Would I just use the installer that is on this site to flash the bios, any help appreciated.
    Thanks

    Thankyou very much Svet,
The card and operating system(8.1) works perfect now.
What I did was, extract the files you gave me, and downloaded the ATIWinflash program,
then I put the .150 file in the same folder, then renamed the .150 file to a .rom file,
and used ATIWinflash to flash vbios(too lazy to go to the store), only took about 10 secs, then rebooted, and no more watermark :-),
    Thanks again for your help.
I am glad I found this site or I would probably be just living with the watermark( Then again I don't think so, it was driving me crazy)

  • R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC - Flickering problem

    Hi all!
I have a problem that many seems to have with the 7850 card (Same for different brands) -
When I surf on the net, I get a lot of flickering when scrolling a page. This is the same with all browsers - Firefox, Chrome, IE.
Turning off hardware acceleration in Firefox lessens the problem, but it's still there.
I read on an external page (Not allowed to link) that this is due to low 2D clock speeds.
One user also reported that Gigabyte fixed this with a BIOS update, so I wonder if MSI also have released such a thing?
Btw, tried the workaround with editing the profiles.xml and manually set the clocks higher, which fixed the problem, but this isn't optimal as the clock then works on high load when not needed.
    Thanks in advance!
    /Rigr

Sorry, maybe a little too fast there
    My specs:
OS: Windows 7 Professional (x64) Build 7601, Service Pack 1
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V Pro Intel Z7 (BIOS version 0906)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Low Profile DDR3 PC12800/1600MHz CL9 2x4GB (Profile set to: XMP 800.0 MHz)
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K, 3400 MHz (Using "Standard" mode)
PSU: Corsair Power Supply 750W HX ATX
    GPU:MSI Radeon R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC 2GB
HDD #1: WDC WD2500KS-00MJB0 250 GB (OS is installed here)
    HDD #2: WDC WD5000AAKS-75TMA0 500 GB
    DVD-ROM: ATAPI DVD D DH16D2S
    To clarify the error report:
Everything works perfect except for web surfing where I get strange millisecond long flickers/flashes, when scrolling a page.
If I check the AMD OverDrive, then I can see that the core speed is 150MHz, and the RAM speed is 300MHz as minimum and then goes higher when I scroll a page. And as I wrote, if i manually change those values in "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\profiles .xml" to work for example in 700Mhz as minimum, then the problem is gone, but with the cost that the clocks works on too high values for what's actually needed when the system is idle.

  • R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5 Issues

    Hello,
I've done a bit of searching and haven't been able to find a solution to this issue.
I installed my R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC yesterday and upgraded my PSU at the same time and have been having several issues since the install.
First Issue: If I connect more than one monitor to the card, both screens go black and the only way to fix the issue is to unplug one monitor and hard reset the computer. When in safe mode or while booting, I do not have this issue.
Second Issue: If only 1 monitor is connected either through DVI, HDMI or Mini Display, the screen works for about 10 minutes before the display goes completely white or grey and the only solution is to hard reboot the computer.
Are these known issues? Do I have a flawed card? Should I get Svet's update that I have seen links to?
I have my computer info is:

If you want to ask if you can use TV273MH.150 then no you need TV273MH.111. Neither the gpu-z readout nor screenshot would be helpful without the S/N by the way as those do NOT readout the actual bios version.
    Now use attached TV273MH.111.

  • Idle temps for MSI R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC?

    Hello everyone,
I'm concerned about my idle temperatures for this card. I just received it and based on reviews, most people are idling around 30C. However, my card is idling above 55C (without OC). I have adequate cooling in my case, and I've even tested it without the side of the case attached. What could cause my idle temperature to be so high?
    Thanks!

Quote from: flobelix on 01-August-12, 04:00:22
Keep in mind you are using dual monitor. Even in idle the card will therefor consum far more power than a vga with just one display connected. Consuming more power means more heat so questionable if the idle temps of "most people" you refered to were also using dual monitor. What are your load temps?
The voltage difference between 2 monitors and 1 is 0.9V vs 0.825V. HOWEVER, I did notice that with a single monitor the GPU Memory clock drops (to 150MHz) during idle, but with dual monitor it stays at full speed when idle (Driver issue? I'm running 12.7 beta). A single monitor drops my idle temps down to around 44/46C. IF I force the GPU memory clock to be at the same idle speed when using a single monitor, the temperature for Dual Monitor during idle drops to 44/46C, the SAME as single monitor. That is at 1.075V. That is still a good 15C above what others are reporting. In this case, I'm not seeing a difference in temp between dual a single monitors when I force the GPU Mem Clock to the idle speed.
With load I get between 70C and 80C running Furmark.
One of the reasons I bought this card was because of its ability to overclock. If I'm already that far above in temp, then I feel like I'm going to hit a wall much sooner than I should. I feel like something weird is going on with my card.

  • Problem with hd R7850 twin frozr 2gd5

when gaming sometimes my pc locks up with a black screen and sound stuck in a very small loop and cant do anything apart from manually resetting my pc or killing the power. It was happening occasionally with sleeping dogs (although after lowering the quality settings well below the recommended its fine now) and has also happened on a couple of rare occasions with Black ops 2. I recently installed Far Cry 3 and literally every time i play it after around 5 min i get this issue. I have the latest beta drivers from ati installed and the game is fully updated. I tried lowering the resolution and quality settings but after aroun 20 mins of play it happend again i only purchased the card in sept and am very disgruntled to say the least. What would be the best method to identify the cause of the problem and more importantly fix it or avoid it happening to me again?

Thanks for your attachment. I've tried it. But if I set mainboard's bios supportion to "Compitable EFI", then my computer can't start at all, screen staying black, even without post.  if bios supportion set to "Legency bios", then everything will be OK. I wonder why the firmware isn't supported for ASUS mainboard's "Compitable EFI" selection.
And gpu-z 6.7 shows clock frequence lowers from previous 980 to 850.
I lost my orignal vbios version, can i get it back?
Please forgive me for my poor English.
    Thank you
