R/3 ISA B2B:  Catalog Views

Hello experts in the group,
I need to create catalog views for R/3 ISA B2B application. I have to use cross division 00 to handle multiple sales areas and I want to address these divisions using catalog views. I already have one of the four product catalogs that we would need, in place.
I have tried to use followed SAP Notes:
696095: ISA R/3 4.0: Collective note on Catalog Views
695978: How to create function modules for ISA R/3
677319: Coding sample assignment of customers to views
677320: Coding sample catalog item assignments to views
610393: Example for using catalog exit after read
and
Note 837119, that was referenced by SAP Help but I could not find.
Problem is, despite spending all that time and effort, I am not able to make much headway here. I would really appreciate if someone could help me out here and tell me how to create a catalog view. I needs to reference this catalog view to a few layout areas and items in the product catalog, and then assign it to a webshop where a customer (who has access to the web shop) can see only these products that are contained in the view.
Thanks in Advance,
Biren Bugati

Hi Biren,
I simply went to t.code SRMO (Search Server Relation Monitor) and went to <i>Index Category (index)</i> tab. There I searched for all indexes and painstakingly deleted each one, one by one by clicking "Delete Category." I'm not sure if this is the right way to do it, but it worked in the end. After deleting all indexes when I executed ISA_CAT_REPLICATION tcode, instead of error code 2007, I saw a green indicator light, and "No documents in deletion pending status" text.
The TrexAdmin tool that I am using is Python based and delivered with TREX itself. Its in /sap/usr/trex<instance_number>/python_support/TrexAdmin.py
You can find more info about how to launch and use this tool here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/3f/d4ae0fc46e1d1ee10000000a114cbd/frameset.htm
Hope this helps.
By the way, I didn't know about ISA_CAT_REPL_DELETE and TREXADMIN tcodes. Do you have a list of all ISA-relevant tcodes?

• Changing ISA Product Catalog VIEW ITEMS Dynamically - Read COMM_PCAT_VITM

Hi,
I need to change the ISA Product Catalog Items Dynamically. Depending on certain criteria, after the user logs into the ISA, the items in a User VIEW needs to be filtered.
I found that the View Items are stored in table COMM_PCAT_VITM. Also after Debugging ISA, I found that the following FUnction Module is used to read the View details : COM_PCAT_VIEW_GETDETAIL_O
However I did not find which FM is used to read the VIew ITEMS .. that is Table COMM_PCAT_VITM.
If I can find the FM, I can enhance this FM to filter the Items Dynamically...
Second Question is ...whats the GUID field in the Table COMM_PCAT_VITM ?
Thanks

Hello WDA Portal,
In the ISA, the catalog search and display list are done through RFC calls to TREX directly. Only the attribute names and product detail are read from theCRM system. So, if you are trying to manipulate the Catalog search and results, you have to do it in the Java layer only.
You have to extend / modify the web flow and work with the following classes.
<li>Catalog Business Object,
<li>WebCatInfo,
<li>CatalogFilterFactory,
<li>IFilter,
<li>WebCatItemList,
<li>IQueryStatement,
<li>IQuery
<br>
The enhancement is not for the faint hearted. You must have a development environment setup and you must have good developers with you to do this type of stuff.

• ISA catalog viewing restrictions in a B2B scenario

Hi,
We are implementing ISA for our B2B customers to order marketing material via internet.
Does anyone know or have implemented security controls to restrict viewing and ordering of product catalog at node level.
So when customers logs into ISA from web he/she should only be able to see and order the section of catalog that they have access to.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Junaid!
I'm actually working with something similar at the moment - haven't implemented it yet but looked at it. There is a possibility of restricting what items a customer can see in the product catalog by creating specific catalog views.
Check out the following SAP notes:
696095 - Collective note on catalog views
677319 - Coding sample assignment of customers to views
677320 - Coding sample catalog item assignments to views
695978 - How to create function modules for ISA R/3 Edition
These solutions are based on that you use TREX.
Hope this will help you!

