Radio and Apple TV What gives?

I've not been able to listen to radio stations through Apple TV after a year plus of doing so. What's up? The message says I need to
check network connections, but I can watch movies, TV shows, Netflix, podcasts - so I'm confused. Thanks so much for the help.

Same problem here. Seems like everything worked great for the longest time, then only a few stations worked, now none at all. I've tried resetting the router and the ATV to no avail. Really don't want to take it to the Apple store, hoping there is a fix for this

What do you mean by connecting your Windows? The only connection you will get is via iTunes to stream your media content.

This issue is cropping up everywhere on the iPad site, leading me to believe that it is an iTunes server glitch. I am able to connect without issue in the northeast U.S.
You can try this ....
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Sign in and try again.

Lion glitchy and slow. What gives!?

I have seen other posts about this, and it is quite ridiculous.
The Lion upgrade is painful, PAINFUL.
I feel like I am using a computer from 2002, what gives?!
Just a regular Mac user with no wacky applications installed or even used.
Losing the mac: office is understandable, due to no powerpc, but not have a platform that works is sort of an issue.
So slooooooowwwwwww, and with icloud, it all seems archaic.

Have you just installed/upgraded?
If so, Lion performs a slew of maintenance tasks, including clearing all old caches and rebuilding the Spotlight index (which, in itself can take hours, or even days to complete).
You'll probably also find your productivity inhibited for a while as you find the new bells, whistles and knobs.
So give it a little while - at least wait until your spotlight is updated before trying to benchmark performance.

I installed remote and I heart radio and can not find the air play icon.

The app must support AirPlay, it has nothing to do with having the Remote app installed.
Contact the app developer and ask them if their app supports AirPlay.

I can sync radio stations to apple tv but when I shut off apple tv and restart at a later time, the playlist of radio stations disappear yet remain on my i tunes playlist - is there any way to permanently keep the stations on my apple tv playlists ?

This seems to be a common problem with no permanent solution. Do a search on Radio in this forum and you will find plenty of complaints, suggested fixes, etc. But I still cant get it to work for longer than a day or so, even with computer and iTunes on, playlist synched, etc.

Time Machine and File Vault - what gives?

I have recently moved my MacBook into the shed so that I can work in peace and quiet. My setup is that I have a Time Capsule connected to my broadband modem, and is acting as the wireless router. The MacBook is set to backup to the time capsule.
Due to my computer being out of doors I wanted to get FileVault up and running in order to make my entire drive more secure.
The problem I get is that it all seems to be working fine, until I log out, shut down or restart which takes approx 8-9 hours EVERY TIME. There doesn't seem to be any incremental backups taking place it just starts again and takes a further 8-9 hours.
Is this a limitation, or can I change the settings? My Time Capsule is secure in the house so I'm not bothered about data security from that end, it's just the MacBook is my concern.

Filevaulted home directories are only backed up when you log out. TM warns you about it when you set up TM. filevault also warns you about it when you turn filevault on the first time.
this happens for technical reason which i don't really want to go into. let me just say that there is no way around this. this does mean that every backup when you log out can be big and take a long time if done wirelessly but what you describe is very extreme. what kind of work do you do on the computer?how big is your home folder? do you work with any large database files? do you use entourage, or any windows virtualization programs? they all use large database files. also, how long ago did you turn on filevault? was it in Snow leoaprd, leopard, or even a prior OS?

Internet radio and Apple TV update 6.0

Has internet radio been eliminated with the 6.0 update to Apple TV, or is it hidden somewhere as it is in the new iTunes update.
The primary reason I bought a 2nd Apple TV was strictly for internet radio through a housewide sound system. To remove it from the software almost seems criminal to me. I get that iTunes has its "own" radio now, but surely Apple must realize there's a world out there beyond them. Maybe not.
So - can I access internet radio through my Apple TV?

5 repair attempts and counting, HP what gives?!

Hello all, This is my first HP computer (Edit: it is a HP ENVY 23-D027C TOUCHSMART ALL-IN-ONE DESKTOP PC) and ive had one heck of a time getting it repaired by HP. I will be contacting them again today to send it off again for the 5th "Re-Repair". what started this all was when the screen was cracked during a move, i paid the repair costs, shipped off the PC, waited a week, when it arrived nice new front glass but the bezels where cracked open so much i could fit my iphone through the crack and the OS would not activate because the "product key was already in use". So I sent it back.
when it got it the second time no holed in the bezel! but it sounded like a cat bell when i picked it up, so many small parts sliding around on the inside of the pc. I sent it off again without booting the pc as i did not want to risk potential metal parts shorting anything out.
both the 3rd and 4th times i sent it to HP it came back with holes in the bezel. the pic below was after i opened the box last night.
Im sorry for my rant on my first post. I am just getting frustrated as HP has had my PC for nearly 1 and a half months.
Is there someone somewhere i can talk to to get this fixed once and for all?
Has anyone had so much trouble getting a PC assembled correctly?

He asked a very simple queston who is your all over boss. That the information I will be sending. So he can get his computer replaced. By pass all the other crap that he has to deal with. I cannot remember my security questions so I was told I would get an email helping me but the email still hasn't come and it was defiantly the right email and Apple ID what should I do ?

I just can't remember and if I don't get it back that will be a £15 iTunes card down the drain !

Loud noise, when idle, running and reading! WHAT GIVES!

So I bought myself a lovely mac, and I love it! But I have some problems with it. THE NOISE! I don't really understand the problem, the computer works fine, but is pretty loud. The foot is vibrating aswell...

Your comment is so vague it's impossible to really troubleshoot. Contact AppleCare immediately (the number is in your owners manual) and they will help you get it fixed. If the machine is less than 10 days old and you bought it directly from Apple I'd recommend a replacement machine.

Musicmatch 10 and new Nano - What gives?

I have a spankin new nano and went to sync my 1,000+ songs from Musicmatch onto it and it all appeared to work... It took about 15 minutes, but when it was done none of the tracks displayed on the nano menu.
If I looked at the nano using windows explorer (like a storage device), all the tracks were there as MP3s.
Any ideas?
I've read conficting posts about Musicmatch supporting the iPod. Is this true? MUST I use itunes? (I'd rather not)

Previous versions of Musicmatch were able to sync music to older iPods and have it recognized by the iPod; Apple stopped including Musicmatch with iPods when iTunes became available for Windows, and the current version of Musicmatch probably can't put music sent to an iPod in the portion of the iPod that it expects the music to be in.

I have been having this issue for months and can not find any resolution. I am about to delete my iCloud account if someone from Apple can not provide a resolution. Phone support was clueless and acted like it was a user issue. I am going to go into a store.

Silverlight no longer works in FF? Error says it's the fault of Silverlight and to reinstall. Did this 2 times and same error! Silverlight works perfectly in Opra, Chrome, Safari and IE. What gives?

Just today this happened. Netflix all of a sudden locks up, tried to reload and get error saying it's Silverlights fault and to uninstall/reinstall. Did this and updated Silverlight 2 times. Same issue. Works fine in Safari, Chrome, IE and Opra just fine. Conclusion, FF is at fault not Silverlight. Any fixes for this?

So it appears Silverlight is working again, sorta. It does load Netflix movies but locks up about every 5 min's, which is totally annoying, then Firefox locks up and I have to ctrl alt delete to close it. I'm really starting to wonder about Firefox. Used to be the best browser, now not so sure. =(

I'm running FF 3.6.17 and when I try to log into my Blackboard page, I get an error message, "no user is currently logged in." I have noticed that some have had compatibility problems with earlier versions of FF and Blackboard, but what gives?

This recently upgraded version of Blackboard is also giving me problems with IE, and even Google Chrome. Regardless of which Windows OS I try. On these others, however, I can log in, I just can't edit.
