Quote Analysis to PO

Hello Everyone,
I have a scenario wherein there are 10 lines on a Bid Quote of which 5 have been approved from the Quote Analysis Screen. Line-by-line Shipment Approvals and not Entire Quotation Approval. Now if I open the Quote and Copy Document to convert into a PO, all the 10 lines appear on the PO and not only the 5 that have been approved.
Someone from my office has said that in order to create POs for only the approved lines, I will need to create a new PO and when I put the item code at the line level, the PO will automatically take the approved Quote as the Reference Document. The problem is that with 5 or 10 lines it need not seem that difficult but when it comes to my buyers making a Quote for 70 lines, then approving and for the PO they need to re-enter each item at the line level.
Would appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this.
Thanks!
Marc

The functionality of Standard or Catalog Quotation allows you to copy it into a Blanket Purchase Agreement.
If you would like to copy the Quotation into a Standard Purchase Order, then create a Bid Quotation which allows the creation of Standard / Planned Purchase orders.

  • Effect of Approved Supplier List

    Hi,
    i wonder if there is not any effect after I entered supplier-item combination into Approved Supplier List. I expected to - at least - see all approved suppliers in the Supplier Item Catalog. But this seems not to happen.
    Can please somebody clarify if entering a supplier in ASL should lead to a result in the Supplier Item Catalog.
    If not: Does it work if I additional to the ASL enter Sourcing Rules? Is this enough to find the supplier in the Supplier Item Catalog?
    I also tried it with quotations: This works. Quotation entries are shown in the catalog. But here I have the problem that - e.g. for price updates - I do not know how to find all quotations with a specific item on it. Does there exist a search form?
    Thanks for any help!

    Purchasing > RFQ & Quotations > Quote Analysis
    Enter the item number and you can find all quotes for that item.
    Hope this answers your question

  • What's the difference between RFQ in PO module and RFQ in Sourcing module?

    Hi,
    I have created a RFQ using 'Sourcing Super User' in Vision Demo. The RFQ number is 45635.
    Then, I created another RFQ using 'Purchasing, Vision Operations (USA)'. The RFQ number is 362. And I tried to search RFQ 45635 on the form in this PO responsibility. But I can't find it.
    Why the two RFQs have different sequence of numbering? I thought that the RFQ in Sourcing responsibility is the same as that in PO responsibility. Am I wrong?
    Thanks
    Leo

    Hi Leo,
    The eSourcing Module is separate module. The RFQ's created in eSourcing application are stored in different tables and are usually used in conjunction with the module iSupplier Portal. The Supplier users (Read Sales Persons of the Suppliers) can enter view the RFQ and respond with a quote.
    Now, about the RFQ form in Purchasing Super user, think of it being used by the Organizations buyer to enter and keep record of all the RFQ's and Quotations he sends and recieves in a paper based system. It does not have any integrations or any other functions except for quote analysis which is a relatively simple interface.
    Hope this answers the question.
    Thanks,

  • Sales Analysis Widget - Sales Quota graph data origin

    Regarding the Sales Analysis Widget in the Sales Cockpit new feature with SAP 8.81
    In the Fiscal Year Analysis graph I can see sales amounts this year/ last year but the yellow 'Quota' line is always 0 .
    Please can someone advise where the Quota amount figure should be drawn from?
    Thanks
    Karen

    Hi,
    Regarding the 'Quota' amount in the sales analysis , can you please check the Demo by entering the Budget amount for the sales account in the Budget and then check whether the 'Quota' is populated with a value or zero.
    Please check and let us know.

  • Report for anoymous analysis of Time Quotas (IT2006)

    Dear all,
    we face the request to provide a view on all defined Time Quotas (InfoType 2006), where only the totals will be shown.
    Example: we have an overtime contingent OT
    employee 1 has 10hrs
    employee 2 has 20 hrs
    our goal would be based on selection criteria the have list of time quoats among them we finf OT: 30hrs.
    So the output sums up all quotas and outputs them anonymously.
    Thanks for your help
    best regards

  • SSAS SSRS Report Action on Cell Value w/ Embedded Single Quote Not Executing

    I have configured an SSAS 2008 R2 cube SSRS ReportAction. I'm having problems when the member value for a cell has an embedded single quote, e.g. abc's. The action displays on the context menu appropriately, but when I click on the action, nothing happens.
    For member values that do not have the single quote, the action works as designed. I've added a calculated ember to escape the embedded single quote by adding another single quote, e.g. abc''s, with no luck. Is there a resolution or workaround for this?

