R7 240 Windows Vista 32-bit Driver

anyone know where to find the official driver from a MSI R7 240 2GD3 LP because i cant not find it on their site?

no there are non on the MSI site you would need to get a driver for it from the AMD website for that http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%20Vista%20-%2032#amd-catalyst-packages <--- 32bit drivers for your card are there!

I have a lot of problems with Vista driver. There is only one driver and it doesn't work correctly. Sometimes I have very bad noise, the sound skips, and it often has disturbance. When I connect the integrated sound card there are no problems. But I didn't give 00 $ for noise and to use intergrated soundMessage Edited by Botev92 on 05-29-20070:4 AM

Well to give Creative their due even if they took their time there are new drivers out for the X-Fi Xtreme Music and Vista and they work just fine. You can even select the different modes (entertainment, Game or Audio Creation) from within the Audio Console menu. Link:http://us.creative.com/support/downl...type=0&x=3&y=9

Is there something else I need to do for this to work I am running Creative Live Cam Voice. Thanks. Mark

I'm in a similar situation with the Intel 6850, 4 MB of RAM, and the Xi-Fi Extreme Music. I am running VISTA Home Premium 64 bit. I bought my new computer at the end of Sept. and the sound has been on and off mostly off since then. Most of the time I just get static. I have the latest driver installed (I think its Nov. 4) but very, very poor sound.

  • After rebooting my Windows Vista 64 bit system, could not access iTunes; after uninstalling I tried reinstalling, but it has been running for more than 24 hrs. Should I cancel installation?

I had been updating my Windows Vista 64 bit system and as a result of a problem, had to reboot my system. Afterwards, I was no longer able to access iTunes.  I got a message stating that there was a problem with some of the files associated with the application.  A phone rep at Apple's Customer Service provided me with emails linking instructions on completely uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. I did the uninstall, then checked for lingering iTunes files and couldn't completely remove some, but tried intalling the latest version of iTunes. It has been running for roughly 24 hours.  The status bar is green all the way across, and when I try to cancel, I get the following message: "Are you sure you want to cancel iTunes installation?"  I keep hitting "no," but am staring to wonder if there is a problem with the install.  Should it take this long if I have roughly 134 gigs of music?  I can still see the music in my computer's C drive, so I am worried that there is an error, perhpas because I didn't clear out all the lingering C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\ and all the lingering C:\Program Files\iTunes\.  Any thoughts?

It is not just the HP. I have 3 HP computes and 2 Dell computers. 2 of the HP and 1 Dell suffer the iTunes internet block. Took me a while to figure it out also. But, the one thing that is different on the Dell, is that I can leave iTunes installed and not open it and everything works. As soon as I open it, internet access goes down. BUT secure sites (https:) works fine.

  • Can't install itunes on windows vista 64 bit

I'm trying to install itunes on a windows vista 64 bit machine but keep getting the error message "could not access network location %appdata%\." Does anybody know what is the matter?

could not access network location %appdata%\
It looks like it's having trouble getting one of the iTunes preference files in. There's a couple in each user account (usually in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes and C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes).
Has a version of iTunes previously been successfully installed on that PC? If so, was it working properly prior to your doing the current installs?
What hard drive is your "Users" folder on? Is it the C drive or somewhere else?
If it's somewhere else, are your Program files also on that other drive or are they on the C drive?

  • Setting up iTunes on Windows Vista 64-bit

Make this a sticky please, I dont want to type it twice
In the 64-bit versions of Windows there are two locations for programs to be stored by default.
Program Files - All the 64-bit applications that can run with out any assistance from the 32-bit emulator.
Program Files (x86) - All the 32-bit applications that need the 32-bit emulator to help then run under the 64-bit versions Windows.
    Problem
When installing the latest version of iTunes (7.3.1.3) on Windows Vista 64-bit the install of the QuickTime software completes successfully, however when the iTunes software tries to install the application it produces an error message saying that it cannot find the QuickTime installation.
This is happening because QuickTime software is getting installed in the Program Files (x86) since it is not a 64-bit application. And the iTunes application specifically looks for it in the Program Files directory. I don’t know why the Apple iTunes programmers thought hard coding a path was a good idea, because they definitely could have looked up the install directory in the Windows Registry. As every programmer knows and has been slapped on the wrist by a more experienced programmer you should never hard code possible variations to your program. Especially if it is a hard drive path, because a non-standard install of QuickTime would lead to the same problem.
    Solution
Basically the solution is very easy and involves a new feature in Windows Vista called a symbolic link.
    1) Open up the Command Prompt as an Administrator (Go to All Programs > Accessories and Right Click on Command Prompt and then choose Run as administrator)
    2) Create a QuickTime folder in both Program Files (x86)
    mkdir "c:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime"
    3) Now we create a symbolic link to the Program Files directory
    mklink /d "c:\Program Files\QuickTime" "c:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime"
    4) Now install iTunes as you normally would by double clicking on the install program.

