R12 Install Error: how to check stage area by MD5SUM / dos2unix

Hi,
I am facing R 12 Install Error at Stage 3 to 5 at 92%... Windows Xp SP3
I have searched alot through this forum and resolved most of erros but for this error i found Hussein Sawwan always telling other users to run md5sum checksum for stage area integrity and i do the same thing but my md5sum command failed for all lines with error: ": *FAILED open or read*"
How do i try to make it a unix file using: dos2unix <checksum file> <checksum file> ?
Just give example commands for dos2unix <checksum file> <checksum file>.
One more thing,
I have downloaded Zipfilles for R 12.1.1 edelivery.oracle.com and when i run the sript file in rapidwiz folder *.PL Command window appers copy StartCD in the directory where is specify then a messages comes to insert CD/DVD for rdmsDB !!!
What i do i m not using any CD/DVD ...??

R12 install Error

Hi,
The install stops at step 2 of 5 at 20% with error message,
"RW-50004; Error code received when running external process. Check log files. Running database install driver for ADA instance"
The only errors I can find in the log files are:
DBinstall.log
F:\oraDB\Disk4\dbts\stage\db87_RDBMS.zip at E:\oracle\ADA\db\tech_st\10.2.0\
AutoConfig is exiting with status 0
Applydatabase.log
F:\oraAppDB\Disk7\data\stage\data_dat20.zip Failed:

unzip: cannot find either F:/oraAppDB/Disk7/data/stage/data_dat20.zip or F:/oraAppDB/Disk7/data/stage/data_dat20.zip.zip.
.end err out.
Unzip47 - Completed native unzipping unzip -qn F:\oraAppDB\Disk7\data\stage\data_dat20.zip -d E:\oracle\ADA\db\apps_st\data\
Thread exiting ..I've check to see if this file is there, and also unzipped it again to the location, but still i get the error.

Having done a clean up, reg clean, followed the metalink for unistall. I created a new storage area and then started again. still getting the same error at the same stage!

I'm installing this on a MS VM running windows 2003 server. This is hosted on a vista machine, could this be an issue? In past i've installed Oracle 11i on a VM, but the VM was also hosted on a windows 2003 server.

I was wondering, how do I check the installed ram for faults?
Is there a application etc with Mountain Lion that would allow me to do this?

I've had a look at the link but couldnt see any mention if it checked ram for faults. Can you confirm that it does check ram for faults?

R12 Install - error when selecting a professional form

Hi Guys,
Just installed R12 on Linux accessing via VM machine on windows desktop. The application has installed correctly and i can log into the application self service screen but soon as i try to go into
professional forms i get an error on my IE page. When i look at the details i get Error Permission denied... any ideas as i dont want to reinstall again ?

Hi,
Actually there is no standard way to find out the logged User, there is a Work Around it is.
One way of checking is to goto
Administration -> License -> License Administrator on the Left side of the User list... If any user name is in Gray in Color then it means that user has logged on.

I need to know how to check what are the roles assigned to a particular user ? I want to know the user has SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER and SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER_MAIN roles. How do I find this out ?

Note that you can assign roles to both Java and ABAP stacks
SU01 is correct for ABAP.
This is an example from PI 7.1 but a similar concept applies foe XI 3.0 etc
For J2EE administration go to the url http://hostname:50000/nwa
Users and Access
Identity Management
Search Criteria - Select as required then enter a username
ABAP
UME Database for J2EE functions
etc
Then select the user to view details

How can I print emails? Printing Error message that no printers are installed. (Printers are installed.)

When I click File > Print, I get a Printing Error message that no printers are installed. Printers are installed. When I click Yes to install a new printer, I receive a new error message that "Windows can't open Add Printer / The local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine." I updated to the new version of Thunderbird 24.6.0. Using Windows 8. I restarted the machine. I confirmed printers are installed using Control Panel. I do not see any way to restart a print spooler. How can I fix this? Thanks.

The print spooler is a windows service and is required to print. I would hazard a guess you can not print with any application.
What I am saying is I think your windows instalation has a problem, not Thunderbird.

from the link given , it describes that for self service parts planning code is "SPP" . Can you please confirm ?It is part of "Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP)", so run the query in (How to Find Out Product Installation Information in Oracle Applications? [ID 1275690.1]) and pass the module name.
Similary can we get the product codes for all shared products, installed products and non-installed products. The doc referenced above in this reply will list all the module names, with the product codes and the status.

One resolution to your issue would be to update your iPhone using iTunes on your computer rather than over the air. This requires much less space on the iPhone as most of the work is done by the computer. See this article for how to do it -
