R/3 Backend PO in SRM for Confirmation in Ext. classic scenario

Hi,
We are on SRM 4.0, Extended classic scenario
User created STO(Stock transport order) in backedn R/3(Not in SRM) and is visible in "Confirmation /GR services" in SRM.
But when user tries to do confirm it the items are not available and confirmation is not possible in SRM.
Is there anything missing in the system ? Please suggest
Best regards,
Sambit

it should be updated by running standard progarams which updated the status of the corresponding documents in R/3

  • SRM MM-SUS for Direct Material ( i.e. Ext Classic Scenario)

    Hi Friends,
We are planning to have the Classic Scenario in SRM 7.0  with  SUS. So it will be SUS-MM scenarion and it supports only for Classic Scenario,
But when there is a case of Direct Materials [ Manual or through PDP ( Ext Req) ], it is SAP by defaullt setting that , system determine Extended Classic Scenario.
Now , if SUS-MM supports only to Classic scenario ,then we can collaborate the Orders of Direct Material genereted through Ext Classic Scenario in SUS ?
Confused over these contrast . Can any one suggest that how to get both one in SUS-MM  ?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Alex,
    Thanks for reply.
It seems here is some confusion. PDP of Dircet Material is standard SRM secarion where we can soure the requieremnets generted in various SAP Module like PS, PM , SD, APO..etc. So We just hav eintenstion to source the requiermnet in Sourcing cockpit to create the PO .
Okay. For time being , forget the PDP of Direct Material.
Just take the Direct  Material ( For which we mention inventory or we procure for stock) only.
By SAP standard / defualt setting  , for Direct  Material , local PO is generted ,althoug we have mentioned Classic Senrion setting for the same . And it is Extended Classic Scenarion. Right!
At another side , it is SAP standrad that SUS-MM senarion support for only CLASSIC SCENARIO.
Then , my conern is  how we can send these Local orders for dircet Material to Supplier via SUS ? Wether it is not possible ?

  • Doubts in creation of PO for service PR in classic scenario

    Hi everyone,
I'm working with SRM 5.5 in a classic scenario.
    I have the following process:
    1. A PR for services is created in ECC (Item Category "D")
    2. The PR is transferred to SRM as SC
    3. A bid invitation is created in sourcing cockpit
    4. A bid is accepted
    5. A PO is created.
In the 5th step the PO is created locally in SRM. Is this the standard behavior?? Why is not created in R/3?
    Thanks,
    Ivá

  • Info Record Not Appearing for all materials in classic scenario.

    HI ALL,
I am working on Classic Scenario and all the follow-on documents are getting created properly. But the problem is With SOS. Currently i am able to view the info record for only one of my material, I am also referring backend contracts through vendor list. The contracts are visible in SOS.
Can somebody pls put a light as to why for other materials the info records is not displayed in SOS, is there a report which has to be run to get the info record into SRM from ECC. If not then how does the system bring these contracts and info record from ECC to SRM.
I am working on SRM 5.0 and ECC 5.0.

    Hi
    Please read this as well.
<u>You have created sources of supply. These could be:
-> Contract items in Enterprise Buyer
    -> Vendor-specific prices
For this, you have created Product Linkages in the SRM System with vendor-specific prices via the SAP Menu Master Data -> Products -> Process Products.
-> Entries in the vendor list of Enterprise Buyer
In Customizing you have assigned product categories to which the system is to automatically group requirements and you have scheduled report BP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED to run periodically.
For more information, see the Supplier Relationship Management Implementation Guide (IMG): SRM Server -> Sourcing ->  Define Interactive Sourcing for Product Categories.</u>
Sourcing is completely integrated with the global availability check in SAP APO and executes a vendor search. You can activate third-party order processing in the check instructions by choosing how you want the system to start sourcing and which sourcing method you want to use for it. There are two different options here:
&#9675;     If you want the products to be delivered exclusively by external vendors, the system performs sourcing directly at the external vendors without evaluating internal locations. For this, SAP APO requires corresponding purchasing records, delivery plans and contracts that are transferred from SAP ECC.
&#9675;     If you only want to have products delivered by external vendors occasionally, that is to say, if you are unable to deliver the product from your own warehouse stock, choose an ATP profile in which both internal and external vendors are evaluated. In this case, the external vendor is treated like an internal location in SAP APO, and is integrated into location determination in the rule-based availability check.
You can also choose the vendor manually. If you have already specified a vendor as the source of supply in SAP CRM, SAP SCM does not carry out any further sourcing. In this case, SAP SCM merely checks the validity of this vendor and confirms the requirement in its full amount if the vendor is valid.
For more information, see SAP Library for SAP SCM at SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO) -> Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP) -> Advanced Availability Check Methods -> Third-Party Order Processing in the Global ATP -> Sourcing in Third-Party Order Processing.

