R3 extraction into BW

i need to extract the data from table S546 in R3 into SAP BW 7.3.
Could you anyone send me how to extract the data from S546 to BW 7.3.

Hi,
I don't think S546 is a normal transparent table. i guess it is something like setup tables, i.e, cluster tables. As mentioned in my post above info structures above S499 are custom built, created by ECC folks and you would not find any std extractor for this in RSA5. I don't think there would be much documentation on this as well. Try transactions LBW0/LBW1, create datasource on the info structure.
BW version should not be an issue for working with info structures. My suggestion would be to take functional help in understanding the data you need from this infostructure (which base tables feed this info structure), then check for std LO extractors to meet the requirement. If you do not find any, then think of creating a generic extractor on the base tables (not S546).

Hi,
you do not have to copy the extractor, you can enhance it with fields and fill them via enhancement coding --> rsa6.
If you want to copy it, you need to check what kind of extractor you have. Is it a function module or just a table extractor.
for fm: copy the function module via se37 and copy the extract structure via se11. Add your enhancements in the copied structures and coding. Create a new datasource with rso2.
for table extractor: create a view adding the additionally needed fields. create a new ds with rso2. Surely you need to add some coding in the relevant enhancement.

Automating the mass activity FPBW (pscd open items extraction into BW)

Hello all -
We are trying to automate the PSCD mass activity for open item extraction into bw. We have tried using the t-code FPBW (how you would run it manually), and we have also tried using the mass activity scheduler - rfkk_ma_scheduler. We can't get it so the key date updates each week. Can anyone provide some guidance on how to get this automated?

Custom Document & Custom Doc Legal Control Extraction into SAP BI

Dear All,
After all the business content for GTS was activated in GTS and SAP BI, the following configuration steps were taken in GTS to extract this data into BI for
reporting:
[1] Integration with Other mySAP.com Components > Data Transfer to the SAP Business Information Warehouse > General Settings > Maintain Control Parameters for Data Transfer [Used ECC as guide]
[2] Global Trade Services > General Settings > Organizational Structure > Control Settings at FTO Level for SAP NW Business Intelligence (BI)
Inserted new records missing when comparing to Assgmt of Feeder System Grouping Org.Units to LLS Org.Units table [/SAPSLL/TCOOGS]
Turned on BI Active flag for all records
[3] Global Trade Services > General Settings > Document Structure > Define Document Types for Application Areas
For each document type in all the folders, turned on ‘transfer to SAP Netweaver Business Intelligence Active’ flag where it was available to be turned on.
[4] Global Trade Services > General Settings > Document Structure > Define Item Categories for Application Areas
For each item category in all the folders, turned on ‘transfer to SAP Netweaver Business Intelligence Active’ flag where it was available to be turned on.
Focusing on custom document and custom document legal control extractors, the data comes from /SAPSLL/CUIT which contains 113K records in development, however, the amount of data extracted into BI is minimal. So I have a few questions:
Did I miss any additional configuration swithces to extract into BI?

Should all the data records from /SAPSLL/CUIT be extracted into Custom Document DSO [0SLL_DS01]? If no, why? If yes, refer to pt 1 and what am I missing?
SAP Documentation: Only data that belongs to the legal controls for the following legal regulations is transferred to BI:
German Foreign Trade Laws
Prohibitions and Restrictions
Other What is the significance of these legal controls that SAP has decided to only transfer this type into BI? If the client want additional legal controls, would it be possible to extract them into BI?
If anyone is currently using the std content for BI reporting, any assistance with my questions would be appreciated.

Hi Claire,
Your customizing looks correct. But the amount of data extracted depends on your condition you have defined during extraction(e.g. Creation Date)
Also in the coding only /SAPSLL/CUIT~ITSTA = space (Standard Item) and A (Item is allocated) is considered in 0SLL_CD_1.
You could find out reason by debugging to find out exact reason.
T-code: RSA2 , Enter Data source : 0SLL_CD_1. Then click display.
Click Extract check ( Shift + F8 ) and put break point in coding FM : /SAPSLL/BW_GET_CD_1

I am looking for help regarding SRM DataSource Extraction to BW. I am working on BW project and need to extract data from SRM Data Source 0BBP_TD_CONTR_2 and 0SRM_TD_PRO. I need to know about the extraction process from SRM. Is there a tool available like LO Cockpit in SRM for extraction and how can we manage the delta in it. Or i can use the T-code RSA5 for that and follow the normal process. If I can get some documentation that can give me an idea for data extraction and delta management in SRM that would be appreciated. Any kind of help will be welcome.