• ISA Catalog Views B2B

Hello Experts,
I have created three catalog views & assigned a set of BP for each view.
I assigned each view to a different webshop. I want to restrict these webshops to only the BPs those were assigned to that view.
But users who are not included in that particular view are also able to view the catalog.
Could anyone help me out in restricting the users.
Thanks in  advance.
Cheers

Hi Gudladona,
Regarding your first problem I suggest you check:
1. Updated Support Package CRM, IPC and SAPJ2EE
2. I have similar problem before and please check
       following SAP NOTES:
       - 528671 Missing views during the catalog
       - 598285 Catalog determination: sold-to catalogs
       - 509248 Displaying invalid product catalogs/variants
       - 660795 Missing category description in catalog of
       - 696095 ISA R/3 4.0: Collective note on Catalog
Which CRM version are you? Use Internet Sales for
R/3?
Just some clarification (may be you already know these):
1. Even you use Catalog Search setting in ShopAdmin,
       you still need to maintain/enter the Catalog and
       Catalog Variant (don't leave it blank).
2. Webshop will only shows product assign to Catalog
       with match BP ID in Catalog View. The webshop will
       verify this when you select the SOLD TO PARTY in
       webshop (so webshop will not verify against user
       id).
Restriction webshop for specific user can be done, by
setting Authorization Group in ShopAdmin (when creating
webshop). You define authorization group and use this
in user authorization object CRM_ISA_SP.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you still need more info.
Cheers,
Gun.

• ISA B2B/B2C OCI Integration

Hi All,
       My requirement is to use an External Catalog from ISA B2C using the OCI. I have got to the point where i can call the external catalog using the OCI. But when i try to get back to ISA Shopping basket from the external catalog, I get 'Session Expired/Invalid' exception. I tried with B2B, still the same exception. Could someone please let me know whats missing.
Greatly appreciate all the help!!
Thanks,
      Vishal.

There are no packaged solutions available for this. SAP CRM E-Commerce is very closely integrated to CRM or R/3 backend system.
Please refer to the following thread SAP CRM and Magento and check the replies by The specified item was not found.
Since Magento is PHP based, you must know how to integrate the PHP based Magento to any SAP system using the RFC integration. Refer to this article in SDN - [Integrating SAP with PHP|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a5d5b6f6-0301-0010-4fae-f3b91bcfd642]
The simplest scenario will be to capture the order in Magento and then create in the SAP system (say R/3 backend) for further processing of the order.
But there are more complex things that you may need to bring to the table before taking this route.
1. Product master is the source for product catalog item details - you don't have to maintain them separately. Catalog maintenance will easily become a nightmare if your product master is not directly related to the catalog. With Magento, you will end up developing many new interfaces to synchronize the SAP product / material master and the Magento catalog.
2. Catalog product pricing - one pricing every where if you use SAP solution. With Magento, you have to find a solution of how to synchronize the price - as what is seen by the customer in the web and what is being processed in SAP.
3. Customer specific pricing and catalog views
4.Product availability
Bottom line. If you / your customer already has SAP platform, why would one go through all the pain to loose the integrated solution?
In my opinion, compared to the effort required for Magenta to SAP integration, fixing the SAP E-Commerce UI is a much simpler approach.
But if you are trying to develop some packaged solution, then, spend your time and productize the solution.

• ISA Product Catalog Images Problem

Hi,
I am having problems displaying the images in the ISA B2b product catalog. I have already set the image in CRM and replicated the product catalog. But the images still wont display in the product catalog. It displays an x inside a box. And the path does not exist.
Please help. Is there a guide that you can send me on how to do this? Please send it to [email protected] Or please just give suggestions on how to do it.
Thanks a lot!
April

Images don't display in B2B using the port.  You have to view via CRMWEB if you want to see the images.

Also, it's better to ask a new question rather than bump an old unanswered one as you can not award points to someone elses question (I think)

• Creating Catalog Views

Custom Development of Catalog Views.
We are in the process of customizing the items that are available to a
user in a B2B scenario. We have gone through a the notes 696095(ISA R/3
4.0: Collective note on Catalog Views), 677319(ISA R/3 4.0 : Coding
sample assignment of customers to views),677320(ISA R/3 4.0: Coding
sample catalog item assignments to views), but haven't been able to tie
everything together. The following are our concerns:
1> How to assign each customer to a view at runtime ?
2> Do Catalog Views have to be created manually before assigning each
customer @ runtime ? If yes, How do we go about creating them ?
Thanks for the help.
Regards,
Jaleel Syed.

