R12:Enabling the intercompany segment qualifier
Hi,
Customer want modify the accounting flexfield segment 7 which is "Service Type", to be designated as the Intercompany Segment to enable Inter company accounting.
Could you please advise if there are other config changes, dependencies, or steps to be taken before this change is applied.
Also change the Value Set for segment 7 "Service Type" to be the same as the company segment ie value set xxx_COMPANY , as part of inter company change. Could you also confirm that this change will not have other implications.
Thanks
SRK

How to enable the DFF segment in Forms
Hello everyone,
I want to enable the DFF segment i.e. Attribute12 when schedule_ship_date get changed. Means if schedule_ship_date changes then with reason we want to store it. In DFF segment we want to store the reason.
The record should not save if the date changed and reason not entered.
Please can you tell me the steps how i can enable the DFF segment in Oracle forms or how i can do it mandatory if date changes.
ThanksJAK,
Please post your question in the E-Bus Suite forum. This forum is dedicated to non E-Bus Suite Forms development. Also, you might want to include the what version of EBS you are in when you make your post. More than likely, you will need to code for this event in the Custom Library (CUSTOM.PLL), but you might be able to do this with Forms Personalization - if you are on 11.5.10 or higher. The folks in the EBS forum will be able to tell you for certain which method to use.

Query to determine GL segment qualifiers
I need a query to determine which of the GL segments is the natural account, cost center, balancing, and intercompany segments. Can someone tell me which table and columns these segment qualifiers are stored?
Thanks in advancehow about R12? what is the table name?
i use the same table, but doesn't look like it is.
i create a new value in the GL account (flexfield), set the qualifier and query:
select * from FND_SEGMENT_ATTRIBUTE_VALUES where creation_date>sysdate-1
no records retrieved. -

i found this post:
https://forums.oracle.com/message/10247434#10247434

"Error : Line 1 Error - Value 120 for the flexfield segment Company does not exist in the value set XX_GL_COMPANY"
This error message is shown when the user is entering the expense report in R12 Oracle Internet Expenses responsibility. After the user has finished entering the expense lines and after the user has reviewed the default expense allocation values in the expense allocation page, upon clicking on the next button , this error message is shown.
Has anybody experienced this issue?
We have opened a Service Request with Oracle but so far there is no resolution. This issue occurs intermittently. It is NOT consistent. We have advised the user base with the following workarounds to over this bug:
1. The system administrator shall clear the cache using Functional Administrator responsonsibility
OR
2. Advise the application user to sign-off from Oracle Applications and allow 5 minutes before they sign-in again.
Any help or advise in the matter is appreciated.
Thank you.

Help needed regarding Segment Qualifiers
Hi,
In my process of implementing Apps R12 afresh, we just created the segments and assigned them their flexfield qualifiers today. In that, the one assigned towards alancing segment shows the value qualifiers like that of natural accounting segment, unlike the bal. segment value qualifier.
I mean, when we try to insert a a value in the bal.segment it asks for qualifiers such as nature:expense/revenue/liability/asset, instead of going for the allow posting and allow budgeting alone. This is crazy, and I need your support.
Thanks,
Mukunthan LHi Amit,
Thanks alot for your reply. Its really helpful for me.
So,we usually enter these relationships manually only, right? Before going ahead with the custom program, could you please let me know whether there is any SAP note related to this.Once again thanks alot for you help.

How to default the KFF segment values based on other field's value
Hi,
I would need to reset the 5th segment value of "Liability Account" field on R12 Supplier Page under "Accounting" link.
Condition: And it has to be based on some other value like "GLOBAL CONTEXT VALUE and TaxPayer ID Type" under "Organization" link.
Right now; as per the seeded page it defaults the Liability Account to "BL-130-0000-2110-0000-0000" under accounting link; I need to change this default value to "BL-130-0000-2110-2641-0000" based on above condition.
I have tried using the below code:
OAKeyFlexBean oakeyflexbean = (OAKeyFlexBean)oawebbean.findIndexedChildRecursive("LiabilityFlex");
oakeyflexbean.setText()
But this one does not work.
Can anyone suggest me some option to acheive this requirement.
Thanks

Intercompany balancing was unable to generate the intercompany account in AP
Dear all,
I have an invoice in AP the status is validated but not accounted.
I am having the following message
"Intercompany balancing was unable to generate the intercompany account. Please check the intercompany balancing rules setup"
I have followed the steps in doc id 749579.1 but the issue has not been resolved.
Grateful if anyone can provide me with a quick solution since this is preventing a period closure and the preparation of final accounts.
ThanksUnable to access the file, which is uploaded to SR.
Please provide some of the error in Create Accounting file along with journal entry.
Check whether the code comabination of intercompany journal line, which create accounting is trying to create to balance the balancing segment is valid or not.

