R/3 vs BW - Missing documents in BW

Hi,
After comparing the BW data with R/3 in production, we found the following variances,
Identified BW variances:
1) PCA Cube Variance 11/05 & 12/05 - resolved
resolved by execution of full load.
2) PCA Cube Variance 08/05 - unresolved
Unable to utilize FI-SL doc type field.
Question :
Could you please help me to identify the root cause for this issue and help me to determine a solution for preventing missing documents in BW.

Thanks for your reply.
I have checked the values for doc type field, it is coming from R/3.
I also checked the transfer and update rules, records are not filtered, I don't get any other clue as well. Missing records were updated through full update for the period Nov-05.
I supposed to identify the root cause for this issue and also find a solution for preventing missing documents in BW (Future).
Please share if you have any other idea as well.

Portal center: A lot of missing documents..

As I was unable to find a contact/feedback form on portalcenter/portalstudio, I thought I'd just try here, and see what happens.
I am trying to find documentation on how to develop plsql portlets, so I found the "Plsql Home" on portalcenter: http://portalstudio.oracle.com/servlet/page?_pageid=473&_dad=ops&_schema=OPSTUDIO&_mode=3
As I am a complete newbie to portlet development, I thought the doc named "Portlet Development Guidelines" on this link: http://portalstudio.oracle.com/servlet/page?_pageid=936&_dad=ops&_schema=OPSTUDIO
might be a good place to start. Problem is that when I click the link, I am presented with a page with an error message: "Error: Page not found. (WWC-44234)".
Nothing else. No info on how to report the missing document, no help at all.
In fact, after looking around at portalcenter for more than 15 minutes, I have not been able to find a single link/pointer on how to report missing links or other problems/feedback.
Maybe someone from Oracle could get the message through to the right person/group?
And: This is not the only document missing, its just an example. There are lots of others as well. In fact, there are so many that its ridicilous.
Come on, Oracle. You can do better than this!

Try:

Logic required to get the missed document nos in arport

Hi Guys,
Document numbers are flowing in to two ODS's. These doc numbers are available in 'X' and 'Y' ODS's.
We are missing some doc nos in both the ODS's.
For example: 101,102,103 doc nos are available in 'X" ODS also 101 1nd 102 also avaialable in'Y' ODS.
But we are missing 103 in "Y' ODS.
we want to display those doc nos in a report.
We Created an infoset on these two ODS's.
What kind of logic is required to display these missed doc nos in a BW Report

I would suggest to use another DSO, specifically for this missing document numbers with Document Number and two Flags (FLAG1 and FLAG2). Both DSO1 and DSO2 will Source this 3rd DSO (In this DSO, Doc Number will be Unique - No Duplicates).
In the transformation for DSO1, lookup DSO2, compare the Doc Numbers and fill FLAG1 as 'X' on each missing record.
In the transformation for DSO2, lookup DSO1, compare the Doc Numbers and fill FLAG2 as 'X' on each missing record.
Then you can generate two reports for missing Doc Numbers based on FLAG1 and FLAG2.
This is just an example, you could do the same in other optimized ways.... discuss with your ABAPer....

Spool full and missing document number

If the number range missing because of the spool full in your system that means some job/activity that was running during that time frame which couldn't create the spool and maybe that's why your number range is missing...
Please run Spool consistency check with RSPO1043 as per SAP Note 98065..

Missing document flow for STO proc. delivery

I have problem with missing document flow for STO proc. delivery. I debugged VL10 and BADI (IF_EX_LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC~SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE), I found that document flow parameters (CT_XVBFA) for this BADI interface is empty.
Any comments or solution.

Missing documents from 2LIS_03_BF/2LIS_03_UM

We discovered that on one day last week for a few hours most if not all material and accounting documents were not getting captured coming from 2LIS_03_BF and UM.
We've been live using 2LIS_03_BF and UM since May of last year and never had any trouble with missing documents from the inventory extractors until last week, and are not sure what could cause this?
We patched things up by identifying the missing documents and loading those into BW doing new initializations/full repair requests. Everything seems fine now, but we'd like to know how to prevent this in the future. Has anyone experienced this before where suddenly LO documents are not getting captured?
We found OSS note 766622 which allows for a logging feature for application 03 (LO-IM) but are not sure what kind of system overhead this will cause. Has anyone else implemented this note and could comment on any impact on the R/3 production system?

