I got the following message when trying to install the latest update of iTunes:
Runtime Error! R6034
An application has made and attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
The iCloud was also installed and appeared to do so with no problems, but after several attempts to complete the installation, I finally uninstalled to program and re-installed it only to get the same message
I am also getting the following message: "Service 'Apple Mobile Device" failed to start. Verify that you have privileges to start system services."
I am logged in with administrator privildges.
I am running Windows Vista. Any help out there?
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

I just downloaded Itunes 11.1.4 (64-bit) update and am running Windows 7. First of all you can reboot your system
Restore your system, by the following steps:
Click start menu and then go to Run.
Type in the box regsvr32 c: windowssystem32msdatgrd.ocx and then click on the OK.
Now you can reboot your system in safe mode.
If you cannot find the specific files on your system, then you can download it form the internet and locate it to the accurate place.
Update your outdated device driver.
Replace faulty or failure hard drive
Hope above steps can fix runtime error code r6034 easily. If they cannot fix your problem then you can use third party repair tool to solve this without any trouble. -

Try updating your QuickTime Player to the latest version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?

I upgraded to the latest iTunes 11.1.4, after a prompt from the iTunes store. But will not open after the upgrade. One of three error messages told me to reinstall. I did. Restarted and scanned. But no help there. So I unistalled and re installed from Apples' website. The installation was okay as usual but still will not open. Keep getting the same error messages. I've had this problem for some time. I'm on Vista-64-SP2 running Photoshop-CS2 When first installed PS-CS2 worked fine. I got no errors when starting the program and I could drag & drop icons from the desktop or windows onto the Adobe taskbar icon and the photo would load normally.
Then I let Adobe automatically upgrade my CS2 and other Adobe products (Dreamweaver CS4, Illustrator CS2, GoLive6, Reader, Flash browser plug-in, etc.) and then I started getting a windows error message R6034 saying that "An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly." Microsoft says the fix is to recompile the application. Yeah right!
OK, so I delete Photoshop and other applications and reinstall them all and the problem goes away ... until I let Adobe automatically update the products and the problem comes back. Yes, I can probably live with an unupdated virgin version of Photoshop CS2 but there should be an answer from Adobe or at least someone else to validate that my complaint is not unique.
Another problem that may be related is that I've seemed to have lost the ability for Adobe GoLive6 to open Photoshop images for editing
Also I've lost the ability to drag & drop from the desktop or a window onto an open Photoshop application or onto its icon on the taskbar.
I've searched the web and find nothing similar. The solutions I have found were unrelated to my situation or were for a Macintosh. I've searched the forums here and find nothing that gives an answer.
I know pretty much what I'm doing around computers and I keep a clean system. Informed replies are most appreciated.I don't think you will have much luck on that one. The problem here clearly is the way 32bit DLLs need to be piped on 64bit systems, which for some reason does not seem to work in your case, probably due to soem registry key being changed and then it messes up the wghole OLE/ DDE/ COM shebang. It may be further complicated by some dispaly routiner incompatibility. Since CS2 was never developed with Vista 64 in mind, you can't even exactly blame someone and this seems a common problem with an assortment of legacy apps, not just Adobe programs. What you could try is to download Sysinternals' Process Monitor, establish a filter rule specific to the updater and see, which registry keys it changes, which DLLs it replaces etc. this may then offer some clues as to which ones you need to salvage before the update and may possibly put back into place thereafter. May work, may not, but in any case you are doing it on your own responsibility....

I went to http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925 and did a complete removal and reinstallation of iTunes. You MUST follow the directions here exactly...it's more than just iTunes that must be removed, and it MUST be done in the order in which the support article says. I followed the exact instructions, and iTunes is back on my machine (no more C runtime error) and you do NOT lose your music...it's all in my library, as it was before.

Error r6034 in trying to install iTunes on a computer running Windows 7
In trying to solve the problem of the runtime error R6034, I have tried all of the suggestions but cannot remove Apple Mobile Device. I moved on to the next program on the list and uninstalled all but that one. When I rebooted and reinstalled itunes I got the same r6034 runtime Error.
When that failed, I went to restore and chose a date that I knew itunes had worked. But after the restore, I received the same error plus one that said AdCore.dll file is missing. I'm stuck now since I cannot install iTunes. BTW, along with Apple Mobile Device not uninstalling, iTunes does not appear in my list of installed programs, so I cannot clean the computer of all apple software.

I attempted to perform the itunes update on two different PCs. Itunes will no longer open and prompted me to reinstall itunes. I've been having the same exact problem this morning, and from the looks of it a lot of other people are posting about this issue, so I don't know if it's maybe something wrong with the download but I'm just relieved that it seems to be that instead of a corruption issue with my windows installation. I'm just wondering how long this will take to be resolved.

After iTunes update I see this - Runtime error R6034 "application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly". ThenUninstalled then I also get iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes error 7 (Windows error 1114). I've tried fixes for runtime but computer says there are no errors. I've uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes and get all the above messages. Now when I start up my computer the runtime error pops up, but once it is closed computer works fine until I try to open iTunes. I've even tried a system restore going back to November. I use iTunes for audiobooks on iPod and I'm going to get desperate soon. Any suggestion?
