Quiz default labels

I have created quiz default labels in the Project Info area but these default labels do not take affect in the slides. How do I make this happen?

Oh I see! You use File, Project Info to open the Preferences (because Quiz Preferences is part of the Preferences). Project Info is a very small part of it and has its own panel. Find it confusing that File, Project Info doesn't open the Project Info dialog box, but the Preferences with label 'Project Info' selected.
I never use this way, but use Shift-F8 (Edit, Preferences) to open the Preferences dialog box.
And to have directly the Quiz Preferences part, I use Quiz, Quiz Preferences

  • Quiz default labels in English

    Hello,
Could you please send me the whole default labels in English ? I have Captivate 7 in another language and should translate it in English.
I mean the 6 messages and the 6 buttons.
Or just send a shotscreen with the default labels under Captivate Quiz>default labels, I would then copy the standards.
I could translate it but would prefer the original, just to get sure it sounds "native language" and not translated.
    Thanks !

    Hello Lilybiri,
Thank you for your answer. I found the rdl files, but it seems that this is not the text I am searching for.
    I have Captivate 7.
With a shotscreen it will be clearer, I mean these messages :
I heard that if you buy the Captivate licence in any other language than english, you only get the messages in this language, which is surprising ?

  • Reset Quiz Default Labels?

I'm building a simple (no lms, no tracking) quiz using
multiple question forms. From the Preferences | Quiz | Default
Labels form, I am trying to change the language in the labels, but
my changes don't "stick." If I appologize deeply for getting the
labels wrong the first time, can I please learn how to change them?
Thanks for any help you can give!

    Hi there PJ
The default labels are something that is used when you
initially create the question. After you have created the question,
you need to edit the area of interest individually. So you will
need to look at each question you have already created,
double-click the area of interest and change it there.
Unfortunately changing the Default Labels has no effect on
questions that have already been created.
For future questions and quizzes, it's best to set the
Default Labels before you even begin creating questions, as it
saves you time over the long haul. But then, I'm guessing you have
    already realized that.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Changing Quiz "Default Labels" for Incorrect Message for Captivate 5.5

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to change the "default labels" for incorrect message for my existing Quiz slides. However, it does not get reflected. Is there a way I can change, e.g., the default label for incorrect message from "...press Y to continue" to "xyz" for my existing quiz slide and get that reflected.
    Regards,
    Roshni

You can change these default labels at Quiz settings > Default Labels > Correct Message and Incorrect Message fields.
However, you need to be aware that changing these label defaults will have no effect whatsoever on the Success and Failure captions that are already present in your project.  Only new captions added AFTER the change will display the new text.

  • Y Axis label color inherits Pen color and not the default Label color.

    Hi,
How do I enforce my Y Axis Label to taken the default color specified in the iChart Y-Axis Label Color property instead of picking it from the Pen color selected from the legend? I have a Y-Axis Label called "Total Stock", I can very well change the Label text using method
    document.TestChart.getChartObject().setYAxisLabel("Label from code");
But when I use a similar
    document.TestChart.getChartObject().setYAxisLabelColor(Color);
property, I dont see the color change on the screen. But when I get the color using a getYAxisLabelColor() method , the specified input Color is set. My Label in the Y-Axis, always inherits the Pen color of the selected Legend Item, by default the first Item color on Page Load.
    Settings done in the iChart:
Use Selected Pen for label : Unchecked
    Y Axis Label Color: #000000
Y Axis Label : Total Stock
    Show Y Axis Label: Checked.
    I appreciate your help,
    Ajitha

    Jeremy,
I tried the method you mentioned...
    document.TestChart.getChartObject().setYAxisLabelColor(document.TestChart.createColor("#000000"));
But I still dont see a change in the Label color.
Another finding is, when I try to alert the Label color on load of the page or during the creation of the applet, I see the label color on the alert is not the pen1color but the default Label color that is set in the display template. I assume that the legend's default selection, overwrites the Label color with the first pen color, but I could not get it with the getYAxisLabelColor() method, even though I see it on the screen.
    Thanks!

  • Term Store Management: Change Default Label

I have merged two entries together (for the sake of this discussion, lets call them 'cat' and 'feline'). The Default label is currently 'Cat' and 'Feline' has been added to the Other Labels as part of the merge process.
I actually want the default label to be 'Feline' but I cannot change it in the term store manager. I have tried adding 'Cat' into Other Labels (in case Default Label can only show one of the existing labels) but that too fails.
The message I get is 'This operation cannot be completed. The terms store may be unavailable.' But I am able to add other entries to the Other Labels list (e.g. 'Lion') without any problems.
How can I change the Default Label and also add the existing Default Label to the Other Labels list?

OK, went back and tried again today and was able to get it to work first time.
I changed the Default Label from 'Cat' to 'Feline' and changed the Other Label entry 'Feline' to 'Cat' in a
    single step and then saved.
I believe I tried this before (in addition to various permutations of attempting this in multiple steps) so either I am mistaken and was doing it wrong before, or the initial merging of terms takes time to fully implement (during which some changes are restricted),
or SP2010 is just a bit flakey. Having spend a few weeks on SP2010 now my money is on the latter option...

