R61 Battery indicator flashes orange ... won't charge at all

My R61's battery level is at 0%. I have the Blinking orange battery Light and it won't charge at all.
I've reseated the battery, I've rebooted, I've gone to the Power Manager and Battery Maintenance to Reset the Battery.
All with no effect.
The power manager claims that the battery is in "Good Condition."

Hi, 3 LEDs..are on the front side ...form left to right....
Indicator LED Left: is Power Normal Blue
    LED Center is Battery status:
Blue : The battery is charged to 95% or more of its capacity.
Blinking blue : The battery is being trickle-charged
Orange : The battery is being normally charged.
Blinking orange: The computer is operating on battery power, and the battery is charged to no more then 8% of capacity.
RED is not documented... didnt hear that it could flashes in red... But could be a contact fault ... or have had problems at charging... sometimes i heard that it flashes orange between failure charging... and charges very slow...
that could be raised the time of charging to 8-12h... and then it flashes blue and orange but never red....
    Normal time for charging
    a 6 cell is fully charged in 2:40-2:50h ...
and i dont have the 3 cell ...but must be quiet equal in 1:20h - 90 minutes for the 3 cell batt...
    Right LED is wireless status...
If that happens more than one time, contact you local lenovo service for exchange the battery..

  • My MacBook Pro battery is empty and won't charge, but charger is fine

My MacBook Pro battery is empty and won't charge. I did the PRAM reset when there was still some power left in the battery. The charger indicator light doesn't come on when I connect it to MacBook Pro, BUT it works just fine with my old white Mac book. This happened a few times before, and unplugging and plugging the adapter into the MacBook pro helped. Now nothing happens no matter how many times I reset the charger. Is there anything else I can do?

More than likely you need a new battery.

  • Lightning bolt over the battery indicator flashes

What does it mean when charging and the lightning bolt over the battery indicator flashes??

It means that your phone is charging. When done charging, the lightning bolt disappears.

Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. If still nothing try Reset while on Wall Charger, this can take about 20 seconds of holding both buttons while on Charger. If still nothing and you decide to Restore you iPhone with iTunes on computer, you may need to use DFU Mode Restore. Here are steps: Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes. DFU Mode can be difficult to enter sometimes, just keep trying. DFU Mode is a black, blank screen with iTunes saying Recovery Mode.

    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. The cable as well as the iPod, is covered by the warranty.

  • My Iphone 4 won't charge at all

My Iphone 4 has stopped charging. It started when it had about 60% bettery, I plugged it in to the wall charger and the only thing it did was change the battery icon into a plug instead of a lightning bolt. After that it just kept losing battery until it died. Even when it's dead it'll respond to the charger and the red battery icon with the lightning bolt under it will appear to say it's charging but it won't charge at all nor turn on. I have tried different chords, outlets, even plugging it into my laptop. Before it died I tried the hard reset several times by pressing the home button and lock button at the same time, but nothing happened. Itunes recognized my phone when i plugged it in but it still wouldn't charge. I'd appreciate it if anyone could help me with this problem.

  • My iPad mini won't charge at all. I got it for Chrisrmas and it is still in brand new condition and it was fine but now it won't charge at all! It used to charge in an exact position but now it has stopped altogether...Help!!

My iPad mini won't charge at all. I got it for Christmas off my dad and it is still in brand new condition. Until the other day it has been working fine but until yesterday or the day before my charger went all funny. In order to charge my iPad mini you had to put the charger in an exact place and if someone so much as touched it it would stop charging because it wasn't in its exact position. But today I tried to charge it again and I tried getting it in the same spot as yesterday but it is not working at all. I have only ever charged my iPad mini in the wall but I have seen posts about people charging it in the USB in an computer. So I thought I would also try that but that hasn't worked either and now my iPad mini won't charge in a plug or USB and I live really far away from an apple store and I can't get a new charger also because I live far away from the store. So what shall I do?

When and where was the iPad/charger purchased? It's covered by a 1-year warranty.
The problem may be the USB cable.

  • My ipad won't charge.  All I get is picture of white USB cable and iTunes Logo.

My ipad won't charge.  I must admit, I did use it until there was only 2% power left and then went and plugged directly into power and not through PC... but it won't charge.  All I get is picture of white USB cable, an arrow and the iTunes Logo.  I have turned off and on again as previous posts but all I get is the picture of the USB cable, arrow and iTunes logo.  Please help...

I have been relatively patient - 3 hours on charge but all it does is show picture of USB cable and itunes logo. It it were charging you would think that a picture of the charge would come up to indicate status of charge - wouldn't you think?

  • My original Ipad is dead and won't charge at all. I've tried numerous chargers. How do I know if the iPad is "broke"?

My original Ipad is dead and won't charge at all. I've tried numerous chargers. How do I know if the iPad is "broke"?

Aside from taking it in to a certified Apple Repair shop, this may be a sign that it is dead.  Or there could some kind of damage to the connectors on the charge port.  I am guessing on that part because I am assuming that the other chargers you have used work for other devices.  It may be time to look into buying a new one if it is dead.

  • Apple just replaced my battery - but it still won't charge

    Hi guys,
Just got my macbook (white, 13 inch, late 2007) back from the apple store - they did a couple of repairs on it and also replaced the battery which wasn't charging. The lady at the genius bar did a few tests on it and charged the machine with another battery and said it was 'definitely' an issue with the battery and not the logic board.
Brought it home today, plugged in the charger but the new battery won't charge. The charger light won't come on which makes me think it's the power adapter that needs replacing. The orange light came on briefly a while ago and the battery did start to charge but this didn't last. Just wondering if anyone thinks the same as me? I've already ordered a replacement charger so I hope this resolves the issue.
The adapter still powers the macbook for now but I don't know if that will continue. :s

While you are waiting for the new charger, go ahead and reset you SMC:

  • Battery won't charge at all

I downloaded Coconut Battery and it shows that my battery is 31 months old and has 609 cycles on it. That is a lot, I know and it is probably time for a new battery, this point I won't argue. However, it shows the current battery capacity is 2857 mAh of 4200 (68%). But the current battery charge is 0%.
It lists the AC adapter is plugged in but says that the battery is NOT currently charging. So if it has 68% of its life left, why won't it charge at all? I have read many other posts and whenever someone says the battery won't charge, the advice is to condition the battery. But, I can't condition it if it won't charge. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There are several reasons that a battery that won't charge. You can isolate the defective module be swapping modules:
    - external power adapter
    - battery
If replacing those don't work, it's probably the internal power supply.

  • My iPad won't charge, reboots all the time and is stuck at 1% battery.

Since last evening, my Ipad hasn't been charging at all. When connected to a wall charger it recognizes that the charger is connected but normally there is a lightning icon that keeps blinking when the Ipad is charging correctly, that is not the case right now. The battery has been showing 1% since morning but its on and there is no low battery alert. Also yesterday the iPad kept rebooting every two minutes, today it has happened only a couple of times since morning. I have tried restore, hard reset, updating the software to iOS6, everything and still no luck.
Has anyone else faced this issue? What could be causing this?
    Thanks
    Priyesha

Yes, we all seem to have the same problem but nobody has offered a solution.  I've tried two different chargers, but it wont charge.  It seems to recognize that it is plugged into a charger and shows the lightning bolt but it's constant not flashing. If I unplug the charger then a plug appears next to the lightning bolt.
It seem that the connector inside the iPad might be broken...or it's some kinda software iOS thing as somone mentioned earlier...but I dont know how to get the iOS to reset when I cant see the screen.
    Any thoughts