" ID Generic for the flexfield segment Address Style does not exist"
"ID Generic for the flexfield segment Address Style does not exist in the Value set $Flex$DF_contexts"
Can some one help with this iRecruitment issue.Just enable the context for the other countries within the definition of the address flexfield. You should then get a drop down list of countries, select it and then the flexfield definition of the address will refresh according to your selection.
Check that the original definition of the address flexfield on the personalisation page includes all the other contexts.

Hi
In Oracle Apps, you can handle intercompany transactions in two ways.
1. Having a separate 'Intercompany' segment in the Chart of accounts
2. Setting up a separate intercompany account combination.
Can any one tell me the advantages and disadvantages of each?
Regards
RamaswamyHi ,
My requirement is to setup intercompany journal function through GIS in 11.5.10
Though I've multiple books, for simplicity sake I'll discuss setup between 2 books only ( Book A and Book B both USD and using the same COA and calendar)
Here are the following steps I performed.
1.Setup a GIS book (Book GIS) with parent previliges
2.Assign a GIS super user responsibility.
3.Create Book A as subsidiary by logging into the GIS super user responsibility. in Subsidiaries window. The Intercompany book and local book refers to Book A.
4.Create Book B as subsidiary . The Intercompany book and local book refers to Book B.
5. Created 2 responsibilities one each for Subsidiary A and Sub B and assigned the appropriate subsidiary book in the profile option.
6. Setup clearing accounts for Subsidiary A and B.
7.Login as sub A and created sender side transaction. Then login in Sub B and entered receiver transaction, approved.
8 Transfered into the respective books and could see the interco journals in book A and B.
Now the question is
1. Is it the correct setup for GIS ?
2. What purpose does the 'Book GIS' satisfy. When I query for journals from that book using the journal find window , I don't see the interco-journals.
Thanks -
How do i restrict the balancing segment for a particular legal entity
Hi All,
There is a new feature in Release 12 where i can restrict the balancing segment values for a Legal entity. How do i implement the same in an OA Page.Do you mean to say that the feature is enabled on forms and you want the same on OA page? Sounds contradictory.
Is it something related to functional setup or are you looking for customization through coding?

ORA-31050:Access denied when trying enabling the database-native Web servic
Dear all,
I'm trying to follow the instruction of OBE about "Using Oracle XML DB Web Services for Service-Oriented Architecture " as this url http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/db/11g/r1/prod/datamgmt/xmldb2_b/xmldb2_b.htm#http .
I would like to enable the database-native Web service end point in Oracle XML DB and I already execute the script to create Web Service Endpoint.
Anyway, I got the following error.
ORA-31050: Access denied
ORA-06512: at "XDB.DBMS_XDB", line 528
ORA-06512: at "SYSTEM.ADDSERVLETMAPPING", line 91
I found that this procedure was created on system schema but the problem occur when I tried to call ADDSERVLETMAPPING procedure.
This is a code that I used to enable.

To delete the IDOC Segment in the Inbound i.e.Item Data
Hi All,
Idoc is received for orders05 as inbound.
The IDoc Data contains two levels of item data
i.e. Segment E1EDP01 - In this we Pass only the quantity.
in the Sub Segment of item E1EDP19 - Customer Material in the segment IDTNR with qualifier 002.
The same segment is repeated again but the customer material is different.
Now need to check the material, if it is different, i need to delete the entire second item segment and put the customer material in the Segment E1EDP19 which has empty field.
His there any Function Module or so to delete the incoming data of the idoc through inbound?.
Could you please let me know if there any way to do the same.
Thank you.
Regards,
Dinesh.yes here you can access only one segment, if you don't control that here, then the information will be populated to xvbap. or else you can even try to implement the error handling exit EXIT_SAPLVEDA_008 /EXIT_SAPLVEDA_011
already item information will be populated to xvbap table . so try to delete the item from xvbap also
