R/3 partner functions to CRM BP roles

Hi experts,
                   We are trying to replicate customers from R/3 to CRM. If a customer plays multiple partner functions, say he himself plays sold to, ship to, payer and Buyer in R/3, how can we show this as multiple roles in CRM. i know that we can not create relationship between identical BPs. we were succesful to view the contact persons and other partner functions in Relationship view. please help me out on this.
Points will b rewarded surely.
Thanks in advance.

  • Replication Of Z Partner Functions from CRM to ECC

    HI All,
    We are creating the " Z Partner Functions " in SAP CRM & ECC.in our scenario partner functions flows from CRM to ECC and we want to replicate these partner functions from CRM to ECC.
    So can some onle please tell me how to do this?.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Arun

    1. Create the partner function in ECC
    2.  Assign the partner function to the relevant partner procedure in ECC
    3. Create a partner function in CRM
    4. Map the partner function as follows:
    Customer Relationship Management
    --> Basic Functions
    --> Partner Processing
    --> Data Transfer
    --> Distribution of Partner Functions from R/3 into CRM
    Create the following entry:
    Partner function in R/3         Function
    and also the below:
    Create a mapping entry for data transfer from CRM to R/3 via the
    following IMG activity in CRM:
    Customer Relationship Management
    --> Basic Functions
    --> Partner Processing
    --> Data Transfer
    --> Distribution of Partner Functions from CRM into R/3
    Create the following entry:
    Function     R/3 function    Type in R/3

  • New Partner Function in CRM (Solution Manager Service Desk)

    Hi CRM Gurus!,
      Even if this problem is present in my Solution Manager Service Desk I'm creating this thread here in CRM Forum because I thin'k I need the experience of one CRM Expert. Í´ve created this question in Solution Manager Forum also but I hadn´t solved my problem yet.
    We add the partner function called "Additional Partner", but I don't know why in the tab "Partners" in the CRM transaction we want to add a new partner but in the partners combo the new one does not appear in the list.
    The procedure that I did was: I created a new business partner function and I added this new function to my partner determination procedure, then in SPRO: "Define Partner Determination Procedures" -> I set the option "Only Functions Assigned in Procedure".
    These are the values. fro my new function:
    Function: ZSLFN004
    Text: Additional Processor
    Abbrev.: ZAMS
    Function Cat.: 0008 Person Responsible
    Usage: CRM Customer Relationship Managem.
    Relatshp Cat: CRMH06 Is Responsible BP For
    The partner functions in my procedure are:
    00000001 Sold-To Party (CRM)
    00000046 Approved by (CRM)
    SLFN0001 System Administrator (CRM)
    SLFN0002 Reported by (CRM)
    SLFN0003 Support Team (CRM)
    SLFN0004 Message Processor (CRM)
    ZSLFN004 Additional Processor (CRM)
    But in the transactions when I try to add a new partner in the partners tab only the follow functions appears in the combo:
    00000001 Sold-To Party (CRM)
    00000046 Approved by (CRM)
    SLFN0001 System Administrator (CRM)
    SLFN0002 Reported by (CRM)
    SLFN0003 Support Team (CRM)
    SLFN0004 Message Processor (CRM)
    I don't know why my ZSLFN004 is not listed in the combo.
    By the way, my function was created as a copy of SLFN0004.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Gustavo Balboa

    Hi Vishant,
      Thanks for your answer, but some one in the Solution Manager forum gave me the answer few minutes ago :). The problem was that in some transaction types (I don't know wich ones or if it aplies to all) the category 0008 - Person Responsible can only appear once, my partner function was a copy of the function SLFN0004 - Message Processor and that function is defined with the category 0008, so I had 2 partner functions defined in the category 0008.
    To solve the problem I just adjust my Z function and put the category 0016 - Service Team and let the relationship empty. Then the partner function is now showing in the combo at partners tab.
    Again, thanks anyway for the time that you take to answer my question.