R/3 Hierarchy not extracting into BW properly!

Hi,
Can anyone suggest anything regarding the following...
I am working in a SAP BW v3.5 environment and I need to extract a hierarchy from R/3. A new hierarchy was built in R/3 based upon 0Account and was originally extracted into BW OK.
Changes were then made to the hierarchy in R/3 and I'm now having problems extracting it into BW as it just brings the "original" version of the hierarchy.
I've tried deleting the hierarchy completely from the BW side and extracting it again (after replicating the DataSource) but without any luck as it just brings back the original hierarchy and not the latest amended version.
Could the R/3 guys missed something / not done something or could it be an issue on the BW side?
Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Time Stamp issue will come if there is time difference at server level may be in min. only. That will come even after retransporting the data source again, so better to reactivate the data source in the PRD system itself with the standard programm RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL. Select only the data source you want to activate.
Regarding the hierarchy check out any dependency object need to be loaded first with reference to that this updated data will get displayed. Ex: for loading product hierarchy first we need to load the 0PROD_HIER object data so that the updated node will get reflected.

Calling ABAP Extracts into XI
What is my understanding for the above scenario will be follows
1. Build the ABAP extract (basically SQL from what I understand). This SQL dictates the structure for master table.
2. Build a BAPI wrapper around the extract program.
3. Import the model into XI like any BAPI structure. (this is a standard RFC integration development step)
At that point XI could receive the structure and read the data as pure XML.
Please let me know if this is the best approach for this

After craeting ABAP Extract Function module, i guess all i need to check REMOTE ENABLED MODULE under ATTRIBUTE section. So that it can be imported into XI in general
Btw my scenario would be
The function modules in Target are enabled for remote access (for example, by Source). The program logic and input parameters of the function modules reside in Target
I guess the best approach i come across the above scenario until morning.
Now its better to go with ABAP Proxy
Which inturns makes you not to write a BAPI to create structure. Which is additional work. Proxy is not on IE. It directly talk to R/3 Which is good in performance wise.

This problem is very simple to solve. Simply use Pro*C, issue an SQL select into a host variable, then use unix "printf" to output the result. An alternative is to use the provided sqlplus utility to grab the data in a script, disabling headers, etc.
Sadly, this area is a huge, basic hole in the Oracle product offering. While they have an import utility, there is no export utility, except for one that makes binary files not usable outside Oracle. Every other RDBMS I've seen has this. In Informix, you can say something like "export to <filename> select * from <table>", but that syntax is not offered by Oracle Corporation.

CO-PA Extraction into BW

Hi all,
We are looking to extracting CO-PA data into BW for use in reporting. I understand that the COPA utilises four tables namely:
CE1XXXX-Actual line items
CE2XXXX-Plan line items
CE3XXXX-Summary table
CE4XXXX-Segment table
Some of our reports require line item data - and some require summary level data. Our questions:
- Are there any standard SAP extractors that can be utilised to pull this data? If so, what are they?
- It is expected to pull summary data on an hourly basis...and pull line item data on a daily basis. Performance wise, what is the best approach: to have two separate extractors to pull from CE1XXXX and CE4XXXX or to use one extractor to pull from CE1XXXX and summarise within a DSO and extract the summary data from this? As mentioned, summary data will be required every hour.

1. There are no std extractors for CO-PA as it is a generating application. The 4 tables get generated when the CO consultants create and activate the operating concern. As Praveen mentioned, you would have to create the datasource from KEB0.
2. I guess we cannot control what data to be extracted, and from which table we extract data, using the CO-PA datasource. While creating the datasource we can choose characteristics from various sections like segement level, segment table, chars from line items, etc. If you need to select and have selected any char from the line items section, the extractor always reads the line items table, CE1****. We cannot make it read any other table. May be you could load the COPA line item data into BW and aggregate within BW.
If none of the chars from the line items section are chosen except for the mandatory record currency char, then we have the possibility that the extractor could read tables other than CE1****. CO consultants could create summarization levels which are aggregated sets of data. These would be automatically read by the extractor if the mentioned condition is met.

By default CO-PA works on a 30 minute safety interval. The extractor doesnot extract the records posted in the last halfhour.

Loading of lis extractions into cube

hello everyone,
i have extracted say 2lis_11_vasth from r.3 to bw and all the transformations, infopackage and dtp have been done properly, but wen im going to the contents of the cube i see the fields but not the data. before replicating in rsa3 it shows x number of data records, why am i not getting the data into the cube.