  • Creation of Inbound delivery mandatory for ASN process in classic scenario?

    Dear Experts,
We are going for classic scenario for our green field SRM implementation process. Our client is not using  ASN process in their existing MM process. However, they are now looking for an oppurtunity to enable Suppliers to trigger ASN using SUS. In such case, is creation of inbound delivery from Buyer side a mandatory process?
Is the below the process correct?
PO -> ASN (Supplier using SUS) -> Inbound delivery (Optional) -> Goods Receipt (Mandatory) -> Invoicing.
Here, I understand that Goods receipt can be verified against the PO or via Inbound delivery to PO. ASN will inform the store keeper in advance about impending goods receipt and smoothen the confirmation process.
Could you please comment on the above process? Could you please suggest the best practices followed here?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan
    Ranjan Sutradhar

    Hey Ranjan!,
    You are on track.
The process flow you have shown is true. ASN is available as a standard as part of the MM-SUS process. It makes the buyer aware of any delays in delivery or to make arrangements on shipping docks to receive goods on a said date etc.

  • Confirmations in the Classic Scenario

We are currently running SRM 4.0 and using the classic scenario to create reqs and POs in the backend system.  We want to do GR in SRM and have setup the central receiver role. Is there an ALE process that needs to be activated to see the list of POs in SRM?

    Hello Nancy,
Check whether you have done below config or not:
    1. Creation of Partner Profile using tran WE20 for Message type ACC_GOODS_MOVEMENT & MBGMCR
    2. Set up Ports under Transactional RFC using Transaction WE21.

  • SRM-SUS for Service Entry Sheets - Classic Scenario

    Hi SRM Gurus,
Our client wants to use SRM-SUS for the Service Entry Sheets (to being with and then later expand more in other SRM areas). The lead system will be R/3 system.
We will be going with ECC 6.0 and SRM 5.0.
Service Order will be created in R/3 and replicated into SRM (SAP have said this is new functionality in SRM 2007 and SAP will provide us with this functionality in SRM 5.0 as well)
SAP are also recommending using MDM for hosting the catalogs for service entry sheets to enable vendors to selete their items during the confirmation / filling the service entry sheets. - they say this is mandatory
SAP are also asking for XI for the data to be transferred from R/3 to SRM (and may be vice versa) - they say this is mandatory.
    Few questions:
    1) What kind of hardware size are we talking about to have SRM-SUS, MDM, XI and Portal (PI)
    2) Are MDM and XI mandatory as said by SAP and if yes, in what scenarios. What is they way around
    3) How good is the functionality provided by SRM-SUS for Services? Is it as good as in R/3 (or even better)? We will be having complex Services in our scnearios.
    4) What can be a typical time to install SRM-SUS, MDM, XI and Portal in the Dev environment to get moving onto the project?
An early response shall be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Rahul

    few answers to your questions
    1) what is the release of SRM  you want to work with?
    2) services in SUS is not available as standard , and will be provided by SAP as consulting up on request.
    3) for hardware requirements , please refer to the master guide for the srm release you will be working on -->
and also you can refer to the software component matrix in master guide --> to see if any component is mandatory..
    4) XI and MDM as far as i know is mandatory for SRM 6.0 and above , But in SRM 5.0 , XI is compulsory.
    5) so xi is mandatory in anyway in SUS as different systems are involved and therefore is required for routing the documents correctly.
    6) time for installation again depends on your supplier base , and your level of expertise.
    7) it is not always recommended to compare between two different systems , R/3 and SUS are different and so functionality will not be the same
    8) but as far as i know R/3 is stronger functioanlly..

  • Best practice for confirmation creation?

    Dear Experts,
I would like to have your opinion on best practices for confirmation creation in classic scenario. Whether most organizations  prefer to create confirmation in SRM or ECC? One advantage of confirmation creation in SRM is that you can avail different workflow scenario, while ECC MM does not support any workflow or release strategy for confirmation/goods receipt.
Your input on it will be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ranjan

    Hi Ranjan,
As far as best practice for confirmation creation goes , it should be decided by who is the goods recipient , what access the goods recipient have and  and what type of material it is , direct or indirect ..
Ideally  for most of Indirect procurement where requestor is creating a cart for himself or his department and would be reciving the good/ service himself , he/she should do the confirmation in SRM.
In case of direct material definitely GR  need to be done in the ECC.
    Thanks

