R12 login port change required while changing enviornment files

Hi,
I cloned an r12 instance. But before I initiated the postclone activities and so on I took a backup of the existing instance in the target server. But now there is a requirement to bring up the old instance with conditions:
- Different Oracle Base
- Different EBS port and so on.
Is it ok, if I proceed with just running a post clone script on the old backup taken. Or there any other methods to achieve this.

Regards,It is OK to proceed with the cloning with the old backup. Rapid Clone (postclone) will take care of the new Oracle Base and EBS ports/hostname/domainname ..etc

If you want to transfer the data from SAP to legacy system, through ALE u need to have translation programs, u can use BAPI's for this.

BAPI-structure: invalid change message while changing structure field lengh

Hi Experts,
I've one structure which is used in many BAPIs.
I want to change the field lengh of one of the field in the structure.
When I'm activating it, it is giving me message BAPI-structure: invalid change.

If your BAPI is released, you wont be allowed to change the structure, so you should un-release the BAPI, BOR and FM before updating the structure parameter.

All default routing value has to be changed, while changed the work center in production order

our client they want to change the work center in production order.according to production version work center also they are changed.so while change the WC,all the default value has be changed as per routing what we maintained in routing.At present we have to enter the manually change the W.C as well as set up time and operation time enter manually.Any other option to do the automatically capture value from routing while change in Work center in production order.pl help me on this.

Thanks for reply. I am maintained in diff value maintained routing , Ex :First routing i have work center 'X' value maintained as a setup time in 15 Min's and operation time 10 Min's
second work center 'Y' I have maintained as set up time 10 Min's and operation time 30 Min's,
Now I want to change the work center in production order as a 'Y' so whatever value maintained in routing , it has to be changed automatically (10 min's and 30 Min's), but system will not change only old value only picked (15Min's AND 10 Min's).
Now I think you get to know what the client requirement, kindly do the need full.

How to keep data in session while changing webshop in ISA 4.0?

I have one requirement in my current project. We are showing Webshops in "categoriesB2C.jsp" file in "left" side. We have four webshop as below.
1) Shop By Market
2) Shop By Product
3) Shop By Quick Ship
4) Shop By Price.
I am hiding webshop in "Categories.jsp" selected in "shoplist.jsp" now when I put some product in shopping cart or I login in B2C. and then click on any link of webshop which I have provided in "categoriesB2C.jsp" I am using below link

Dr. Iman, thanks, but I made your suggested change and the same result applies. I removed the "Close File" vi from the loop and even wired a "False" boolean variable to the "Close When" port of the "Write to C" vi. The results from previous loops are still being over-written by later loops leaving only one loop of data by the time the vi is finished running.
Any other ideas? I have attached the latest version of the vi that I am working on this.

Problem while changing Business Area in Cost Center Master Data

I am having a problem while changing the Business area in cost center master data, the system does not allow to change the business area due to the following reasons;
1. The transactional data already exists for that cost center
2. The desired date required to be changed, falls between analysis period 01.01.2000 to 31.12.2999
Can anyone help me in order to reslove this issue

I reinstalled Itunes a couple of times. I unistalled all programs that I never use, I updated all of my drivers, Windows swept my computer and found no problems. I have a yellow causion lite when I look at the USB-port with the phone connected. All other devices work without a problem.

Try Transaction Variant, you can customize the screen using this tool.
Basically, you customize the screen (hide, make it required, visible etc) then
save it as screen variant and define a new transaction code to it.
So for your user, just give them this new transaction code (instead of SAP standard).

MM Pricing Condition Type values in Condition Tab updation while CHANGE PO.

The process of PO creation and PO change is through inbound IDOC posting.
I created a PO with configured MM pricing procedure.
While creating PO, the PO is created as required with different Condition Type value break-ups [PBXX, Discount, Surcharge etc] in the PO as required via Inbound IDOC processing.
While CHANGING the same PO, the Condition Type break-ups [i.e. pricing related values] in the PO are NOT changing in the PO via Inbound IDOC processing.
What needs to be done to update the Condition Type break-ups in the PO while changing PO through IDOC processing process?
This problem is not occured while manual / on-line changing of PO valueS and saving the PO & exists through IDOC processing method ONLY.

