thanksi assume you are applying RUP 6 patch. regarding your query I dont it will matter much if you just let it to be default that is 'Yes'.

  • Error while Apply Patch 8764069:R12.FND.B (Patch 8764069)

    Hii...
im upgrading my oracle apps from 12.0.4 to 12.1.1 and following the metalink document
Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Maintenance Pack Installation Instructions [ID 752619.1]
Now while applying the Patch 8764069:R12.FND.B (Required),
    it returns a error like
    AutoPatch error:
This patch is not compatible with your current codelines.
This patch is compatible with: entity 'fnd' - codeline 'R12.FND.B'.
Your current on-site codeline for the entity 'fnd' is: 'R12.FND.A'.
You should not apply this patch.
Apply an equivalent patch that is compatible with your
    current codelines instead.
    AutoPatch error:
A fatal error related to codelines or codelevels has occurred.
how can i resolve my issue..??..plz suggestt

Now while applying the Patch 8764069:R12.FND.B (Required),
Patch 8764069 is "POST USERMIGRATE TO HASH PASSWORDS, AFTER 12.1 UPG, FNDCPASS FAILS DECRYPT" and it required R12.FND.B to be installed.
    it returns a error like

    AutoPatch error:

how can i resolve my issue..??..plz suggesttYou are on R12.FND.A patchset and you should have R12.FND.B patchset installed in order to apply this patch. This is clearly explained in the patch README file -- https://updates.oracle.com/Orion/Services/download?type=readme&aru=11652182
So, apply R12.AD.B.1 (7461070) as mentioned in the README file then patch 8764069:R12.FND.B using "adpatch preinstall=y".

  • R12 upgrade patch clarification

    Hi,
We are in the process of starting the R12 upgrade patch.
Because of security issues the unix team is not installing VNC software and we regularly have network issues.
Is there any other alternative of running adpatch so as to overcome this issue?
    Regards,
    Narayan

    Hi;
If they not give you vnc session than you need to run patch on server.AFAIK there is no other way.

  • During R12 upgrade adworker for patch u6678700.drv fails for afopp002.sql

    Hi Experts,
During R12.1.1 upgrade from 11.5.10.2 adworker for patch u6678700.drv fails for afopp002.sql
The exact error being faced is
    sqlplus -s APPS/***** @/u03/oracle/CRP1PROD/apps/apps_st/appl/fnd/12.0.0/patch/115/sql/afopp002.sql &un_fnd &pw_fnd

    declare

    APPLSYS.FND_CP_GSM_OPP_AQ failed, outstanding transactions found
    ORA-06512: at line 15
I even tried restarting the worker, bounced the database and even tried running u03/oracle/CRP1PROD/apps/apps_st/appl/fnd/12.0.0/patch/115/sql/afopp002.sql manually which hangs for indefinitely.
    Any suggestion.

    Hi Srini,
Let me walk you through briefly regarding the upgrade process:
Initially the existing instance was 11.5.10.2 with 9.2.0.6 database.Last year the database was upgraded to 11.2.0.1 and configured with 11.5.10.2
However the 11g database upgrade steps specifically for EBS 11i(interoperatibility notes for 11i with 11g database) was not followed properly.
And one of the major key issue identified was the 11g Example CD was not installed on top of 11g software during database upgrade.Which is the pre-req for 11g upgrade in EBS
And as per my experience it creates issues during R12 upgrade (patch u6678700) and giving errors pertaining to oracle text error.
SR was raised for the same and was suggested, since there is no other option kindly install the Oracle 11g software and on top of that 11g Example CD and map the 11g database and go ahead with the R12 upgrade.
Now coming back to the core issue being faced, Pre-req followed properly. No errors in alert logs.
Can missing the Example CD installtion be the issue?

    Aman Vats

  • Hybrid Tablespace model after R12 upgrade

    Hello,
I have done with the upgrade process from 11.5.9 CU2 to R 12.1.1 successfully, the instance is up and running. However, after checking the DB objects, I found that the old tablesapces have alot of DB objects. as shown below. Can I rerun the OATM tool now and do the migration?
    SQL> select tablespace_name, count(*)

    4 group by tablespace_name;

  • Merge patch for R12 fails on hpux. eof_admerge12.sh

    Hi Vikki,
Just some more notes for Maintenance Wizard on HPUX.
I was having some problems with the steps that download, merge and apply post r12 upgrade patches.
The first problem was that admrgpch was core dumping and saying it couldnt find libraries.
    This was because
The libraries that needed to be copied were libclntsh.sl.10.1 and libnnz10.sl rather than their .so counterparts.
This is even though I am on PARISC.
Also I had to set the following variables in eof_admerge12.sh
    LIBPATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH; export LIBPATH
    SHLIB_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH; export SHLIB_PATH
(Not sure which of these fixed the problem.)
Finally. When the admrgpch was failing it was leaving hanging processes and not finishing.
The following line of code was guilty
    grep -i ${EOF_PATCH_TOP}/merge_dir_${INSTANCE_ID}/admrgpch.log
    I changed it to
    grep -i error ${EOF_PATCH_TOP}/merge_dir_${INSTANCE_ID}/admrgpch.log
    Thanks
    Rod