    Hi Mdccuber,
    According to your description, you create a reporting action in you cube, and it works fine except the members that have embedded single quote, right? In your scenario, it seems that you pass this value to the report as the parameter.
    In SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), when pass values to a report, multi-select parameters have to be placed into IN statement and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) will do single-quote wrapping for string values automatically. In this case, the original
    value that have embedded single quote will be damaged. So this action not work. You can submit a feedback at
    http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/Feedback and hope it is resolved in the next release of service pack or product.

  • Intermittent error on login page when username is entered as a single quote( ' ) and tab is pressed.

    Hi All,
    We have an ADF based portal application which has a login page with Username and Password inputText field.
    When we type a single quote( ' ) in the Username field and press tab to go to the Password field an error is thrown saying "A connection to the server has failed" and this window does not close if we click on ok or the close option of the popup.
    This is causing serious problems for us. It would be great if anyone could help us out as to why this is happening or if anyone has experinced the same issue.
    Thanks,
    Tanya

    Hey Frank,
    Sorry for the delayed reply. Since the issue was a high priority one and had to fix it ASAP we didn't have time to analyse it further.
    We just inserted a javascript that prevented the form from getting submitted if a single quote is entered in the inputText field.
    So far it has worked for us.
    Thanks for your help though.

  • How to update the z-condition type in pricing procedure in a quote

    Hi Gurus,
    I need your help to solve my issue.
    I have created a RFC which will trigger any time there is a CRM Quote/ CRM Order create or change occurs. IN response of the RFC i will get the rate and rate type for the line items .
    When the service  returns with rate value the SAP system will insert this value by inserting z-condition type  in to the pricing structure. The normal pricing function module will then carry the process forward.
    Todo this ,Can i code the RFC call in Order_save badi ,but where can i get the pricing sturcure  data to update the returned rate values in the pricing.
    and also one more thing ,In ecc  I am using the CUCB_GET_CONFIGURATION to get product configurations. for the same which FM can i use in CRM.
    Please reply me ASAP.

    hei,
    you can use field KOMP-KZWI1 - KZWI6 to store your condition type. then it can be used for analysis in SIS.
    if you want to put more than one condition type to field KOMP-KZWI1, go to V/08 (pricing Procedure), put "1" in condition subtotal.
    Best Regard,

  • Time Evaluation quota not transferred

    Hi,
    For a couple of employees when i run time evaluation, quota type 91 gets generated and transferred but quota type 93 does not. It remains 0.
    On analyzing the logs, i found that for these employees, there is an entry in table QTTRANS with the quota amount that was supposed to be transferred.
    According to doc on help.sap.com, {Table QTTRANS indicates the status of the transfer pool for each day. The cumulated entitlements are indicated until they have been transferred to the *Absence Quotas *infotype (2006) or until the entitlement has expired.}
    This means the quota amount for quota type 93 is being generated, but is not being transferred to infotype 2006. Also, the transfer time in the rule is not being shown on ad-hoc basis for these two employees for this particular Quota type. The other quota type 91 which is evaluated on exactly the same basis is working fine.
    I have checked the transfer period in config and it is monthly. Also, for other employees in the same grouping PSG, ESG, quota is being generated and transferred correctly.
    Quota of 2.5 should be transferred on the last day of every month.
    Further, analysis of QTTRANS over a period of time reveals the following results:
    Jan05 Quota transferred : 0 ;Table QTTRANS: 2.5
    Feb05 Quota transferred : 2.5 ;Table QTTRANS: 2.5
    Mar05 Quota transferred : 2.5 ;Table QTTRANS: 5.0
    Apr05 Quota transferred : 7.5 ;Table QTTRANS: 2.5
    May05 Quota transferred : 10 ;Table QTTRANS: 2.5
    Jun05 Quota transferred : 10 ;Table QTTRANS: 5.0
    Jul05 Quota transferred : 10 ;Table QTTRANS: 7.5
    Aug05 Quota transferred : 17.5 ;Table QTTRANS: 2.5
    Sep05 Quota transferred : 20 ;Table QTTRANS: 2.5
    Oct05 Quota transferred : 20 ;Table QTTRANS: 5.0
    Nov05 Quota transferred : 25 ;Table QTTRANS: 2.5
    Dec05 Quota transferred : 25 ;Table QTTRANS: 5.0
    For the entire year, it should have generated and transferred 30 but actually it is 25.
    I would be very grateful if anyone can point out the cause of this issue.
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Zubair

