Quicktime Video for my website like it's on Apple's website

How do I manage to get a Quicktime video on my website with the following features?
The video should play without the old grey Quicktime window frame!
The controlbar should disappear, when the cursor is not in the video window.
Just like the videos on the Apple's website, for example:

You have the accessibility VoiceOver feature turned on.
Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see the following for how to turn off via iTunes:

Maryrhire910 I am sorry that you are facing difficulty downloading and installing Photoshop Elements 12. Are you downloading the installation files from Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10? If so what specific error are you receiving?

Exporting Low resolution 320 X 240 videos for my website

I am mystified by Premiere Elements 11. I want to create a 2..5 min video (e.g. mp4) that is 320 X 240 with bitrate set low enough to keep the file size under 20megs. There is NO options in the pubish drop down to adjust the final dimensions of the video, the bitrate etc. All options regarding these are greyed out (I picked the mpeg format). I can't get a video in ANY format that conforms to the desired dimensions and size; I have no good options to adjust the quality of the video to make it good enough for the website and not gigantic. I have used Ctberlink PowerDirector 11 recently and those options are readily available in that application.
Most of my videos are going to be for the web. The way premiere elements 11 works now, it's going ot be useless for my purpose.
Am I missing some way to accomplish my objective, or is the program pretty limited in the ability to customize the outputted video?

As I show you in my books, it's easy to output custom videos for your web site. You say want an MP4?
Go to Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD. Select the the Preset for Vimeo SD.
Then click the Advanced button. On the Export Settings screen that opens, go to the Video tab. Set the output size to 320x240, then click OK.
You'll be prompted to save this as a "permanent" preset so you can use it again. Type in a name like "Web site video" and you're done.

I'm a public speaking coach in Sydeny Australia. I've started a blog and want to include videos to my newsletter subscribers. I do not want to use YouTube, because I want to only share these videos to people on my list.
What is the best way / program to create good videos for my customers? I think I might need to upload these videos to my server and only share the links...? Any suggestions welcome.

Get a Samsung S10 Video camera (under $400) and a Zoom H4n Professional audio recorder. Get Adobe Production Premium CS5. The camera shoots 1920 x 1080 square pixel in a better quality than a $6000 Panasonic P2 from 4 years ago. The downside, the audio from the Samsung is poor. That's why I recommend the Zoom H4n. On the Premiere timeline, you simply align the waveform of the video with the higher quality wave from the H4n. You can buy a medium sized fold up greenscreen and place any background behind your talent. CS5 has Ultra built in, so you can easily key out the green right on the Premiere timeline revealing a nice background of your choice.
I would design a web page based upon your current website's look and feel that will be a template for your videos. You export your finished video from the Premiere timeline as an f4v. I would recommend 16x9 widescreen and use the Flash preset of "Web Large Widescreen". You can also specify a "Fullscreen" button on the video's controller. The quality is so good that the video will look good even when your client watches it full screen. You import the video into Flash CS5 using the same document dimensions as your video size. You create a Flash template and "Publish" your Flash movie TO your template. Then all that is necessary is to upload all of the associated Web ready files to your server via FTP or Dreamweaver. This workflow streamlines the process and saves hours of fiddling around.
As far as the Web page goes that has your video, give the pages an HTML name like; vid0096hvc.html and use the Robots No Follow tag:
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">
This is the next best thing to having a client log-in and works in a setting where people aren't paying
to see the video, but you still don't want them plastered all over the internet.

You need three parts for the flv playback: the swf, the flv,
and the video player skin swf. If you create the flv from your
Flash movie by importing the original video, Flash should make all
of those parts for you. Upload each of these files to your server
and the file should play as expected.

Why Did a Quicktime Video For VLC Download Instead of Play?

From Firefox, after attempting to stream a Quicktime Video without QuickTime media player installed on my PC, I was offered the option to watch the video with VLC open source Media Player, which I do have installed on my PC.
I selected that, but the video didn't stream. It started downloading, without further warning.
Why would that happen in Firefox?

Files opened in an external application are never streamed and are downloaded to the temp folder before they are passed to the player.<br />
That only works if the stream is placed in a media file that has the link(s) to the stream. Then that file can be passed to the external player.<br />
Only media files that play embedded in a browser tab can be streamed.

Quicktime video for .mov files on Windows 8.1 not working

I am using the latest Quicktime (v7.7.5) on a new install of Windows 8.1 and .mov files will play but only the audio works - there is no video. Clearly There is a video codec missing. Can someone at apple tell me what I need so quicktime (and other applications) can play .mov videos on Windows 8.1?

Hey Kirk, thank you for your reply. All my windows media players (Windows, Quicktime, Pinnacle Sudio, etc..all only play the audio and not the video. The quicktime player on Windows recogizes a problem and suggests that I goto this website (www.apple.com/quicktime/rescources/components......) and download missing somftware (but gives no indication of what is missing :-)).
So the Windows Quicktime Player shows that the .mov file is made with the Apple Intermediate Codec, 1308 x 736, Millions 16 bit Integer (little Indidan), Sterdo(LR), 48kHz. I also looked at the inspector in the Mac.
This is clearly the issue. I suppose I can always use my Mac to convert files to something more compatible with windows and then move these files. I just find it hard to believe that Apple does not have a windows 8.x version of this codec.