If that didnt work try this below:
    1) Open up the Command Prompt as an Administrator (Go to All Programs > Accessories and Right Click on Command Prompt and then choose Run as administrator)
    2) Type cd C:\Windows\SysWOW64
    3) Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll (This registers VB Script with your computer.)
    4) Now install iTunes as you normally would by double clicking on the install program and wait for iTunes to finish installing.
    5) Type regsvr32 \u vbscript.dll (This unregisters VB Script with your computer.)
THIS ONE COMES WITH A WARNING
TRY BOTH OF THESE AT YOUR OWN RISK
AND some thing below to consider about this second step, not the first post
To enabled, VB Script a scripting language that has been responsible for more trojan and worms floating around the internet than any other on the face of this earth. All in order to install one of the earths most popular programs to get our daily audio fix. So we have to disable security measures built in to protect the operating system from malicious code and leave our selves wide open. This would be the equivalent to Microsoft telling Mac People to disable buffer overflow protection in order to install Microsoft Office for the Mac.

  • Windows Vista 64 bit w/older 2 dual core 3.0ghz Mac Pro with NVIDIA 7300

I have read a variety of the posts that have appeared here on the use of Windows Vista 64 bits on a Mac Pro. I remain confused, and but want to do this. I have a Mac Pro purchased in the Spring of '07 with dual 3.0Ghz dual core Xeon cpus and 10gb of ram, using the NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT and running 10.5.1, with multiple drives. I want to run the 64 bit version of Vista Ultimate to use my ram, and to gain the performance this box should offer. It appears that I have three options:
    1. Boot Camp: I don't know if the drivers are available, seems like the new Mac Pro drivers probably would not work, even if I could find them, since I have an older Mac Pro with a pair of the dual core Xeon CPUs. Don't know if there is an alternate source than Apple for the drivers, or a way to get around the problem in boot camp.
    2. Parallels: I do not believe that 64 bit apps are supported by Parallels
    3. Fusion: Their web site says they support Win Vista 64 bit, but it is not clear to me on the web site where the drivers are obtained, or perhaps they are built in to Fusion. Will I get the performance and memory benefits in fusion? Or is the OSX virtual overhead so high that this is a fools errand?
I do a lot of video editing, and fully 95% of my life is in the Mac world, but I have individuals who send files for editing, and occasionally they require Windows tools, much to my chagrin. I also have a small number of programs that need Windows 64. I occasionally am required to do some development work, and would like to use this machine for that purpose if it can indeed run Win Vista 64bit. I have XP loaded on a more modest box andit is running fine when I need it, which isn't very often.
Any help, or successful experience in running Windows Ultimate 64 bit on this hardware, utilizing its resources would be greatly appreciated.

Here are my results after further digging online and from my own experience.
    Here is the procedure:
    1. Check whether your Mac has the 32-bit EFI or 64-bit EFI
    http://www.ihackintosh.com/2009/08/snow-leopard-106-and-64-bit-what-you-need-to- know/
    2. Create a Boot Camp (BC) partition for Windows 7 x64. Resize the partition size using the slider in the BC app. Follow the instruction, insert the Windows 7 disk and reboot.
    3. This will load the PC partition which is FAT formatted for now. Choose the Boot Camp partition on which to install Win 7, but choose in the option to format that partition. It will automatically format it in NTFS. Otherwise, it will not install on that partition.
Note : A "OEM System Builder" Windows 7 64-bit Professional UPGRADE install without any issues what so ever. The upgrade disk is a full install. Read this for further information:
    http://www.pcworld.com/article/174288/windows7_upgrade_madecheaper.html
    4. Run windows, then insert the Snow Leopard disk. It will tell you your hardware cannot support x64 version. Do the following procedure to manually install the driver:
    http://michael.anastasiou.me/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=22%3Aq boot-camp-x64-is-unsupported-on-this-computer-modelq-solution&catid=7%3Ahow-to&l ang=en
    5. Then update Boot camp using Apple Software Update in Windows.
    6. All hardware works fine except the sound. The sound only comes out of the internal speaker, even when headphone or speakers are plugged in the jack. Installing the Realtek High Definition Audio Codecs driver in order to fixe the problem. Shutdown and reboot to make it applicable. Try a second time if it still does not work:

    That's it.

  • ITunes for Windows Vista 64 bit

Is there any way to get iTunes to work on Windows Vista 64 bit? If not is Apple developing a version that will work in Windows Vista 64 bit?
    Thanks,

For a chance I tried in this way and (strange but true) it works:
I installed Quick Time alone (the 7.3 release), then iTunes, and this time no problem at all at the start up of both the programs.
Finally I installed the gear software driver and no warning message appear in iTunes.

