R3 dev to XI server

HI,
After uploading data to a z table in R3 server, can we make a XI scenario to be executed in XI server automatically.
Means i do not logon to xi server, through R3 server only I want to execute XI scenario.
Will this be possible??

I mean to say that my xi scenario is to be executed on the basis of uploading data to a z table in r3 server.
I will upload data in z table in r3, and i configure a scenario in xi in which it access this particular z table. so once uploading is done in r3 server, the scenario what i configured is to be executed in xi server.

there might be some standard functionality for TMS but if you can't find anything then you can still use BADI CTS_IMPORT_FEEDBACK. The only method if this BADI is called right after import of each transport.

from the ftp site. Where is the server part? Even when I do a

Problem in sapscript form from dev to quality server - 333 to 555

Hi,
I am working on a script form in which i am performing the modifciations in the form but the problem is when i try to check it ,it says the form does not exist.
Actually the (dev) 333 server contains no dat as it is simply for the new report code where as 555(Quallity) Server is the replica of the Prd server and the valid data is present in it.
I had try to perform the cpoy form client ,but it is allowing me to it in the quality as the error msg comes:-
Changes to Repository or cross-client Customizing are not permitted
Choose 'Display object' or 'Cancel'.
Plzz provide me guidelines how to solve this problem.

From what I understand from your first post, I think 333 and 555 are two different systems like dev and quality and in this case you will not able to get the sapscript in 555 by doing SCC1.
You will have to attach the script into a transport request (when you change and try to save it will ask for a TR , click create new and save it - you will have to assign a package which you can check in the attributes of the script and use the same ) , activate the script.
Now go to SE09 , for your user name , display request and you will find the Transport request and task under it.If you feel the changes you made are complete, then release the Task and then release the TR.
Now you need to request the basis team (or who ever is authorized ) to import this to the 555.

Restore QAS how DEV in new server

Dear experts,
We have an old server installed with enviroments (DES) and (QAS) with schemes DES/SAPSR3 and QAS/SAPSR4 and the DBSID=DES; but in the new server it will be the DBSID=DEV since according to the installation guide they are not possible to be called equal.
We needed to pass these enviroments (DES and QAS) to a new server that already we have ready of the following way: Through homegeneous system Copy.
We required that enviroment QAS scheme QAS/SAPSR4 becomes our new development enviroment that will be called DEV with scheme DEV/SAPSR4, since the data that this in enviroment QAS we needed it like the new development enviroment DEV with the DBSID=DEV and to create a new quality enviroment that will be called QUA with clean scheme QUA/SAPSR3 without data.
As they are the steps to follow to make this.

DEV you did homogenous system copy from QAS
and fresh installation for QUV right??

In dev server i am getting correct output in sap script.But when it is transporting to quality server alignment is different.Printer name is same both in dev and quality.Please give an answer for this query.

Hi Suresh,
This could be a problem with the Sapscript buffers. Try running the report RSTXDELL on the system to clear the Sapscript buffers?
To do this you can use RSTXDELL report with default settings except it is better to have * instead of the current client number in the Client field.
After this, create a new spool and see if the problem is resolved?

What exactly this error iam not able to trace . Before releasing the object from the
development server i have see any error's are there the extended check hasnt given me any errors either.
The help for this error says that

i have did what sap has said ............. i can see that in the quality server a custom badi
of FI module has been in error. Will this be a reason for my badi ...which doesnt have any error..
any one have idea on this error pleae let me know.

How to install the DEV on RAID server?

I am interested to Know that what are the preconfiguration required for installation of ECC 6.0 (Dev system) like
At the time of installation,
1. Install win 2003 with latest patch
2. installation of Database( Oracle or MSSQL)
3. Then Is loop back adpater is requirred?
4. What entery should be maintain in host file in directory Driver?
5. BC set are already activated? or should be import? How?
6. How to check the which BC set are available?
E.g. some of consultant facing problem like at the time of material master enter then only
few view or option are available then how to check?
I have some basis knowldge but not at this level.
I have already install the IDES 6.0 but i know actual SAP and IDES installation
is different things.

Custom SSRS report dev from Lync Server 2013

Trying to replicate canned Lync 2013 User Activity Report, but with more filtering capability, using SSRS. Necessary to do this way because we're adding details like user name, department and location from our Active Directory.
Have been unable to ever find support on WHAT the query or stored proc IS behind the UA report. If I have that code I can incorporate that with our data.
Any help appreciated!

SAP "Z" Script Transport from DEV -- TO-- QTY Server

Experts....
We have created a Z SAP Script. in DEVELOPMENT CLIENT : 100
We have successfully transported the changes from DEVELOPMENT CLIENT to UNIT TESTING CLIENT 120 in the same system thru SCC1.
UNIT TESTING RESULTS are OK, and our DEVELOPER has given a request to import into production.
But we imported the request, But changes are not reflecting in QUALITY.
I found below thread but i failed to understand...the last steps...
Can any one please help in this regard.

Finally.....We could able to close this....
Weunderstood....to do inital fill in target client we do it from "000" clinet to "XXX" target clinet
once it is available ..the rest all goes with CLASSIC TRANSPORT APPROACH.
Not sure why the inital Transport request with changed did nor worked.
With the help of ABAP Expert...we just reactivated the in SE71 and added into request
imported the request into Quality & Worked..
When the inital fill is completed for SAP Standard ,
the rest of changes to is managed thru SAP Classic Transport Method.
For "Z" script..even no where connected with "000" client.
As we fixed with above assumptions...we conclude as above....
i request any expert to correct us if our assumptions in wrong direction.

Smartform working fine in DEV and Quality But Problem in Production server

i had done a smartform ..that is working fine in devlopement and
quality server but the data in few of the column not appearing in production
server.i had debug it and found prolem in S0RT Syntax ..Had not faced this kind of problem before i had 20 records in my itab.
iam sorting it by vbeln and posnr ....
and deleting the adjacent duplicates ....comparing veln and posnr...
both are same ..in 20 records .
but iam fetching the adrees number at first in the loop.
so the first record of table is with adrs number...

Required to take backup with out TSM in PROD server.

Dear all,
I required to take backup with out using TSM .
we have got error in TSM . so that i am getting error .
Prod server backup is working automated through TSM .
now i need to take Online backup with out using TSM like DEV and QA (Manual backup) .
For DEV and QA server backup is manual . i am simply moved the tape to tape library and fired the online backup as well same QA also .
Now my query is reqiured to take backup with out the help of TSM in PROD server . Is it possible ?
2 profiles are configured for Online backup and offline backup .
pls check the below profiles .

[Transport / CTS] Production servers on a different site than dev servers

Hello,
My current customer has his development servers on a physical site A and his production servers on a physical site B (distance between the sites is 300kms).
How can we do to tranport the developments and customizing from site A to site B.
The customer doesn't want to mount sap/trans from site A to production servers as the exchange are not secured...
We will use CTS+ in a complex environment (ECC, BI, EP, SRM, PI, Solman)

you can copy the datafiles and cofiles from dev to prod server and then manually add the transports in import queue of production server and do the transports
