Quiz Slides - can a user change their answer after submit

I have been asked to do something with Captivate 2 that I am
not sure can be done.
Can a quiz be set up so that a user can go back to a
previously answered question (after it has been submitted) and
change their answer to that question and re-submit the answer? If
so what would be the quiz settings?
Alternatively, can the answers be saved in a session cookie
and submitted all at once? This would allow a user to move back and
forth to different questions and change their answers, then when
they are finished do the submit all at once.
I thought I saw this functionality in Captivate 2 but it
might have been Articulate Presenter.

Enable the web server and then enable web services, and enable user password changes.  (Details vary by the OS X Server version.)
There are other mechanisms available, such as allowing the user to log into the server via ssh.  That assumes the user is comfortable with or can be provided the sequence to reset their password via passwd or other local tools.

  • Can external users change their language, time zone, and locale settings?

    Hi,
We’re migrating our hosts from WebEx cloud to our on-prem solution right now (CWMS 1.5.1.323.A).
We’ve learned that CWMS 1.5 does not provide an online address book where hosts could customize language, time zone, and locale settings for their external attendees.
Do external users have any chance at all to change their language, time zone and locale settings individually?
    Thank you,
    Helge

    Hi Dejan,
"external users" are those participants, who do not have an LDAP account in our deployment, since they are not intendet to act as hosts: our stakeholders, partners, customers, clients.
It looks, as if these people would stick to the systems' default language / time zone / locale.
We are wondering if there might be a CWMS-component like this:
    https://artcom.webex.com/cmp0307l/webcomponents/widget/preference.do?serviceType=MC&siteurl=artcom&target=Page&backUrl=%2Fmw0307l%2Fmywebex%2Fdefault.do%3Fsiteurl%3Dartcom%26service%3D1
to allow those "extenal" participants to make their adjustments.
    Thank you,
    Helge

    Hi there,

    Hi Paline,
Unfortunately this cannot be done. However, being the author of the form you can make the required changes in the response file.

  • How does a user change their password?

I have been using OS X server to provide, among other things, centralised user accounts, such that any user can logon to any mac on the network by providing mobile accounts. However, if a user wants to change their password, this only appears to affect the local (cached) copy of the account and doesn't appear to change it centrally. i.e. use System Preferences-> Accounts
How does a user change their 'network' password in OS X Server?

There is no inbuilt functionality to change the user password from SharePoint. All user account details need to be managed from AD.

  • Please Confirm:  Can  a user change options in Viewer?

In Discoverer 4i Viewer, can the user change options such as show null values as blank and warn me if the query will take longer than 'n' seconds?
    Thanks,
    -DG

    Yes.
Click on the 'Options' icon in the upper right hand frame of the window (not the presentation options link above the worksheet, but rather the Viewer options).
This will let you set both the query governor and null settings you are interested in.

  • Protecting users and their emails after FA-P2T on Cloud and on-premise environments

    Hello everyone,
I would like to share this helpful article to let you know how to protect user's emails after a FA-P2T(production to test) procedure on-premise environments, and make it possible for Cloud(thru SRs, if approved, of course).
thiagoleoncio: Protecting users and their emails after FA-P2T on Cloud environments
    I hope it helps,
    Thiago Leoncio.

I had exactly same issue. And it was hard for me to troubleshoot too. Here is what I did,
Forced "Outlook Anywhere" even when users were in internal LAN. The issue did not appear. This gave me the idea that since Outlook Anywhere is encrypted (HTTPS) connection there was no interference with
traffic between Outlook and Exchange. This tells me that some other network devices were interfering with this traffic.
In my case, it was WAN Acceleration (Riverbed). Riverbed did acknowledged this issue and pointed us to their KB article. Good luck convincing your network guys though. If HTTPS work, keep using it. It
will eventually irritate the network guys as they cannot compress encrypted traffic ( if you don't provide them the certificate).
I know this is shot in the dark as I don't know your network.
Exchange server reboot could be completely different issue. I have no idea why.
    I hope this helps.