  • Replication of Partner Function from CRM 5 to ECC6 Issue

    Hi experts
    Is someone able to assist with pointing me in the correct direction to resolve a partner function replication issue please. We create all entities/BPs in CRM, and replicate them to ECC.
    We have a custom partner function, ZF, that is held against Payer and Sold-to in ECC. This is a separate entity in CRM, but is sent according to relationship assignment to ECC. We have noticed that this partner function is not being updated correctly.
    Scenarios:
    Ending a relationship between Account/Customer (Payer/sold-to in ECC) and the Farm (ZF partner function) - the ZF partner function is removed in ECC. This is correct behaviour.
    New Account or Customer creation in ECC with ZF relationship assigned, ZF partner function is being created in ECC. This is correct behaviour.
    HOWEVER, when adding a new ZF relationship in CRM to an existing Payer/Sold-to, the ZF partner function does not get created in ECC. This is incorrect behaviour - new valid relationship should trigger ZF partner function in ECC.
    Also, name changes to the ZF maintained in CRM, is not being updated in ECC for existing relationships. Instead, the Partner Function tab, ZF type, displays the old name for the Farm.
    BUPAREL bdocs are being created and sent to ECC, however something is happening on the receiver end. How do we trace this, and does anyone have any ideas on where to start to find out what is happening here?
    Many thanks
    Cara

    Solved, internal issue usage tab not being completed correctly so not assigning partner function

  • R/3 Partner Function missing in CRM

    Hi Guys,
    There is partner function in R/3 called SR (Material safety sheet reciepient). This partner function is assigned as mandatory in R/3 while creating customers in R/3.
    However in the CRM system there in Role similar to that one. How do I get around this issue. Even if i create a new role how will I link this new role to the R/3 partner function?
    Ani

    Hi Ani,
    You need to map R/3 Partner funtion to CRM partner funtion and vica versa.
    Please perform the partner funtion data transfer settings as below
    In IMG settings,
    Customer Relationship Management>Basic Functions>Partner Processing-->
    Data Transfer
    Here in you have two mappings to be done
    1) Distribution of Partner Functions from SAP ECC into CRM
    2)Distribution of Partner Functions from CRM into SAP ECC
    Please read the help associated to IMG to get the clear picture.
    And see the example for mapping of partner funtion 'Sold-to-Party'
    i.e partner funtion in R/3: 'AG'
    and Partner funtion '00000001' in CRM

  • Partner function replecation from CRM to R/3

    Hi ,
    Can any one tell me whats the Object to replecate Partner functions from CRM to R/3
    Thanks in Advance.
    Shaan

    Hi,
    if you mean the customizing: the setup of partner functions on the R/3 & CRM system needs to be done seperately.
    --> in CRM, the partner functions are dependent on relationships.
    if you mean transfer the data: object/bdoc bupa_rel is used to transfer data between CRM & R/3.
    Michael.

  • Partner functions (R/3- CRM) based on employee number (KNVP-PERNR) or CP

    Hi all gurus,
    I am trying to replicate an partner-function base on personnel number/employee number for customers from R/3 to CRM.
    For those partner-functions only the employee number is filled in KNVP-PERNR (the KNVP-KUNN2, KNVP-LIFNR and KNVP-PARNR are empty).
    If I follow the replication process I don't see the employee number getting mapped to the "bapimtcs structure" (in function module COM_BUPA_MWX_CREATE_REL) and therefore those partnerfunctions are not replicated to CRM.
    (all employees are entered in HR-R/3 and downloaded to CRM as business partners)
    Basically this is exatly the same situation described in the following forum:
    [Replicate partner functions (R/3->CRM) base on employee number (KNVP-PERNR)  |Replicate partner functions (R/3->CRM) base on employee number (KNVP-PERNR)]
    What (function modules/configuration) is necessary to get those partner-functions being replicated to CRM?
    Unfortunately I was pretty unable to collect valid solution track.
    Thanks in advance,
    AndreA

    Hi Andrea,
    We were able to solve the exact same issue.
    Here are steps used by us to fix the issue :
    IMG Settings in CRM :
    SPRO>CRM>Basic Functions>Partner Processing> Date Transfer>Distribution of Partner Functions from SAP ECC into CRM>
    Partner Function = VE
    Funciton = Employee  Responsible(00000014)   ( can be any other partner function which is a employee)
    Usage= CRM
    Also make sure the following settings are also done
    SPRO>CRM>Basic Functions>Partner Processing> Date Transfer-->Distribution of Partner Functions from CRM into SAP ECC
    Funciton = Employee  Responsible(00000014)
    Partner Function Cat = Employee
    Scenario = CRM
    R/3 func = VE    ( even though you are using the PE partner function in ECCwe use VE here as you know VE is the german  version of PE)
    Type = MR master record
    Also make sure that SAP Notes 1020514  and 1099363 have been applied in ECC.
    Let me know if you have any issues. This should fix it.
    Thanks