  • Output(print out) in SRM for backend PO in Classic scenario

    Hello,
My requirement is to take print out for the backend PO created thru shopping cart in classic scenario.
i know for extended classic scenario Actions works as in that case PO is created locally and then replicated.
But in the classic Scenario where the PO is in backend, can we take print out in SRM becasue the detials of that Po is available in SRM to in Fllow up documents in SRM 5.0.
is there any standard way available to achieve that.
    Thanks
    Robin

    Hi Sarabjeet,
It does not make sense to print PO from SRM in classic scenario because there is no PO in SRM at all !
In classic scenario, PO is created only in the backend.
Only shopping cart is created in SRM.
    Kind regards,
    Yann

  • Complex workflow  for  confirmation

    Hi All,
We are running on SRM 5.0....We are implementing the Classic Scenario.....wherein once the SC is created in SRM ..the follow on docs...starting with Pur Req...are created in the Backend.
Also in the confirmation process,i need to do a two level approval workflow where the Goods Receipt(MIGO) will be done in R/3(Event for WF) and once this is done in Backend,a mail should go to the requestor in SRM who will then do the 2nd level approval.
Can anyone please tell me if any std WF can be used for this???? Also any suggestions on licensing???
    Regards,
    Disha.

    Hi Vadim,
We  are running on SRM 4.0 and  the Classic  scenario.
Is it that  the  Std WF  for confirmation works  only if the GR  is  done  in SRM????
Also,if we implement the Alert Management for the Confirmation WF,then how  do i ensure/what settings  will be required so that only after confirmation by the Requestor in SRM,the invoice is created in the Backend?? Becaue ,I went through the Documentaion for Alert Mgmt hcih says  that,
" The following are not incorporated in Alert Management:
Feedback to the triggering application. It is possible to model feedback to the application, such as confirming that a subsequent activity has been executed, using SAP Business Workflow. " which was actualy a bit confusing!
We are not able to analyse which workaround will meet  our requirements exactly? Can you suggest something for this???
    Thanks n regards,
    Disha.

  • Custom movement type for Confirmation

    Hi All,
In my system, consultants previously worked here have designed some new movemet type for confirmations. But I couldn't understand where this movement type is assinged. I couldn't contact them. Can you please help me in understanding the setup?
while doing confirmation, it would post a GR document in backend with mvt type 101. But for return deliveries, instead of 122 it is posting through a custom mvt type xxx. I could see this mvt type in the IDOC generated in SRM. But couldn't find where it is assigned.
Can any one please guide me to explore this?
    Thanks.
    ss

    HI Ganesh,
I could see this custom mvt type in backend (OMJJ). But I couldn't understand how SRM will know this mvt type? I believe the assignment should be somewhere in SRM , beacsue we are not assigning any such thing in ECC.
When do a confirmation in extended classic scenario, IDOC would be first generated in SRM system, which would generate another IDOC in ECC. I could see this mvt type in SRM IDOC itself.
Is there a FM or BADI for this? Or could this be configured in IDOC types? We are using the standard IDOC type MBGMCR and basic type MBGMCR01.
    Thanks,
    ss

  • PO output for Extended classic Scenario from the R/3 backend

    Hi,
    1) Does the PO output (ignoring the config maintained in SRM server 5.5 for the output) through R/3 backend is standard or it is mandatory to give local outputs from SRM only incase of Extended classic scenario?

  • SRM for customer with some SAP compenies and some non SAP companies

    Hello Experts,
I am working on a tender to a customer. This customer wants to have SRM in 5 countries (own company codes).
This customer have SAP in 3 of these companies and some other accountings system in the two others.
Is it possible to set this up in one SRM client where you have 5 orgnanisational nodes under the the top node and each of these nodes are one company code?
And then you assing one backend system to each of these nodes. Classic Scenario for the nodes representing the companies that run SAP and Standalone for the others.
Plan is to set up MDM where all companies can shop from
Are there any pitfalls in a solution like this?

    GAR

    Hi,
You need to define 5 organization nodes with SYS and ACS attributes.
Multi backend system configuration is supported in standard. It should not be a problem.

  • Extended classic scenario in SRM 7.1

    Hi colleagues,
we want top use SRM 7.1 with extended classic scenario and we want to create POs in SRM and reflect them in ERP backend. The question is it possible somehow to change those POs aftewards (e.q. add confirmations, transportation costs, etc...) in ERP? Or is there any way to trasnfer POs in hold status from SRM to ERP and then change them in ERP?
    Thanks and regards, Anton

    Hi Anton,
PO is created a in SRM as local and a copy( copy does not contain the entire PO info, only the useful for the backend) is being sent to R3.
DO NOT try to search a workaround for modification in the backend..sooner or later you will be incurring in incosisnten data and misalignmentes.
SRM is the PO golden source.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Abraham
