Quizzes: Open URL on current window don´t work

I'm using the open URL in current window option for both results pass or fail, if I pass it works fine, the new URL opens in the same window but if I fail it opens in a new window. How can I fix it ??

Open URL in new window function not working.

Please please please can someone help. The openURL function that I have linked to a button and a click box will just not work anymore in a new project. I have searched everywhere for an answer and all I can find is that it is something to do with a flash update preventing this and some code was provided as a work around. However I only have captivate 4 and 5 and have no way of editing this code to allow the new windows to function. If these functions are no longer available within captivate then captivate is nolonger any use to me. Can anyone help?

Open URL in new window when button pressed

Version: 4.1.1
Hi there,
Under the button options we can set it to redirect it to a URL. However, the page opens in the current window. Is it possible to get it to pop open in a new window?

The Open URL or File function is not working when I publish as a exe. I have tried putting the exe in the same location as the files with no luck. How do I get the buttons to function properly with a exe file.

Have you set the Publish folder as a trusted location in Flash Global Security?

Open URL in current browser window

I'm developing an application that works side-by-side with the user's default web browser. The browser communicates with the app through a proxy, and that works great. The issue I'm having is going the other way. So far, I've only been successful opening a new browser window each time. However, it would be much better to be able to open a page in the current window/tab. I mainly want this to work with Firefox (or anything other than IE). Has anyone ever done this, and is this even possible with Java?

Desktop.getDesktop().browse() is what I'm using currently. I don't think you understood my problem. Currently it is opening in a new browser window. In Firefox, it's opening in a new tab, since I have it set to open in a new tab instead of new window. But, what I want it to do is open in the CURRENT tab. In other words, navigate from the current page to a new page, just as if the user had typed in an address into the address bar and pressed enter, or just as if he had clicked a standard link on the webpage.

all this works but when i right click on a message or news item and select "OPEN IN NEW TAB" - it fails to open the tab in this current window it opens it in the parent window --
the way i have always used this is to able to select news and right click all news items to read as new tabs and have all news items or messages to be grouped in the child window
this is now broken or do i need to recode something??

the user jay_ff shows how to do it using the Menu Editor Add-on
1. Install the Menu Editor add-on from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/menu-editor/ .
2. After the installation, go to Firefox> add-ons (or simply use Ctrl+Shift+A)
3. Go to the Menu Editor "Options"
4. In the "Main context menu," simply grab the "Open link in New Tab" and place it below the "Open Link in New Window"
5. and Voila! You may also change other menu options if you want to!
I tried jay_ff method first and found that indeed changing the Main Context Menu did cause the hotlink context menu to change as well.

Internet Explorer cannot open url in local Windows network share

Favorites are redirected to a Windows network share (on the server itself)
Issue: When clicking a favourite redirected to the Windows network share, IE does nothing.
For testing purpose,
I double click a .url file in redirected Favorites (e.g.
\\domain_controller\profiles\username\Favorites\website.url), IE opens with a blank page.
If the .url file is placed at local drive or a Samba share (e.g. in a Synology box, probably it does not really matter as long as it is a network share residing in another computer), IE works fine.
The issue applies to every one (probably except Administrator) logged on the domain controller.
I tried reset IE. It did not work.
Favourites redirection works on Windows 8.1 client computers in the domain.
Pinned Site Shortcut (.website) file works everywhere
When Enable Protected Mode in Internet Options\Security\Internet is disabled, IE can open .url file in a Windows network share. But it is probably not a good idea to permanently disable it.
Any suggestion on fixing the issue? Thank you.

tried ProcMon, the events captured are enormous even after I filtered out those I am sure do not matter. It was hard to spot what went wrong if I don't know what to look for.
Which is why I made the suggestion to filter coarsely and wait for a divergence in your two nearly equivalent traces.   <eg>
Otherwise, if you are only looking at one trace but think that there is a possibility that some diagnostics may have been written, filtering with
Operation Is WriteFile is often very handy.  With that filter you can also use the Count occurrences... tool for the number of distinct Path values which were involved.
In fact, now that I have reviewed the symptom description, filtering coarsely might also mean using only the File Access events and filtering with Path Contains Fav   Do that with each of your traces and see where there is a divergence.
Then turn the filter off at that point or perhaps just add Registry events at that point (e.g. use the button but leave your filter for Path in place). Etc.

