Hi:
See if this works...
Download and run the W8.1 graphics driver from your model's support page...Close out of any error windows.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-135683-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...
Go to the device manager and click to expand the Display Adapters category.  Click on the Standard VGA Adapter.  Click on the Driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software method and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp67327.  Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.  Then reboot.
If the graphics driver was succesfully installed, you should now be able to adjust the screen brightness and the webcam should work as well.

  • Updating Radeon HD 3200 Graphics Driver - Help Required ASAP

    Hi guys.
I have a question regarding updating the graphics drivers (Radeon HD 3200) on my Lenovo X100e ThinkPad. I cannot & it's doing my head IN!!! I'm stuck using the latest version Lenovo released on their website on 2nd July, 2010 (v8.663.2.1-091216a-093974C-Lenovo)!
I've had no problems compiling & installing the latest ATI/AMD drivers on my Linux (BackTrack v5) partition, so I do know a little about computers.
I've tried methods recommended here & by others shown on the following website:
    http://glob.lokety.com/enable-hardware-acceleration-on-lenovo-x100e-for-better-video-playback/
Basically, no matter what version driver I try to update to I get the following error message (when attempting to manually update via Windows Device Manager):
“Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device"
“Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it [ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics]”
“The driver selected for this device does not support this version of Windows...”
If anybody out there has a solution they can share I would be super appreciative; what little of my hair is left is in a most precarious situation...
Thank you all for your time. I hope you all had a very merry Christmas & wish you all a happy new year while I'm at it.

PS. sorry to cross-post on both the ThinkPads Support Community & the Lenovo Community forums – I'm just hoping someone out there has an answer for me – no doubt being so terribly simple & straightforward that I'll look like a noob S.

    Dear The_Solutor,
Thank you kindly for your quick reply, & what's more:
    IT WORKED!!!
My x64 bit version of Windows 7 (Pro) was starting to get a little bloated, etc. so, using Acronis True Image, I dropped a fresh & clean image of Win 7 SP1 & immediately updated the HD 3200 Graphics driver (after unpacking the installer you provided). This is certainly the best (computer related) event of my new year. THANK YOU.
I'm not sure if the problem was a result of my Windows installation becoming corrupted over time or (more likely) a result of incorrect driver usage.
Sometimes ATI's (AMD) driver selection method can be a little confusing (for notebooks like the X100e). Can you walk me through the choices you made to get to the correct download? For example, on their 'support - driver download' section of their website, what do you choose for the following 'drop-down' selection boxes:
    1. Component Category
    2. Product Line
    3. Product Model
    4. Operating System (obvious even to me!).
Thanks again mate. I really appreciate the time you took to solve my problem.
    Happy New Year,

  • OpenGL3.3+ Update? Edit: Radeon HD6490M switchable graphics driver update Windows 7?

So I recently purchased a game that requires me to run OpenGL3.3 or more. Currently I can do OpenGL3.1, and after poking around some I see no reason why my graphics cards couldn't support it. Do I need to download something for OpenGL, or do my drivers need to be updated? (HP Support says they don't but I'm skeptical). Any help/advice is appreciated. Also, I was poking around this old question, but couldn't do squat with it... quite new at all this after all... Edit: I've been looking more, and it seems that the answer would be an updated graphics driver. The problem is, I'm not sure if there is one (Again, HP Support, etc. says I don't need one...). I have a dv6t-6100, with Radeon HD 6490M switchable graphics on Windows 7, 64-bit. It sounds like others have had luck updating their drivers just by the virtue of running on Windows 8 rather than 7. Any suggestions, work-arounds, other drivers that might similarly work for me?

So after updating to Windows 10, what I was trying to do originally works now that my video drivers have finally updated. Doesn't solve the original problem exactly, and I continue to wonder why HP kept me in the dark on these updates...

  • MOVED: Intel Vga graphics driver not installed?

This topic has been moved to MSI Notebook.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=155858.0

I have an ATI x1200 on my laptop, but only the open source driver works for newer kernels.
To enable 3D acceleration with it you must install:
    pacman -S ati-dri xf86-video-ati
The 3D acceleration is decent enough to run compiz, but games...
At least they don't work for me.
With those drivers i have the second monitor working through VGA out of the box. (No xorg.conf or other configurations)
I don't have a DVI port in my laptop but i hope i helped you.
    Good luck.

