quicktime PRO registration key, Mac vs. Windows

Hi all.
I have bought a Quicktime Pro license for my mac and it works fine... But I can't get it to work on my Windows version.
Does anyone know what the problem can be? Is the mac license not compatible with the windows license or what?

The Pro keys are not cross-platform compatible so you will need to purchase a PC Pro key to run Pro in Windows.

QUICKTIME PRO registration key totally fails to work (please help!!!!!!!!!)

I've been trying for days now, but reinstalling quicktime 7 hasn't worked, as well as asking apple support for a new registration key. the one i have now doesn' t make any error messages appear, it simply says "invalid registration", right beside the "buy quicktime pro button". if anybody knows how i could put this straight, please answer fast!

After entering the Pro registration did you notice the word Pro was now removed from the QuickTime Player menu items that previously used it?
What is it you're trying to do with Pro?

I migrated to Leopard, my MacBook did not like it, the Genius Bar came to the rescue, they wiped out my user and I have to re-install most of my applications.
All the Quicktime Pro features are now disabled, where might I be able to locate them in my PREVIOUS SYTEMS folders

I just downloaded Quicktime Pro 7 for Windows and received the registration code, followed the directions, copied and pasted the registration code and it seems to be invalid.
What's my next step?

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I just figured it out. It was something ridiculously simple which is what I thought and that was what was driving me nuts.
When I tried to register the product, I used my internet handle like I always do and since I have my real name hooked up to an Apple account through ITunes, it wasn't the registration code they didn't recognize, it was my name. It just popped into my head to try that.
Good thing too, because Quicktime Tech support has bankers hours and are not available on the weekends.

Quicktime Pro Reg Key Problem

I purchased an upgrade to Quicktime Pro and followed instructions on entering the reg #. While trying to open Quicktime Control Panel I get the following error mesage;
an exception occurred while trying to run C:\WINDOWS\system32.dll Control_RunDLL C:WINDOWS\system32\QTW32.cpl, Quicktime32
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Quicktime, same results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The code was bought in August 2011.
