Visio 2010 Validation for Checking the number of a specific type of shape.
I have written a rule for flowchart for checking the number of Start/End Shapes in a document.
The FilterExpression is as follows:
AGGCOUNT(FILTERSET(SHAPESONPAGE(), HASCATEGORY("Start/End"))) > 0
The TestExpression is as follows:
AGGCOUNT(FILTERSET(SHAPESONPAGE(),HASCATEGORY("Start/End"))) = 2
(Since totally there are 2 shapes: 1 Start and 1 End Shape)
However, it is not working. Can anybody tell me what is wrong in the expressions.Well, it worked for me, so I want to check that you modified the Start/End master to have the User.msvShapeCategories row with the value "Start/End", as I did?
A Category is not a Master

Manual Check Number changes when checks for payment is printed
Hi Guyz,
Can you help me on this issue. I don't know why it overrides when i try to print the Checks for Payment. It also changes the manual check number i entered in the payment means. Is there a settings that can be set? please advise. thanks.Hi
The main goal of manual check number (at the Outgoing Payment) is to register a check that was written manually.
For example: The person in charge of the purchases in the company goes to a supplier and write down a manul check to pay the merchandise.
When he/she return to the office informs the check number, vendor, amount to the registered in the system.
As the check in already in vendor hands you don't need to print again.
SAP Business One will change the (manual or not) check everytime you print it.
In case of you want to assign a manual number you can do it via Document Printing -> Checks For Payment.
When the screen comes up to select the documents to be printed, you can type the number in the box 'Next Check Number'.

How to check the number of licences for ODI
Hi,
I would like to know , how to check the number of licences exists for my current OID.
ODI Version: 11.1.1ODI licensing is similar to Oracle DB licensing. Its licensed by the number of cores in your target database.
So, count the number of CPUs in your target box. Multiply them by the core factor (x86 vs sparc, etc) and then match with the paperwork you have :D -
Validation check for BP external id type and id number
Hi,
I need to validate the external Id type and Id no. ( from table BUT0ID) based on some conditions from the WebUI while adding a new id type and also during deletion of that id.
I have found out 2 Badi's BUPA_IDENT_UPDATE, BUPA_IDENT_CHECK
Will these BADI triggered from the WebUI ?
What would be the other way to implement these checks for the Business Partner?
Provide some possible solutions.
Thanks for all your help.

Authorization checks for bank account number in vendor master
I am trying to find a way to set up authorization checks for specific fields in the vendor master: LFBK-BANKL, LFBK-BANKN, LFBK-EBPP_ACCNAME and LFBK-EBPP_ACCNAME. I am tring to set ip up so that if you have access to transactions FK03 or XK03, you can view vendor master data except for the above fields.
Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this? Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
-PeruHI Peru,
To supress a field in FK03 u will have to check
Financial Accounting (New)>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Vendor Accounts>Master Data>Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Data-->Define Screen Layout per Activity (Vendors)
in that Display Vendor (Accounting) for FK03 and Display vendor (centrally) for Xk03
But there bank account no is not there.
Moreover there r no authorization objects for all the fields that u gave.
So try creating screen variant/ transaction variant in SHD0.

