First of all, this messase uses Japanese. Because I looks for the example of doing in Japan.
I'm sorry that it is displayed well by the person who is using English.

英語で掲載しようと思ったのですが、試しに日本語で掲載してみました。
日本語を使える人数は少ないので、レスポンスは期待できませんが･･･。
ただ、できれば日本語環境について事例が知りたいので、あえて、日本語を使います。
現在、R/3システムが46C(single code page),BWシステムが31C(non-Unicode)
なので、Unicode対応していません。
今後、R/3システムは、ERP6.0(Unicode)へVerUPを行なう予定なのですが、
その前に、BWシステムのサーバのリース契約が切れ、ソフト自体もサポートが
終わっているのでVerUPを行いたいと思っています。
そこで今後のシステムランドスケープをどのように取っていくのがBetterか
検討しています。
方法としては、
　①　BWをリプレイス、R/3VerUpをあとで行なう方法。
BW 3.1C(non-Unicode) → BI7.0(Unicode) as first
R/3 46C(non-Unicode) →　ERP6.0 (Unicode) as after BI (end of lease )
　②　サーバリースを延長して、R/3とBWのVerUPを同時に行なう方法。
R/3 46C(non-Unicode) → ERP6.0(Unicode)　
BW 3.1C(non-Unicode) → BI7.0(Unicode)　 as same timing
かと思うのですが、事例として紹介されているのは、
R/3のバージョンアップとUnicodeばかりで
BWの事例がなかなか見当たらないのです。
①のようにBWだけ先行してVerUpした方がリスクが少ないし、スケジュール的にも
楽だと思うのですが、どこかに事例とか経験談はありませんでしょうか？
R/3 46C(Non-Unicode)→BI7.0(Unicode)で行なっているような事例もあれば、投稿して頂けると助かります。

We're looking at transport strategy. We will have the same concept of a parallel landscape on DEV and QUAL systems to avoid any freeze during upgrade, as described in thread 'dual maintenance'.
- does the dual maintenance means 100% of changes applied in DS1 has to be 'manually applied to DSA? If not which one can be transported from 46C to ERP Unicode and which one need to be applied manually?
- how did everyone convert and maintain their ABAP? Some 7.0 functions are not available in 46C and vice-versa. Was the Unicode-enabling code changes applied in DS1 then transported to DSA? Did anyone use utility upload/dowload and if so, which case?
- how about programs created in DS1 after the DSA creation/upgrade. At that stage they are still non-Unicode? Was it converted then transported to DSA?

Try to minimize configuration as much as possible during the upgrade project, so the amount of dual-config shouldn't be that great. Unicode-enabling syntax changes, in your case, will have to be made in the DSA system since you are on 4.6 and I don't think UCCHECK is available in 4.6. Unless you want to scan your own programs for the common syntax problems. We actually used UCCHECK and corrected some programs in our legacy DEV system before doing the system copy/upgrade so that we did not have to do the re-work, but this was possible because we are on 4.7.
I would recommend creating any new programs manually in DSA, and in DSA turn on the unicode checks active flag. Try to freeze new development as much as possible during the upgrade to avoid this double-work, and to focus your resources on the critical upgrade project.

Inbound email update data in R/3 46C?

I know that Interactive Forms has the possibility of having an inbound email update data in R/3?
I also know that Interactive Forms is not possible with version 46C.
Can I get an inbound e-mail to update data in R/3 if I am on version 46C???

Table Maintenance View Generator - 46C to 60 compatibility
I think SAP changed the way it generated its View Maintenance Screens some time after release 46C such that view maintenance dialogs in 46C are maintainable in subsequent releases but that view dialogs created in subsequent releases are not compatible in 46C. This is my hypothesis.
Can someone confirm? Is there a way to revert 60 code to the way the dialog was generated in 46C?
The error in the transport log from a 60 system to a 46C system is:
"Field '<VIM_TOTAL_STRUC>' is unknown. It is neither in one of the specified"

You can use standard program RSWBO052 to change the package. Enter the object and mark the checkbox -> Execute -> Place the cursor in the object -> Right click mouse -> Reassign -> Enter new package -> Save.
or you can go to transaction SE80 -> Select Package -> Enter &TMP -> Hit Enter -> Find your object -> put the cursor and right click -> Other functions -> Object Directory Entry -> Change -> Change the package -> Save.

