There are many known issues and it depends on what modules you are referring to. What you could do is searching MOS website for (Upgrade R12 known Issues) and go through the docs. You could also search the forum for threads which discuss the same topic.

Network disks must be configured so that the operating system sees them as local disks. If they are seen as network disks by the operating system, the Oracle E-Business Suite will not function properly.
Anyone knows what's the difference between 'network disk' and 'local disk' and how to verify from "operating system"?

anything you heard whether success or failed on installing to network drive?
based on my exp, both RapidInstall and RapidClone failed on network drive -- services created in control panel but failed with
'Error 3: The system cannot find the path specified'Did you try to change the start up of the services to manual, and check then? Let the machine map the network drive first (i.e. see it as a local drive then start up the services).
or have you heard installing onto external hard drive w/ usb connection? Yes, I have seen lots of successful installation of Oracle Apps on external hard drive with USB connection.

Known Issues & Brtools Upgrade for SAP Netweaver 7.01 with Oracle 11.2.0.3?

We are currently on Netweaver 7.01 with below SAP components running on Unix OS AIX 6.1 and Oracle DB 10.2.0.4
ERP 6.0 EHP4
CRM 7.0
BW 7.0
EP 7.0
Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 on Windows
Now, we are planning to upgrade oracle from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3.
Can anyone please help us to have answers to below questions
1) any Known Issues / Problems faced and troubleshooting guide related to oracle upgrade 11.2.0.3 ?
2) Our SAP Kernel release is 701 patch level 150, do we need to upgrade brtools to 7.20 as specified in SAP Note 12741 ?
3) What could be the testing done after upgrade, apart from running DBcheck and update statistics ?

R12 upgrade issue:Not able to login using forms:Please help****urgent

We have recently upgraded our instance from 11.5.9 to 12.0.4 in Windows 2003 server.
We are unable to login to forms after upgrade, however we are able access self service responsibilities without any issues.
We are getting APP-FND-01496 when we access any forms responsibility. We have tried all possible metalink notes with no luck.
Any help to resolve this issue will be appreciated.

I’m not aware of any critical issues with the shuttle item, or any other items, for that matter, regarding upgrade to 3.1.1. However …
Version 3.1 introduced extensive use with the ‘FIELDSET’ tag, in all the compound items, like data picker, checkboxes, shuttle etc. This use might cause some layout problems, or the need to adjust some JavaScript code, but nothing that can’t be overcome. You can read the following for some more details:

Other than that, and as far as my own experience goes, it’s a smooth upgrade.

11.5.10 to r12.1 upgrade, TCA issues/questions

This is a fairly "advanced" r12 TCA question for the experts:
We are upgrading from EBS 11.5.10 to r12.
We also have a separate instance of EBS 11.5.10 in which we use "Oracle Customers Online" for our "CDH" (Customer Data Hub) that sends (spokes) party data to multiple subscribing systems. We are going to absorb this CDH instance into the upgraded r12 environment.
The r12 TCA upgrade takes all suppliers and creates NEW TCA structures for them (parties, sites, contacts, etc). Many of the suppliers overlap our customer parties in the real world (suppliers who are also customers). Additionally, these suppliers/customers have also been spoked to many other systems with the supplier segment1 + vendor_site_codes (same as our customer party_number/party_site_numbers).
1. We thought of merging the customers into the suppliers and then editing party_number/party_site_number to be the same as the original segment1 / vendor site_code, but ran into the following issues, of which the first below is most important:
-- r12 Upgrade makes ALL suppliers (regardless of vendor_type_lookup_code) into Party_Type 'ORGANIZATION', which cannot be merged with Customer Party_Type 'PERSON' parties....
-- Party site merges will not work if we don't have the EB Tax Geography MASTER_REF country/state/county/city/postal_code's defined for the hz_locations.
The party type issue above is important for existing data but also for new suppliers. PERSONs will never be able to merged in the future, between Suppliers and Customers in either direction.
For the sake of getting all these parties de-duped into single parties, I changed some of the supplier ORGANIZATION party_types to PERSON (and hence I also created an hz_person_profiles record using TCA api's). But after doing this, when we update the supplier through iSupplier Portal, it updates the underlying party_type back to ORGANIZATION. If I were to make this change, then merge PERSON customers into these Suppliers, and then a user updates the supplier data, then the whole party will get updated from PERSON to ORGANIZATION, which I think would be bad for our customer processing (and other modules in other spoke systems subscribing to party create/update events).
Also, if we are forced to leave suppliers separate from customers in case of PERSON entities, then I will especially have trouble trying to send a complete party definition to subscribing systems, since there are 2 parties instead of where there should be 1.
Any ideas about how to overcome this issue with r12 Suppliers integration with TCA ?

Are there any known issues with Adobe Edge Animate and Yosemite? Experiencing performance issues since upgrading OS. Animation I was working on that had been performing in browser fine suddenly stopped working, and was not related to any action I had done at that point. Also was working in it today and program stopped responding to key board short cut commands.

I am having a whole slew of odd interface problems with a fresh 2014.1.1 on a fresh macbook pro with latest Yosemite. Program locks up, cursor selections don't show, things disappear. I have a mac mini also and the program runs fine on it. Is there possibly something related to the solid state hard drive in new macs?

It sounds like you're seeing some unexpected behavior in Mail.
Before troubleshooting on your computer, I'd strongly recommend backing up your data to an external hard drive with Time Machine, if you haven't already. This article can help with setting up Time Machine:

Next, try creating a new user account on your computer. You can add your email account to Mail in the new user account. If Mail is more responsive in the new user account, then Mavericks is working fine and the behavior is caused by conflicts in your own Mail or user account.

I am doing R12 upgrade, as part of it, i have applied R12 AD patch, now when ever i am trying to appy English patch, i am getting below error, any ideas

Able to change watermark with ver 10.1.10 (mac) on doc secured using 9.5.5.windows. Is there known issue? Workaround?

I watermarked a pdf using Adobe Acrobat 9.5.5 running under Windows 7. The doc was then secured Advanced -> Security->Encrypt with Password. The permissions box was checked, a password added and the doc saved - indicating "secured". A completely different person, who did not know the password replaced the watermark using Adobe Acrobat 10.1.10 running on a Mac. Is there a known issue or a patch

This is a pdf document was secured using Adobe 9.5.5 on a Windows 7 laptop.
It was changed using Adobe 10.1.10 on a r Mac
Security was added to the pdf as follows
Advanced -> Security->Encrypt with Password. The "Encrypt all document
contents" radial was selected and under Permissions the "Restrict editing
and printing" box was checked. Then the doc saved - indicating "secured" The
pdf properties indicates changes "Not allowed"

If you don't see the AirPlay icon in Control Center:
1. Turn off router, Apple TV and iPad
2. Turn on router and then wait 30 seconds for it to complete start-up process
3. Turn on Apple TV and then wait 30 seconds for it to complete start-up process

I am using Creative Cloud on my Mac running 10.6.8 and there have not been any real problems except it is running a bit slower. I am considering upgrading my Mac to the latest OS X 10.8.1 and wonder if anyone using Creative Cloud has upgraded or is using it on 10.8.1? There should no issue for SharePoint 2010 with install SP3 for SQL2008R2 (also like comments mentioned in article below), I searched from internal and internet, there seems no document/article mentioned the known issue for SharePoint about this, you can
back up your environment and test the SP3 in a test environment before touching the production environment.