  • Windows Vista 64 bit and bios update how? K9A2

OK Is there anyway to really update my bios so I can use my Phenom II if I'm running Vista 64? Ive read the live update info and I'm not sure that works with the 64 bit vista. The i read about the flash drive bios update and I'm not sure that's 64 bit compatible. As a side note why don't they have liveupdate 64bit compatible yet? Its been out for some time and windows 7 will be 64 bit only I would think.

The flash drive bios update is not depending on the operating system.

Sadly MSI hasn't yet supplied us with a 64-bit version of LiveUpdate.
Personally I've been using AMI's Windows Flash Utility AFUWIN.exe several times. Works flawlessly even when running Vista x64.

  • Windows Vista 64 bit and HP 2840 Color LaserJet All-In-One - Workaround

Although HP has not provided a workable solution for a use of a HP 2840 Color LaserJet All-In-One with Windows Vista 64 bit, I did manage to get it to work. The solution is a bit convoluted and may not work for all users but here’s how I did it. I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Not sure how other Vista versions may behave.
I tried many different solutions that did not work. Attempting to install many different versions of the HP 2840 software in different compatibility modes ended up rendering my other HP 4385 All-In-One inoperative.  I deleted every piece of HP software and hardware from my system and reinstalling the HP 4385 software. Still couldn’t get my 4385 working again. I finally ended up restoring my system to restore point prior to attempting to install the HP 2840. All this to say that if you’ve made several attempts to get it working you may need to back up and punt with a restore.
Make sure your HP 2840 is NOT connected.
Press the “Scan” button on the 2840 (The control panel on the 2840 should say ‘Waiting on PC”).
Plug the HP 2840 in via a USB cable. A “New hardware” message should pop up on the PC.
Minimize this window. DO NOT MAKE ANY ATTEMPT TO INSTALL DRIVERS. Just ignore this message for the moment.
In Windows, go to CONTROL PANEL/SCANNERS AND CAMERAS. Hopefully you’ll see a “HP 2840 LaserJet Scanner”. If not, the rest will probably not work.
Now hit the "Windows Start" button. Select "Programs" or "All Programs" (depending on your setup configuration). Open "Windows Fax Scan". It should connect to the 2840 Scanner. Experiment with the scanner and select flatbed and feeder input  to make sure it functions properly. Once satisfied that the scanner is working properly you can configure the printer.
On the “New Hardware Detected” window that you minimized in step 4, select “Do Not Ask Me Again For This Hardware”.
Connect the 2840 to your network via a CAT cable.
On your PC press the "Windows Start" button and select “Settings and Printers”.
    Select “Add a Printer”.
    Select “Add a Network Printer”.
Windows will scan your network searching for printers. It should find your 2840.
Select “Next” (It is not necessary to let the search complete once your 2840 has been identified).
From the dropdown list, select ‘HP” and “HP Universal Printing PCL 6". It was the last one in the list for me.
    Print a test page
You should now have a HP 2840 network printer and a local 2840 scanner.
O course the drawback is that you can only scan to the PC where the 2840 scanner is attached via the USB cable. You can print from any PC on your network by following steps 9 through 15 on each network PC.
Another little tidbit I ran into; selecting any other driver besides the “HP Universal Printing PCL 6" driver cause my Microsoft Office 2007 to crash any time I selected the "Save As" option. I found some links on the Internet that indicate this is a known problem. It may not affect you but you might want to play it safe.
    Hope this helps someone.

Uninstall the HP software using the uninistaller in the HP folder.
    Restart your PC.
Get the latest software for your printer from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • APPCRASH on Windows Vista 32-Bit

This has been happening for awhile now and is really getting under my skin. My computer is free of viruses and spyware (I'm a computer pro) and yet I still cannot figure this out or find a solution.
Every time I plug in my iPod to sync it on my Windows Vista 32-bit machine, iTunes automatically opens and then I get a Windows Vista Crash error. Regardless of how I answer that question, iTunes closes. The iPod then enters an endless boot loop. Reopening iTunes does not solve this, nor does restarting the computer. iTunes has been reinstalled several times and no luck. The only way around this issue is to force iPod into disk mode, format it, use iTunes (which works then) to restore it, and then recopy my entire library every time I want to sync it. The iPod still functions properly at all other times.
The details of the crash are as follows. Again, my computer is verified Spyware and Virus free and I have installed the latest versions of iTunes every time they come out to rule out an iTunes issue. This has to be a file conflict. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance!

ntdll.dll can indicate all manner of things, unfortunately. (I only tend to associate it's appearance in error event with malware on XP systems.) It's such a fundamental part of the operating system that it can be a driver or damaged file of just about any description triggering the ntdll.dll issue.
... conceivably it could be ntdll.dll itself, though. Is the PC a little unstable at the moment in other ways? If so, an sfc /scannow is probably worth a try:
