R/3 Datastore Language Locale

Hi All,
We created a R/3 Data Store, after creating the data store we saw only below languages under Locale Attribute R/3 Language drop down box.
E- English,
D-German,
F-France,
J-Japanese,
But my requirement need more languages like Chinese, Hebrew, Korean, Portugese, Arabic,... etc other than listed above.
Are there any settings in BO Data Services? to acheive this... If so please let us know.
Please help us ASAP.
Thanks,
Ashok

Here is the format of my lookup:
lookup(DS_SAP_BS..HRP1905, BANKKEY, '', 'PRE_LOAD_CACHE', OBJID, '50002918')
I get the following error when trying to validate the dataflow:
[Query:qry_SAP_LOOKUP]
Invalid mapping expression for column <qry_SAP_LOOKUP.LOOKUP_COL>. Additional information: <Cannot parse expression.
SAP table <HRP1905> in datastore <DS_SAP_BS> cannot be used in a lookup.. (BODI-1112351)>. (BODI-1111081)

  • Unattended wds client setup - language/locale page is still displayed

    Hi
    I am running WDS in Windows Server 2008 R2. I have created an WDS Client answer file to automated first screen (UI Language/Locale page) and disk partitioning. However, I still get the first UI Language/Locale selection page. automated disk configuration
    works just fine.
    I have further noticed that if I include <Login> section and automated user/password/domain portion, it doesn't display UI Language/Local  page!
    I just want to see the Login page and Image selection page.

    AdaS_VZW,
    I'm not sure if the area has been surveyed; it's a large group of apartment buildings about a within a couple miles of Dulles International Airport in Northern Virginia, so I would imagine that it probably has, but I'm not sure. How would I find out?
    I understand that the Network Extender does not support LTE connections (I know there are two models, the 1x-only and 3g, both made by Samsung - I have the 3g model, SCS-2U01). I know that it can support a 3G data connection, but that should be irrelevant - I'm always connected to my wifi network in my apartment.
    What's particularly vexing, however, is that both a Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Nexus in my apartment (the other lines on my account) do not seem to have this issue. While I haven't done so with the S4, the Nexus exhibits this problem when my SIM is in it - and again, this is a fresh SIM from just a few weeks ago.
    I'm currently trying to disable Mobile Data when in the apartment to see if that will make it more stable. I'll post in a day or two with results from that.

  • Setting a  Language/Locale to PortletlRenderRequest

    Hi,
    I would like to set the language/Locale of the PortletRenderRequest depending on the user input.
    e.g. if user enters "fr",then the language/locale of PortletRenderRequest should be modified so that resource bundle specific to that locale is picked and data displayed.
    Pls let me know,how can I achieve this?
    Regards
    Yash

    Thanks Tugdual,
    I have a portlet that display some text and I have some resource bundles for displaying the text in different languages. I ave followed the instructions in the following doc
    http://portalstudio.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/PDK/ARTICLES/HOW.TO.BUILD.A.MULTI.LANGUAGE.JAVA.PORTLET.USING.PDK.JAVA.V2.HTML
    Now i would like to test the same by specifying different languages.
    If I were to write a method to get the locale from the user and display the content accordingly,how would i do it??
    pls let me know where can I get the setLanguage portlet mentioned in the doc whose URL is specified above.

  • Is it possible to have English as the interface language, but use (and develope for) any other language/locale?

    Before installing Firefox, I need to clarify the following:
    The use of locales: I am a developer and my preferable language, for the interface, is English (though, it is not my mother tongue). But, I would like to be able to use any other language (including, the use of any dictionary) and develop for any language or locale. So, does the English version let me do the above mentioned?
    Or, eg, do I need to install the Hebrew locale, if I want to use the Hebrew dictionary?
    Or, is it possible to install different locales on the same computer (and for the same user, in Win XP)?

    You can install any dictionary is every locale, so that shouldn't be a problem if you use the English locale.
    If you want to check out the user interface or how the browser acts with an RTL locale like Hebrew then you need to install the language pack and switch to that locale.
    You can install additional language packs in any Firefox version.

