RAC OEM webpage can only be open using node1 IP address

I have created a two-nodes RAC environment using VMWare. However, I can only open the RAC OEM webpage using Node1's IPaddress (http://node1_ip:1158/em). I can't use http://node2_ip:1158/em to open the OEM webpage. Is this normal or is there anything wrong with my RAC configuration?

If this is version 10.2.0.2 or higher, I had the same problem, try using emca on node 2

if just to open a cd then using bootcamp would be more trouble then using a virtual machine software such as virtualbox or vmware player

Hi I recently moved from QLD to WA and moved my bundle with me, I had foxtel on tbox over there but the box got left in the move so I bought another one today. I have tried to register it but it comes up with the following message ' You can only log in using your primary BigPond Broadband account , If you can’t remember your primary account username and password, you will need to speak to a Customer Service Representative on 1800 331 402 So after calling the first time the lady registered the tbox and I thought that would be me on my way so I hung up and tried to get foxtel on tbox. Ended up getting the same message and now my tbox does not appear to be registered at all. So after another call which lasted around 30mins of me being on hold and a 3 way conversation where both telstra members were trying to fob responsibility off to each other and one being quite rude I was told I would be called back.. After another half an hour the guy called back and said that I could not get foxtel on tbox at my address. To me this seems like Im being fobbed off as he didnt know what the problem was, I am in a unit and I checked my address on the telstra website which stated 'great news, foxtel on tbox is available in your area' and after being told I couldnt get it, I put a note on the notice board of the aparment block to see if anyone else had foxtel and they do so clearly that is not the problem. Can anyone advise what to do or who to speak too to try and clear this up? Thank you

There are times like this I wish I could log in to customers accounts and fix it however not allowed ESQ check which is a serviceability check and checks what services are available at your address. So if it says Foxtel Tbox is eligible then its all good to go then this wouldn't be the problem mate. What needs to happen is that your email address and serial number might be still on the admin portal of the tbox registration. However you said Tbox support have removed this from the account in saying that this can take a little while to be completely removed from our records which would then allow you to register a new device. Try the registration a little later on or again tomorrow and see how you go. Please let us know how you get along. Cheers bud.

Hard drive says its full but I can only find 44G used!

I knew the day would come when I filled my 80G hard drive. But when I look at the HD space occupied by each of the files in Finder I can only account for 44G used! - where is the missing 36?
Also how easy is it to use an external hard drive for music/photos etc?

You can relocate iTunes and iPhoto libraries to an
externally enclosed hard disk drive; there are some
rules and considerations, such as they go, so the
computer won't be making duplicates to its internal
hard disk drive, since you'd want to keep it slim.
A search online should yield a few fairly well founded
replies to relocating or archiving these libraries.
You may be able to view the Hard Disk Drive as a List
and see if you can find an entry for large blocks of items
that may not be otherwise noted; but this may not be a
way to go. There had been utilities to help find and fix
the issue of lost space on a hard drive.
Sometimes, a 'previous system' folder may be using some.
Or an older anti-virus program (norton) may waste space.
You may need to consider a really decent external HDD
enclosure that can support full clones of everything; be
sure the enclosed drive circuitry supports Mac OS X boot
capabilities. Then make a clone (carbon copy cloner) of
the entire contents to a prepared external drive, test it and
be sure tor repair disk permissions on the booted clone.
PPC Macs generally require FW400/800 external enclosure
devices to support OS X booting; later ones USB2.0.
And then use Disk Utility from the clone or booted install DVD
and use its Secure Erase to overwrite 7-passes of zeros over
the hard drive contents, then use the Partition Map tool to give
it a suitable partition map scheme for the hardware involved,
plus Format the drive to HFS+ Journaled, and either move the
clone back in, or reinstall a completely new system from scratch.
This may be a better way, and in the process, give the old HDD
a workout to see if it isn't just getting old and starting to fail. If so,
you could consider a larger external (partition into two, if big) and
run the computer from there, if you don't want to take apart the
iMac and replace the original hard drive with a larger/faster one.

Some software(iphoto,imovie) can only be opened by safe boot.

I buy a mac book air (MD231),i upgrade the os to os x mountain lion 10.8.1,but i find that some softwares can not be opened, such as iphoto,imovie,chrome for mac,but others are normal,I try many methods to solve,but all be failed.
Then use "safe boot" to start my mac,i find all the softwares can be opened successfully,so i am worried about this.

If you just purchased this Mac, Call AppleCare. You should have 90 days of free support. If it is new Mac without any third-party software, then there is something wrong with it. Use the free support you have.

Certain pages can only be opened in Internet Explorer, how to get around it

The pages that I'm trying to open, says it can't be opened as I'm not using using IE. There must be a way around it?
I have also tried Firefox and added a plugin, "IE view" but it doesn't work.
Ideas please??

many, but not all pages can be convinced that you're running IE via the 'User Agent' feature under the Develop menu. If you don;t see Safari's Develop menu, (between Bookmarks & Window) - enable it from Safari-Preferences-Advanced-Show Develop menu in menu bar.
Bypassing the 'can't be opened as I'm not using using IE' message doesn't guarantee that the page will work properly though, since some do use IE specific code.