SAP Portal unable to recognize AD requirement to change initial password

Hi,
We configured Active Directory server (2008 R2) as UME for SAP Portal (Netweaver 7.01 SP7). We matched as many of the security parameters as possible* (ex. minimum password length, require one number in password, etc.). The AD parameter "User must change password at Next logon" is set ON. However, upon attempt to login to SAP Portal with the initial password that was set in AD we are not prompted to change the password. Rather, the SAP Portal logon attempt fails with message: "Authentication Denied"
Has anyone dealt with this problem before?
Other information:
*Our MarketPlace researched indicated that the SAP Portal parameter "ume.ldap.security_policy.password_change_required" (which would correspond to the AD parameter mentioned above) is no longer an available parameter for our SAP Portal version (Netweaver 7.01 SP7).
In our version of SAP Portal, the AD parameter "User must change password at Next logon" has one parameter which is similar, but does not directly correspond. The SAP Portal parameter which we do have is "No password change required". Notice this is the logical opposite of the AD parameter: AD says to require the password, whereas SAP Portal says it's NOT required. Therefore, when the AD parameter is set to ON, this results in the Portal parameter being set to OFF. Even still, we face the login failure.

You have to note here that implementing SAP IDM is only ONE of the possible options you have. The implementation of IDM in itself is a huge undertaking because of the number of systems and the decision making process involved with it.
In one of my previous implementations, when SAP IDM was not around, we had Tivoli Access Management tools which took care of the password problems.
even though we implement IDM and deploy IDM UI on Portal , still user should change password before it expires on AD right ?
Even with IDM in place, user will not be able to login to SAP portal with an expired AD password. However, in our case, we provide a link on the logon page of SAP portal to the IDM password self service application which will allow the user to change the password.
Does IDM has any feature like sending notifications before password expiration period ?
I don't think it does - however I have not explored this option in IDM since most of our users do not have email addresses and we cannot send a reminder. You should be able to create a task (with some customization) in IDM to achieve this.
Also will the IDM implementation help us in creating users with option "User should change password at next logon" on AD ?
Yes - IDM does create users with option "User should change password at next logon" in AD.
With IDM in place and tied to AD, it should be the central place of creating users. It is recommended NOT to create or manipulate the users in any target systems (SAP, AD, etc). IDM should be taking care of all the user provisioning activities.
is this like a work around to allow users to change password from Portal before it gets expired on Active Directory(AD) ?
This is not a work around - it is rather a full blown identity management solution for all your company needs.

How to get the old and new statuses of CAD indicator (DRAW-CADKZ) while changing the status of document (DRAW-DOKST)?

I want to delete the originals of document while changing the status of document based on CAD indicator status. For this I have implemented BADI DOCUMENT_STATUS01 and the method AFTER_CHANGE_STATUS. From this, the BADI is triggering whenever I am changing the document status and I can able to delete the originals. But here my requirement is to check the CAD indicator status to delete those originals. I.e. whenever the document status will change first time the CAD indicator status will also change. Based on that old and new status of CAD indicator I have to do delete operation.
If anybody has an idea about SAP documents please help me

First the document is exists in SAP in FR status. But when the CAD system will connect to SAP then the status is changing from ‘FR’ to ‘IN’ after that the CAD Indicator is populating from Blank to ‘X’.
I want to know in which place the CAD indicator value is changing (any user exits available or any BADI s available when changing the CAD indicator) when connected to CAD system.

Change the permission while placing the file

I have a production issue :
I am placing the .txt file into a SFTP server location from a SFTP Location[NO Transformation in the file]. (Sender and receiver channels are SFTP)
I am using user- user1(for example) which have the read write access to the particular folder, hence when it places the file it places with 664 permission .(This permission gives only user1 as read/write access , but other user have read only access).
The requirement :
The user2 want to deletes the file from the particular folder location , they want to know by any means can PI change the permission while placing the file into that location so that user2 can also have read/write access.
Can you provide the opinion whether it can be done using SFTP receiver channel or any other option to change the permission of the file.