  • Change InfoView language (local) from URL

    Hi Everyone,
    We have a portal and in the portal we can click on a url to access InfoView. But in case the user change the local on the portal to view in another language like Chinese and when he/she clicks on the url to access InfoView. InfoView will display in English for Ex.
    Do we have any way to put the local to the url of InfoView to change the local of InfoView. I know we can do it in the Preference but now my manager want to change it via a URL.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anh Phan

    Hi VS,
    thanks a lot for helping me here and sorry for delay in responding. I tried the solution provided by you. I developed one one view with a combo box & a button. And another view with just a sample text view. In the next view I duplicated the view.xlf file and pasted with _de.xlf extension for german. I copied your code snippets into wdDoModifyView and in the onActionGo methods. But after that when I select Deutsheland from the list box and press Go - nothing happens. The plug is also not firing. Most probably due to the forced log off. I also tried having some text in the first view itself and creatring _de.xlf file for the same. But didnt work. Its still picking the default english language text only. Can you please guide where I am doing wrong here?
    Also - is it possible to have the same functionality without the combo box but from a URL parameter? My current application is integrated in portal. So I type in mycompany.com as the url. Now if I type in mycompany.com?locale=DE will I be able to get the value and process it as you mentioned from the combo box value? Please guide.
    Regards,
    Shubho

  • Change the language (locale) of the Portal

    Hi everybody,
    I have to implement internationalization in my Portal.
    I do it throws bundle resources in my iview and throws Portal Content Translation for workset name.
    But now, I need to implement a iview in which there are 3 flag (english, french and german for example) and when a user clicks on one of these, this changes the Portal language.
    Do someone know how I can do that?
    I think I have to change the locale of the session on the button clic but I don't find how to di that ..
    Thanks,
    Fabien

    > Hey i used "if(language.equals("EN"))" coz some times
    > there is the need to implement all the languages say
    > English, german, etc...
    Of course it is, this is the whole sense of a ResourceBundle...
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/util/ResourceBundle.html
    In portal components it's even simpler, just declare the bundle in the portalapp.xml and read strings as described here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/97/cd1e400191f72ee10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    What Fabien needs, is a component placed on the framework page that changes the user's locale.
    This is an example coding to change the language to french:
    public void doContent(IPortalComponentRequest request, IPortalComponentResponse response)
    try {
    IUserMaint mutableUser = userFactory.getMutableUser(request.getUser().getUniqueID());
                mutableUser.setLocale(Locale.FRENCH);
                mutableUser.commit();
    } catch (UMException e) {
    // TODO Auto-generated catch block
    e.printStackTrace();

  • Language/Locale specific text search

    We have a requirement for locale specific search. So when the user searches for anything in a particular locale it should only return the rows applicable in that locale. Have tried the language parameter in the query text but it is also returning the english rows if it finds the word in the english text. So, is there a way to be able to search only the specific locale using the language parameter so that we can use the stoplist functionality.

    Hi,
    you should use lexer which (BASIC_LEXER, MULTI_LEXER, ...) you need. Please see too this procedure ctx_ddl.add_sub_lexer in Text Reference.

  • Question re: man page languages & locales

    Looking thru my /usr/share/man & /usr/share/locale filesystems, i have numerous files and directories containing virtually every language in existance, and i only need English support. Are these really necessary and if not, why does Arch/DE's install them in the first place? I have tried out KDE & XFCE on a virgin install of Arch, so these would be the main culprits.
    TIA

    Thanks for the reply. So, even if i'm the only user i still have all these language directories and files  installed by default? Why do we go thru the locale setup during install if this is the case? Just curious.

  • Administration Tool 11g Language / Locale

    Hi, I would like to know how can I change the Admistration Tool Language in BIEE 11g. It is currently in portuguese, but I want it in English.
    Thank you.

    Hi, I changed all entries in the registry, but it did not work.
    However I erased the AdmintoolPTB.dll (which is for Brazilian Portuguese) and it worked.
    I guess this is not the correct way, but I will use it for the time being.
    Thank you very much for the response!

