Quiz doesn't finish

I'm using Captivate 3, publishing to SCORM 1.2 for use on
SumTotal TotalLMS. Everything works fine except the quiz. I get a
pop up box stating "You have completed the activity. Click OK to
close the player" as soon as I have answered enough questions
correctly to achieve a passing score. Example: two question quiz
with passing set at 50%, if I answer the first question correctly
the box pops up before I even get to see the second question. I
want the students to take all the questions, but don't want to set
passing at 100%.
This has got to be something simple - but darned if I can
find it! Thanks for any help you can provide.

Ok, having re-read your problem I see that what it is doing
is getting to the pass mark, which you have specified in your
mastery score and then displaying the window. This is how it works
on SumTotal, however I have a work around which I use when
deploying quizzes...
What it is doing is only reporting up to what you have set as
the Mastery Score in your SCORM settings.
Set the mastery score to 0%, and de-select it, and in the
quiz settings set these to 0% to pass.
Set the quiz settings to continue wether they pass or fail,
and de-activate the pass or fail messages within captivate quiz
settings.
When you now come to publish the project to the SumTotal LMS,
in the ADVANCED section within SumTotal, select the "Requires
completion" box and enter the percentage you wish to set as the
pass rate ie 80 or 90 or even 100. This will then accurately record
a project right through and correctly record the % completion.
If the learner reaches the percentage you specified the
course will be shown in their training schedule/transcript as
passed with the option to print a certificate, if they fail to
reach the score you set it will be shown as failed with no
certificate option.
Also the window shouldnt pop up until they have finished the
whole quiz. (You still need to have done the changes to Scorm
template though as previusly advised, as this is imperative to
getting projects to work correctly with SumTotal)

ITunes 10.5 sync doesn't finish iPhone 4S 5.0.1

When syncing my iPhone 4S 16GB 5.0.1 with itunes 10.5 using a Macbook Pro 10.7.2 it freezes at the last step 7 of 7. I had the same problem with iOs 5.0 and the update didn't change a thing. iTunes is still accesible, but it doesn't finish the sync. All I can do is deconnect the iPhone in the Devices of iTunes, but it give a warning that it is still syncing. When I check the iPhone and iTunes, everything seems to be ok and purchases and apps are either downloaded on the iPhone or iTunes.On the iPhone there is still the little wheel turning to indicate the sync and in iTunes there is the same little wheel next to the iPhone in Devices. Any idea anybody??

I'm experiencing this problem for the first time - frustratingly, while upgrading to a "new" (hand-me-down) 32GB 4G - on OSX 10.6.8. This phone has the iOS 5.0.1 update installed, I'm trying to restore my old phone's data from backup. All the data appears to be there up to mid-October (from looking at text messages), but the sync wasn't finishing. I hit "cancel," and now the cancel isn't finishing. I'm gonna leave it overnight, but I'm not expecting it to finish.

Battery doesn't finish

i reported a problem earlier in a previous post about my defective battery, as i said, it used to drain by itself after shutting down, and it only lasts maybe 45mins max.
Well, the problem now is the battery doesn't seem to finish, i've been using it for days now, and it stays 100%. Nothing much happened since my previous problem, except, i dropped the laptop once when it was in its protective bag, and the case got dented a little bit in the corner, the other thing is i travelled to a very cold country.
I am not upset that the battery doesn't finish, but why doesn't everything have to be weird, it either drains, or doesn't finish, can we like find a medium?

Go to an Apple Store and ask to have your battery tested.

Hp5530 doesn't finish print job

I have two computers, a win7 laptop and a win8.1 desktop. My 5530 is set up as a wifi printer and is next to my Linksys wireless router. Both printers wil print to the printer but often the print job doesn't finish - stopping in the middle of a page. The problem seems to be evolving in that for a few months the problem only showed up when printing from the win 8.1 computer. Now it happens with both computers, more and more often. I've reinstalled the drivers on both computers with no change in outcome. Please help.

Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having some issues with the Wireless connection.
I do have a few suggestions that we can try in the attempt to resolve this issue.
First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
I also suggest that you have the router more than 4' from the printer and less than 20'. This will be the range that you need to have the printer from the router to ensure a solid connection. If the Printer less than 4' from the router and will not be detected.
I have another suggestion. Try the HP Print and Scan Doctor on both computers. Let me know if you see any error codes or messages.