    HI,
    You can view in IT2006 accumulated Quota means current year Quota + carry over Quota. In Time cluster tables "QTTRANS" you can view Quota transfer value.
    Refer T.code: Pt66 for Time cluster tables.

  • Typographical (Smart) Quotes Algorithm

    Hi all, I have some questions about straight vs. typographical quotes:
    1.
    As far as I concern there can be 2 different techniques to change straight to typographical quotes:
    a) a RegExpr that searches for pairs of quotes,
    b) changing a quote by analysing its surrounding characters.
    Which of the 2 is preferable?
    Can someone tell me, where I can find good algorithms that do this task?
    2.
    Does somebody know which algorithm was implemented in InDesign to transform straight to typographical quotes?
    Thanks
    Tobias

    No, you're doing it right. Try the exact same procedure in TextEdit, which also relies on OS X's text substitutions mechanism for this, and you'll find it works exactly as you expect. This is a lingering bug in Pages 5.

  • Copying a table with the right-click menu in schema browser fails to copy comments when string has single quote(s) (ascii chr(39))

    Hi,
    I'm running 32-bit version of SQL Developer v. 3.2.20.09 build 09.87, and I used the built in context menu (right-clicking from the schema browser) today to copy a table.  However, none of the comments copied.  When I dug into the PL/SQL that the menu-item is using, I realized that it fails because it doesn't handle single quotes within the comment string.
    For example, I have a table named WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT that I wanted to copy as WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1 (within same schema name)
    1. I right-clicked on the object in the schema browser and selected Table > Copy...
    2. In the pop-up Copy window, I entered the new table name "WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1" and ticked the box for "Include Data" option.  -- The PL/SQL that the menu-command is using is in the "SQL" tab of this window.  This is what I extracted later for testing the issue after the comments did not copy.
    Result: Table and data copied as-expected, but no column or table comments existed.
    I examined the PL/SQL block that the pop-up window issued, and saw this:
    declare
      l_sql varchar2(32767);
      c_tab_comment varchar2(32767);
      procedure run(p_sql varchar2) as
      begin
         execute immediate p_sql;
      end;
    begin
    run('create table "BI_ETL".WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1 as select * from "BI_ETL"."WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT" where '||11||' = 11');
    select comments into c_tab_comment from sys.all_TAB_comments where owner = 'BI_ETL' and table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT' and comments is not null;
    run('comment on table BI_ETL.WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1 is '||''''||c_tab_comment||'''');
    for tc in (select column_name from sys.all_tab_cols where owner = 'BI_ETL' and table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT')
        loop
       for c in (select comments from sys.all_col_comments where owner = 'BI_ETL' and table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT' and column_name=tc.column_name)
       loop
       run ('comment on column BI_ETL.WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1.'||tc.column_name||' is '||''''||c.comments||'''');
    end loop;
    end loop;
    EXCEPTION
      WHEN OTHERS THEN NULL;
    end;
    The string of the table comment on WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT is this:
    WBIG table of frozen, point-in-time snapshots of Enrolled Students by Category/term/pidm. "Category" is historically, and commonly, our CENSUS snapshot; but, can also describe other frequencies, or categorizations, such as: End-of-Term (EOT), etc. Note: Prior to this table existing, Census-snapshots were stored in SATURN.SNAPREG_ALL. All FALL and SPRING term records prior-to-and-including Spring 2013 ('201230') have been migrated into this table -- EXCEPT a few select prior to Fall 2004 (200410) records where there are duplicates on term/pidm. NO Summer snapshots existed in SNAPREG_ALL, but were queried and stored retroactively (including terms prior to Spring 2013) for the purpose of future on-going year-over-year analysis and comparison.
    Note the single quotes in the comment: ... ('201230')
    So, in the above PL/SQL line 11 grabs this string into "c_tab_comment", but then line 12 fails because of the single quotes.  It doesn't know how to end the string because the single quotes in the string are not "escaped", and this messes up the concatenation on line 12.  (So, then no other column comments are created either because the block throws an error, and goes to line 22 for the exception and exits.)
    When I modify the above PL/SQL as my own anonymous block like this, it is successful:
    declare
      c_tab_comment VARCHAR2(32767);
    begin
    SELECT REPLACE(comments,chr(39),chr(39)||chr(39)) INTO c_tab_comment FROM sys.all_TAB_comments WHERE owner = 'BI_ETL'   AND table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT'  AND comments IS NOT NULL;
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'comment on table BI_ETL.WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1 is '''||c_tab_comment||'''';
    for tc in (select column_name from sys.all_tab_cols where owner = 'BI_ETL' and table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT')
        loop
       for c in (select REPLACE(comments,chr(39),chr(39)||chr(39)) comments from sys.all_col_comments where owner = 'BI_ETL' and table_name = 'WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT' and column_name=tc.column_name)
       loop
       EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'comment on column BI_ETL.WE_ENROLL_SNAPSHOT_V1.'||tc.column_name||' is '||''''||c.comments||'''';
    end loop;
    end loop;
    EXCEPTION
      WHEN OTHERS THEN NULL;
    end;
    On lines 4 and 8 I wrapped the "comments" from sys.all_tab_comments and sys.all_col_comments with a replace command finding every chr(39) and replacing with chr(39)||chr(39). (On line 8 I also had to alias the wrapped column as "comments" so line 10 would succeed.)
    Is this an issue with SQL Developer? Is there any chance that the menu-items can handle single quotes in comment strings? ... And, of course this makes me wonder which other context menu commands in the tool might have a similar issue.
    Thoughts?
    thanks//jacob

