can you test the card in another PC to see if the same will happens there too?
Maybe a friend PC, but to test it, i would need several days because it does not always happen.

i just had to make sure that they sent me the wrong card twice, before contacting them to get the right version.

  • Will a Gigabyte Radeon R7 260x 2gb work with a m3970am-hp motherboard?

Hello, what I need to know is if this graphics card will work with the m3970am-hp motherboard. I also have already upgraded my PSU so no worries there. Thanks.
Here is the link for the graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125486

    JBreese99, welcome to the forum.
The make / model of the computer would be helpful.  The OS running can make a difference.
Also, the length of the card is important.  You should get the measurements of the card and make a cardboard template.  I don't see any additional power connectors.  However, if there happened to be one, you should add at least an inch for the connector.  Use this template to see if the card fits with room for good airflow.

    the bios : htt p://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/517689/Bonaire-rom.html

    Use the attached.
Create a bootable usb stick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0).
Then unpack the provided archive (300.rar) and put the included file (TV293MH.300) on that stick.
Rename TV293MH.300 to 300.rom. Put the atiflash.exe also included in the archive on the USB stick too. Now boot from the stick.
Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 300.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios.

  • After Effects CS6 - RENDER FAIL.

Right so basically I'm trying to render a simple video including the following effects: Twixtor, RSMB & Magic Bullet Looks. When I try to render the video using the H264 option in 30 frames per second, in 1280 x 720, I receive the following errors and I'm really clueless on how to solve this. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out, also My computer specifications are:
    4 GB Ram
    R7 260X 2GB GPU
    AMD FX 6300
    Windows 8.1 Pro
    500GB Hardrive

Oh alright, erm the composition settings are: 1280 x 720, 30 FPS, Lock Aspect ratio to 16:9 (1.78), Pixel Aspect Ratio: Squares Pixels, Frame rate is 60, Resolution is Full 3.5MB per 8BPC frame.
The output is: Quality is Best, Resolution is Full, size is 1280 x 720, frame rate is 30 FPS, and format in the output module is H.264 with a bitrate of 6.00 mbps.
Also I've just tried removing my adjustment layer which consists of the reelsmart motion blur and magic bullet it looks, it seems to be rendering just fine. So could it possibly be one of those effect? I'm really not sure because I always use those and it always has rendered just fine! Thanks so much for replying though man. I hope you can find a fix.

  • POWER SUPPLY info needed for GRAPHICS CARD UPGRADE!!!

I have a HP PAVILION p6631p and ide like to add a graphics card, but I was told I had to upgrade my power supply.
The card I purchased is the SAPPHIRE RADEON R7 260X 2GB and I was told I need a 500watt or higher power supply.
I was looking at the CORSAIR BRAND power supplies and tried emailing them to help me find the right power supply, but they said they needed to know what type of power supplies HP use in this model PC.
I didnt know what to do so im hoping someone can help me out with this information CORSAIR is asking for so they can help select me the right power supply for my PC.
I been searching for answers for weeks. Hopefully someone can help. Thanks.
    This question was solved.

    KJonline, welcome to the forum.
You were told correctly.  You will have to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU) for the video card to work properly.
The PSU in the computer is a standard ATX.  I suggest measuring the existing PSU and comparing the measurements to the one you choose.
I normally suggest at least 500W, but 600W is better for future upgrades.  Here is a PSU that should work for you. It is 650W and is an Enthusiast series.  This means that it has all of the power that you will need.  It is 5.9" (W) x  3.4" (H) x 6.3" (L).

  • Msi 970-g46

ive recently swopped my gfx from a very old nvidea to a asus r7 260x 2gb oc card since doing so and installing all necessary software im finding that every so often sometimes when under load and sometimes when not my pc randomly freezes all my temps are down and all drivers are up to date so is my bios recently updated from your website.
ive looked online and people are saying its probably my vrms playing up as this board doesn't take too well to overclocking is there any way I can check this out? as I purchased the board just under a year ago but have only had the fault since fitting a new gfx. ive tested the card in a friends pc so I know the error isn't coming from a faulty card.