  • Replicating partner function (VE=sales employee) from CRM to ECC

    Hello, we managed to replicate the ECC customers and contact persons to SAP CRM.
    Now we also want to replicate to CRM the partner functions (VE = sales employee) of ECC that are linked to the customer in the sales view. When I replicate the object customer_rel they are not synchronised to CRM. I have maintainted the 'distribution of partner functions from SAP ECC into CRM and vice versa in SPRO.
    What are the different steps that I need to do? What am I missing?
    Should we be alble to see those relationships on BP in CRM once synchronised? If yes, in which relationship? Since the employee responsible is already filled manually for another function.
    Thanks for your help on replicating partner functions from CRM to ECC?
    Kr, Anouck

    Hi Anouck.
    If I've understood correctly, for that you must pass the employees from ECC to CRM first.
    You can do this by running report RHALEINI at ECC side, but you must configure some things first (like creating a CRM grouping to indicate the number range for employees, and to activate at CRM side this integration)
    Kind regards,
    Garcia

  • Replication of partner function from ECC to CRM

    Hi experts,
    We are working on CRM 5.0 with back end ECC 6.0
    In our scenario we are creating sales orders in ECC and replicating it to CRM.
    Now the problem is we have a partner function created in ECC which is entered manually ( not through partner determination procedure) . We have also created the same partner function in CRM but we are not able to populate that partner function field automatically.
    Is there any way by which we can populate this ?
    Points will be rewarded for suitable solution.
    Regards,
    Madhu

    hi
    just mainatining partner function wont be enough ,you need to do two things
    1. mapping of BP function between CRM and ECC
    2. specify the path from ECC to CRM so that they can be replicated successfully
    so,IMG: Customer Relationship Management -> Basic Functions -> Partner Processing -> Data Transfer -> Distribution of Partner Functions from SAP ECC into CRM
    this is the path where in distribution you need to specify the path
    and maintain there the mapping between the R3 and CRM
    RFC destination should be CRM and source is ECC

  • CRM 4.0 and Partner Functions?

    As I understand it, they believe that there is a limitation on the number of partner functions that can be replicated
    between CRM 4.0 and ERP?
    And the limitation is a total of 999?
    But what if more than 999 are needed?
    I guess that these are created as follows:
    Transaction SPRO
    u2013 CRM
    u2013 Basic Functions
    u2013 Partner Processing
    u2013 Data Transfer
    u2013 Distribution of Partner Functions from CRM into R/3
    and the table involved is CRMC_PARTNER_2R3
    Is there a workaround?
    Is there a greater number of partner functions allowed in newer CRM releases?

    The limitation is the standard system design in ERP, not CRM.
    There is a limit of 999 entries due to a field length of 3 characters. Please see table KNVP - the field PARZA is the Partner Counter, and you can see in the table that it is defined as only 3 characters, hence the 999 limitation.
    Here are 2 options to consider to demonstrate that there are possible options:
    - A ship-to partner does not need to be assigned to a sold-to in order to be used on a sales order. As long as the ship-to has been
      set up (using transaction XD01 and account group 0002) you can use any ship-to in an order.Break up the sold-to by regions or some other means  so that you can accommodate all of the ship-to's.
    - You could possibly make a work round by changing the domain PARZA to 4 digits , but this would be a work round and would require a full investigation on the feasibility of this change. Unfortunately this would have to be on a Consultancy basis, see SAP Note 83020.  Also SAP Note 170183 would apply.

  • Contact persons not created with partner function in R/3

    When we create a contact person in CRM and assign this to a business partner, and assign a sales area and partner function in the usage tab, the contact person is replicated to R/3 correctly. However in R/3 the corresponding partner function is not created. This also happens to other BP relationships (ship-to, bill-to etc.).
    Does anyone have a solution for out issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Pascal.