Transaction launcher: open URL in new window

Dear all,
I know many threads have already been posted about "stateful URL" created with transaction launcher, that open a new browser window AND navigate to an empty screen with the following text (which is more than useless):
"The requested page has been opened in a new window, please press back button to go back to the last page."
Carsteen gave some useful hints already in the following thread:

But maybe someone found something new since then... At the moment I'm thinking about "simulating" a clic on the BACK button (like mentioned in this useless message), with something like :
DATA:
history TYPE REF TO if_bsp_wd_history_manager_disp.
history = view_manager->get_history_manager_display( ).
history->go_back( ).
Any better idea ?

I assume that since then you have found a way to fix your issue, but as the post is not answered I can tell you that SAP has taken into account this point in SAP 702 EHP1, with a new attribute in the customizing of the transaction launcher called "Keep Work area" :
Keep Work Area When Opening Launch Transaction in New Window
This indicator defines whether the work area content is kept when you open a launch transaction in a new window.
Use
If this indicator is not set and a launch transaction opens in a new window, then the main window loads the base page of the transaction launcher into the work area.
If this indicator is set and a launch transaction opens in a new window, then the main window keeps its current content in the work area.
Dependencies
This indicator is only evaluated if you have also set the indicator for using a new window.

First u have to create outbound plug in interfaceview
1)Open the node WebDynpro → Web Dynpro Components → <ComponentName> → Component Interface → Interface Views in that click <interfacename> interface view .
2) Select the Plugs tab in the Plugs area.
3)Choose New next to the outbound plug table.create new outbound plug.for example,Name GotoUrl, and choose Type Exit Plug.
4)Select the new outbound plug GotoUrl and choose New next to the parameter table.taEnter the name Url datatype as STRING.
5)Open the view in the View Designer and select the Properties tab. Choose Add next to the Required Controllers table and add the <interface name>InterfaceView

Hi folks,
I am working on WAD3.5 where in I have created several links to open either WEBGUI i.e to open various customized TCODES in SAP-Bi or other queries. BAsicaly its a work bench sort of thing from where we can access various tools developed for client. I am using below mentioned HTML code:

There is a parameter on the web template that should be set..
it is
Open dialogs in new window - set this to either automatic or "Open Window X"
or add this to your template properties list:
<param name="ENABLE_OPEN_WINDOW" value="X"/>

Is there a way to know how many tabs are open in the current window?

I have a habit of keeping lots and lots of tabs open in my Firefox window. Sometimes, I'd like to know how many are open so that I can go through and close some of them if the number is excessive...(or at least excessive by my standards).
How do I get a quick count of the number of open tabs? Surely I don't have to count them myself, do I?

You can use Tab Counter add-on for this. This add-on shows the number of tab in presently opened window on upper right corner beside minimize.

Evolution opens link in current window not in window Firefox is running in

Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS, Gnome 3.12.2 due to lockups of system I removed the Ubuntu version of Firefox and installed 33.1.1 from the Mozilla site. Since then whenever I click on a link in a message Firefox will open in the same window Evolution is in not in the window Firefox is currently running in. Not only that but it will open to my homepage not to the link that has been clicked on.

Try redoing your link and, this time, deselect the link on the page and look at the inspector window to see if anything has changed. Then check the 'make hyperlinks active box". Your linked page should open in the browser when you click the link on the iWeb page.
If this is OK do a "publish all to .Mac" and empty your browser cache before visiting your site.

When I open a link in a new window it opens BEHIND the current window.

links that open a new window open the window behind the current window instead of in front of it. This just started happening in the last week or so.

I am using firefox 3.6 due to compatibility with roboform.Firefox keeps crashing and when I click a tab opens in a new window don't want that.

Open link in new window will not work

I am running Firefox 3.6.12 on Windows XP and have never had a problem until just recently. If I right click and select "open link in new window", a new window will open, but it is blank. This started about a week ago while playing Pogo...the game rooms will not load because they open in a new window. Now I am noticing that it is with everything, not just Pogo.
I have tried checking and unchecking the "block pop-ups" option and the new windows will not load either way.
Any help would be appreciated!!!

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