Checking for PDF 1.7 compatibility in Preflight (Acrobat 9 Pro)
Hi,
I've noticed that in the given Preflight profiles in Acrobat 9 there is no compatibility check for PDF 1.7, only 1.6. is there a profile i can load? or a set of checks i can make a profile in order to determine 1.7 compatibility?
Thanks,
Yair Agmon.Hi,
Knowing a PDF file's version premits deduction of what version "compatibility" is present.
Version 1.7 (Acrobat 8.x) lacks compatibility for Acrobat 9.x specific features.
Version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x) lacks compatibility for Acrobat 8.x specific features.
And so forth.
Certainly, not an elegantly simple approach; but, nevertheless it is functional.
Using Acrobat Professional/Extended 9.x -
Open the Preflight dialog.
Advanced > Preflight
From the Options drop-down menu, Select "New Preflight Profile".
The Prefight: Edit Profile dialog opens.
A default profile name is provided (New Profile <number>).
Initially, Click the Save button to save the profile. You can rename it later.
Note that "New Profile" is placed in "Custom
Now, locate your "New Profile" in the column at the left of the dialog and select
"Custom checks".
The available custom checks list loads in the pane to the right.
Above and to the right is a "Find" field.
Enter the string "version".
A filtered list appears.
A custom check is available for "versions newer than":
1.2 | 1.3 | 1.4 | 1.5 | 1.6 | 1.7
and there is a custom check for "version older than 1.3".
Add the desired custom check to the profile. Save.
Configure the check for Error | Warning | Info
Info is "Notification" in the report that can be provided.
Once you have configured "New Profile" it can be used by a Batch Sequence to check multiple files.
When a Preflight is selected for use by a Batch Sequence you can configure for a "on success" and/or "on error" report.

Check for empty visa resource?
When I am developing the VI at my desk and not a the test station PC, the VISA resource name is empty.
Once the VI is moved to the test station PC, the user can select a VXI board.
How do I make sure the user has selected a VISA resource before continuing?
I can wire a Comparision to check for Empty String, and that works. But is there any method that I should use?
Solved!
Go to Solution.Additionally, you can limit the selectable items by interface type. Right-click VISA Resource Name Control and select I/O Name Filtering.

Page Validation - Function Returning Boolean - Check for NULL
I have 3 Page Validations which all fire on "When Button Pressed" = "Submit".
<br><br>
Number 1 is of type "Item specified is NOT NULL" for "P199_BUSINESS_UNIT1".
<br>
Number 2 is of type "Item specified is NOT NULL" for "P199_BUSINESS_UNIT2".
<br>
Number 3 is of type "Function Returning Boolean" and has the following code:
<br><br>
IF :P199_BUSINESS_UNIT1 IS NULL AND
:P199_BUSINESS_UNIT2 IS NULL THEN
RETURN FALSE ;
ELSE
RETURN TRUE ;
END IF ;<br>
When P199_BUSINESS_UNIT1 is NULL and P199_BUSINESS_UNIT2 is NOT NULL, I get the Error from Validation 1. Perfect.
<br>
When P199_BUSINESS_UNIT1 is NOT NULL and P199_BUSINESS_UNIT2 is NULL, I get the Error from Validation 2. Perfect.
<br>
When P199_BUSINESS_UNIT1 is NOT NULL and P199_BUSINESS_UNIT2 is NOT NULL, I don't get an Error Message. Perfect.
<br><br>
When P199_BUSINESS_UNIT1 is NULL and P199_BUSINESS_UNIT2 is NULL, I get Error Message 1 & 2, <strong>but nothing from 3.</strong>
<br><br>
If I change the code to:
<br><br>
IF :P199_BUSINESS_UNIT1 = '01' AND
:P199_BUSINESS_UNIT2 = '01' THEN
RETURN FALSE ;
ELSE
RETURN TRUE ;
END IF ;<br>
and change both values to '01', I get the appropriate Error Message.
<br><br>
What is going on? Is there some reason I can't check for NULL in a Function Returning Boolean?Scott,
<br><br>
Instead of adding the Validations, I changed my code from:
<br><br>
IF :P199_BUSINESS_UNIT1 IS NULL AND
:P199_BUSINESS_UNIT2 IS NULL THEN
RETURN FALSE ;
ELSE
RETURN TRUE ;
END IF ;
<br>to the following and got the desired results:
<br><br>
IF REPLACE(:P199_BUSINESS_UNIT1,<strong>'%null'</strong> || '%',NULL) IS NULL AND
REPLACE(:P199_BUSINESS_UNIT2,<strong>'%null'</strong> || '%',NULL) IS NULL THEN
RETURN FALSE ;
ELSE
RETURN TRUE ;
END IF ;<br>
Note that I changed the word REPLACE to upper case and the second occurrence of the word NULL to upper case to accentuate the fact that the '%null' is case sensitive, using "%NULL' does not work, it has to be "%null' in lower case.
<br><br>