  • Switch language locale by a link

    Hello,
    We have a requirement to allow a portal user to switch the langauge by clicking on a link for either French or English.
    Everything works fine today if you select the desired language in your browser profile and the proper content is displayed,
    but we would like to have that option for them to switch the language either on logon page or within an applicatin.
    Does anyone know if it is possible to select the language on the portal:
    -     Either on the login page by a link (is there something available in config tool)
    -     Programmatically in webdynpro u2013 where the user would be able to select English or French via a link or button
    -     Any way to allow user to set the language on personalization somewhere on a page/iview?
    Thanks for your help.

    Alex,
    I don't think it is possible dynamically change... not sure. But if Language is specified for Portal Users (UME) this will override browser or you don't have to change browser language.

  • JDBC ODBC bridge for MS Access - language/locale problems

    Hi,
    I have an application that uses a MS Access database.
    I have a user in Turkey that is experiencing the following problem:
    My Java app requests for example the following query:
    select name from activitiesThen I get the following error:
    java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]
    The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find
    the input table or query 'ACTVTES'.
    Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly.Apparantly the character 'i' is replaced by '', how can I avoid this?

    Hi,
    I was looking for something in that direction.
    When I start the db connection using charset="Turkish" i get the following error:
    # An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:
    #  EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x6d6cb0b2, pid=4480, tid=5000

    #Is this because my MS Access does not recognize the charset?
    What should I use if I don't pas the 'Turkey' argument, just 'utf-8'?

  • How i can find user locale/language from his/her request header ?

    Hi
    thank you for reading my post
    what is request header field that shows user agent language/locale ?
    is there any http header value that shows user locale/language ?
    if yes , how i can extract it ?
    thanks

    Certainly there is.
    http://www.w3.org/Protocols/HTTP/HTRQ_Headers.html#z12
    The header is "accept-language"
    You can get it via
    request.getHeader("accept-language");
    You can use request.getHeaderNames() to give you an enumeration of all the headers sent by the browser, so you can see them and the values.
    Here is an extract from a test page I use every once in a while that prints out useful information. This bit prints out request headers (using JSTL)
    You can just drop it into a jsp page (don't forget to import the JSTL tag library) and it will show you all the request headers.
    <h3>Headers </h3>
    <table>
    <c:forEach var="h" items="${header}">
      <tr><td><c:out value="${h.key}"/></td><td><c:out value="${h.value}"/></td></tr>
    </c:forEach>
    </table>Cheers,

  • International Language Support - locale

    Under Solaris 8 I install many international language locales. These included packages 32 and 64 bit versions, such as: SUNW5lue, SUNWweuos.. I install over 100 different locales, many double byte, for Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Latvian and many others.
    I am unable to find these packages for Solaris 10. I have the Language CD but they are not there.
    Where can I find these locales?
    Thanks

    It sounds like there are really two sets of questions here. First, how do you configure Workshop Studio to accept a project that doesn't conform to a WAR/EAR structure? Second, how do you develop localized Struts web apps in Workshop Studio?
    The current version of Workshop Studio works best with one web application per project in more of a WAR structure. When AppXRay analyzes the project it searches for the WEB-INF/web.xml and tries to establish the webroot. Most likely the /web-common folder is your webroot and the /web-?? folders are not being validated. The next release of Workshop Studio is much more flexible in types of project layouts that it will accept and validate. Based on the information you have already provided about the project, this should work well with the new enhancements.
    Regarding developing the international sites, have you considered taking advantage of Struts resource bundles as a means of managing localization? Without knowing more about the project its hard to tell if this is possible. If the localized pages basically identical, I can imagine anytime you want to make even a small change to these pages it could turn into a labor intensive process.
    Fortunately, Workshop Studio simplifies development of Struts/JSF resource bundles and localization. The JSP design views render resouce bundle values on the fly. AppXRay provides code completion for resource bundle keys at the page level, provides hyperlink navigation to the resource key definitions, and validates usage against the property file definitions. You can also switch the rendering to a different locale in the IDE through the Text menu -> Resource Locale.. option. At that point all of your interactions would update the property file for the selected region.
    To see more of this in action, check out the Struts flash demo on Dev2Ddev http://dev2dev.bea.com/downloads/StrutsDemo/StrutsDemo.html
