Quotes Missing in Formulae in OBIEE 11.1.1.6.7
I just started a new project and was taken aback when the formulas of some columns in one of our environments had quotes missing from the folder names. For instance, "Customer"."Customer Name" shows up as Customer."Customer Name" and it works and can even be used in formulas without a problem.
I checked the XML and the columns that have this problem show up the same way there, so what I see in the criteria tab is faithfully reproduced.
Only some columns have this issue. If I remove and then add the same column to the formula again it shows up correctly.
I can remove the quotes from folders with no spaces in their names and that works, but if the folder has a space in it's name it doesn't work.
I can also add the quotes myself where they're missing and they will stay after I save.
I've been searching Google for any mention of this and have found nothing. I'm mostly just surprised that its not producing any problems at all that I can see. I wouldn't be inclined to think much of it except that non-conformity makes my eye twitch. Is this a known issue? If its known, is it even considered a problem given that it doesn't seem to disrupt functionality at all? If its mostly not a problem, is there a good reason (other than OCD) not to just let it stay this way?
Thanks for your time!
Jason
HI,
I know you already tried below method but it is working for me, could you please cross check.
Can you edit your dashboard prompt prompt and find show option then select SQL Result please modify statement like below.
Go--> Edit your prompt--> Show Option--> Select Choice List Values as --> Select Sql result---> change statement like above.
SELECT "tablename"."columnname" FROM "table" where "tablename"."columnname" is not null
OR,
Refer this thread might be helpful for you.
NULL Value in the prompt

Double quotes missing in CSV file but exist in text file from AL11
Hi I am sending a file to AL11 with one of the fields having double quotes Like "field value" . When i download into Text file i am seeing the quotes but not when download as CSV file from Al11. Any SAP notes for this . If i add multiple quotes ' """" ' to have in csv I am seeing more quotes in text file which is not accepted . Please reply if anyone worked on this before . Thanks Kamesh
The CSV file also has the quotes (check in notepad), but when opened in MS Excel, Excel has a feature to ignore double quotes and consider the comma inside the quotes as part of field, not as a field separator.

OBIEE Metadata utility export not showing view SQL
Kind of a random question, but want to make sure I am not missing something.
Using OBIEE 10.1.3.4, I run the Generate Metadata Dictionary utility. It gives me everything EXCEPT the SQL for views that we defined within the OBIEE admin tool. Instead it just calls them physical tables. Is there a way to see the SQL in the dictionary? I've combed through every file it generates, but it isn't there.Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
We used to view the log details (physical SQL) using Manage Marketing Jobs in OBIEE10g.
In OBIEE11g we can see the job details and when selecting a job (under Action column Details link) there is an option in left pane as 'View Log'. If I click on 'View Log' it is showing as 'No Logs Found'.
Just wanted to confirm if this is an issue in OBIEE11g.
Also, I believe there is a limitation in 'Manage Session' to view the number of job details whereas in 'Manage Marketing Jobs' section we can increase the number of jobs to be displayed.
Thanks,

Missing Template Handler Issues
Hi there, we're having some problems setting this up. We get
the custom page we've created but still see the default coldfusion
information..... Here's what we've done..
(1) Set the path correctly in the Coldfusion Admin >
Settings. 'Missing Template Handler'.
(2) Made the changes in IIS as described here...
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=95ee04fb&sliceId=1You are using CF8 right? Because it works just fine for me.
Here is what I did to test.
1) created a simple cfm template with nothing more than
<cfoutput>helloworld</cfoutput> and
saved it as missing.cfm in my webroot (
http://localhost/missing.cfm
2) logged into the coldfusion administrator and added
/missing.cfm into the box where it asks for the missing template
relative path.
3) hit submit changes.
then browsed out to
http://localhost/SomeStrangePageThatDoesntExist.cfm
and as expected saw only "missing"
The only thing I can think of is that you have in your
missing template page another cfinclude that is failing.
Try the above approach and see if you continue to get the
error. -
Used Acrobat 8 Standard the last 2 years without problems. Now cannot creat a PDF file in Microdoft Excel, get always "Missing PDFMaker file"
We are using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI with Office 2010 and we are getting this same issue on some systems, not all. I have tried the uninstall/re-install of both products to no avail. also tried checing the Add-ins in office but PDF Maker is not disabled, In the trust center in outlook, checked there and it is not disabled there, Manually registered the file pdfmofficeaddin.dll succesfully, but this did not fix the problem and tried running the repair function from programs and features. As I mentioned before, This is not on all systems, but it is on several.