    Hi,
    Please check that you have maintained the partner funtion mapping between CRM and R/3 in IMG Path:
    Customer Relationship Management>Basic Functions>Partner Processing>Data Transfer>Distribution of Partner Functions from CRM into SAP ECC

  • Difference Between Partner function & Business Role

    1) What's the difference between Partner function & Business Role?
    2) What is BP role grouping??

    Hi Jayant,
    Partner functions
    Partner functions are terms that describe the people and organizations with whom you do business, and who are therefore involved in transactions. For example, when you create an activity, based on Customizing settings, it automatically includes the partner functions Activity Partner, Contact Person, and Person Responsible. Partner functions are always assigned to partner function categories, which are hard-coded in the system.
    The system includes commonly used partner functions, but you can also define your own.
    Business role
    The business role is a role describing the user interface of SAP CRM and displays the CRM functions in the form of BSP applications in the CRM Web Client. The business role is assigned to the end-user.
    Business Role is a crucial aspect in configuring the Web UI as required by an individual or a group of Users.
    For Ex: In general an individual who works within Sales as an agent would be able to login as a Sales Professional and a manager of the same team would login with the business role Sales Manager.
    This is beneficial as the sales manager would be able to view the entire performance of the team, sales reports and will have access to all opportunities which he can assign to individual agents etc. whereas a Sales agent will be able to view only opportunities assigned to him, his individual sales targets etc.
    All this can be achieved within SAP CRM 7.0 Web UI by configuring the Business Role.

    Leon

  • Partner Functions in Procedure - CRM 2007

    We have an issue where a "Partner Function is determined on a 'Plan Header' ".
    We need to populate the Ex. Interaction Centre (CRM) function, which 95 times out of 100, works fine.
    the majority of plans that are created, this will read the Org Unit from the user creating the plan to populate this data.
    basically we have interfaces creating plans with references to Quotes, using the Standard PIAPPLUSER, and as no Org Unit is assigned to this service user, we are able to add our own Org Unit to the ICENTER function.
    however, if there are any errors during this processing, and we need to reprocess, it reads the Org Unit of the person processing the data, and not the code i am passing into CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN....
    we have looked at the settings:
        Determination Time in Partner Determination
            Specifies at what point in a transaction the system determines business
            partners for that transaction.
            o   Recurring partner determination starts as soon as you begin creating
                a transaction document and reoccurs as you process the transaction,
                until the system has found partners for all partners functions to
                which you assigned recurring partner determination.
            o   Determination during product entry occurs when you make entries at
                item level. If you want to carry out partner determination based on
                particular products or services, use this option.
            o   Determination when saving occurs when you save the transaction for
                the first time.
                -   For example, you could be use this option to determine partners
                    based on the total value of the transaction.
    ideally, we would like the determination to only occur if there is not an OU present for the ICENTER partner function.
    does anyone have any ideas?

    could not change this programmatically due to the configuration.  no longer required.

  • Filtering My Open Task in SAP CRM based on Status, Transaction & Partner Function

    Hello
    Whenever i create a Task in SAP CRM, it displays that transaction in the My Open Task of all Business Partners involved in that Transaction.
    I want to restrict the My Open Tasks based on Transaction Type, Status and Partner Function.
    1) The system should work as it is for all other Tasks but for my Custom Transaction Type the logic should be based on status of the Transaction
    2) When My Open Task component is prepared the system should consider the Status and Partner Function as well i.e. if the status is Approval of Manager, the system should show the Open Task only to the Manager and not other parties.
    3) if the status of the Transaction is Open, the system should only display this Transaction / Task only to Employee Responsible and not to Manager and other people involved in their My Open Tasks.
    I have gone through the following post in SCN:
    https://scn.sap.com/thread/2056959
    I have implemented the method DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT as per the post but it does not do anything. When i redefine the method GET_QUERY_RESULT and remove everything,it does not prepare any list.
    If possible please specify which method needs to be redefined in the component/view CRMCMP_GS_WC/TodaysTasks & if possible please share the code that needs to be maintained in that method.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Method DO_INIT_CONTEXT should be redefined
    This should be redifined to get the collections with your required filter criteria.
    * get the collection of entities for the tasks
       lr_col      = get_query_result( gc_status-open ).
    If this does not help, Delete the collections which are not required after above selection but before this code.
       me->typed_context->resultnew->collection_wrapper->set_collection( lr_col ).
    Thanks