Hi Shweta,
Iam currently working in CRM 5.2 version and ECC 6 as backend.  Request you to help me out.
DETAILS
Sales org. - 1000
Dist. channel - 10 (Dealer) & 20 (Distributor)
Division - A B C D E F
i have a scenario wherein my B2B customer has five sales areas:
1000 : 10 : A
1000 : 10 : B
1000 : 10 : C
1000 : 20 : D
1000 : 20 : E
Which means B2B customer is a dealer for divisions A,B & C and distributor for divisions D & E.
How do i control my B2B customer to stop viewing and ordering from D & E when he is a dealer and as well as i should stop him from viewing and ordering A, B & C when he is a distributor.
Anyways i have created two shops, one for dealer and one for distributor.  When he enters dealer shop he should not see D & E wherein he is a distributor.  When he enters distributor shop he should not be able to see A,B & C divisions.
Request you to let me know the steps involved in this.  And also please let me know if he enters the dealer shop and directly punches the materials of D & E in the sale order what happens and how to restrict the order from saving.
Please do the needful ASAP as iam struck in middle of a project.

• Error Message in ISA B2B.

Hi Gurus,
I need a help to make the following. I have changed the message type "Product is not in the entered catalog/variant " from Warning to Error. But now I need for this message to have the same behaviour as message "The Product is blocked for ordering" (when the status of the product is set to blocked), because I need - in the shopping basket - not to display the pricing whenever the message comes out.
I have realized that the Blocked error message doesn't calculate the pricing, therfore I want to have the same behaviour for both the Messages.
can you help?
thanks a ton

Hi Lakshman,
I mean some data check before order save - for example, I need to display an error message if for given delivery type total quantity of products exceed maximum possible value for this product & this delivery type.
But what is really important - it is how to check ISA B2B Webshop Order data only after I press "Save" button (only once - before save), not every time when I'm pressing ENTER, for example.
Could you give me some advice what ISA* Badi method do I need to use?
Thanks.

• Calling New Function Module from JAVA ISA b2b

I need to call a new function module which accepts some parameters as input and
returns some result parameters back as output.
These returned value needs to be displayed on the JSP pages of ISA B2B applications.
Can someone please guide me and provide code snippet on how to do this?
Thanks in advance.
Points will be awarded for all relevant and helpful answers.

Stride,
I did this on CRM ISA 4.0...  I used the dev and extension guide as a basis - I think the ISA 5.0 guide has the examples and tutorials in a separate document that can also be downloaded from service.sap.com.
Here’s some info on how to do it although I can't guarantee this is the full solution or that it will work the same for ISA 5.0, and I will probably forget a lot of stuff as its been a few years since I did it!  I also can’t guarantee it is the correct way to do it – but it worked!  Basically, we built a link into the order overview page to display url’s to order tracking websites using an RFC on the backend CRM system.  Hope it helps anyway.
1. Create RFC enabled function module in backend.
2. Edit file backendobject-config.xml in folder project_root\b2b_z\WEB-INF\xcm\customer\modification:-