Problem with 'MSN MoneyCentral Investor Stock Quotes' in Excel
I have been downloading quotes into Excel using the "MSN MoneyCentral Investor Stock Quotes" connection. On December 23, 2014, this connection stopped working
properly, now seems to be connecting to MSN homepage, and does NOT bring in the requested quotes. Do anyone have a solution or work around for this problem?Partial solution here:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/the_microsoft_excel_support_team_blog/archive/2014/12/11/forms-controls-stop-working-after-december-2014-updates-.aspx
As reported earlier, the %Change column is now 100 times larger than it should be.
I use the quotes in other pages of my Excel program as a basis for other Excel calculations. Some of the cells in my it-worked-before-the-December-update worksheet now show "#REF!" errors because
"MSN MoneyCentral Investor Stock Quotes" in Excel is not getting all of the quotes (missing
about 10% of the quotes I used to get). Each time it misses a quote, the missing quote causes all of the following requested quotes to move one row higher. That throws my whole spreadsheet off because references to cells in
"MSN MoneyCentral Investor Stock Quotes" now grab the wrong quote or the Terms of Use or copyright notice below all of the quotes.
It helps to remove any spaces from the quote parameters.
Use "amzn,wmt,cost", instead of "amzn, wmt, cost". -
"DBSL does not support extended connect protocol" while configuring SSFS
Hi, I'm trying to configure ssfs on ERP EHP7 on HANA Database system. Doing it with this guide - SSFS Implementation for Oracle Database
But when I'm trying to test connection with r3trans I got following error in the log:

Error while running EPMA Batch client in 11.1.1.3
I am using the following syntax to refresh a plannin app
Execute Deploy Parameters(ApplicationName,InstanceName,ApplicationServer,HubProject,waitforcompletion,purgeTransactions,deployOption,datasourceName,RefreshOutline) Values ('Appname','PLANNING','PLANNING','PLANNING','true','true',‘AppView’,DSNname','true');
but I am getting the following error message
Missing single quotes on the value " 'AppView','DSNname','true' "
I have checked the DSN name and I'm passing the correct parameter.
Would appreciate any help on this.
ThanksThere is a single quote missing on in your example in front of DSNName, here is a working example from 11.1.2.1 though it should be similar for your version.
Execute Deploy Parameters(ApplicationName, InstanceName, ApplicationServer, HubProject, ClearAll, CheckIntegrity, waitforcompletion, purgeTransactions, deployOption, datasourceName,CreateOutline,RefreshOutline,CreateSecurityFilters,SharedMembersSecurityFilters,ValidateSecurityFilterLimit) Values ('EPMASAMP', 'Default', 'Default', 'Planning', 'false', 'false', 'true', 'true', 'AppView', 'EPMASAMP','false','true','false','false','false');
Cheers

How do I associate the itms protocol to iTunes in Windows Vista?
Apparently when iTunes installed on Windows Vista it didn't properly associate the itms protocol. So when I click on a store link from a web browser it brings up an error in Firefox about the itms protocol not being associated with an application. Similarly a link in IE7 will just redirect to the iTunes download page.
How do I add this protocol in manually?Okay I too have been plagued by this problem on two different machines, 1 is vista Enterprise 32 bit and another is Vista Ultimate x64 bit, however both have the exact same problem. I just fixed the problem on my 32bit enterprise machine and I am assuming the same fix will work for my 64bit when I have time to try tomorrow.
If your problem is the same as mine, you are not able to access itms, itmss or itpc protocols from neither FireFox or IE under vista, this may apply to other windows OS versions but so far the majority seem to be vista.
First let me rant, I think it is a quality/permissions issue and is a matter of either apple not adding quotes in the 3 protocol registry entries or Microsoft not allowing apple the appropriate permissions to change those settings when you upgrade to a new version of iTunes. So none the less it is ridiculous no matter what the reason is and there is no excuse that something so simple has to be solved by Joe average and not resolved by either one of these companies.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
SOLUTION AS FOLLOWS:
NOTE: As always back up your system restore point and make a
copy of the registry or the sections of the registry
you are editing!!!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
You need permissions set to the following registry paths under
HKEYCLASSESROOT\itms\shell\open\command
HKEYCLASSESROOT\itmss\shell\open\command
HKEYCLASSESROOT\itpc\shell\open\command
You may not see these as you reset permissions and have to go as far as adding a new key under each registry key, then it will show you your newly added key (just delete) and then set the appropriate permissions to adminstrators group on each until you get down to the "command" key.
Then once you are in the command key edit the following string that should show
C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe /url "%1"
and change it to...
"C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /url "%1"
yes I know, ridiculous that it is a matter of quotes missing, but that is what fixed it for me.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Good luck!

