R12.1.1 upgrade driver failed due to OKC user connectivity (RHEL 5.9)
Hi Team,
I was in the middle of the R12.1.1 upgrade and the driver failed due to OKC user connectivity .
I have checked all the possibilities.
Please let me know how to proceed from here. Though I restarted the patch it is failing due to OKC user login denied.

Attribute Change run failed due to the User Lock
Hi Friends,
attribute change run has failed due to the user lock.
can any one tell me how to process and what is the main cause behind on this.
thanks in advanceif master data is loading at same time while the attr/hier change run is occuring,it cause the change run to fail.
Usually u get error message like..user ALEREMOTE has locked the MD tables..
Wait for some time and then try attr change run manually by going to rsa1->tools->apply hier/attr change..
if it still shows locked..try to see in rsmo if a MD load has got stuck..
else..see in sm12 to find lock is on which tables..
last resort..delete lock forcefully from sm12..
first option is wait for some time and give a try again..
cheers,

Hi Everyone,
Is it OK to upgrade the 10.1.3.4 OH to 10.1.3.5 after we install the R12.1.1 file system but before running the R12.1.1 upgrade driver, so that we could complete the techstack related steps before the actual downtime to save time during the actual upgrade?

ThanksYou cannot upgrade 10.1.3.x ORACLE_HOME after you lay down R12 software and before the actual upgrade since your instance should be on R12 to apply the patches in (Upgrading to the Latest OracleAS 10g 10.1.3.x Patch Set in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [ID 454811.1]). So, upgrade to 12.1.1/12.1.3 then upgrade the 10.1.3 ORACLE_HOME to the latest patchset (10.1.3.5).

R12.1.1 Upgrade: Question on Laying tech stack using rapidwiz
Hi
I am preparing for the R12.1.1 upgrade from 11.5.10.2 and we are already on 11.1.0.7(for db).
I have given the environment to functional teams to do pre-steps on the 11.5.10 code tree as per the upgrade document.
In the meantime, I was hoping I can save time, if I can layout the tech stack using rapidwiz.
is there a problem in doing this ?
When users are using the 11.5.10.2 code tree, can I install the 12.1.1 code tree on a different loccation?
My objective is if i can set it up this way, then when it comes time for upgrade, then I need to just run the upgrade driver.
thank you

When users are using the 11.5.10.2 code tree, can I install the 12.1.1 code tree on a different loccation?If you want to be kind to your users, kick off the installation during a quiet time on the server. :-) You don't need to shut down the 11i services, since all you're doing is copying files. The I/O and CPU involved in unzipping the 20-ish GB of apps tier software will probably be felt by your users, however.

T440s windows 10 upgrade failed due to lack of Lenovo driver for ac-7260
Anyone know when or where Lenovo will release / has released a windows 10 compatible driver for the Intel Wireless ac-7260 wifi adapter (mine is in my T440S)? Currently it's not possible to upgrade because the wifi adapter fails to operate correctly and I can find no update from Lenovo for my notebook and the ac-7260 adapter on the site that supports windows 10. I also tried the Intel "generic" drivers but that failed to resolve the problem. I tried many things and just could not get it to work for many different reasons that all boiled down to the adapter driver failing to work and giving errors or simply not working at all. Now that Windows 10 is released surely Lenovo has an adapter driver somewhere for it?
RESOLVED: Turns out I had an "Array networks" SSL VPN client installed as part of my Softlayer ISP's remote desktop package, not Cisco at all but caused the same exact problem. I had to uninstall it completely and have since found out it doesn't work at all with Windows 10 and there is no timeframe to have it updated and Array networks or maybe just Softlayer apparently haven't gone out of their way to inform the public. Thank you guys for your help and I hope others in future will benefit from this post.

Touch driver blocked due to failed logo requirements
I have the HP Envy m6 Win8 laptop which is not a touch screen laptop. My laptop, sinc January, has been repeatedly freezing requiring hard restarts. I have taken it into GeekSquad 4 times now and had the motherboard replaced, my hard drive replaced, and
my drivers updated. However, it's still having issues. I looked at the failed event log and this is what it says:
Source: win32k
event ID: 266
General: Touch driver blocked due to failed logo requirements
There's also another one that says:
Source: PrintService
event ID: 215
General: Installing printer driver- failed, error code 0xBC8, HRESULT 0x80070BC8. See the event user data for context information.
At the same exact time as event 215, this one occurs as well:
Source: PrintService
event ID: 370
General: The print spooler failed to regenerate the printer driver information for driver Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver for environment Windows x64. Win32 system error code 3016 (0xbc8). This can occur after an operating system
upgrade or because of data loss on the hard drive.
I can't find anything on the web to fix this issue. My husband is a comm guy who works on computers all the time and can't figure it out. GeekSquad has had my laptop for (total) a month and can't figure it out. Any insight would be much appreciated! I just
want my computer (which is only 8 months old) to stop freezing! :(I've the same problem also. I'm using acer ravo. problem is the pc just lost connection to display/monitor without any reason after being left for some hours and wont wake up..the only thing to reestablish the display/monitor is by hard restart.
Pls help

Installing 12.1.1 upgrade driver, sess disconnected & now adpatch fails
We are upgrading EBS HRMS QA instance from 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.1 in hrdev (10.37.2.4) machine.
=================================================
I had a telnet session from my desktop machine to the AIX 6.1 server machine.
While Installing 12.1.1 upgrade driver, i.e.
$ su – applqa
$ cd /u06_qa/oracle/apps/apps_st/appl/au/12.0.0/patch/115/driver
$ adpatch options=nocopyportion,nogenerateportion
This created adpatch_u6678700_12Jun2010.log (attached)
When we were in the following stage, my session with remote machine got down as my machine power went down.
Worker 1 running adobjcmp.sql
This resulted in abnormal termination of adpatch process on the server as you are well aware that it runs as active session from your putty console.
Once I recreated new telnet session with 10.37.2.4, I rerun adpatch like following:
$ su – applqa
$ cd /u06_qa/oracle/apps/apps_st/appl/au/12.0.0/patch/115/driver
$ adpatch options=nocopyportion,nogenerateportion
Once I restarted adpatch session, it said, do you want to continue your old session, I said yes, and through adctrl I stopped worker 1 (running adobjcmp.sql), even though there was no such process at OS level.