                        log.config("ao.b2b.order.error.getOrderTrackingURLs", bex);
              return backendAOBasket;
This method is needed when a business object has a corresponding
backend object.
         public void setBackendObjectManager(BackendObjectManager bem)
              this.bem = bem;
Returns a vector of url links for tracking
@return vector of urls
         public Vector getOrderDeliveryTrackingData(String orderNo)
              // the call is delegated to the CRM aware backend object
              return getCustomBasketBackend().getOrderDeliveryTrackingData(orderNo);
4. Edit file config.xml in folder project_root\b2b_z\WEB-INF to add custom actions (the section below is just the custom stuff added at the end of the file – the Z_orderTracking is the relevant one) :-
<!-- Begin of custom AO action definitions -->
         <action path="/b2b/Z_orderTracking" type="com.ao.isa.order.actions.Z_OrderTrackingAction">
              <forward name="success" path="/b2b/order/Z_orderTracking.jsp"/>
         </action>
         <action path="/catalog/Z_displaySVGPage" type="com.ao.isa.catalog.actions.Z_SVGPageAction">
              <forward name="success" path="/catalog/Z_SVG_fs.jsp"/>
         </action>
Which points at Java file com.ao.isa.order.actions.Z_OrderTrackingAction.java which looks like this :-
package com.ao.isa.order.actions;
// internet sales imports
import com.sapmarkets.isa.core.BaseAction;
import com.sapmarkets.isa.core.UserSessionData;
// struts imports
import org.apache.struts.action.ActionForward;
import org.apache.struts.action.ActionMapping;
import org.apache.struts.action.ActionForm;
// servlet imports
import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
import javax.servlet.ServletException;
// Internet Sales imports
import com.ao.isa.businessobject.Z_AOBusinessObjectManager;
import java.util.Vector;
This action acts as a template for customer extensions
public class Z_OrderTrackingAction extends BaseAction
This method is called by the ISA Framework when the
action is executed
         public ActionForward doPerform(
              ActionMapping mapping,
              ActionForm form,
              HttpServletRequest request,
              HttpServletResponse response)
              throws ServletException
              // get user session data object
              UserSessionData userSessionData =
                   UserSessionData.getUserSessionData(request.getSession());
              // gettting custom BOM
              Z_AOBusinessObjectManager myBOM =
                   (Z_AOBusinessObjectManager) userSessionData.getBOM(
                        Z_AOBusinessObjectManager.CUSTOM_BOM);
              // get the order number being processed
              String orderDocNumber = request.getParameter("orderNo");
              // pass the order number back to the page
              request.setAttribute("orderNo", orderDocNumber);
              if (orderDocNumber != null)
                   // Get a vector of delivery tracking objects from lower layers (Business Object layer =>
                   // Business Logic Service Layer)
                   Vector trackingTable =
                        myBOM.getCustomBasket().getOrderDeliveryTrackingData(
                             orderDocNumber);
                   String error = "";
                   if (trackingTable != null)
                        if (trackingTable.size() == 0)
                             error = "true";
                        else
                             error = "false";
                   else
                        error = "true";
                   request.setAttribute("errorMessage", error);
                   request.setAttribute("trackingTable", trackingTable);
              return mapping.findForward("success");
5. I added the call to the function module for page orderstatusdetail.jsp in folder project_root\b2b_z\b2b\order to display a custom page Z_orderTracking.jsp in the same folder.  To do this I added a link into the HTML to call a JavaScript function that passed the current order number to the /b2b/Z_orderTracking.do actionhandler mapped in the config.xml file.
So, in summary!  Create an RFC; define business managers for it in the XML files; create a new Strut action and supporting Java class; create all the Java class’ for the managers.
I hope this makes some sense!
Gareth.

• PDF document in the ISA product catalog

Hi all,
Anyone who knows how to display PDF documents in the ISA product catalog?
In the document "Internet Sales in a B2B Scenario Presentation" there's an indication of that you can show, amongst others, PDF documents in the detailed screen for an item. We have an R3/ISA 4.0 B2B scenario.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Ulrika Enskog

Hi, and thanks for the answer!
This was what I thought I had to do.
It turns out that there actually is an SAP note on this issue - 608422 - which deals with adding additional attachments to catalog items in ISA R/3. And in SAP note 610393 they have provided example java and jsp files for doing this.
Best regards,
Ulrika

• How to add custom text on ISA B2B Order

Hi,
On Order page of ISA B2B I have created a custom text field  "Shipping Attention".When I try to add this text in the header like
header.addExtensionData("Z123","Value") in Z_BasketRefreshAction which extends MaintainBasketDispatcherAction, it is not reflecting in the "Shipping Attn"(created in the text tab in CRM)  field in CRM system.
The flow:
/b2b/maintainbasket --> Z_BasketRefreshAction --> /b2b/basketrefresh --> MaintainBasketRefreshAction --> b2b/updatedocumentview
Please let me know if I missing something...
Thanks in Advance.

Muthu

Hello,
You have covered the first two layers of the request - response cycle cake - the View (JSP) and the Control (Java) layers. The icing is done in the backend BAdI and using the right function module. I am assuming the CRM backend.
A typical request-response in the application goes like this. I will give example for the header extensions.
Added the custom variable in the HTML layer (JSP page)
Traversed through the Dispatcher, Parser and get the input value from the JSP page variable and added it to the Business Object (Header) using addExtensionData.
The java application layer actually makes an "Update Header" call during the update cycle - like when you click that "Update" button.
In the SAP E-Commerce design, during this "update" cycles, the application flows through specific BAdI call sequence. It calls what I call the Header BAdI CRM_ISA_BASKET_HEAD when the header information is updated. You have to extend this BAdI and implement at least two methods.
It has two methods - which are called during this request - response cycle. First method CHANGEHEAD_SET_DATA is called during the request cycle - that is from ISA to CRM (when update is clicked). This is where your extension data has to be transferred from the Java layer to the backend layer (model). You will essentially read from the table IT_EXTENSION and call SAVE_TEXT function module. Since your requirement is to update text, this is the FM to be called. Many other cases use the FM mentioned by Mike. This is where the data from the web layer is persisted in the backend model.
And the other method GETHEAD_GET_DATA is called during the response cycle. In this method, you will essentially read from the model - in your case READ_TEXT and set it back in the extension layer CT_EXTENSION
The update header call from the Java layer will now receive the data back from the model and will automagically transfer the values from the backend (ABAP layer) back to the Java layer to be accessible by you in the JSP using getExtensionData call.
What you have to do are the steps .5 and 6 in order to complete the request-response cycle.