Activated overlays color won't show in menus
I am using DVDSP4, I have 5 menus, the first is a video background, the others are jpegs. In the main (video) menu, i have three buttons with simple underlines as the overlays. When they are in selected mode...they are white...then if you activate one of them..they turn red, then you are taken to one of 2 video tracks...or a sub menu. When you are in the other 4 sub menus...the underlines are white when in select mode (just like the main menu)..but when you activate one of them, rather than turn red and go one of the chapters in the video track...the underline just disappears, then you go to the video track....I am trying to make it turn red (the activated color it is set at) before you are taken to the video chapter. Any thoughts?
Seemed to work just fine when I tested the code (with my .swf). Tested in Chrome, FF, IE, Safari.
Does your Chrome have the Flash plugin?
But a couple of things..
quotes missing here:
margin= 0, auto;>
Seems like you are trying to scale to exact fit?
#flashContent { width:100%; height:100%; }
<param name="scale" value="exactfit" />
Won't work with pixel dimensions for the .swf:
width="850" height="567"
and <center> tag... set W/H params to 100% and remove <center> if you want to scale to exact fit 100% W and H
Best of luck!

Why is the Amber update different for ATT and Chin...
Why is the Amber update different for ATT and China? For Lumia 520, it could tap to unlock but, in china, this function is disappeared disappear. Could you give an expain as the matching hardware, otherwise I think it's a definately discriminatory to Chinese.
Double tap to unlock is not available for any 520, anywhere in the world. See link below. You should always check first before making allegations.

I am passing the where clause as: 'APPAFIL'||' '||'APMAFIL'||' '||'NOMAFIL LIKE UPPER(rojas%)'Miguel Angel wrote:

I am passing the where clause as: 'APPAFIL'||' '||'APMAFIL'||' '||'NOMAFIL LIKE UPPER(rojas%)'So your where clause is
WHERE APPAFIL APMAFIL NOMAFIL LIKE UPPER (rojas%)Can you see why that's an error? It would make more sense if there was an operator between APPAFIL and APMAFIL, but then there's obviously something missing between APMAFIL and NOMAFIL as well, and some quotes missing later on.
The following is valid SQL code
WHERE APPAFIL != APMAFIL
AND NOMAFIL LIKE UPPER ('rojas%')Of course, I have no idea if that's what you want or not.
Whenever you have a problem, please post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements) for any tables used, and the results you want from that data.
if the problem involves parameters (such as the pv_where), then post a couple of different parameters, and the results you want from the same sample data for each parameter.
Explain how you get those results from that parameter and that data.
Always say which version of Oracle you're using. -

thanks!Seemed to work just fine when I tested the code (with my .swf). Tested in Chrome, FF, IE, Safari.
Does your Chrome have the Flash plugin?
But a couple of things..
quotes missing here:
margin= 0, auto;>
Seems like you are trying to scale to exact fit?
#flashContent { width:100%; height:100%; }
<param name="scale" value="exactfit" />
Won't work with pixel dimensions for the .swf:
width="850" height="567"
and <center> tag... set W/H params to 100% and remove <center> if you want to scale to exact fit 100% W and H
Best of luck!

Rogue HTML appearing in URL strings
This is really an odd one. I just installed Cold Fusion 8.
I've been running the monitor to see how things are performing. I
noticed a really odd error happening. Somehow, some standard HTML
from the web page is finding its way into the URL string that is
passed to the next page when a link is clicked. There is absolutely
no way that this html is being set as a variable anywhere. There is
no code in the template that should cause the HTML to appear on the
URL string. Yet its there.
We do have an app that does server-wide GZIP compression. I
thought perhaps it was corrupting the page somehow. I shut that off
but it didn't correct the problem. I ran an HTML validator to see
if perhaps there was a quote missing somewhere that caused this
oddity, but no dice.
At this point, I really think its some kind of bug that
happens in memory when the page is being rendered. Has anyone else
ran into anything like this?Warpuser,
Next time that happens, do a View Source on the page and you
will probably see more HTML and possibly even more Cold Fusion
messages you can use for diagnostics. Many times over the years
I've had partial pages display only to find out when I did a View
Source that there was all kinds of information that didn't show up
on the page. It may be enough to help you track down the problem.
Below is some HTML that appears within the head statements of
my page. Its just plain old html. Nothing special.
The Cold Fusion error I'm receiving basically indicates that
favicon.ico is being passed on a URL string from one page to
another. There is no possible way that this bit of HTML should
appear in a URL string. Its really weird. Nowhere is this HTML set
as a URL variable. -
How to use Servlet 2.4 with Netweaver Developer Studio 7.0?
Hello,
When I define my web.xml as follows:
<!DOCTYPE web-app version="2.4"
xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee
http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/web-app_2_4.xsd">
I get an error in french: "La DTD du type de lélément racine "" doit se terminer par '>'."
Saying that the DTD of type of root element must end with '>'
How can I solve this error?
Thanks for your help,

There is a " (double quote missing in the xsi:schemaLocation attribute. This is the reason. I am guessing that you may have tried manually editing this web.xml file and may not have correctly edited it.
To correct the <? xml ?> and <!DOCTYPE> tags - please openup a blank Web Module Project and copy these two tags only from the web.xml and overwrite the same tags in your web.xml.
Hope that this helps.
Thanks.
