R12 on Windows 7

We are trying to acces R12(12.0.6) from windows 7 with IE 9
but it is giving error upon opening the forms :
frm-92050 Failed to connect ...Please help

Pl confirm you meet all of the requirements in MOS Doc 389422.1 (Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12).
Pl post the complete error message from the Apache log files. Enable Java Console and post any error messages from there.

Install R12 on Windows XP

Gurus-
I have a Windows XP sp2 , 1gb RAM and 40 GB internal HD with 500 gb External HDD. Trying to install R12 on windows.
Also I have all the set of CDs/DVDs sent by Oracle. Please advice on below items
1. What are the required CDs?DVDS that I need to use to install R12 only?
2. Can I install all the CDs for the above configuration?
3. Can I install R12 on the Exteranl ( 500 gb) HDD? ( any specila steps to be followed for External HDD).
4. Any links( urls or Forum Links) for the easy step by step installation procedures
Please advice as I am new to R12 and installation procedures and have worked just as Apps Developer.

I am able to use databaes.. but i am not able to use application.What is the error you get?
Please make sure you have a proper entry in the hosts file.
even also help me to setup $APPL_TOP and related TOP Paths..Source the env file under $APPL_TOP directory, this will set all environment variables for you for the application tier.

If the answer is yes, please share your experience.
It is not important at this point whether Oracle has certified Windows 7 or not.
I just want to know if this can be done.

F. AmorsoloWindows 7 is not certified as you mentioned above, and I have never heard of any successful installation of 11i/R12 on Windows 7 Professional/Home (32-bit or 64-bit).
You could create a VM, and use a certified OS (Windows or Linux) then install R12.

I have seen posting about the installation of EBS R12/i11 saying it does not work with Windows Vista (64 bit). I went ahead and tried it anyway to see what kind of errors I get and to confirm if the errors I get are consistent with other people using Windows Vista. FYI, my installation went as far as 99% complete of step 2 of 5 before it errored out. I checked and noticed that many components of EBS have been installed with status equal zero which is good.
When I got the "TNS-12541: TNS: no listener", I went to Windows services, located the Oracle TNS service that was created by the EBS installation and tried to start it. Then I got this error: "error 1053 the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion". I googled the error message and the resolution is: "To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.". I have tried this but it does not work because my Windows Vista uses a higher version of .Net Framework 1.1. I have done more research but to no avail. However, it is fun as I learn many things about the EBS intallation and Windows Vista.
By the way, these are the steps when I run the rapidwiz on Windows Vista. Click on Start => Click on command prompt => right click on command Prompt => select run as administrator => CD to the path where the rapidwiz reside. Somehow if I use the regular command prompt the installation will die on step 1 of 5 even when I log in as administrator.
In your case you are using Windows 2k3. Make sure your OS is not 64 bit. Whenever you get an error and it does not say much, google it to see the resolution and make sure you read the Installation Guide. Hope this helps.

Windows 7 is NOT certified as an application/database tier node, the list of certified Windows OS can be found in (Note: 761567.1 - Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.1.1) for Microsoft Windows Server (32-bit)). So, download the Windows version of the 12.1.1 files from e-Delivery website and install it on a certified OS.

You need to use mkstoolkit or cywgwin to work EBS on windows coz of to can run some perl and also can use some command as kill, ps, ls etc..Apps tier also need that program can compile something inside.

Thanks for the guide, anyone with experience in Windows, do you know if the Server goes to sleep, that once it is woken up, that the R12 instance would work fine? I think the application will not be accessible when the server does to sleep.
I would ideally like to let the Server go to "Sleep" when not in use. Once a user wants to test something, they can wake it up using WOL, then login to the instance.What is the point of letting the server goes to sleep? I would say that you may need to bounce some services then which is not a feasible solution -- You may verify this and try it yourself.

Thanks for your reply. I will not buy any type of Windows Vista for this purpose. I will buy a desktop PC with Windows XP Professional (32-bit) and with 500 GB. The Oracle Installation Guide recommends about 233 GB (dosk space) for a fresh install with a Vision Demo database. Do you think 500GB is more than enough for the initial install? Does it matter which processor I buy (AMD or Intel)? Do have any recommendation as to what processor should I buy (E series or Q series for Intel processor)?

Its proven that R12 cannot be installed on Vista Home or Vista Basic.
Well, my question is very specific - Has anyone successfully installed EBS R12 on Windows Vista BUSINESS?

Please note that Windows Vista is not certified as an Application/Database tier. RapidWiz will not be able to recognize the OS version. Even if you try to make RapidWiz understand that you are trying to install on some other Windows OS version (i.e. like Windows XP), RapidWiz will not complete successfully.

R12 on Windows XP - Concurrent Manager Service

I installed R12 on WIndows XP.
It is working fine, but concurrent Manager Service is not getting created.
I tried with Auto Config...and also running directly ccmsvc.exe...
It always errors out displaying a window which reads Oracle Applications Concurrent Manager service encountered an error and needs to close. We are sorry for inconvenience.+
I looked at the Application log in Event viewer. It says Application: ccmsvc.exe and faulting module ntdll.dll.
Does any body know how to fix the faulting module ntdll.dll error....?

Sorry for the delay...I was sick all these days....
I did restart the machine.....
THis is the error report in event viewer...and the version of ntdll.dll appears to be 5.1.2600.5512
Faulting application ccmsvc.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.5512, fault address 0x000249ab.+