    Rod,
Thanks once again for the great HP-UX feedback! I've logged bug 7831822 for my team to take a closer look at the issue. :)

  • Upgrade patches for 10.1.2.3 during R12.1.3 Upgrade

    Hi,
Need clarification about 10.1.2.3 patches during R12.1.1 to R12.1.3 upgrade
I am following the note Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 Readme 1080973.1 and applying the patches "Forms and Reports for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 Document 437878.1"
I am not clear whether I need to apply the Patch 8919489 - R12.TXK.B.Delta.3 before applying any other oneoff patches, this patch seems to be included in R12.1.3 and I am applying these patches of R12.1.13 upgrade
    Thanks

Thanks Hussein for the confirmation, I have another question regarding the CPU Oct 2012 patch for 10.1.2.3 Oracle Home
I am following the CPU patch note 1486535.1 and as per this note, we have to follow another note Document 1354842.1 for 10.1.2.3 patches
Patch Availability for Oracle Fusion Middleware 10.1.2.3
Is Patch 9593176 only relevant for 10.1.2.3 OH with R12.1.3? Could you pls confirm?
It is applicable to 10.1.2.3 ORACLE_HOME.
    Thanks,

  • 11i-R12 upgrade: when to apply patch 8919489

I am performing an 11.5.10.2 -> R12.1.1 upgrade on Linux-x86 using the Maint Wizard (MW).
MOS ID 437878.1 says to apply patch 8919489 (R12.TXK.B.Delta.3) BEFORE applying the bundle forms patch 9593176 (and any missing patches) as part of the OAS 10.1.2.3 upgrade.
The MW has patch 8919489 being applied AFTER the OAS 10.1.2.3 upgrade patches (done in MOS 437878.1) and after the main 12.1.1 upgrade patch (u6678700.drv).
Does it matter when this patch is applied?
    Thanks

I suppose that I should clarify.
    - The MW says to follow MOS 437878.1 BEFORE starting the primary upgrade patch
    - MOS 437878.1 says to apply patch 8919489 as a pre-req patch
    - The MW says to apply patch 8919489 after the primary upgrade patch
So, is it to be applied along with the other 437878.1 patches or after the primary upgrade patch?
I don't know where MOS 437878.1 is referenced as part of the 11i-R12 upgrade outside of the MW.
    Thanks

  • JAEHYLEE (R12 FND) R12 Upgrade후에 ORA-20001 FND_CANT_INSERT_USER_ROLE

    Purpose
R12 Upgrade후에 System admin에서 권한을 assign할려고 할때
GET ORA-20001 FND_CANT_INSERT_USER_ROLE 에러가 자주 발생 합니다.
    Cause
    Upgrade to 12.0.2.
ORA-20001 error는 이미 권한이 할당되어 있을때 발생합니다.
The ORA-20001 error is often caused by the responsibility already being assigned.
    Solution

parameters : 100000, Yes, Yes, No로 수행을 하시기 바랍니다.
    Reference
    Note 454988.1

please check note( Supplier Registration Page Gets Error java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20001 )
Note:330350.1 althogh its for 11i but the cuz seems right
    Cause
The root cause is that FND.H changes fnd_user_resp_groups from a table to a view which return
end_date as year 9999 instead of the value of null in the underlying data. The code in
confirm_has_resp expects the end_date of the pos guest user resp to user guest to be null, and if
not, trying to insert the assignment and fail (because the assignment already exists and active).
Development provide the cause in bug 3610633

  • R12 upgradation :  query regarding patch 7461070

I have to apply patch 7461070 as a part of upgradation. It's written in patch note that "must apply critical patch 6767273:R12.AD.A before applying the AD Mini pack". But how to check that instruction are not clear.
    FI :
We only have izuprod.txt file under 11i APPL_TOP/admin
    $ ls -ltr *prod.txt
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 egapc2d appseeg 231650 Oct 30 2004 applprod.txt
    -rwx------ 1 egapc2d appseeg 4966 Oct 20 2006 izuprod.txt

Run the query in (How to tell what your current AD patchlevel is. [ID 390671.1], under "Release 12 Single Tier" or "Release 12 Multiple Tiers" section), if you are on (Patch 4502962 - R12.AD.A) then you need to apply (Patch 6767273) before applying (Patch 7461070).
    Thanks,
    Hussein
