My computer won't let me uninstall Quicktime, its saying the file is not found but it won't let me download a new version becuase its saying another version is on my computer. Please Help!

There are two different LR’s, one with a serial-number licensing and one with a CC-signin license.
You should uninstall the serial-number LR you have installed, then
Quit the CC Desktop application,
Restart the CC Desktop application—this will rescan what you have installed and not see LR,
LR will now be on the CC Desktiop apps list, so install that.

Just delete it from the Applications folder, and re-download it.
If it still says installed when you go to Purchased in App Store, click somewhere else, and option-click Purchased. That allows you to redownload already installed software.

Why won't my computer download the new version of itunes

I am trying to download the new version of itunes (10.5). It won't download,it just stays the same version i first got.

QuickTime Won't Install, Can't Find Newer Version OSX 10.4.11

When QuickTime 7.6 released, the update caused problems on my Mac PPC G5 (OSX Tiger 10.4.11). I deleted it. I attempted to reinstall an older version of QT that I knew functioned. This was over a year ago. It didn't work. As it was not urgent, I forgot about it.
Now, there is software I want to use that relies on QT being installed.
Running into the same problem with the installation. It's a Catch-22 situation.
*The QT 7.5.5 Installer won't install because "a newer version is already installed".*
*However, attempts to run ANY software or movie or whatnot that uses QT tells me the opposite, that QT is NOT installed.*
I have searched the computer's furthest corners trying to dig out components and packages and it STILL insists QT is installed. I've searched on every possible variation of QuickTime, Quicktime, quicktime, qt, you name it. NOTHING.
What am I missing? How do I get this to work? I've no intention of upgrading to Leopard just yet.

As far as I know, the installing software still checks the "Library > Receipts" folder to read a history of which package updates have been installed rather than searching to see if the actual app is installed. Have you deleted the receipt ".pkg" files equal to or newer than the one you currently wish to install. However, remember this approach assumes that any "patches" applied in the ordinary upgrade process will not create a conflict within the embedded QT structure when reinstalling an older version--which may or may not be true here. (I.e., QT is no longer an independent application or software package but rather an integrated part of the operating system.) The safest approach is to re-install an older version of the entire OS and upgrade the system as it was meant to be updated to the level at which you wish to operate.

Does anyone know why iBooks won't let me download a new purchase?

I am frustrated for some reason I cannot download from iBooks. I have over 20 books and for some reason it will not let me purchase a new book. I downloaded a sample but cannot get the entire book. Has anyone had this problem?

I cannot uninstall Firefox and it won't let me install a new version.

Firefox will no longer open up so I can use it to browse. I tried downloading it to reinstall but it tells me I have to close Firefox as it is running. How do I do that? I've always used Firefox as my browser and now, it will not open so I've had to switch to Chrome or IE. I would like to have my Firefox back. How do I fix this? If I try to install a new version it repeats the 'close Firefox as it is running'. But yet, I am not using it as it will not open.

I found out I have the same problem. Everything but New, Choose New Theme and open are available. However, when I click new or choose nothing happens. I've reinstalled twice but I can't find any answers.

Itunes won't let me download the latest version of itunes to my pc

I have been trying to download the latest version of iTunes from the Apple website to my PC. When I click on the Download icon, it goes to the page saying thank you for downloading iTunes, but it hasn't download anything. I've tried downloading in Internet Explorer and in Google Chrome and get the same thing. I've rebooted my PC and tried again using either browser and get the same result. My PC O/S is Windows 8.1 64 bit. I have no idea why this happening or how to fix. Any advice or suggestions? Thanks.

Perhaps try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to a different PC. (If you're on a 32-bit Windows system, try to download on a different 32-bit Windows system.) Copy the iTunesSetup.exe installer to an external hard-drive, or a large-enough thumb drive or burn it to a CD-R. Carry the installer back to your PC, copy the installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install from the ExHD, thumb or CD-R.) Start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file.

2 iPhones, 2 Apple IDs, 2 iTune accounts. With all this how do we sit up two iClould accounts? Web site won't let me download a 2nd version of iCloud to create a second account.

When I go in to download another version of iCloud, it acts like I need a repair and will not allow me to download a second version. Can this be done? We have two windows accounts and it worked fine that way, when you log into the other account and go to the iCloud control panel, log in with the second apple ID there. Then you have two separate photo stream folders.

QuickTime X for Snow Leopard can only record the entire display.
Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks and Yosemite each have a newer version of QuickTime X and the most current version is 10.4.

Removed Muse CC accidently, Cloud won't let me download it again

Well, slip of the finger and I uninstalled Muse CC instead of the program I intended to that was just below it. Within the Cloud thing, it won't let me download it again so I can reinstall it. Need help from Adobe, but as usual, their chat thing is off for the night. Any suggestions?

My Ipod Touch won't let me download apps or log in

I just got it and it won't let me download apps. I even made another ID. It keeps saying "Password or Apple ID is incorrect" or it will say "cannot connect to ITunes" and if it doesn't say either one of these it says "An Unknown Error occured" I restored it twice. Changed my password like 5 times (I know I'm entering it right). My iTunes is up to date. and it's iPod Touch 4g. Any help??