Error in Phase EXPORT of CU&UC Migration 46C to ECC60: ORA-00942

Hi,
We are making a 46C to ECC 6.0 upgrade EHP4 Stack 8.
We have migrated to the system ECC6.0 not Unicode. Now we're in the
process of Export to Unicode and we got the following errors:
(EXP) ERROR: failed DbSlExeRead rc = 103, table "/ BI0/PTCTUSERNM"
(SQL error 942) error message returned by DbSl: ORA-00942: table or
view does not exist
(DB) INFO: disconnected from DB
(EXP) ERROR: failed DbSlExeRead rc = 103, table "DFKKCOLFILE_P_W (SQL

We found that the 2 tables do not exist in previous 46C release but
exist in other systems with ECC6.0 release.
We found that, at least, DFKKCOLFILE_P_W table did not exist in our
system migrated not unicode.
We have reviewed the OSS Note 1156968 (Add. info. EHP on upgrading to 4
for ERP SAP ABAP 6.0) and we did not find a solution to our errors.
Is there a process or mechanism to put these tables in the system if
the migration process has not created them? or is it possible to ignore
these errors in the export and go on with the migration and fix the
tables when we are done with the migration? If we ignore these errors
will we encounter problems because of that?
Can you help us?

Hello, we have solved the problem.
To help someone with the same error, what we have done is:
1.- wait until all the processes has finished and the export is stopped.
2.- startup SAP
3.- SE14 and look up the tables. Crete the tables in the database.
4.- stop SAP
5.- Retry the export (if you did all the steps with sapinst running but the dialogue window in the screen) or begin the sapinst again with the option: "continue with the old options".

How to send html in an email (46C) using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1

I am having trouble sending an email so that it appears in HTML format, nice and pretty. I have been experimenting with FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 and ATTSEND_API1. I have been able to successfully send an email to myself (using an email address outside of SAP), but all I see is the html source code. If I set the DOC_TYP to "HTM", I get the error "Message cannot be processed as it cannot be converted.". Below is my sample code. Has anyone been able to do this in 46C ?

MSS isnt working in SAP R/3 46C

Hi Experts,
I needed some inputs and confirmation on some points. We have a SAP 46C HR Patch 52 as backend and i have installed MSS Business Package 6.01 and EP 60 SP14 and KMC SP14 and TREX 6.1.
But the MSS Iviews in Portals are coming blank. We have ITS 620 Version Patch 20? Do we need to configure JCo and if yes what patch level should we upgrade to ? Else how will we be able to see the data in the MSS Iviews ? an i have more inputs on the same?

Connect EP 6 SR1 to SAP R/3 46C. Is ITS needed ?

I'm trying to establish portal System connection to Sap R/3 46C. But the conncetion faild after pupulationg the fields.
I saw in the "test connection" options:
"SAP Web AS Connection", "ITS Connection", "Connection Test for Connectors", "Connection Test Through DQE"
Should I have ITS installed in order to establish the connection ?
If not, Which type of test I need to select ?

I solved it on my own. it seems that even though the "Test Connection" of the system did not work. The system setup was OK and it worked using the transaction iView.
However it is better to check the system through: system admnistration->support->sap application-> sap transaction

Https access to Sap Content Server 620 with R/3 46C

We are trying to access the Sap Content Server 620 via Https.
We do not want to administer it via HTTPS, (as we know CSADMIN doesn't support Https in rel. 46C as for note 712332). We want to do in way that the users when do check-in/out of originals these go across the
network using Https instead Http.
According note 712330 it should be possible.
Anyone already did it ?
Any suggestions ?

We do not know if the criptolibrary ha to be instyalled to the R/3 server to.
We do not know if the CA certificate instalelled on the Sap COntent Server web site has to be installed on the R/3 server too.