  • The answers questions not selectable in quiz slide for some users

We have a SCORM Captivate training content published on our LMS (SAP Learning Solutions). Some users can't respond to any questions in the content. For these users, the answers are locked and are not selectable. Also, the Validate and Erase buttons didn't appear.
The problem concerns about 10% of our users.
This training contains both content slides and quiz slides.
The content is published in SCORM 1.2 (SWF + HTML) with Adobe Captivate 5.5. We had the same problem for some users with the previous version of this training content published with Captivate 4.
All users have the same settings:
    Flash Player 10.3.183.11
    Internet Explorer 6
    Microsoft Windows XP

The most likely reason for this behaviour is that your 10% of users have entered the quiz and then thought they might jump back to the information slides to check the answer.  On doing so they have exited the quiz scope which immediately locks the quiz.
Have you actually watched these problem users complete the quiz?  If you are able to do so, make sure that once they start the first question, they answer all quiz questions in turn without jumping to any other slides or leaving the quiz.  If my hunch is right, the person will be able to successfully complete the quiz.
If the desire is to allow users to jump back to the content section to check information, place a scored button on the first or second slide of your project.  This extends the quiz scope and will mean that the user is still within the "quiz" no matter what slide they want to look at.

  • How can I allow normal user change their LDAP password?

I use Solaris10 + Sun Directory server 5.2SP6 + Samba, how can allow normal user change the password themselves?

  • Users changing their own passwords

we have set up an Open Directory and are going through the steps to deploy. One issue we have yet to find an elegant solution to is user's passwords and changing them on a regular basis. Many of the contracts we deal with stipulate user passwords are to be changed every 45 days.
Now - there is no way we want our users monkeying around in Workgroup Manger changing their own passwords - and the last thing we on the IT team want to do is perform data entry tasks every couple of months to change everyone's password. Plus - for security reasons - this is a terrible idea.
so - is there an easy way to have a user update their password without going through Workgroup Manager?
    thanks

And you can set the password lifetime and reset and character-content policies in Server Admin > Open Directory > Policies > Passwords, if you've not already found that set of knobs.
I'd also suggest looking to two-factor or certificate-based approaches, if you're having requirements around password resets.

  • Control to Stop Users Changing their Own Employee Master Data

Hi all. I'm carrying out a security review of users on a SAP HR implementation as part of this we are looking at users that can change bank details, basic pay etc. I was wondering if there is a control in place on SAP that would stop a user with access to make changes from changing their own Basic Pay on the system. Thanks

    Hi Jonh,
Sure there is a way to stop it; you have to use infotype 0105 + security object P_PERN, please follow this link to get more details: HR Authorizations Backend v/s ESS
    Hope that helps,
    Best regards,

  • How do you stop Activesync users changing their profile picture?

We are in the process of migrating from Exchange 2007 to 2013. In 2007 nobody had the ability to change their profile picture (seen in Outlook and in our online phonebook). However, it would appear that users already migrated to 2013 who have a iOS
device connected via ActiveSync can now use the OWA for iPhone mail client on their mobile to change their profile picture.
We do not want users to have this ability, we have already seen some inappropriate images appear and need to stop this. How can I restrict it?

    Hi GADavies,
Great information from Off2work, please try it. If there is anything problem, feel free to update.

  • Can a user chose their SSPR preference?

    Hi,
When registering for SSPR, can a user also select which is their preferred reset method?
answering a number of challenge / response questions
receive an OTP on a manually entered email address
receive an SMS OTP to a manually entered mobile number
    thanks,
    DW

    Hello
Yes, it is possible. I have done this before but we did not leave to the user to decide.
If you leave it to the user wether he or she types in an email address or telephone number and you have your Password reset user sets based on these attributes, then the user has influence on the way he or she can reset the Password. But I am not sure what
happens if the user provides Information on email AND telephone Number so you are responsible to test it or to make sure that it is only possible to type in one of these Options. And you should also keep in mind that changing number to address or
vice verse would require th user to re-Register.

  • SBO2007A can no longer change the Price after Discount on marketing docs

In SBO2005A (subjecting to Document Settings), you could change the Price after Discount.  Thisis no longer available in SBO2007A (unless you upgrade from SBO2005A with the appropiate settings.
I have not found a customer who thinks this is good idea.
    Good to reinstate the functionality.
    Regards
    Jeff

    Hi,
The field "Price after discount" can become editable if you unmark the checkbox "Calculate the row Total using the Unit Price" (Document Settings->General Tab). As default this checkbox is disabled for new installations.

  • With Multiple Users--Can One User Change The Download Location of iTunes?

    Hi Everyone--
We have separate user accounts on our computer so that my dh and I can each have our own iTunes accts. However, we've run out of room on our C: drive. Now I know you can move where iTunes downloads--either external hd or the D: drive. But if I move where my iTunes downloads to, will it mess up where his downloads to? I'd really hate to mess up or merge our downloads.
    Thanks!

    Welcome to AD!
Both of your itunes preferences are separate. If you change yours, it will not affect his.
My advice is to consolidate your library to wherever you want it, and then consolidate his. If you just move the files around in Win Explorer, iTunes will still be looking for them on C: and not be able to play them.
Here is a good background article on that
