Nokia Internet Radio Error: Connection Timed Out. ...
Hi,
I'm having an issue with the Nokia Internet Radio application on the Nokia N95. The app launches ok but if I try and browse the station directory or perform a search I get the error 'Connection Timed Out. Try Again' This happens almost instantly i.e. it doesn't look like it's even trying to connect. If I go to the shoutcast site and click on the 'Tune In' button next to a station the Internet radio app launches and I get an error saying 'General: System Error' and the application closes then goes back to the browser and a message saying 'Web: No Gateway Reply' The application worked fine up until recently. I upgraded to FW V 21.0.016 and hasn't worked since so it may be that this has caused the problem. I've removed and re-downloaded \ re-installed the software but still get the same issue. Web browsing works fine, so I know my internet settings are fine, and the old open-source version of the radio player even works so it's just an issue with this app. Any advice on how to fix it would be much appreciated. Thanks.I had the same problem and I fixed it. For me, it was because I am on the Rogers network in Canada. Regardless of where you are many cellular neworks use firewalls and something called NAT (Network Address Translation). Nokia should really make people aware of this because probably 50% of people around the world have this problem. The solution for me was to use Rogers VPN or Public IP to access the internet. Rogers blocks access to this internet connection so you have to add the service to your account for $10 per month but I have heard that other carriers like FIDO have not blocked access to it.
On the Nokia n79 this requires creating a new access point under TOOLS>SETTINGS>CONNECTIONS>DESTINATIONS. Add a new access point with the following settings:
Connection Name: Rogers VPN (or whatever you want to call it)
Data Bearer: Packet Data
Access Point Name: vpn.com
User Name: wapuser1
Prompt Password: No
Password: wapuser
Authenticaiton: Normal
Homepage: None
Use Access Point: After Confirmation (or change if you want something else)
That's it. When you load the internet radio Application and it lists your options select "Rogers VPN". If you don't see it in the list, press the soft button for Options then "Select Access Point" and you will see the full list. If you want the VPN to be the first thing you see you can change the priority under destination settings. Just select the VPN and press "Organize" then "Change priority". -
when I try to play a radio station I get the following error. I am using the most recent itunes released today.
"We could not complete your iTunes store request. You are not authorized to access the requested resource."
Radio works on my iphone.I find that I can intentionally and repeatably cause this error on my mac by resetting Safari. Apparently part of the iTunes store authorization information is stored in the databases that Safari clears when ordered to "Reset Safari," probably because iTunes makes use of Safari to display the store (which is really just a web page with some extra button widgets thrown in the mix). Either reauthorizing the computer or signing into the iTunes Store again will fix the authorization issue until I reset Safari again, at which point iTunes will finish out playing the current iTunes Radio song and then refuse to play the next song, giving the same authorization error as before.
Steps to reproduce error:
1) Play iTunes radio.
2) Reset Safari (in Safari: "Safari" menu > "Reset Safari"; check all boxes and hit the "Reset" button)
3) Wait for current song on iTunes radio to finish. ITunes Radio will refuse to play the next song.
That said, I find that without resetting Safari, I never encounter this error, and iTunes Radio otherwise continues to play. One way around the problem would be to surf the web in Firefox or Chrome instead of Safari. I find that unpalatable, because I prefer Safari (de gustibus non est disputandum). -
New to the spotif service. Enjoying my 3 month premium trial! However, I am unable to use the "Radio" function on my Mac. Upon clicking on the "Radio" link in the left side navigation, I receive Error: Failed to load Any ideas on how to resolve the situation?
Having the same problem, happens in the app in Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Also happens in the Android app. And in the web player in Firefox and Chrome. Have had both the Failed to load error and just a neverending "loading circle". The Android app only have the loading circle. Have also tried to uninstall, and deleting %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Spotify as suggested in other threads. No luck. Edit: Now I have also tried "Sign out everywhere", still get the same error.