  • MSI A88X-G45 GAMING code 11

I got my new setup back in May of this year. Haven't had any issues except just today. While browsing the internet and playing Runescape getting ready to play some Dota2. When my screen kind of went all pixel'ated like all different colors then shut down.
It won't even start now. I can't even force it to post by unplugging everything except cpu/fan and one stick of ram. It won't even post and it displays 11 on the digit display on the board. After looking in the manual that came with it. It says it is a Early CPU initialization. I have no idea what that means.
I had my friend who knows more about hardware come over and look at it. And he said it is most likely a motherboard issue.
So what do you guys think? If it is a motherboard issue how do i send the board back.

  • Artifacting with R7 260x 2GD5 OCV1

Hello Forum members, you guys are probably gonna have fun with this one
I recently installed a new R7 260x in my system and have been having problems with it that are driving me crazy (and trust me its a pretty long drive). After the install, I have been having artifacts (dancing red pixels) show up in the darker areas of my screen, and I have traced the issue back to the card under the fact of it does it with every display. Also, in some games, skyrim especially, I have been having distortion of the objects on the loading screens. Other than that the card runs just fine, but I am unsure of what the issue is here. I filed a support ticket and heard back from a tech with troubleshooting tips that worked to no avail. I am also sure that the PCI-E slot is working because my old gpu worked just fine in it also. I checked for a mainboard bios update with Live Update 5 and it said my BIOS was up to date. If it helps, my system specs are below
CPU: AMD FX-6120 (scrapped from an old Hp tower that my family was going to sell since we bought a computer to replace it)
RAM: 8gb Kingston (Don't have the model number since it is from that old Hp tower also)
Mobo: Msi 970a-g43 (chose it since this was a bit of a budget build)
    GPU Msi R7 260x 2GD5 OCV1
Old GPU: Hp Radeon HD 7450
    PSU: Rosewill Hive 750 watt
    Windwos 8.1 64 bit

Hey, I haven't checked this forum in a while but nice to see it is still active. Got news to report on this. I sent the card back to newegg and received the replacement yesterday. This is a good one. After installing it yesterday, it ran perfectly fine. I booted up this morning and the artifacts returned much worse and blue this time. Plus windows I minimized were leaving outlines of were they were sitting and a bit of ghosting, along with the image distortion. So, to try something, I rebooted my system and after the reboot it worked just fine. I'm at school right now so I can't test it to see if it happens again but when I get a chance I will let you guys know.

  • How do you re-encode h.264 video without artifacts?

    Hi
I have a video that was exported out of Premiere using h.264 at max 20mbps. All is good. Since the export takes 10+ hours I now want to create a version for Vimeo and Youtube. Becuase of the file size I don't want to upload the entire 2GB file to these services (I have a 5GB week limit upload at Vimeo) so I'll simply bring the file back into Premiere and export it using the Vimeo or Youtube setting with the max mbps around 5mbps or so. When I do this the resulting output file is unplayable, lots of artifacts and stutters. Some blacks are white even. I'm guessing Premiere is having an issue becuase it's re-encoding an already coded h.264 file, or something like that. Any ideas why this would happen and any solution to producing a good output?
    Cheers.

As Dave stated, re-compressing already lossy-compressed video directly into another lossy compressed format is never a good idea: In this instance, image quality will degrade severely from that of the original AVCHD video. And all of the suggested intermediate files for Windows habe their disadvantages: DNxHD (and possibly UT) invoke the Apple QuirckTime API that induces a severe gamma shift in the encoded video (in the worst cases, whites come out medium-gray and middle tones come out pitch black) and is very slow to process due to it being restricted to 32-bit operations. Lagarith requires a massively powerful CPU - far more powerful than even a heavily overclocked i7-3960X - just to even play back well (this is based on my experience with Lagarith and my heavily overclocked i7-2600K, which dropped frames massively on playback of Lagarith-encoded material).