    I know about quick drop, but it isn't helpful here. I want to be able to right click on a string or array wire, navigate to the string or array palette, and select the corresponding "Empty?" comparator. In this case, since I do actually know where those functions live, and I'm already using my mouse to right click on the wire, typing ctrl-space to open quick drop and then typing in the function name is actually more work than navigating to it in the palette. It would just be nice to have it on hand in the location I naturally go to look for it the first time.
    I don't agree with this work flow.  Right hand on mouse, left hand on home keys.  Pressing CTRL + Space is done with the left hands, and then you could assign "ea" to "Empty Array" both of which is accessible with the left hand.  Darren posted a bunch of great shortcuts for the right handed developer.

    This is much faster than waiting for any right click menu navigation, even if it is found in the suggested subpalette.

  • NSM 3 Problem with Quotas in Microsoft environment

    I have assigned quotas of 2GB for all my teachers. I am moving home folders from a Novell environment to a Microsoft environment. Files move, but somehow, the move process does not complete on some users. Although the home directory in AD only has about 1 GB in documents, the engine reports that the directory is full. When I look at the path analysis report for that user, it shows no available space. Even if I increase the quota with NSM quota manager, it still reports no available space.

    Hi, can you send an email to storagemanager"@"novell.com and we can get
    a remote session open to see if we can resolve this for you. Please
    send a Runtime Config report with the email. The Runtime config report
    is generated through the reports tab of the UI.
    Thank you,
    NSM TEAM

  • What are the things that need to be done before creating quote and order

    Hi guys
    We have installed ECC and just for testing purpose we want to enter some basic data starting from creating couple of customers, department, quote and order.
    Is there a simple way (steps) to follow.
    The reason for asking this question is that we don't know where to start.
    Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ram

    Hello,
    If your organisational structrues are perfect, then check with MM and FI team for their opinion. If everything is right, then create customers, maintain pricing condition.
    Try to create a sales order or quotation. Save it, check for any errors, rectify it, then proceed for delivery.
    Follow simple process first, pick the delivery and do the PGI.
    Create a billing document, and check it is posting correctly.
    This is one process cycle. analyse for errors and modifications.
    Prase