IDOC configuration in 46C for BI 7

Dear Experts
Is there a set of steps to create the idoc configurations in R/3 for data transfer between R/3 46C and BI 7?
After refresh, the idoc related configurations are lost and BI is unable to load from Source System R/3.

Hi Manish
We are using a standard IDOC called PROACT.PROACT01
(We are using transaction sa38(Report RSMIPROACT) in R/3 to send our IDOC.)
First we create the technical and business systems in SLD
Second we transfer these to the repository.(I think the only thing you need to do is to update the SLD cache to get them there - Design : Integration builder --> Environment --> clear SLD cache)
Then we just use the configuration wizard(Configuration : Integration builder --> Tools --> configuration wizard) to map everything together - defining sender and receiver etc(You get the configuration wizard tool by patching XI to patch level 4 or 5).
I assume that you have made all the configurations accordingly to the XI configuration guide which you can download from the service marketplace.
This is just a hint but maybe it can give you a start.

Upgrade from 46C to ECC 6

We are planning to begin technical upgrade in SAP, from 46C to ECC 6.0.
I have the next landscape:
-Current SAP (CS): SAP 46C with Oracle 8.1.7 and Solaris 8
-New Server (NS): Without SAP, 40% more of capacity, with Oracle 10.2 and Solaris 10 already installed.
We want to install SAP ECC 6.0 in NS and get the data from CS.
Which is the best and easy way to do this? SAP manuals are quite generic. I have two ideas but I would like your comments:
1st way
1. Homogeneous copy of CS
2. I install ECC 6.0 in NS with the option to import data generated in 1. (is this possible??)
3. Finish installation and aditional configurations. I begin to test.
2nd way
1. Homogeneous copy of CS
2. I install 4.6C in NS with the option to import data generated in step 1. (Not sure if 4.6C will accept Solaris 10 and Oracle 10.2).
3. I suppose I don't need to reconfigure after installation and import.
4. I do necessary tests. At this point I would have 46C on the new versions of Solaris and Oracle.
5. I begin the SAP upgrade to ECC 6.0 in NS
6. .... The remaining processes indicated by SAP

The database software is usually installed during the run of sapinst/R3setup, not before. You may run into problems if you pre-install Oracle (environment, necessary database options not set etc.)
The easiest way would be do to a system copy.
I would then
- install the latest Oracle instantclient
- install the latest kernel 46D_EX2 kernel

Short dump in MIGO and VL02N when upgrading from 46C to ECC 6.0

Hello,
We are doing an upgrade from R/3 46C to ECC 6.0 and we face a shortdump in trx MIGO (upon saving the document).
DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST
a BKPF_INSERT in program SAPLF005
The same shortdump happens when doing a Goods Issue on the SD side.
Looking at the program, this is not modyfied so I guess it is a standard SAP error.
OSS however, up to know did not respond to my message and there does not seem to be a SAP Note on this issue!
Anyone had this problem before. How did they solve it.

Line Color and color shadow in smartform with release 46c

Hi, we have a sap system release 46c.
We are developing a smartform, the smartform have a template with multiple box,lines and columns.
We want that the lines will be in one color and some of the box will be filled with a color.
Is possible have color lines in smartforms in release 46c ?
Is possible to fill a box with a color in a smartform in release 46c?

When you Creating Lines in Tables OR when you creating Templates in SMART FORMS,
You can specify FILL COLOR for each CELL/ROW/COLUMN of Table or Template.
For that you must choose Item(table/template) in Tree in smartforms.
Then you must choose Cell(s) which you want to color-fill, and then choose color from "Shadowing" OR "Shading" ("Оттенок" on Russina) color-menu.

Schedule payment run during night in 46c?

hi all-
I know that in 4.7 there is new function to schedule the payment run during the night with report RFF110S.
I'm looking for a way to schedule the payment proposal and the payment run itself during the night in 46c.
Any suggestions? Upgrade to 47 is not an option for now

In any system Background Scheduling is possible. ALso it can be scheduled anytime.
If it is a Periodic Scheduling then create a System Variant and assign it to the Prog RFF110S
If it is a one time scheduling then you can do it using Transaction SM37 using the Prog ID.
