Quicktime won't download on my computer

My iTunes has been working for years now and in the past two weeks I've been getting a notice that says that iTunes won't run. I've tried reinstalling it through iTunes.com but everytime I download it it gives me a messange that says it cannot run without Quicktime. I have come to the conclusion that Quicktime is not being downloaded when I get the software off the internet. What do I do?

I'm having the same prob. I keep bumpin my post, but no one has an answer.

All of a sudden my podcasts won't download from the computer to the ipod touch anymore.  It still downloads changes in music and apps, but it just seems to be podcasts.  Can anybody help me diagnose my problem?

If they are video podcasts, they now appear in the Video app after iOS 5.

If the setting is greyed out perhaps you have restrictions enabled that would prevent someone from changing accounts. Settings>General>Restrictions>Allow Changes>Accounts.

  • 10.5.2  software won't download to my computer  what do i do?

10.5.2 software won't download to my computer what do i do?

Do one ore more of the following:
    > Restart You Computer
    > Uninstall & Reinstall iTunes
    > Reset your Device (won't delete anything)
    > Go to My Computer (Windows XP) OR Computer (Windows Vista & 7) and see if your computer reconizes your iPod.
    You said:
the ipod and cord are new and undamaged.
Problems like that happens. If time to the new cable to read your iPod (don't ask why). If it charges from AC, it should work on your computer.

  • Itunes won't download on my computer

I have dial- up and windows 8 with XP service pack 3. I deleted iTunes and I am trying to download the current iTunes from the Apple website but it keep giving me an error that says 'Internet Explorer cannot download itunesSetup.exe from appldnld.apple.com. The connection with the server was reset."  Why is this happening? And how can I fix this so I can add iTunes back to my computer. It is a desktop computer so I can't just take it to the local library to add it from a wifi connection. Any help is appreciated.

  • Bit Torrent - won't download on specific computer

I'm suddenly having issues with bit torrents downloading on my desktop computer.  I have tried multiple programs (deluge, transmission, and my daily use qbittorrent).  I've also tried with a separate user account.  On the same network, my laptop will work just fine (both connected wirelessly), so think its something system-related.  I even tried setting a manual port and port-forwarding via the router.  No matter the tracker it won't connect and just stall out.  I've tried reinstalling (libktorrent libtorrent libtorrent-rasterbar transmission-qt qbittorrent), but nothing seems to affect it.  What am I missing here?

It's not going to be an issue with port forwarding.  Bittorrent will work even if no ports are forwarded, you'll just see less peers connected.
You say it can't even connect to the tracker?  That sounds like you have a deeper networking problem not specific to Bittorrent.  I would check your network configuration.  Check your DNS servers, IP address (Make sure no two computers on your network have the same IP address.  That creates a conflict and causes all kinds of nasty and sometimes unpredictable problems), default gateway, and any firewall/iptables configuration you may have.
Another possibility if other internet applications are working on that machine is that your problem only affects UDP (HTTP web traffic uses TCP.)  A lot of Bittorrent trackers are switching from TCP to UDP.  There's a quick way to test UDP connectivity.  First, install nmap (pacman -S nmap)  Then, as root, run
    nmap -p 60,80 -sU tracker.openbittorrent.com
    This is the expected result:
    Starting Nmap 6.46 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2014-07-10 04:56 CDT
Nmap scan report for tracker.openbittorrent.com (31.172.63.253)
    Host is up (0.21s latency).
Other addresses for tracker.openbittorrent.com (not scanned): 31.172.63.252
    PORT STATE SERVICE
    60/udp closed unknown
    80/udp open|filtered http
Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 5.74 seconds
Note the state of the ports.  The tracker is running on port 80 but since open UDP ports don't send a response back, nmap can't be sure if the port is truly open or if it's being filtered by a firewall.  That's why I also scanned the dummy port 60 so nmap would receive a closed response.  If nmap can differentiate between open and closed ports as demonstrated here, it means you're successfully sending and receiving UDP packets.  If it can't, you've got a deeper networking issue you need to solve.
Also, if you wish to test a TCP tracker, simply change the -sU to a -sS (and obviously change the ports and hostname since openbittorrent doesn't run a TCP tracker.)

  • ITunes won't download because my computer isn't "modified"?

Okay. So when I got my iPad and started syncing things, my iTunes just didn't work after that.
Being the stupid idiot I am, I ended up just deleting off my whole computer.
Now, I cant install it because of my system not being modified.
I did a system restore and uninstalled all the Apple things I had in my computer and still nothing works :c.
Is there anything else I can do?
( I run on Windows 7, and Im not sure if I got 32 or 64. I got this laptop back in December 2011 )

  • I rented a movie off my phone and it won't download on my computer. Help?

    HELLLPPPP.

If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

  • ITunes won't download to my computer

ITunes was working fine until I tried to update to the latest version. When I did, things went wrong. I tried to reinstall but it would not work. I then tried to delete ITunes and even did a System Restore. Still no luck. When I try to run ITunes, a message comes up that some of the required files are missing and to reinstall ITunes. When I try to reinstall, it gets al;most all the way through the install process and a message comes up that older version of "Bonjour" cannot be removed and to contact my Technical Support Group. When I click that message off, the install keeps going for a few more steps and then suddenly stops, throwing up a box that says ITunes Installer Interrupted ..... your system has not been modified..... try again later

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)