  • Satellite L650-10D - Unable to install any graphic driver

    Hi,
I have just spend most of the day trying to get this laptop to use proper resolution. Story:
The HDD failed and I had to get a new one. I downloaded Windows 7 Home Premium and installed everything from the scratch on a new HDD. The serial from the back of the machine worked fine with the Windows (fortunately).
After downloading a lot of drivers from Toshiba website I got working everything except the Display. At the moment the Windows is using: "Standard VGA graphics driver" which can not go furher then 1024x768, very annoying.
    Steps I tried:
    1) I downloaded "tc70077100m" AMD driver from the website.
Installation of the ATI Catalyst went thru, but the drivers were not changed.
    2) Double clicking on "tinstall" or "tinstallwb" in the unpacked driver directories resolves in briefly seeing the icon on task bar after which the installer exits, nothing else, no error. Very professional ...
    3) I tried manually updating the driver using the Device Manger pointing to directly to the file from the package. First I got warning, that the driver is not compatible, but I forced it to continue. I picked "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650". The installation failed saying that my version of Windows is not compatible.
    4) I also tried downloading drivers from ATI website, which failed each time saying my software/hardware was not compatible.
    5) I also tried downloading drivers for other L650 notebooks (the Intel ones) which failed for incompatibility.
Please advice how can one install graphic driver on this device. I am not after gaming, I'd just like to get reasonable resolution.
    Regards

    Hi kotatko,
Your notebook is equipped with ATI graphic card so other display drivers like Intel will not work. You have to install the display driver from official Toshiba page:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
Before you start with display driver installation make sure that *chipset driver* is installed. The chipset driver can be downloaded on Toshiba page too.
May I ask you why you dont use the Toshiba recovery disk with all drivers and tools that is more comfortable?

Option "EXAPixmaps" "on" # on with > 32MB VRAM
    Option "SwapbuffersWait" "on" # on

2: glamor with  Option "NoAccel" "on" - no artifacts
3: EXA with  Option "NoAccel" "on/off" - no artifacts
But with 2 and 3 OpenGL compositing in KDE doesn't work (resets itself to XRender), and graphics in supertuxkart looks like this.

I have tried with on a new, blank file, with just a few lines on it, but, as soon as I place the first pin, the image disappears, and then, as soon as I click anywhere else in the image, Photoshop crashes. I have followed all the online advice about settings under the Preferences/Performance interface, but nothing fixes the problem. Can anyone please help?

I gave a blacklisted graphics driver for radeon 1950x pro (ATI) that has no available update. From what I can tell, because my driver version are not supported I am suffering from 'glitchy' performances, especially in flash-based websites (eg: the game Zuma Blitz suffers highly from what appears frame-rate issues).
    Any suggestions?

Some websites are 'glitchy' so there must be some impact vs the two versions. For example, a simple flash game like Zuma Blitz suffers from what appears to be frame-rate issues. While 3.6.x does not.
Youtube even is glitchy now. Google's maps. Ect.
And before it's suggested, I have updated flash to double check that wasn't the issue.

i had the same problem in last week, but i didnt buy a new processor, my bios just dont let me do anything so, i put a booteable usb of windows 7 and i booting the usb from bios and ignore the message to actualize to richland. Then i could install windows 7 ultimate 64bits and download the new BIOS driver. And that as you make so easy you just need to copy the ".exe" driver bios and put in a usb free. Start program, upgrade bios, reboot, and finish! you have richland v2.2 or something and you can run APU A10 6800k with no problems =)

  • Windows 8.1 and graphics driver for AMD Radeon HD7670m

    Hello
Some time ago, i`ve had problem with updating my Windows8 (64-bit) to 8.1 (64-bit). The problem was with switchable graphics, only Intel HD4000 was working and i couldn`t fix it by Catalyst Control centre, by AMD support forum and by this forum as well.
I`ve seen this trouble a lot at forums, but i didn`t find the solution and reistalled my Windows 8.
Switchable graphics worked, but only this only old driver. All newones that i`ve tried to use didn`t work, or worked incorrect. That`s one question: we have only old driver (8.962.10.6000) without updates for new games, OSs, etc?
And another question is: was the problem fixed?
Because i`d like to install Windows 8.1, but i don`t want to "play" with drivers, strange solutions (like install beta driver for Windows7, from AMD website) and other. I want a working notebook (pavillion g6 2368 sr) with switchable graphics and win8.1

    Hello @hi4man ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you have concerns about upgrading your notebook to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8 and losing the switchable graphics feature.
To use the switchable graphics feature you must use the drivers provided by HP on your products Drivers & Downloads page.
The drivers for your notebooks GPUs are bundled into one installation, meaning the Intel and AMD GPU drivers are in one package. This package is supported on both Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 and is available here: AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver.
Try installing this driver after updating to Windows 8.1 and let me know if it works.
Note that you may need to disable the updates from Windows or the HP Support Assistant to have continued switchable graphics functionality.
I look forward to your reply!