Viewing quicktime video in my website

I created a website and inserted a QuickTime vide in it. I can view it on my PC, but when I go to my website on my i-pad, just a black square with and symbol shows up. Can anyone help me?

Quicktime X does not support additional codecs (like Flip4mac). You need to download Quicktime 7
QuickTime Player 7 for Mac OS X v10.6.3 or later
Flip4mac also has Flip Player, try that if Quicktime player 7 fails. Qt player 7 will be installed into /Applications/Utilities

Converting QuickTime Videos For iPod, iTunes Crashes on Windows

I was trying to convert some Quick Time movies (RvB Seasons 1-3) for my iPod, this is not my first time doing this but this is the first time I am having this problem. One day I open iTunes and try to convert these movies, like 10 seconds later the windows thing comes up and says “iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close” in the technical stuff it gave me it pointed to quicktimeessentials.qtx as the problem. So I searched for this file and deleted it Problem Solved! Or at least I though so when iTunes was able to convert my videos but now no Quick Time video will play right, so then I put the Quick Time file back where it was supposed to be, I can now watch my Quick Time movies but iTunes keeps crashing. Somebody Please Help!

just checking. is it currently crashing with that message when you try to launch itunes, or just when you try to convert those videos?
if it's just when you convert those videos, let's check to see if it's a problem with every file, or just the ones you have at the moment. will itunes crash if you try converting the sample file from this document?

Embed a Quicktime video in a website

Hi All
I just exported some videos using the "export to web" function on QT 7.6 for the Mac.
In the "read me" file, it gives instructions on how to copy and paste code into an html document so the video will preview and play embedded in the web page.
When the page is pointing to the files stored locally on my computer, it works perfectly. When i upload all the files to my server, it does not work. Even though it will show the preview, when i click to play I just get a big "?"
Do i need to change the directory in the html code? How do i make this work?

The defaults they're using may be from waaaay back before iTunes Back then there weren't any .mp4 or .m4v files for playing in QuickTime, there was just .mov (which is why you can see the main movie).
I'm searching to see if I can find what you need.
I think this is it.
It's a problem with the way the server hosting the files is configured. Ask your webmaster to add the following mime-types to the web server configuration:
audio/x-m4a m4a
audio/x-m4b m4b
video/x-m4v m4v
video/mp4 mp4
If you can't get them to do that I've also read that you can implement a workaround by creating a text file called .htaccess file with the following line in the folder that contains the .m4v:
AddType video/mp4 .m4v

My findings for Sony HD / AVCHD video - for moderate users like me

After extensive testing, downloading, and trial and error - i have determined the following for my Sony HDR-XR500 camera and PE8
First and foremost - Mini DV tape was much easier,quicker, reliable,and worked very well with PE.
Second - HD, as far as PE goes is in its infancy and should be avoided for the weekend warrior, like me. I don't want to be, or have to be, smarter than all the language, codecs and drivers it takes to make PE tick - i just want to organize my memories, make a video and share them.
Thirdly - my analysis .... drum roll please.
Importing through PMB:
- Sony does not give you much control over where to file. If you do not choose a subfolder as reccommended, the dates of the video may be imported wrong
- Sony will import the file as a .m2ts file
- When imported into Elements (organizer) the thumbnail "Will appear"
- Once edited with premier elements, the file will need to be "conformed and rendered before usable on the timeline (About 1 minute per GB on my quad core)
- I've noticed some files getting chopped off with sound - others are good (mystery?)
- files imported through PMB can not be batch renamed, it must be done in organizer
Importing through windoes folder (Explorer, copy and paste from camera)
- Files are transferred to the PC as .AVCHD files
- The thumbnail shows in Explorer or folder view
- When files are imported into the organizer, they are imported as .MTS files
- Files imported "Will not" have viewable thumbnails in Elements, but "will" have thumnails in Premier Elements (my personal favorite as far as bugs go)
- Same conforming and rendering on this side of the house too - as above.
i tried all the suggstions of the forum, download quick time, mts codecs, copy, etc..... but this is what it is.
So my suggestion, if you are confused like I am - don't buy a 1000 dollar HD camera until the program and operation become more user friendly and you see less posts like this. Life is short, I don't want to waste it on problems.

I went through this transition about 6 years ago. i was using Pinnacle for a long time, and it just kept getting worse and not listneing to the consumer, It was a big adjustment to go to Adobe - but it's proved worthwhile until this release. I think they forgot, or don't care, who their target audience is. Ppremier Pro is available for those hard core video editors. I want this program so simple to use my mother could use it. It pretty much has been that way until HD came in the picture. I don't think they anticipated it.
So for now, I may see what 9.0 brings and trial it, but I hate to carve up my library of 25,000 digital files between two programs.
I'm hoping for the best and preapring for the worst!

You would start by purchasing software that can create Flash Video (.flv).