  • Screen Artifacts on High Res Powerbook 15 inch

Just received the PB 15 high res Friday, so far can't see horizontal lines. I for one am concerned with the artifacts showing up while viewing DVDs and in Safari. Apple CR was kind enough to send a replacement for my previous gen 1.67 15 due to MLB/mem slot/DVDR failures, only one month old. This new screen shows vertical artifacts, a vertical row of color pixels in certain Safari pages, regardless of background color, white and colored pixels flickering on left side of display while viewing DVDs at any scan rate or resolution. The display calibration doesn't correct all the magenta/blue cast either, and must resort to EyeOne to calibrate this new display.
Leaning toward a refund after going through two defective generations of PB G4s. I'm beginning to feel sort of foolish at this point. I couldn't get the system to recognize the expensive Micron/Crucial Memory just purchased either, Tech Support told me to buy Apple brand, but added that they don't support 2GB configurations in this PB???
What is everybody doing about this? I'm unable to feel comfortable with this unit by design at this point. I have alot of money invested in Apple products for my photography business and would find it hard to switch over at this point. I'm especially unimpressed with Apple Tech Supports deflection of all this junk. I think iPods will be what's left of this product if Apple doesn't start paying attention to their product instead of image and stock margins.

I have the same problam. i can see the flickering occasionally in almost any applications, very rapidly and fast that's sometimes hard to notice like a blink of an eye. I have no idea whether it's a graphic card issue or not.
I have purchased the unit in Apple SF and left the country, I have no idea how to get support after all I know even Apple have worldwide warranty. You can't get it fixed or replace without sending back to US.
I'm loading software update right now hoping it will cure the problem with my fingers crossed.

  • Motion Artifacts or 3D like Problem in CS4!

    Hello!
I have just noticed this strange footage in my timeline as the camera pans or the object in focus moves. The footage have got some edges or kind of shadows which follows behind like 3D footage without glasses or ghosting when the camera pans. This is not good for the eye when you watch it, and it just doesn't look right. Overall there is no smooth fluid motion in this footage where there is movement in the scene.
Original footage was recorded with a Canon XH A1 HDV 50i as I am in PAL region. I captured this footage using the camera's downconvert feature to SD. After capturing I purchased a Matrox RT X2 which I then used for multicam multiple monitors display. When I edited this footage with my client I didn't see this at all, and since it was a multicam project we had to cut between the cameras first then a second pass for refining and adding titles and transitions. All the editing was done as Matrox SD sequence. However when I played back the DVD thats when I noticed this strange motion artifacts in the footage. This is earlier in the year before the release of CS5.
I revisited the project because the client now wants more copies of the DVD. Although they didn't complain with this DVD I just thought I should correct the problem. The DVD is just 1hr 30 mins, so its not DVD compression here. This happens in the first half an hour of the DVD and then after that everything else plays smoothly and fluidly. Now the problem is that the footage in the Matrox sequence plays with the motion artifacts and it has a red line bar without any single effects. The othe footage does not have a red bar. But if I play it in the source monitor there is no such problem. This is happening on 3 out of the 8 tapes recorded on that event, and the tapes were recorded by one camera.
I have tried creating an Adobe PAL project but I cannot actually see as I haven't connected my preview monitor from my PC GPU! Still this SD footage have got a red line bar when in Adobe sequence. This includes even the footage that plays well.
Is this the matrox sequence causing this and if so how can I get rid of this problem without having to start editing from scratch!

    LG 22" monitor
    Samsung 24" monitor

I wonder if this is a Field Reversal issue, as Matrox flips things around from regular DVD. That would be the first place that I would check.
Does this footage work in a non-Matrox Project?
    Good luck,
    Hunt