Lion Disk Utility doesn't finish erase

Since installing Lion (clean install) disk utility doesn’t finish erasing or partitioning external disks. I used the disk utility from the install drive to erase the internal drive before installing Lion, this worked fine, but ever since it failed to erase any of my external drives. It starts of as normal but the progress bar stops half way and just never finish. Disk Utility does respond.
I tried different format options, repair and verify but none of the processes finish.
I went back to the install drive that I used to erase the internal drive before Lion install and it also didn’t want to finish.
I copied the old disk utility from Snow Leopard to my desktop, it opens with a warning, but gives the same outcome.
Any advice?

I'm having the same problem on my late 2010 Air with Lion installed over Snow Leopard.
I've tried several usb memory drives and several external harddrives...all the same problem with the progress bar getting stuck halfway. wether I select 'partition' or 'erase'.
the 'genius' at the mac store told me that he advises a clean install of Lion. I did...or I thought I did but all my files were still in place and the problem was still there. Guess I will have to wipe the drive first.
Also, unable to repair permissions on the MAC drive.
But it is remarkable how few people seem to experience this problem thus far. A google search hardly returns any results.

Compressor doesn't finish

I export a QT reference file like usual and then have Compressor convert it to whatever (FLV, Mp4, etc) and now it gets pretty much all the way done and just hangs there. It has been like this for about a month now.
The QT reference plays fine so no problem there.
It almost finishes and then doesn't advance and anymore and I cannot stop it. I have reset the background processes and that fixes the problem of canceling but no matter what format I try to convert to in Compressor it doesn't finish.
I can export directly from Final Cut Pro without a problem. The thing is I want to use Compressor...anyone know why this is?

Does clearing the associated QMaster cache help at all? To get there, type /var/spool/QMaster once you go to Go > Go to Folder in the Finder.
Or does this happen for only one particular QT reference movie? If that's the case, then Compressor/QMaster might simply not be fond the the referenced render or media files (what can I say, it's a cranky problem with poor social skills.) Sometimes, re-rendering the troublesome section(s) - or exporting self-contained - fixes those issues.

Photocast doesn't finish uploading

I have a photocast that is a smart album. The first time I publish it, everything goes well. When I try to update the album, it goes through everything until the progress circle is almost finished, and then it doesn't finish.
I've looked to see if it is still uploading anything, but there is no upload activity on my computer at that point. My current solution is to unpublish and republish the photocast each time, but I'd rather find a better solution.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is it because it is a smart album?

That memory should suffice indeed.
If you are lucky, the print products store can still print your original book from the copy on their server. they keep the uploaded file for reference for a month or so.
You have screened all pages of the book, if there are no photos missing? And you have reentered your billing information, not just checked it?

Check, if you accidentally have turned on restrictions in the settings:
Settings>General>Restrictions
Check the region settings for the iPad, if the country is set to the country of the delivery address for the book.
Trouble shoot the iPad:
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider.

Mkinitcpio command doesn't finish

Just did a pacman there and the /sbin/mkinitcpio -k 2.6.23-ARCH -c /etc/mkinitcpio.conf -g /boot/kernel26.img command
doesn't finish: it takes forever to do the :: Parsing hook [autodetect] part. So I killed pacman and re-did pacman -Syu.
It finished this time. And I tried the command again on its own - the problem is still there.
anybody else seen this? I'm afaid to do a reboot now.....

My upgrade to mkinitcpio 0.5.17-1 completed without a hitch. Now the system hangs when I reboot. Booting the fallback image works ok.
I suspect there is something in my /etc/rc.conf that the new mkinitcpio doesn't like. I haven't figured out what yet.
UPDATE: When I removed "@alsa" from the DAEMONS= line of my /etc/rc.conf file, the machine boots the default image just fine. The funny thing is sound still works even without the alsa daemon.

Wait activity doesn't finish

I have dployed a BPEL process with a Wait activity that must wait 30 seconds. But after the 30 seconds has passed, the wait activity doesn't finish. Can anyone say me what's the problem? Thank You!!

The Input folder is not valid.
The specified value for the (phisycal/virtual) directory activation input parameter has a an invalid "/temp/" value.
How do I identify the process that is generating this problem? Because the process I deployed doesn't use file adapters but maybe it can be generated by one of the process called by the one I deployed and that I built previously using the "obant" comand.

Deep freeze's reboot frozen command doesn't finishes

Whenever i send a reboot frozen command from the ARD on the server, it doesn't finishes. The Reboot command is below.

This execute correctly but it seems like the ARD doesn't recognise that it is done, so it continue running untill manually cancel.
I mean it execute correctly but the command remains in the active task on ARD. What can i do to make this execute and disappear from the active task to history?