I just got my MacBook Pro a month ago. However I am realizing I need more hard drive space due to aps and programs. I use am external but am concerned about the space. Is there a way to upgrade my hard drive from apple and keep my warranty valid?
That would depend on whether your model actually has a hard drive. If you have the new 2013 Retina model, then you have a fixed storage device built-in that cannot be modified after purchase.

DVD drive failed after upgrade to 10.4.9
After upgrading to OS X 10.4.9 I noticed that my internal DVD drive (SuperDrive Pioneer DVR-104) failed.
I did the delta upgrade and immediately checked the most common "error" of misbehaving eject key. The key did not function at all, even after pressing it for minutes.
Later I found out that the complete drive failed.
System Profiler tells me (sorry german output)
Modell: PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-104
Version: 0000
Seriennummer:
Absteckbares Laufwerk: Nein
Protokoll: ATAPI
Einheiten-Nummer: 0
Socket-Typ: Intern
Note: no version or serial number!
DVD player gives the message (translated):
"no valid DVD drive found [-70012]"
Toast does not find the drive.
I did:
- repair permissions
- repair drive/file system
- the combo upgrade
- reset parameter ram
- reset all from open firmware
- reset PMU
no change
Do you have any hints besides replacing the drive?
Maybe it's just a coincidence. I did not use the drive for 2 weeks before
the upgrade.
Stefan
PowerMac G4 Dual 1GHz MDD Mac OS X (10.4.9)Hi, Welcome to Apple Discussions.
It sounds like LaunchServices.
Launch /Utilities/Terminal and copy & paste this at the command line:
Code:

Then log out and back in or restart. Let us know.

Hello I developed a small applicaion for insert data into database.but i am getting exception in the server like this.
app failed due to java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle][Oracle]ORA-01401: inserted value too large for column
And the code is given below..
import java.io.*;
import java.sql.*;
import javax.servlet.*;
import javax.servlet.http.*;
public class Jdbc1 extends HttpServlet
public void service(HttpServletRequest request,HttpServletResponse response)throws ServletException,IOException
PrintWriter out=response.getWriter();
String no=request.getParameter("no");
String name=request.getParameter("name");
String age=request.getParameter("age");
try
System.out.println("1");
Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
System.out.println("2");
Connection con=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:rakesh","scott","tiger");
System.out.println("3");
Statement st=con.createStatement();
System.out.println("4");
st.executeUpdate("INSERT INTO ind VALUES('+no+','+name+','+age+')" );
con.commit();
con.close();
catch(Exception e)
System.out.println(" app failed due to "+e);
}Please give solution for this....Hello sir..
thanks for ur reply...
for oracle 10g -----> we use XE as datasourse
name..What?
now i am using oracle 8i...Not so from the code you posted. Didn't I see "jdbc:odbc:..." in your first post?
so what should i
write...in the datasourse name...that means.......
Connection
con=DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:thin:@loc
alhost:1521:????????","scott","tiger");Do you really use the default username and password?
What should i write in place of ?????????..The name of the database you wish to connect to, of course.
Do you have your tnsnames.ora set up properly? Did you install this database?
None of this has ANYTHING to do with the error you posted, of course. Fix that first and then worry about the thin driver. At least it appears that the code you posted managed to connect to the database.

I can successfully connect to the database with SAPJ93DB:

So why can't I simply upgrade this MaxDB instance? Is there any logfile of DBUPDATE.SH with more information available?

I could not see any doc on metalink or google talking about JTF_PF_PAGE_OBJECT_TABLE.
Please help.Please try the following:
1. Drop the following objects (take a backup of the tables first) using:
SQL> create table JTF.JTF_PF_REPOSITORY_TMP_BKP as select * from JTF.JTF_PF_REPOSITORY_TMP;
SQL> create table JTF.JTF_PF_REPOSITORY_BKP as select * from JTF.JTF_PF_REPOSITORY;
SQL> drop table JTF.JTF_PF_REPOSITORY_TMP;
SQL> drop table JTF.JTF_PF_REPOSITORY;
SQL> drop synonym APPS.JTF_PF_REPOSITORY_TMP;
SQL> drop synonym APPS.JTF_PF_REPOSITORY;
2. Run the jtfpfcreate command:
$ sqlplus -s apps/<apps_pws> @$JTF_TOP/patch/115/sql/jtfpfcreate.sql APPS JTF
3. Recreate the missing objects:
$ adjava -mx512m -nojit oracle.apps.fnd.odf2.FndXdfCmp apps apps apps apps thin "<hostname>:<port>:<SID>" all $JTF_TOP/patch/115/xdf/jtf_pf_tabletype.xdf $FND_TOP/patch/115/xdf/xsl

4. Drop unused queue objects:
begin
DBMS_AQADM.DROP_QUEUE_TABLE (queue_table => 'JTF_PF_LOGGING_TABLE', force => TRUE);
end;
5. Restart the failed worker using adctrl

Hussein -