Checking for null value in arraylist
Hi
i have an excel file which i i am reading into an arraylist row by row but not necesarrily that all columns in the row mite be filled. So how do i check for null values in the array list.
try
int cellCount = 0;
int emptyRow = 0;
HSSFWorkbook workbook = new HSSFWorkbook(new FileInputStream(file));
HSSFSheet sheet = workbook.getSheetAt(0);
Iterator rows = sheet.rowIterator();
myRow = new ArrayList();
int r = 1;
while (rows.hasNext())
System.out.println("Row # " + r);
HSSFRow row = (HSSFRow) rows.next();
Iterator cells = row.cellIterator();
cellCount = 0;
boolean isValid = false;
while (cells.hasNext())
HSSFCell cell = (HSSFCell) cells.next();
switch (cell.getCellType())
case HSSFCell.CELL_TYPE_NUMERIC:
double num = cell.getNumericCellValue();
DecimalFormat pattern = new DecimalFormat("###,###,###,###");
NumberFormat testNumberFormat = NumberFormat.getNumberInstance();
String mob = testNumberFormat.format(num);
Number n = null;
try
n = pattern.parse(mob);
catch ( ParseException e )
e.printStackTrace();
System.out.println(n);
myRow.add(n);
//myRow.add(String.valueOf(cell.getNumericCellValue()).trim());
//System.out.println("numeric: " +cell.getNumericCellValue());
break;
case HSSFCell.CELL_TYPE_STRING:
myRow.add(cell.getStringCellValue().trim());
System.out.println("string: " + cell.getStringCellValue().trim());
break;
case HSSFCell.CELL_TYPE_BLANK:
myRow.add(" ");
System.out.println("add empty:");
break;
} // end switch
cellCount++;
} // end while
r++;
}// end while
} myRow is the arrayList i am adding the cells of the excel file to. I have checked for blank spaces in my coding so please help with how to check for the black spaces that has been added to my arraylist.
I have tried checking by looping through the ArrayList and then checking for null values like this
if(myRow.get(i)!=null)
// do something
// i have tried this also
if(myRow.get(i)!="")
//do something
}Edited by: nb123 on Feb 3, 2008 11:23 PMFrom your post I see you are using a 3rd party package to access the Excel SpreadSheets, you will have to look in your API for you 3rd party package and see if there is a method that will identify a blank row, if there is and it does not work, then you have to take that problem up with them. I know this is a pain, but it is the price we pay for 3rd party object use.
In the mean time, you can make a workaround by checking every column in your row and seeing if it is null, or perhaps even better: check and see if the trimmed value of each cell has a lenth of 0. -
Over due items are not considered in credit check for customer
Hi Gurus;
We have static credit active for the sales order which is blocking if the sales value is more than the customer credit balance but it is not checking for over due item i.e the billing document whose accounting document hasn't been cleared yet .Though i have maintained same number days for payment terms and risk category for the customer .
Kindly guide me if have missed out any configuration or setting .
Thanks in advance .Hi Nuru,
Hope you are using automatic credit check and not simple crdit check ..Check that.
Is ur update group a standard one..?
Please paste screenshots of FD33, credit status, OVA8 etc.

Following a backup and restore of my iphone 3g I have lost the use of a number of apps - this seems to be as they need ios5 or later to support them and I only have 4.2.1
When I check for updates via itunes I am advised that I have the latest version - but clearly I don't.
Any help gratefully received on how I can upgrade to ios5
YallySadly, the iPhone 3G can not be upgraded beyond iOS 4.2.1.