6131 - Radio error message 'not allowed'?
I've been using the radio feature without a problem since I got the phone (June) and since today all I get is an error message "not allowed". I have no clue what is going on as it was working perfectly fine last Friday?
I checked software updates and I have the most current already. All other functions are fine.
Help!Same thing has just happened to me. Did you find a solution? I would be very grateful for advice as I am a not very technical grandmother

I just got everything installed:
MCE 20005
On board VGA
On Board Audio with 5.10.0.5170 Driver
Mega Radio off Driver CD
When I start the Mega Radio I get the following pop up error: "Audio is not available. Please install audio driver first!" (as stated above the audio driver is installed 12x over)
After clicking OK on the error pop the mega radio loads. When I try to record from mega radio I get another Error: "Format non support".
When I goto change anything in the control panel that has to do with the sound I get the following error: "To enable the advanced sound effect for gaming, please make sure the setting of Hardware Acceleration is "full". The directory is below:Control Panel->Sound & Audio Device ->Audio -> Playback/Advanced... -> Performance -> Hardware Acceleration."
Please Helphey, no probs, you had a problem, and you fixed it. now if someone else has same prob and sees this thread, they can thank you (and you can laugh at them!)

MEga Radio works fabulously except in Media Center. Is there a fix for that?
not from MSI, as they have already informed me they don't have an MCE licence (?), unless some one can make good use of the MCE SDK and develop a plugin for MCE2005.... -
Hi. I'm getting an error playing radio through my brand new Apple TV 2. It only happens when I want to play some radio stations, not all. It works on my Mac, and I can ply it through it to my Apple TV, but it's annoying. I just want to stop seeing errors! Please, I need help!

Hi - I've had my Apple TV2 for over a year now. Everything has always worked fine without any issues until about a month ago when the Internet Radio feature simply stopped working. I have no idea why - all software is up to date, I've checked the network connections, conducted the test, etc., and everything works. I can still use my iTunes library, watch movies, use YouTube, etc. Just the radio function in the Internet section stopped working.
The error message I get is "Cannot access Internet Radio stations. Check your network configurations and try again." I've checked the configurations, and everything works like a charm, but I still get the error message.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
Time flies when you're having fun, but it's not been out a year yet so should be still under warranty.
Before getting repair/replacement from Apple, try a factory reset by hooking it up to computer using a microUSB lead alone, starting iTunes and restoring software to (current) factory settings.
Unless there's been a change to your network/router/firewall i can't see any obvious reason for it to stop playing internet radio unless the software's corrupted some how. Guess you've tried unpowering from the mains then restarting it which can sometimes fix odd problems?

Solved!
Go to Solution.Hello Victor.
I had practically the same problem. I am an avid user of internet radio, When I tried to "save" a station as a favorite, The whole internet radio crashed.
What I did was to download the whole phone software from Nokia, then I did what they recommend, which is to make a backup of your data and then to apply the ENTIRE phone software, within which comes the Internet Radio.
It worked well, Now I have my favorites saved (reggae, classic rock and news) It´s fun. You should do it and tell me if you also succeeded.
Good luck Vic,.
I believe you will find the software here:

I honestly couldn´t find the exact page. but it´s close. -

"You're Listening to iTunes Radio" error
After changing the password for my Apple ID on my iMac, I am unable to sign in to iTunes Radio from any of my devices (iPhone 5S, iPad 4th gen, or Apple TV 3rd gen). While surprised the devices didn't just learn my new password, I assumed it's perhaps a security matter so have been attempting to sign in with my new or old password. Most everything else appears to work. But when I attempt to listen to iTunes Radio, all I get is a male voice repeating over and over continuously "You're listening to iTunes Radio." On-screen the display just cycles through album covers. I was able to listen to my own music streamed from iMatch on my iPhone, but not my iPad, and neither plays iTunes Radio--just that "You're listening to iTunes Radio" repeated over and over. I have tried power cycling the iPhone, turning iTunes Match off then on, entering my iCloud ID in lieu of my normal non-Apple domain Apple ID, all to no avail.
I had no idea updating my Apple ID's password would be so problematic. Can anyone help me or has iTunes Radio simply gone crazy?Same issue since changing Apple ID password. Apple TV won't allow me to play my music of video purchases (says iTunes is currently unavailable). I'm able to play them on my mac and iPad, however. Radio on the other hand is completely crazy on all my devices - when choosing a station it immediately skips through several songs at a rapid pace then gets stuck on the "you're listening to iTunes radio" glitch as described above.
I've done a reset and factory restore of my Apple TV, signed in and out of my Apple ID, reset my router, NOTHING has worked. Apple support was no help.
I'm sorry I have nothing to contribute right now - I'll keep searching and share here if I find a solution.
Why is chaning my password causing such chaos?! -