Custom infotype in HCM and Extraction into BI

Hi
I am unable to build a custom extractor from view in hcm to extract the infotype 0102.
could you please help me out in understanding hcm custom extractions?
The error message was: Invalid extract structure template PA0102.
Can I not create a custom extractor over any infotype? what about the custom infotypes?
Please help me in understanding this: If we create a custom infotype in R3, will all the data related to that reside in one underlying table or not?
Can I create a custom extractor to extract from the custom infotype without ABAP?

Hi Sarah,
I guess your is related to some of the amount or quantity fields included in pa0102. Check it out. They must point to unit fields also included in pa0102. In case they do not, it is not possible to use that table for extraction. You need to create a view on it as well as on the unit tables and include the unit fields into your view. Then it will work.

Mass ISU extraction into multiple BW systems

Currently we are exploring the option of extracting ISU mass data
0FC_BP_ITEMS, 0UC_SALES_SIMU_01, 0UC_SALES_STATS_02 etc.
The current situation is as follows:
There is a BW 3.5 system which extracts the ISU data via extractor cvia Mass jobs.
We customer would like to keep this extraction as is.
We are setting up a new BW 7.0 environment where we would like to use the same extractors.
Normally a BW deltaqueue is built up by logical targetsystem.
But is this case for extraction of the 0UC_SALES_STATS_02 we fill a table DBESTA_BWPROT with closed reconcil keys for
the BW extraction. I don't se a logical system in that table.
Is there someone who has experience in extracting ISU data from one sourcesystem into multiple BW target systems via Mass job extraction scenario's ?

Problem in Data extraction into BI

Hi Guys,
I am having a strange problem and unable to idenitfy the root cause. I am hoping that some one can help me with this issue.
System Details:
BI 7.0
SAP ECC 5.0
Current Design:
We have created a DSO in the BI system and created a custom extractor to pull the data from SAP ECC 5.0 into the DSO.
The custom extractor is using the option "Extraction Frm SAP Query" and using a custom infoset. This is the transaction type data source.
Problem Statement:
When I run the RSA3 transaction for this extractor, the extractor brings 1870 records. However when i run the Infopackage in the BI system to bring the records into the DSO --> PSA then i am only getting 823 records.
Question:
Why am i seeing this difference in the number of records in RSA3 and in the BI system? I am NOT using any selection or filter conditions in the Infopackage. And i am only getting the data till PSA. So i was expecting that in PSA i can see 1870 records same as that i see in RSA3. Any idea what is missing?

The infopackage ran for full load and not for delta load.
I looked at the rsmo and at first glance everything looks fine. But when i look at the details tab i can see that the overall status shows as RED and it says
Overall Status: Errors occured: or : Missing Messages
I am not clear what this means. I dont see any other nodes in RED. Every node is in green except the top most node which is in RED and shows the above message.
Any idea what could be the problem?

Too many archived documents are suddenly extracted into BW

Dear All,
I am not person of Finance but I will try to provide necessary details here.
We have archiving in place in ECC. For a specific document, if I go to FB03 for the document, it shows the information but with message that 'Document is already archived'. Document is related to year 2011.
Now, suddenly too many documents were extracted last week spanning from year 2009 to 2011. When I check in 'Document changes', it shows that last change was done in 2011 only.
I want to know what possible change could cause these archived documents to extract again into BW.
or any pointers are also welcome.

If you bought it from Apple, you are covered by one year of AppleCare, which includes three months of free phone support, for any problem. You should take full advantage of that. It sounds like you may have hardware issues (the audio jack) but a lot of your items sound like a matter of changing preferences or display settings - Apple can help with this, as can a local friendly Mac consultant.
For example, you mention that you get a "screen-wide mass of writing". Do you know what application you're opening the file in? Many Mac apps have full-screen mode, which sounds like what you describe, and you can get out of it by moving your cursor to the top right of the screen until you see the menu bar appear - there's a blue icon with two arrows, and clicking this will get you out of full screen mode.
QuickTime does not play all formats of video. Try an alternative video player such as VLC. (http://videolan.org/VLC)

SOLAR01 data extraction into BI

Hi,
This question was asked a couple of months ago but does not seem to have been asnwered. Is there a was to extract data from the SOLAR01 transaction into BI? There is reporting in SolMan but it would be nicer to use BI functionality.
If not an actual extract could someone tell me the tables and possible function modules used to read them? Can you even connect SolMan as a source system?

Hi BPNR,
You have two options:
1. Make the info-object time independent and pull the data from R/3.
2. Hard code the Date to and Date from fields in the infopackage to extreme values say 01/01/1900 to 31/12/9999 and extract the data from R/3.
