Some of my videos, just music videos convert to ipod ready format fine. But I tryed a movie and it says I need to download more software...it lists 11 different options of what I need to download. Anyone know which one I should pick or how I could get this movie to convert without the software...Am I missing something? Give me all your knowledge about converting mainly divx movies to ipod ready format.

Try resetting an item in View Options for the Desktop. To do that, first make the Desktop active - click a bare patch of it. Then select Show View Options from the View menu.
In the View Options window, checkmark the item "Show icon preview". Then close the View Options window and test.
You should also be able to invoke Quick Look by selecting a file's icon, then pressing the Spacebar (or press Command-Y).

Purchased TV and Movie artwork not showing in iTunes 10.6.1 when stored on a NAS drive

Having searched through the forums here and using Google to cast a wider net.
I am still struggling to see if there is a solution to the missing artwork of TV programmes or films missing when stored on a NAS drive. All the TV programmes and movies have been purchased through the iTunes store.
The version of iTunes being used is the most recent (10.6.1).
The network drive is hardwired linked to the AirPort Extreme Base Station, this base station is also hardwire linked to the iMac. The iTunes library resides upon a DROBO FS and has done since it filled the storage capabilities of the iMac.
TV and Films purchased before the migration of the library has the artwork, it is just films and programmes purchased since the migration that don't.
Clicking "Get Album Artwork" has no effect, the same is also true for manually adding the artwork to each episode through the "Get Info" "Artwork" option. Although the "Get Info" route teases you with an apparent result only to have the artwork "vanish" when you save.
I have seen a solution that involves remapping the iTunes library to the iMac each time you want to download a TV programme or film and then remounting the NAS drive and consolidating the library again, http://www.online-tech-tips.com/mac-os-x/fix-missing-album-art-when-using-a-nas- with-itunes/
This doesn't strike me as much of a solution and doesn't address the TV programmes and films that have already been downloaded.
I am hoping someone in the community is aware of a solution or at least method that is a little more elegant than the one linked to above.

The Apple TV 1 doesn't use homesharing.
Navigate to Settings > Computers > Your Library on the Apple TV, you may be told you will lose all synced content, but you can sync it back afterwards, you won't lose any purchased content that has yet to be transferred. Then select Settings > Computers > Connect To iTunes, note the passcode that appears on screen, click on the device in iTunes and enter the passcode when prompted.

The easiest and most efficient way to copy your music is to follow the steps under the External drive section. Make sure that you have organized the iTunes library first before you copy it over. Then put the copied iTunes folder in the same Music folder on your computer.

Title Bar stuck under the Menu bar and I cannot select and move it.

I often arrange windows around the desktop and sometimes I inadvertently push a window up too far and the title bar gets under the menu bar. Once I let go of the arrow, the title bar is too far under the menu bar and I can no longer reach it to move it down. The only solution is to close out the program and start over. Is there a way unbeknownst to me to select the title bar again and move it?

My E*Trade streaming watch list was stuck under the Menu Bar also. I tried reseting the screen resolution down to 1280 x 1024, and restarting the MarketTrader. There on the display was the stuck window, out from under. I resized and moved it to a central location, and resized the display back to my normal 1920 setting. And to my relief, the window Bar! Well I figured it out, right click the arrow that makes the screen bigger and unclick the Hide Toolbar. I knew it couldn't be that hard.

The problem resolved itself when I resynced the iPod with my computer. I suspect the error displayed when I tried syncing with my laptop and canceled out of it.

(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.

My ipod won't sync and it keeps coming up with an error message saying "internal error" or it tries to get me to restore from a backup. All of my music and movies have been wiped from my ipod and the apps don't work. The backups don't work either. help.

I plugged my ipod touch into my computer to sync it and it came up with an error message saying that it encoutered an internal error and it refused to sync.
I then unplugged it and plugged it back in and this time it told me that I needed to restore from a backup or set it up as a new ipod. I tried to restore from a backup but it came up with the error message "Backup session failed" every time. I then looked on my ipod and all of my music and movies are gone though it still says that they are on the ipod in itunes. I decided to use the restore function and let that finish. After restoring it still doesn't allow me to sync or back up and The music and movies can still not be seen. I am currently attempting to copy the music and movies to my ipod though this did not work with my apps as they transfered but when I attempted to open them they just crash... If someone could please help me it would be great. It is driving me crazy.

If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can find the location of the backup file here:

Trying to burn cd and itunes includes ebooks and movie to burn to cd - I just want the 18 music items on my playlist - Help???

I am trying to burn a music cd from a newly made playlist (18 music pieces in the playlist) When iTunes is compilling the list, I can see that it is including my ebooks and movies to burn to the cd and this action is confirmed when itunes says that there is not enough space on cd
I have tried the process with older playlist and get the same reseult (it was so much easier and there were no problem before - when there was a burn to cd button)

I need to know how to delete downloaded videos and movies from iTunes when the instructions on the support page does not work. I have swiped the selections from left to right on the phone and nothing happens.

I need help deleting videos, tv shows, and movies downloaded from itunes. I have followed the instructions to delete from the macbook, I selected the videos I wanted to delete and right clicked to delete. Nothing happens. When I double click on the video it still starts playing. I also followed the instructions to delete the videos from the iphone by swiping from left to right with nothing happening. I opened the videos on the ipad and there is no edit selection like in the instructions on the support page. Can you please tell me how to permanently remove this content so it doesn't try to copy from each device when I want to back up the Iphone and Ipad to my macbook. Thank you.

Pages zoom and move around when I attempt to write on them

New to iPad. Primary use for which I purchased it was to read and annote pdfs. I've purchased PF Expert, and am extremely pleased with it so far---not only the app, but the support provided by the developers.
My issue may just be due to my lack of experience with the iPad. It is that when I attempt to highlight a document in PDF Expert using a stylus, the page zooms in and out and moves around. This makes highlighting pretty inconvenient. I would like pages to remain fixed, the way a piece of paper would while I'm writing on it. I have wrist protection turned on in PDF Expert.
Is there something I'm missing regarding technique? Or is there something I can set somewhere that will prevent this form happening.

I downlaoded Firefox 4 and now it won't let me open up on another screen..I have 2 screens side by side!!I used open up mulitable browsers and move them from screen to screen!Now i cant..Only opens to screen 1!!

Before i downloaded Firefox 4, i could open up mulitable screens and move them from screen to screen..I have one computer with 2 screens side by side..Say i open up your browser and then open up another browser session,I could then move that browser session to the other screen,,Great for researching and looking at different websites side by side!!Now i cant even shrink it and move that browser to the other side(other screen)..Before i could!!!

A brief and probably non-helpful answer: I know of no way to eliminate your large amount of duplicates other than by repetitive, tedious manual effort.
*There has got to be a simpler way.*
