R12 with 11gR1

Dear Hussein,
As you know i am doing this upgrade. Now my current situation will be R12.1.1 with 10.2.0.5.
If i want to upgrade my EBS database base to 11gR1 can i use the 11gR1 that came with R12.1.1 while installing code tree for upgrade.
I mean i will follow steps in the doc
Interoperability Notes E-Business Suite R12 with Oracle Database 11gR1 (11.1.0) [ID 735276.1]
from point 10 of section1. Will it be ok.
Or I have to go through the whole procedure.

Or I have to go through the whole procedure.You have to follow all the steps under "Section 1: Upgrading an R12 Database to Oracle Database 11g Release 1 (11.1.0)".
Please note that 11gR2 is certified with Oracle Apps R12, so I would suggest you go with 11gR2 instead of 11gR1

For Rac I am using both same OS (linux 4) for both nodes .
Plz suggest its possible to install two nodes on different machine(diiferent virtual machine on different system ) .Can communicate both machine without any problem if its possible plz provide links.

Problem with installing R12 with Win 2008 (Rapidwiz 12.1.1.9)

I could really use someones help.
I did a download recently of Oracle Financials R12 for windows (I'm using WIN 2008 server) which contained version 12.1.1.9 Rapidwiz. I was unable to get it to work as individual DVD's which is fine, I build the staging area and had better results.
The first error I encountered was the release contained JRE 1.6 but the install referenced 1.5. I took a suggestion that I saw to copy the directory and rename it which worked just fine.
The next error I encountered came during the database install. There was some problem with the database service. It sounds similar to a problem discussed about just the database not related to Oracle Financials but the "fix" to just start the database doesn't seem to apply.
Below is the Rapidwiz log. The warning first mentioned is to check to be sure that the Administrator user being used in the install belongs to the administrator user group which of course it does.
I've brought to the top of the log, the error that I think is occurring. Please help me install, I'm trying to evaluate the software but having trouble with just the install is concerning.

R12 with 2 node 10g RAC is not updating with autoconfig correctly.

Getting Error FRM 92050 while opening the forms in R12 with IE

Hi DBAs,
I am able to open up forms using Firefox but when I try to open up the form with IE 7 or 8 getting message FRM 92050 : Failed to connect to the server. Can you please help me what setting I need to perform in order to user R12.1.1 with IE.

Please post the complete error message (from the application.log file). And, verify that you use a certified client OS/Browser as per (Note: 389422.1 - Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Customer Recommended)).

When we are trying to Import Child Items of a master organization item, with a template name, records in the interface table are not picking up at all.
We are doing this in R12, please let us know if any new columns become mandatory or what else could be the problem.

Oracle E-Business Suite R12 with HACMP

Hello,
I'm planning to make a dtsirbuted installation of Oracle E-Business Suite R12 like the flollowing configuration :
- Node 1: Web and Forms
- Node 2 : Concurrent Processing.
The two nodes NODE1 and NODE2 are going to be in cluster HACMP, if Node1 goes down for example the Web & Forms Services Will be started on Node 2 and vice versa.
- Node 3 : DB physically clustered with an other Machine Node4(empty).
I need to know is this a possible architecture in a technical point of view especially for the application? and what are the configurations to perform?

Recovery in R12 with user managed cold backups

We have R12.1.1 ( db 11.1.0.7 ) on RHEL 5.3 ( ALL SET UP 64 bit ).
we have user managed cold backup scheduled with tar -czvf command.
Archiving is enabled. Production server is 2 nodes ( Apps + DB ) .
Suppose we have backup on hard disk and our Production server ( db is crashed ).
we will prepare new server copy the backup from Hard disk to new server and run adcfgclone.pl scripts.
What else do we need to do on this new server to go live ?

2. If you dont run than you can create same user, same mount point on new server and try to relink oracle binary(I assume you have also ORACLE_HOME backup) and try to make up your system