    Hi AliArj,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
For Windows: Navigate to C:/Documents/Adobe/PremierePro and rename the 5.5 folder to 5.5.old
For Mac: Navigate to Documents folder then Adobe and rename 5.5 to 5.5.old
Launch Premiere pro again and check.
By renaming the file you will not see any recent projects while launching Premiere pro so make sure you know the location of your projects.
Before renaming also check whether your default destination is not that folder.
    Thanks

  • Customizing default labels

I am working with JHs 11.1.1.3 and I would like to customize default labels for, for example, panelCollection buttons such as Freeze and Detach when I generate my application. How should I do that?

Those are standard ADF Faces labels, you need to create a custom skin to change the labels.
Please ask on the JDeveloper forum for more info as this is not related to Jheadstart.

  • Labelling wires can be made easy ..!! Take the control Name as default - Label Name for wire

Wire : Right Click --> Visbile --> Label  (Its void Now )
Solution : It can take the control Name as default label of the wire,  instead of  being Void
Not sure if this idea is already proposed.

Ya true, in the above case it should take the indicator Label
It's just as easy to construct a case where there are multiple sinks to the wire and then you can't just say "take the indicator label". My point was that I don't want NI spending time on figuring that out and writing that code.
As for your second example, now there's suddenly even more magic in there - The wire labels somehow gained the brackets and the wires which have an uninitialized shift register as a source somehow know that they should take the labels from other wires in the loop.
If you think the logic for this is simple, you can try writing a Quick Drop shortcut which will do this - for all selected elements which are wires, go find their ultimate source and take its label and apply it to the wire. I think if you try that you'll appreciate why I don't want NI to spend time on this. You might also find that the tool you wrote works well enough for you and you can use it right now without having to wait for NI.

  • Setting Default Label Position

    Hi all
When I create a Boolean (or anything else), LV defaults to putting the label above the control and left justified. I like to change that so that the default location for a label is just to the right and top justified.
Anyone know how to do this?

    > Sorry, but don't believe you can--though that would be nice.

I've heard this advice about the justification before, but many times it
doesn't seem necessary. If the label is totally above or below the
control, then the justification will determine which edge of the label
moves while the top or bottom is maintained. As long as autosizing is
turned on and the label projected horizontally intersects with the frame
of the control, the justification doesn't matter since the right or left
edge, whichever is next to the control will be maintained.
    As for th
e orginal question, this is something you can change with
custom controls or typedefs, but the built-in control label position
    cannot be controlled.

  • Retain Default Label Position

If the Label Position is changed from default position there should be the option to retain the position, because finding the label in a very huge block diagram code is difficult as label is the only identification for the item

Quick Drop already does this!  Open QD with CRTL+SPACE and then use CRTL+T.

  • Default Label Position

    Hello!
When we create a new form using Region or Page wizards we get a form with default placement of label for field in the separate cell. Then we can change it to ABOVE manually...
Is it possible to change this default placement of label to eliminate additional manual work later (for big forms it's little bit annoying)
    Thanks....

No, this is not possible, it would be a nice feature.

  • TX: JDS3 create default labelled workspaces

I'm working with Solaris 10 with Trusted Extensions. Users will be using Java Desktop System 3 (JDS3). I'd like to be able to control what workspaces users can see and what security labels they can change. I can control the names and number of workspaces using gconftool-2, but I can't use gconftool-2 to assign a security label to a workspace?
    1. Is there a way to script the creation of labelled workspaces?
    2. Is there a way to prevent users from changing the labels of workspaces?

  • I cannot find how to change the language for labels in a quiz

I cannot find how to change the language for labels in a quiz

You have to be aware that this will only change labels if you edit before adding quiz slides: Preferences, Quiz, Default Labels. You will have to edit the labels, choosing another language will not change them automatically.

  • Quiz questions custom labels not appearing

Hi, I figured out how to change the custom pop-up labels after the user submits an answer on a quiz (yay!) but they
're not showing up. Any clue as to why? Here we have the way the questions look on screen and in the actual video:
but my actual responses SHOULD be what I have in the default labels screen:
Any reason why they're not? Also, I changed the bubbles' colors too, and that didn't take either. Thank you!

    Hello,
Did you change the captions and the caption style after creation of the quiz slides? Try to create a new question slide, the text in the captions will be OK.
As for the Caption style: what and how did you change? Did you change the default Success/Failure/Hint caption styles with the Object Style Manager? Here it could be easier to change all styles of existing captions: change one on a question slide, a + sign will appear before the style (see screenshot, this one is for a simple Text Caption but idea is same for Quizzing captions). Use the third icon to apply this change to all captions of same style, and if you want to add more question slides, save this as default style with the second icon (yellow highlighted).