As far as i know the permissions are related to the folder and the User not for files
While creating the access, a particular user authorizations related particular folder, not related to files.
So this should be done some thing like by giving the read/write access to user2 as well

Making ECR No. Compulsory While Changing Material BOM (T. Code CS02)

In our business scenario, we want to make ECR No. compulsory while changing BOM using transaction code CS02. Process which we are looking at would be as below.
1)     Default initial status of BOM will be set as u20182u2019 (Inactive) through customizing.
2)     ECR No. should not be compulsory for transaction code CS01.
3)     When BOM creation is completed, status of BOM will be changed to u20181u2019 (Active With History Requirements) by user.
4)     When user goes to transaction code CS02 for changing BOM,
a.     If BOM status is u20181u2019 & ECR No. is not entered, system should give error message (Message No. 29045) & should not allow user to go further.
b.     If BOM status is u20182u2019, system should allow user to change BOM without entering ECR No.
5)     Once BOM status is set to u20181u2019, system should not allow to change it.
Please guide me how this process can be achieved.

If my understanding is correct then it seems you want to make change number as mandatory for CS02 alone.
apart from the configuration settings in OS27,setting the correct value for the authorization object C_STUE_NOH,normally it will be
made for all the T.Codes CS01/CS02.In your case you want to make it mandatory only for CS02 alone,So check in this way.
In this case you may have to create 2 different roles,one containing the authorization only for CS01 and for authorization object
C_STUE_NOH with Yes.
The other role for CS02 alone for the authorization object C_STUE_NOH with value set for No.
The same user should not be containing both these roles.(for Roles creation check with your admin consultant).

Change PO while doing Goods Receipt

We are getting GR data through inbound IDOC. We have a a requirement to change the PO while creating GR document.
Scenario is like : We have ordered Material 'A' in the PO but we received an equivalent Material 'B'. So while processing the inbound IDOC I need to write an enhancement which ll change the PO for Material 'B' by calling BAPI_PO_CHANGE and then ll create the GR doc.
Standard message type MBGMCR and IDOC type MBGMCR03 getting used here which is having Process code BAPI. Its calling 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE' and 'MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT'.
Movement Type 101.
I dont want to create enhancement inside this standard BAPI to change the PO. Please advice if any other way we can achieve it.

I gave a try to your answer, just to learn something.
The test I did is the following one:
- Create a PO with one article,
- Use my method to change the G/L stock account: it won't work,
- Use yours, it works.
Beside this, this isn't a big deal, since they aren't any journal entry created during the saving process.
I'll then:
- Transform my PO into a GRPO. The modified G/L account is keep during the process.
- Add a new item (the same) and tried both method to change the G/allways account. Again, only your's worked.
- I then add a third item (always the same) and don't tried to change the G/L account.
At this moment, I have a GRPO with three different items, with two different G/L account and only one item with the standard one.
I then saved the GRPO and looked at the generated journal entry:
Only the standard G/L account is used.
For the fun, I tried to create directly a GRPO, changed the G/L Account, saved it and looked back at it to view the journal entry. The same (standard G/L Account used).
For the original question, the real answer seems to be: no way from the marketing documents. If you need this (organizational reasons for example), the only way to achieve it is to create different warehouses, each one with the correct G/L Account.
From my tests, there are different things:
- First, the UI isn't coherent: I'm able or not to change the G/L Account used. If yes, then when the "G/L Account" Active option is set, I should be able to change the corresponding value for a given Item. If not, then I shouldn't be able to click on the Active option for the bespoken column, and I shouldn't be able to change the general option just like you suggested.
- Second, their seems to be a bug when I change the value of the column, since what's used to generate the journal entry is what's parameterized and not what's inside the UI.