Hi Chris,
you are not the first and probably you will not the last to face similar problem with inventory management: I already saw similar situation, but I never found a customer with this OSS Note applied (that, among the other thing, is not a solution, but an activation of a log system in order to hope to understand something next time will happen a similar problem)...
If SAP support has this type of approach in its OSS note I think that the answer to your doubt will remain unanswered: the cause of this problem is not known and (as you can understand from your experience) it's really hard to understand what's happened !
The only way to go is applying the log system as per OSS Note and hoping (what a paradox !) that the problem will raise again !!!
If you apply the note, I don't believe that you will see relevant performance impact (even if you have to write on TMCEXLOG table), but this depends from the average number of your material movements/delta records...

Load Missing documents w/o disturbing delta

Hi Experts,
We miss several documents for particular reason. This cube is being loaded with delta package. Now they want the missing documents into the Infocube.We are updating data from R/3 DS(Controlling)----->Cube.
If I load missing documents with a new data package giving required selection in document number, will it disturb daily delta loading process for this cube. What is your advice.

Hi,
If your data is missing, you may go for Repair full delta option available in infopackage. This would not disturb your deltas and bring in any missing data from R/3.
As you have mentioned that your dataload is delta load, therefore, you would not be able to change the selection conditions for your extraction as the selection condition for your delta load will have to be same as that of your Init delta load.

MIRO missing document number field

In our test system is missing document number field in transaction miro, so you basically can't booked an inovice, because you cannot insert doc.number (in fbn1 is set to external). At the end, when I want to save it, i get short dump ! telling me, that doc.number must be between correct interval based on document type, but I cannot insert the correct number because of missing field.
As far i can tell, nobody was messing with userexits (exit_saplfdcb_001, exit_saplmr1m_002, 003, 010) and badi's (badi_fdcb_subbas01-04) or screen variants (in shd0 - programs saplmr1m and saplfdcb) ( (i manually compered them with those in development and production, where field is showing, and are identical). There are also none saved requeset in test system in connection with miro.
Does somebody had similiar problem ?
What could be reason for that ? What else to check?

At Central Solution Monitoring we are missing documents and task log which have been before we activate monitoring system again.
System was deactivate due to maintance Logical components.
Can somebady help where or how we can find lost documents, we are sure that we had not been deleted.

Dunning run - missing documents

Hello all
I am running the dunning wizard and I have several documents, from several BP, that are not extracted from the wizard (are missing). Same documents are between other's and never have been in any dunning run.
The configuration has 12 levels and the first is 15 days from de due date and the others are separeted 1 day apart.
Do anyone have any sugestion?

The dunning procedure run's once a month.
I have checked the configuration again, and I modified it to the following:
- no dunning level configured - table empty
- 1 dunning term configured with 3 level:
     - level 1 - efective after 15 days
     - level 2- efective after 30 days
     - level 3 - efective after 30 days
same result.

I have a jax-rpc web service that I generated using jwsdp 1.2 tools. It all works fine except when I try to throw a user defined Exception on the server side, I get the following exception on the client:

Load the missing document templates for SOLAR01, 02

I would like to use the document templates in SOLMAN (Tcode SOLAR01).
I have detected some of the document templates are not empty, BUT the others (such as Business Blueprint, Scenario documentation).
<b>How can I find and/or activate the non-empty variants of these templates?
Where do the templates store in the DB or OS?</b>

go through this link in order to validate the data, there is no need to debugg the update rules or transfer rules.
1. check what is the importence of these documents?how these are different from other documents? this thing will be useful to investigate in Update Rules.

Why document numbers are missed in marketing documents?For Example I post from 1 to 10 numbers in GRPO.Missed numbers like from 4 to 7 numbers.

The same situation i have seen when multiple users are adding the same type of document.
For example if 5 users are punching the data in sale order at the same time, Possibilities are there to get numbers to skip and miss.
Also need to check, if it happens when two users using same user id and password to raise same type of document.