Can't watch dvds any more. Error: RADIO. What's that suppose to me
Title says basically everything I need to know. Why, when I use the remote to open the creative media source engine to play a dvd and I try playing it it says Error: Radio. I mean, come on, what's the Radio got to do with watching Dvds? I get a nero dvd encoder error or something when I try using InterActual, so I end up just using either Windows media player or VLC. I use VLC instead because I basically use it for everything video related. My point is, I need help. How do I get rid of this Radio error message and play some dvds? I've tried reinstalling and everything as well. I want to use the program because I can use the remote with it. I removed the front cover of my case just to use this remote but now I cant really.
Specs: ASUS a8n32-sli deluxe, 7800gt, x-fi fataly Rev A with a heat sink on it, amd 3800x2, TWINX2048-3500LLPRO Corsair ram, and.... some sony dvd dual layer burners, oh yea, windows 64bit sp.
I used to be able to play movies on my old abit an8-sli, but since I've switched, It's been doing this. It's also harder to install this card on this motherboard because the cd drivers will not detect the card after you install drivers from the cd, I end up downloading the beta drivers off of creative to install, but did not try downloading media source from there for I dont know if it would do the same and if it would work with the remote. Games and everything plays fine besides some times the card mixes sounds that should be going to the left and end up being on the right and vise versa.Nope, does not help =/.
I've only have one decoder on my whole computer, VLC is just a program that has the codecs and decoders intergrated with it so no other players or system files can use them. It's a fresh install of windows and after I installed windows I went straight to chipset drivers (lan, mobo, nforce4, etc). After those I went and installed the video card and the sound card. I then rented a movie and tried playing it. Thats when I got the error, then I nero for a quick decoder because I did not want to go searching through my cds for my purenvida decoder thing.
I went and installed interactual from the cds for my mobo and gave me a corrupt decoder so I needed to watch the movie fast so I just went and installed VLC. After the movie, I uninstalled nero and got the pure nvidia decoder in and the same thing happens. I did remove everything even all registries going to the nero decoder and still the thing presist. The only decoder/codec on my computer now is the purevideo thing. The stuff still happens.
But this time when I installed the purevideo and went into interactual(after updates), it said I cant access the sound drivers for the program. Gi'ves me the following Problem:
You receive an "Audio Subsystem" error in InterActual Player when you attempt to play the disc.
Solution:
If you encounter an error in the Audio Subsystem when trying to play a DVD in InterActual Player, this usually means that there is an audio component of your system that is needed by InterActual Player, but is not available. Please make sure that any media programs that could use sound resources in your system are shut down. Examples include RealJukebox?, Music Match Jukebox?, or WinAmp. If any of these programs are running in the background, please make sure they are shut down, and try the DVD playback in InterActual Player again.
DVD playback in InterActual software usually uses the DirectSound components of your computer, which are installed with the DirectX set of drivers provided by Microsoft. If you continue to encounter the error, this may mean that DirectSound is not working properly on this system. Problems with DirectSound will most likely affect any program that depends on it, including some audio programs and many games. It may be necessary to upgrade or reinstall DirectX on your computer, as well as upgrading or reinstalling the drivers for your sound hardware as a potential solution to the issue. Please contact your computer manufacturer for help in doing this if you are not sure how to do it.
If nothing else works, this may simply be an installation problem with the DVD playback software provided on your computer, which is causing audio components to not be accessible. You may be able to resolve it by uninstalling and reinstalling this DVD playback software, using the software discs provided by the computer manufacturer. After doing this, try the DVD in the InterActual software again.
I've also tried this with no success now. There's something keeping the directx feature accessing the card is what I think that radio error is for. So, now all I need to know is how to fix this little problem if any one knows. -

Error 13 and 14: These errors are typically resolved by performing one of more of the steps listed below:
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including a different USB port directly on the computer.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different USB 30-pin dock connector cable.
[Eliminate third-party security software conflicts|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3125]
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your Registry. If your default packet size is set incorrectly it can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet size modification for assistance.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