What happens if the touch ID sensor gets broken? It is a backup method to get in to your device.
Consider editing your lock screen passcode, changing it from a simple 4 digit code, to a longer more complex password.

Can't send email using different IP address subnet

Hi, in our office using different IP address subnet, like this :
10.254.1.xxx and 10.254.3.xxx
And Our Server Exchange version is 2007, using IP address 10.254.1.xxx, but when from another IP like 10.254.3.xxx can't send or receive email, and get error (on some pc that using SeaMonkey) :
An error occured sending mail : The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: 4.3.2 Service not available, closing transmission channel.
Someonce can help me, please..

Why can I no longer log in to a site I have logged into 340 times before? Now I can only log in using Private Browse Window.

On my Window 7 Pro 32-bit system a website that I have logged in to over 340 times (according to my settings info) no longer allows me to log in unless I open a Private Browsing Session Window. When I use a Private Browsing Session I can log in right away & I have no problems.
I can log in to that site using my XP system with the same version of Firefox 27.1 without doing anything special. Does anyone have any ideas what I might check or do to resolve this? I realize it's not the end of the world since I figured out that this site works with a Private Browsing Session, but it IS an extra hassle. The system that's having this problem is my wife's computer, so that makes it extra important for this to be resolved.

Thank you both for your quick responses. I am now able to log in correctly. I did Ctl+Shift+r to reload the page from the server & deleted all of the cookies for that page. Now I am able to log in as before. I no longer have to open a Private Browsing Session Window.
My first thought yesterday when I was trying to fix this problem on my own, was to delete the cookies. Then I thought that if the cookies WERE corrupt I would not be able to log in even with a Private Browsing Session. I see now that I probably should have at least tried my idea.

I have bought ipads for my kids, so far i can only let them use my apple id and this means that any apps they download sync to my apple id, the problem is that one game they want to play wont allow them to have seperate profiles?? can anyone help?

Apple has a reptutaion of maintaining a high level of privacy and security. This means that accounts are not meant to be shared, though they can be, and defintitely not merged.
That does not come without a price however.
I completely understand that the kids would want their own profiles when playing games, but app developers are required to follow apple's protocols in order to distribute their apps via apples app store and be used on their products.
I'm going to go out on limb here and say the apple has chosen to put the job of parenting in the hands of parents.
What I do know is that as the kids get older and everybody gets their own devices and accounts, it will be a lot easier and lot less confusing when everyone has their own apple id. (especially when they start having their own contacts, calendar events and everyone in the home is syncing to icloud)

CS3 File Can't Be Opened using Dreamweaver 8

Just wondering if anyone out there has been able to open an
HTML file generated with Dreamweaver CS3 (PC) using Dreamweaver 8
on a Mac?
When the CS3 user edits and saves an HTML file, the
Dreamweaver 8 user cannot open on our server.
We will be upgrading the Mac software in a few months but
have a need now to have two people edit the same files. One is on a
PC using Dreamweaver CS3 and the other is on a Mac using
Dreamweaver 8.
Are there settings in CS3 to maximize compatibility with
older versions?

Can Only Seem To Use 1/2 Of Zen Nano Memory..

Help... I have loaded a little over 25 mp3 tracks onto my Zen Nano Plus and cannot get any more to load. When viewed through the Creative MediaSource Organizer UI it shows I have over 475MB of available space left on the player. However, when I try to load additonal tracks I get a generic "Error Transferring File" message and cannot add a new track unless I first clear some space by deleting one or two existing tracks.

OK. So I just bought a MuVo GB. When I tried to load my music on it I encountered the same problem as others have posted i.e. it only seemed to allow me to use half the available capacity.
After playing around some more I found the solution to my problem. I reformatted the MuVo to FAT32 from its original format of FAT6. This resolved the problem, and I was then able to utilize the full capacity of the MuVo player (i.e. ~ GB).
I believe it has to do with the fact that in FAT6 the minimum cluster size (for a GB disk) is 32KB, whereas for FAT32 the minimum cluster size is 4KB. Thus since I was trying to transfer a large number of small music files (i.e. ~ .5KB in size), each of them in FAT6 would occupy the minimum cluster size of 32KB even though the actual data size was significantly less (.5 Kb). This used up the space very inefficiently (i.e. wasting ~30.5 Kb of space slack space?), and prevented me from using the full capacity of my player. The minimum cluster size in FAT32 is 4KB, that's /8th the size of FAT32 clusters, significantly more efficient for storing a large number of small files!
Under FAT32 I'm able to get very close to the full capacity, and haven't experienced problems with loading music or playing music. There is a limitation of 500 files per folder, but this is easily overcome, and after all 500 songs at ~ 2-3 minutes per song is
~ 25 hours of music. Plenty enough storage.
I'm not sure why Creative formats the dri've as FAT6. It is easily reformatted to FAT32 with their supplied software (Creative MuVo V00 Media Explorer).

I can only get sound using Apple's Headphones. Help?

Okay, this is weird.
I had no sound, or so I thought. However, now my ipod does have sound, but only through apple's headset. If I plug in any working headphone set, I get nothing but silence, but if I use the apple headset, I get sound. This is also the same for my MAC if that give any clues. Last night, both of these items were working perfectly and had sound regardless of the kind of headphones.
Anyone have any ideas what I could do to fix this or what the problem might be? I want to use my good headphones again.
