R.I.P GoLive and thank you

It's official. Adobe has killed our beloved app.
Many many years ago as I looked for ways to bring in more income, my girlfriend suggested I get into web designing since I was so fascinated with the internet and technology. She went out and bought me Cyberstudio GoLive and said that I was to build her a web site for her small business. With no knowlege of HTML at all I thought she was crazy but still, wanting so much to impress her, I took up the challenge. I read the manual and in no time I built her a site.
I will never forget the day I actually uploaded it to the web server. Friends were calling us from all over the world to offer their congrats; they were even more impressed to learn that I did it. I could not even imagined doing this with dreamweaver back then. I got every GoLive version there after
..and so started a career as a web designer/consultant. You can say that GoLive was a Saviour for me. Today Adobe decided to kill it; I felt somewhat compelled to throw a big shout out to the Original Cyberstudio team who created this great application before Adobe acquired it. Thank you

Motiondude, Thanks for the update. That's encouraging.
Even though I have started incorporating DWCS3 into my workflow, I plan to hang onto GoLive for as long as possible. It saves me a great deal of time managing files, making updates, and more.
I have been setting up my sites first in GoLive with all the settings for FTP. Then I set up a site in DWCS3 and simply point it to the Web Content Folder that exists in my GoLive site. I don't set up the FTP. I will do whatever tasks I want to do in DW, then update the site in GoLive and continue to do what I want to do in GL, followed by any uploads. So far this is working well. I just have to remember to update each site file when I jump from one to the other. I also close the html page to avoid a conflict by working on the same page with the two programs.
In the meantime I am moving forward to learn as much as I can about Dreamwaeaver and CSS. The latest book I'm studying is called
Mastering CSS with Dreamweaver CS3. I think this is a good book for both designers and GoLive users making the transition. There are still challenges to overcome when it comes to complex divs, but this seems to be a good book, at least for my learning style.
