Quicktime will not show video in safari

hi since I loaded 10.5 I cannot see quicktime movies in Safari. I can here the sound. And I can save the movie to view it but it can not be seen in safari. thanks for any advice

TVNZ will not play video in safari

TVNZ On Demand says I need to load the latest Adobe Flash Player and will not play video in Safari.
The same applies for TV3 On Demand in Safari.
I definitely have the latest loaded - Plug-in version 11.9.900.117 is installed
The same problem does NOT occur within Mozilla Firefox.
It also does not happen on my older iMac - with OSX 10.2 installed.

I am in The Netherlands on holiday visiting my family who are here. Can someone help? I only got the sports package before I left Australia so I could keep track of Olympics while in NL. My wife who is in NL bought the origional iPad before I got here.

I just purchased a new Sony handycam so that I can make movies using iMovie. However, iMovie will not import the files from my camera and although the files show up on the drive as Quicktime MPEG files (with suffix MPG) neither Quicktime or iMovie will open the files. iMovie gives an error message saying "Quicktime couldn't parse it: -2048"
Can anyone help - I really want to open the files in iMovie so that I can make videos and I'm worried that my expensive new Handycam is a worthless purchase!

Your files are MPEG-2 and you need additional software to view them in QuickTime:

Logic Pro 9 Will Not Show Video

When I import a video to Logic, the video does not show up on the video track nor on the top left of the project. Although the movie tab shows up, there's no film. If I double click the video track, it asks me to look for the video (finding it again doesn't work). Now this only seems to happen with mp4 files. Mov files show up, but the screen is white and there's still no video (but there is sound). It also shows up on the video track, but the track is blank.
Note: I've never had any of these problems before, but I recently just did a clean install of Snow Leopard and did a transfer of apps and files from a Yosemite drive, which then the problem occurred. I've tried possible fixes like reinstalling Logic 9 and deleting the preferences file in /Library, but the problem still stands. Is there any possible fix to this problem I'm missing? Could it be a QuickTime problem maybe? I tried videos that worked before this problem but now they don't.

This is most likely the source of your problem.
Best bet would be to reinstall the OS from scratch, without transferring any Apps etc from the other drive

Avi h264 will not show video

Hi all, I am completely baffled at the moment. I am running 2 systems, both with adobe premiere elements 10 and full content packs. I have also installed k-lite codecs pack on both machine. One is a dell i5 lptop and the other is an i7 tower. I am editing the same set of videos, I have copied a set to my desktop and have another set on my laptop. The issue is this:
On the laptop I open premiere, get media and select the avi file I want to edit, the file appears and you can see the image of the video file. It is then OK to work from and edit.
On the desktop, I open premiere, get medi and select the avi file I want to edit, the file appears but this time there is no image just the audio sign. I try to put it intot he video timeline but it only imports the audio.
I have been stumped all night. Why will it work on one machine and not the desktop?
Please can someone help me with this?
The format is h264 mpeg-4 (part 10)

Windows Vista Boot camp will not show video card

Hello
Im running a macbook pro in windows vista 32 bit boot camp mode. Every thing works fine except that the device manager only shows the VGA adapter and not the Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT I have equiped. I cant find any drivers for this card. Is there any way to get Vista to use it properly?

My gmail will not show up in Safari.

I have Safari 5.05 and OS 10.6.7. My iMac is Intel Core 2 duo
When I sign into my gmail account, a blank screen displays in Safari.
I have Firefox on my iMac. No problem with gmail on Firefox.
Other Google products don't have a problem. e.g. My Google Documents show up just fine.
Any ideas?

Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, quit then relaunch Safari, try Gmail.
And back to Safari / Preferences - Security. Click the Show Cookies button. Delete all Google / Gmail related cookies. Quit then relaunch Safari.
Definitely empty the Safari cache, either from the menu bar, Safari / Empty Cache or Option + Command + E on your keyboard.

The controller in your example doesn't use the standard QuickTime controller and, instead, uses special javascript code to load its own controller.

I just got a new 32GbItouch, it has the 3.1.3 software on it. I am wondering if when i am watching a music video if it should start in portrait. Right now, the only way the video will play is in landscape.

When using the "Videos" app on your iPod, they will only play in landscape mode.
However, you can make a playlist of those videos in iTunes and sync to your iPod. Play them using the "playlists" selection in the iPod's Music app and they will rotate to either portrait or landscape mode.

I've been having this problem since the new Apple Tv update. I wish Apple would address the issue but I've found out the new update changed my audio settings within the AppleTV. Go to settings>>Audio & Video>> then scroll down to the Dolby Digital setting and if it says ON (on,Auto,off) then switch it to Auto.. and presto you have audio again.. Found this out myself when I was about to rewatch the League season 1.. For some reason I orginaly had it set to auto but the new update changed it to On. Really getting sick and tired of Apple lately.

Preview window in premiere 10 will not show view video images

My Premiere 10 preview window will not show video images. There has been some on-line discussion that nVidia GeForce video card automatic updates is the problem and it has been suggested that I roll back to a previous card however the rollback button does not light up and can not be activated. Also I'm not sure that I'm using the correct settings for the preview window, what are the default settings?