• Order product out of catalog view

Hi
On default in b2b webshop, if the product is valid for the org. unit but invalid for the determined catalog, you still can order this product even it is not inlcuded in the product catalog.
Therefore, we disable the parameter 'enable.nonCatalogProducts’ of ‘ui’
component in ‘b2b’ xcm configuration, then message 'CRM_SALES 307' raises in web to avoid ordering the product out of the catalog succesfully.
However, if we exclude certain product from catalog view(but the product still exists in the catalog), the product disappears in product catalog view in web shop as we expected, but we still can order this product by directly input in order, which disobeys our request, our request is that you only can order the products in your product catalog VIEW.
Did anybody encounter this problem before?
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
please check if for the catalog views Partner Product ranges are maintained. Use SPRO and under
CRM ->Master Data ->Partner/Product Range ->Basic settings
check the following settings:
Define general settings for PPR - check if the flag to use PPR checks in the application (and for given processes) has been set. Check the checkbox "Check PPRs in Business transactions and Applications"
(ii) PPR Tape for Product Catalog View - make sure that type 0002 is selected
(iii) Define transaction types and Applications relevant for check - please check the existing SPRO documentation as I am not sure about this point, but in general it should be the transaction type used in your shop
I hope this will help you resolve the issue. Have you already asked our Support for assistance? Please let me know the message number or write my comments in the message so that my colleagues know about it.

• Catalog views for ERP E-Commerce for MySAP ERP ECC 5.0

We are implementing the R/3 version of CRM-ISA (ERP E-Commerce for MySAP ERP ECC 5.0).
We need to implement product catalog views to allow filtering based on specific attributes.
We have created a custom function module Z_ISA_READ_CATALOG_COMPLETE to replace ISA_READ_CATALOG_COMPLETE and  Z_ISA_CUSTOMER_READ_CAT_VIEWS to replace ISA_CUSTOMER_READ_CAT_VIEWS.
But when we test from ISA the FM Z_ISA_READ_CATALOG_COMPLETE does not get invoked through RFC.
There is an  SAP NOTE 998453 that we checked but it is still a pilot version.
Has anyone implemented the catalog views without the notes? Can we do the catalog views without the note? If so, how can we meke custom FM work? Please advice.
Thanks,
VK

Check the following.
1. The XCM file modification-config.xml replaces both the function modules
2. The checkbox to use the catalog views is checked for your webshop
3. Catalog is published to TREX and you are using TREX catalog instead of Memory catalog.
I don't think these notes work without TREX. I'd be interested in learning if anyone successfully implemented Catalog views with ECC ECO without using TREX.

• SAP ECO for ERP 5.0: customer specific catalog views?

Hello,
SAP E-Commerce for ERP 5.0:
How can I  create and process catalog views for Web shop customers and assign Web shop customers (as users) to the chosen views?

• Order Template in R/3 ISA B2B scenario

Hi,
Does anybody know where the Order templates in R/3 ISA 5.0  B2B(with memory catalog) scenario get saved .???
Somewhere in the isa b2b config guide i read that it gets stored in SAP Web AS Java 7.00 server.If this is true, could you tell me how to access those templates (like from which table and database)?
Answers will be rewarded with points.
Thanks
Ravi

It gets stored in the database to which your web shop is pointing to.
Check the shop admin or the xcm config.
It has some jdbc parameters which would point to the data base which the
isa application is pointing to.
This should be a pointer.
As regards the tables i don't know if there is any document which talks about it.
(If you do come across any please do share the info for the better of the community)
Try going thru the source code to identify the tables.
But yes the order template information is stored in the database (also called by some as java database)