Well one option is to break it up into two tasks.
task 1, send unix commands (without the reboot at the end)
task 2, user ard reboot command
Another option would be to que up the command on the client.
send unti command as user root
launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.atrun.plist
echo "reboot" | at now+1
the catch is that queing up a command, is that you don't know if the command did sucesfully triggure.
I've never tried to use at with deep freeze, so it would be a good idea to test the results before mass deploying.

While installing latest update, it gets stuck at HP Dot4 Scrubber and doesn't finish. Can't print

While installing the latest update sent from HP, during installation it gets stuck and doesn't finish. The message on the screen says HP Dot4 Scrubber. I've the installation twice and gets stuck in the same place. Now I am unable to use my printer... Help please!!!

Same problem for my J5780 & Win XP Pro. Dot4 Scrubber locks up whether I do the install directly from the web or download the file first, then execute.

Project paradox - project finishes burning, but also doesn't finish

Project burning window says:
"Multiplexing and burning"
Progress bar is solid and not moving
text just below says "done"
"Time remaining: about one minute"
The disc ejects.
All I can do is hit Cancel. It will warn me about the project not being finished. If I hit Continue it will go back to the same window, if I Cancel completely I have to start from scratch.
However, I need to burn 20 copies of this disc. Usually iDVD will prompt me to burn another disc, which it did yesterday on my test DVD. Only thing that has changed is DVD brand. Both otherwise burn and play fine, but it doesn't make sense for this to be a physical DVD issue, however, that's all that's changed from yesterday to today.
iDVD is fully up to date, so is Snow Leopard. Permissions are repaired, fsck has been run recently. Restarted the machine first time, then did a shut-down and repair again. As I said, it worked yesterday, but now doesn't after multiple attempts. Only difference is maxel DVD-R, and the new Memorex DVD+R I am using. Both discs have been used before in other situations (burning data and movies before in iDVD. I typically only use Memorex, the maxells were a gift I was using up), and my superdrive is otherwise fine (I hope).
I just ran out of the maxells and purchased the Memorex because I need roughly 20 copies, and that was the only option at the store I visited. Suddenly a few hour long burning project has turned into a several day project since it has to start over from the beginning each time.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: MAGICALLY FIXED ITSELF. AFTER THIRD BURN IT PROMPTED FOR ADDITIONAL DISC AS NORMAL. Hopefully it lasts and isn't an issue with the drive.

If you are burning multiple copies, save your project as a Disc Image - File > Save as Disc Image...
Then right click on the Disc Image, select Open with Disk Utility, highlight the image and click on Burn.
You will be prompted to insert a disk and after that you can specify your burn speed.
Far more efficient and quicker way of burning multiple copies than re-burning iDVD Projects.

Quiz doesn't work if user closes it down and opens it again

For test purposes I have created a project in Captivate with 8 different question slides - one slide with each question type. I haven't modified the question slide elements or timeline.
I have published the project to Adobe Connect as a course in shared training.
The problem is that if the user closes down the quiz at question number 5 and then opens it again, the user can't answer question number 6 and sometimes question number 7 neither, the slides are completely inactive.
If I create a project with 8 question slides with the SAME question type, the problem doesn't occur.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
I have Captivate 6 and Adobe Connect 8.5.

Can't delete old photos from iPhone - sync doesn't finish

I don't sync music (iTunes Match instead). I got the iPhone 6 largely to show photos, synced with Aperture. However, there are two kinds of problems: sync no longer finishes, so nothing new is synced to the phone; and I can't delete thousands of photos on my phone from earlier syncs.
I have tried many things that have sometimes worked for other people, including unchecking the Sync Photos box, checking it and syncing with an empty folder or an empty folder with one image, syncing the phone to iPhoto instead of Aperture, syncing with a different computer, resetting the iPhone, and more.
I also Restored the iPhone from a backup, which at first that worked - no old photos on the iPhone. But once I checked the box to sync with Aperture, all the old events and albums reappeared even though they don't match my current Aperture set-up.
When I try to sync, I get messages saying "Waiting for Changes to be Applied" and then eventually "could not be synced because the sync session failed to finish" though sometimes I've had to just interrupt it.
The bar on the bottom of the iTunes Summary page jumps around from session to session, showing either the number of images I want to sync or a much larger number that probably matches what's actually on the iPhone. But right now the bar in iTunes shows 17.34 GB of photos, with 26 GB Free; on my iPhone, Storage says I have 4.2 GB Photos & Camera; with 38 GB available.
The Other bar in the Summary line has at times been 5 or 6 GB; right now it's showing 256 MB.
Suggestions?

Mine appear to be on-and-off. Same with my wife. Changing PC (or Mac, if you will) or browser doesn't make a difference.
My case is still open - senior advisor verified that his wasn't working either - but no response.
I guess they're too busy.
