Quicktime would not start/uninstall

after have this problem for a couple of days i have managed to resolve the problem MANY THNAKS TO B.NOIR!!!
i am now scared to reinstall ace mega codecs pack after it seem to be the cause!
should i try ace again ive always be happy with it until this ******** problem with Q/Time or can someone recommend another codec pack?

okay ... if you're going to install a Codec pack, try getting one without QT Alternative bundled in it, or one that contains at least QT alternative version 1.81 (which contains the QT 7.1.6 componentry).
with K-Lite codec packs, they recommend uninstalling QuickTime prior to installing anything containing a version of QuickTime alternative.
if a new iTunes version comes out while you have a QT alternative installed, uninstall QT alternative prior to attempting the itunes upgrade (or it's possible that you might end up getting the same sorts of install problems again).

I can't change my profile, as suggested in FAQs because I've completely uninstalled Firefox 11, using an uninstalling software which remove all the settings etc. I have tried installing 12 and the installer will not run at all, neither will the ones for 11 or 10, and I am far from happy having to use IE 9 or Chrome. As a general question, have you restarted Windows since you did the uninstall? That sometimes is necessary to complete the clean-up of files the uninstaller could not shut down.
When you run the installer for Firefox 12, do you get an error, or does it just never get to the UI (dialog to make choices for the installation), or does it show the UI but never finishes the installation?

ITunes/Quicktime will not start.

iTunes/Quicktime will not start. Nor will anything quicktime dependant start. (Like Adobe Go Live) I recently reformated one of my Windows PCs and reinstalled m$ windows xp pro. I begain installing nessacary software and when I was done with iTunes/Quicktime (Why the heck is it now bundled?) it would not start. Could it be a codec conflict problem? I also tried reinstalling iTunes/Quciktime and nothing changed...
Any comments would be appreciated.

here's what we'll try first with that one.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. then use it to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC:

After deploying Custom Component BO Analysis Adaptive Server would not Start

Hello all,
I just developed my custom component in Design Studio with SDK and uploaded this component to BI Enterprise 4.1 SP2 Patch 3 server . After that, I tried to restart the Adaptive Processing Server which includes Analysis Service. However, the server would not start and it fails. If I uninstall the component and restart the server, it starts and works smoothly.
I have installed the same components to other BI servers without having any problems.
Do you guys have any idea what could be causing this?

Check if this line is added to the command line of the server holding the DS Server.

- After charging for 1/2 hour or so, does iTunes see the iPod? If yes, restore the iPod from backup.

If the system partition was erased, recovery of any files previously stored on it as identifiable entities is unlikely.
Keeping an external CarbonCopyClone of the startup disk (free download) gets you a bootable clone (with all applications installed) so you have a chance of cloning back onto the internal disk if you ever need to reformat the partition again.

Updated to 4.01 and it would not start, removed and loaded 3.6 with no problems ??? running XP SP2

No, there are no issues running FF4x on Windows XP. I have that OS installed myself.

Now that you mentioned it, that might be the source of the problem. Something was definitely wrong with my graphics card before the incident happened. You mean that particular batch of graphics cards had some inherent issues, right? I went to the genius bar, and the 'genius' there, without trying to diagnose the problem properly, just adviced me to buy a new mbp! try gettign an offline application of the Framework then change your user access control (Windows) to allow you to make changes to Windows programs. install the Framework and then install your Destktop Software. FYI, please first create a restore image before you start the whole process

I recently decided to download a copy of the solaris patch, started the installation and then went home, next morning, I saw that the server would not boot up again.
One thing I must say is that I think i played around with the mount point and partitions as I wanted to get a big chunk of drive space free for the Oracle database which I was looking to install. Now after rebooting, this is that happens.
